The following write up's were in the United Methodist Newspaper, Thanks to Jan the Editor of the United Methodist Church in Los Alamos Newspaper for sending them to us. They are AWESOME.....Serving.........is the topic.......

“CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP OF PRECIOUS PEOPLE”
This coming Sunday, Nov. 18th, will begin our church's annual fall
stewardship emphasis from the pulpit. As I say that I'm well-aware
that many of you will instantly think "money." Genuine Christian
stewardship is far, far larger than a money issue. Consider the
following personal story from 30 years ago:
Harwood Church, located in the inner city of Albuquerque, had a serious
vandalism problem. One of that congregation's older men, Carl, had a
virtually full-time volunteer job at the church repairing broken
windows. Sometimes the vandalism was more serious -- as when repeated
attempts were made, thankfully unsuccessful attempts, to set fire to
the chapel.
As a new, young pastor it didn't take me long to realize that the
church and the community surrounding it were very different. The
congregation was primarily older, Anglo persons. The community
consisted of mostly young Hispanic families. The congregation drove in
from the suburbs -- and drove back out to them, barely noticing the
neighborhood around the church except to complain about the constant
vandalism. The parsonage where the pastor was housed, however, was
next door to the church -- so I was confronted by this cultural divide
every single day.
It took much hard work and a lot of fund raising, most of it from
sources outside that church, but I was able, 10 months after arriving,
to start a summer recreation program for the community kids. An old
gymnasium was part of the Harwood property. We refurbished and
reopened it after its having been locked tight for more than a decade.
Most of the leaders of the Harwood congregation were unconvinced of the
value of this recreation program until, a month after it began, Carl
stood up on a Sunday morning and reported that, for the first time in
years, he hadn't had to repair a single broken window during the
previous week. Only then did it begin to dawn on them that investing
in the community around the church could be beneficial, both to the
community and the church.
That, people of God, is a stewardship story. The Lord had placed
precious people in the vicinity of a congregation of His church, but
the church folk hadn't "seen" them until they realized the mutual
benefit of community involvement. Within a year or two thereafter,
some of those community families began showing up in worship. But the
church had to first trust that investing in the community was "worth"
it.
One of our stewardship themes this fall is "trust." Another is
"enough." Can we trust God that he has provided enough resources -
including people - to sustain our church?
I, for one, believe He has! Praise the Lord!
Dr. Dave Ring

SERVICE IS A DIRTY WORD!
Service by definition is work done by one person or group that benefits
another. However, let us look at "service" in a slightly different way.
Have you ever considered the idea that you have a ministry? Have you
ever asked, at one time or another, "What is my place in this world?
Where do I fit in? What am I supposed to do?" I know I have. I've not
only asked these questions in relation to my work and personal life but
also with respect to the church and church family.
Paul eloquently states in Romans 12: 6-8 that "We have different gifts,
according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let
him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve;
if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him
encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give
generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is
showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."
Our place in this world is whatever ministry God has given us. Whether
you are a school teacher, scientist, businessperson, homemaker, lawyer,
or accountant, or involved in any other profession, you have a ministry
that God wants to perform through you.
The church also has a ministry; something unique that God wants to
accomplish through us. However, the church cannot do its purpose alone.
That is where we as individuals come in. Service to the church is one
way of moving into the path that God has for each of us.
Christian service is rooted in love and takes many forms. In our
culture, money is one of the central ways we serve the church. However,
giving of our time and expertise is equally important.
One person I know gives his time without fanfare. This person works so
quietly behind the scenes that it is easy to forget the enormous amount
of work involved. If there is a meeting going on that needs audio and
visual equipment, this person is there. You need a video of a service,
just ask and it is produced. Is there a birthday party that needs to
have fun? Sure come along and go skating. Is the band going to play at
Sullivan Field or Ashley Pond? The set up is done. Do you need to
record something? Just ask. I'm sure you all know this person.
Another gave of her time to sign checks when needed. She also was
involved in the Finance Committee, served on Trustees, and was another
quiet help with myriad projects around the church until her recent
passing on. She was always willing to do her part with a cheerful
attitude and a loving heart.
One of the biggest reasons that many of us feel inadequate to serve in
the church is because we believe we are not good enough or do not have
time enough. I know that I have often felt this way until I remembered
that some of the people that God used in the Bible had severe flaws.
Abraham was old, Joseph was abused, Elijah was suicidal, Timothy was
timid, and Paul had poor health. Even David committed adultery. If God
used these people to great effect, what can He do with someone like us?
Jesus did not say, "If you don't have any problems, then follow me."
A second reason is that very few people intentionally stop serving God
and others--it just happens. We tend to focus on our own problems such
as stress on the job or at home, and many other problems get in our
way. We forget that serving others is a great way of reducing our own
stress and allows us to forget our own problems for a while. Service is
the act of doing work for God with a willing heart that also helps us
to put our own problems into perspective.
A third reason is that volunteering is going to etch our name in stone,
guaranteeing annual expectations to perform the same task or other
tasks in the church with no respite. We will always be called upon to
perform tasks that no one else wants. Who needs that?
This objection is one of the hardest to deal with. The typical answer
is that the church needs your time as well as your money. The atypical
answer is the question 'How does God want you to use your time that He
has given you?" That is actually a harder question and one that takes a
great deal of prayer. Time is God's gift to us and we need to ask Him
how He wants us to use it.
This church is the most generous I know. We will give the shirts off of
our backs to help others. However, time? Time is a gift that cannot be
forced and cannot be required. No one will keep you on the "roll" if
you do not want to continue or are unable to continue to give of your
time. There are many ways to serve and time is only one of them. Start
out in a small way. Know your limits, and know when to say "enough is
enough." We have many willing volunteers at our church, so no one has
to serve more than they want to. A burned-out worker doesn't help
mankind nor glorifies God.
However, service is not just about so-called volunteer work. Service
includes the nurturing of healthy and life-giving relationships with
our friends, family, and colleagues. As stated in the Upper Room on
July 8, 1999, a young pastor challenged his congregation: "There is no
opportunity given to retire from our faith. There is no opportunity to
retire from our faith's call to love and to serve, is there?"
As God says in Deut. 10:12 "And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your
God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways,
to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul."
A church will not grow, and a body will not expand, unless every member
says, "I must play a part." My challenge for us is simply to become a
better membership. Practice random acts of kindness; find an ongoing,
structured place to serve; and do something big for others each year.
Add fuel to your spiritual life by serving Jesus through serving
others. And remember love and service are lifetime commitments.

God's blessings on you always,

Louise Mendius
Annual Delegate

WOW! Two great articles. Thanks again to Jan for sending them on to us! We are here to serve not to be served. Jan does a great job!!!

Let's see......Please pray for Joe Rowe's little girl who fell and broke her arm. The Doctor's could not set it so they have to do surgery.

Our oldest dog....Brownie who is 17 was bleeding from her face yesterday....Many of you who read the Cup know how special Brownie is to us.....it turns out that she has a badly infected tooth that Lord willing will be removed today. I know my sister Deb reads the Cup everyday and she always said, That Brownie sure IS YOUR DOG! meaning that we stuck together like a postage stamp!

Here is an interesting letter from Robert.........

My 16 year old daughter is currently enrolled in a public school that has a large number of Muslim students. At the school, she is taking an Arabic class and during class, they sometimes watch movies that include Arabic in order to learn the language. My daughter has brought in a couple of films in the past, but yesterday brought in the Arabic translation of the Jesus Film. The teacher enthusiastically showed the film to the class as they translated the film orally into English. This version of the film, attempts to tell the story from an Arab perspective, which makes it especially effective. The film sparked many discussions about Christianity in the classroom and after the film, many of the kids were begging to read my daughter's Bible to see what the Bible actually says.

I don't want to say the name of the school because I don't want anyone to try to stop it, but be in prayer for my daughter as she shares the love of Jesus.

Blessings!

Robert

WOW! PRAISE GOD!!

That's brings to my mind the movie, "Kabul24" Produced by Michael W. Smith and narrated by Jim Caviezel. We are giving away some of the DVD's on New Mexico News and Views. Sharon and I watched it last night, it is AWESOME! It is the story of the 8 Western workers who were taken hostage by the Taliban, true story! If you would like a copy be the first to email me!

I Pray that this next one comes through for you on your email or that Jannetta can post it on the web site. This made my day. Pastor Garland Moore sent it in.........

The Safest Place
How to stay safe in the World today

1. Avoid riding in automobiles
because they are responsible for
20% of all fatal accidents.

2. Do not stay home because
17% of all accidents occur in the home.

3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks
because 14% of all accidents
occur to pedestrians.

4... Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water
because 16% of all accidents involve
these forms of transportation.

5. Of the remaining 33%,
32% of all deaths occur in Hospitals.
So,
... above all else,
avoid hospitals.

But,
.... You will be pleased to learn that only .001%
of all deaths occur in worship services in church,
and these are usually related to previous physical disorders.
Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is at church!

.... And....Bible study is safe too.
The percentage of deaths
during Bible study is even less.

So,
Attend church,
and read your Bible
IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Thanks Pastor Garland that was AWESOME!!!!

Now here is Max.........

Unfailing Love
by Max Lucado

“Love,” Paul says, “never fails” (1 Cor. 13:8 NIV).

The verb Paul uses for the word fail is used elsewhere to describe the demise of a flower as it falls to the ground, withers, and decays. It carries the meaning of death and abolishment. God’s love, says the apostle, will never fall to the ground, wither, and decay. By its nature, it is permanent. It is never abolished.

Love “will last forever” (NLT).

It “never dies” (MSG).

It “never ends” (RSV).

Love “is eternal” (TEV).

God’s love “will never come to an end” (NEB).

Love never fails.

Governments will fail, but God’s love will last. Crowns are temporary, but love is eternal. Your money will run out, but his love never will.

How could God have a love like this? No one has unfailing love. No person can love with perfection. You’re right. No person can. But God is not a person. Unlike our love, his never fails. His love is immensely different from ours.

Our love depends on the receiver of the love. Let a thousand people pass before us, and we will not feel the same about each. Our love will be regulated by their appearance, by their personalities. Even when we find a few people we like, our feelings will fluctuate. How they treat us will affect how we love them. The receiver regulates our love.

Not so with the love of God. We have no thermostatic impact on his love for us. The love of God is born from within him, not from what he finds in us. His love is uncaused and spontaneous.

Does he love us because of our goodness? Because of our kindness? Because of our great faith? No, he loves us because of his goodness, kindness, and great faith. John says it like this: “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us” (1 John 4:10 NIV).

Doesn’t this thought comfort you? God’s love does not hinge on yours. The abundance of your love does not increase his. The lack of your love does not diminish his. Your goodness does not enhance his love, nor does your weakness dilute it. What Moses said to Israel is what God says to us:

The LORD did not choose you and lavish his love on you because you were larger or greater than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! It was simply because the LORD loves you. (Deut. 7:7–8 NLT)

God loves you simply because he has chosen to do so.

He loves you when you don’t feel lovely.

He loves you when no one else loves you. Others may abandon you, divorce you, and ignore you, but God will love you. Always. No matter what.

This is his sentiment: “I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies; I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved” (Rom. 9:25 MSG).

This is his promise. “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself” (Jer. 31:3 NLT).

Let us pray over the following from John Robb.........

There is but one road which reaches God and that is prayer. If anyone shows you another, you are being deceived. –Teresa of Avila (1515-1582), Collected Works
During the darkest periods of history, quite often a small number of men and women, scattered throughout the world, have been able to reverse the source of historical evolutions. This was only possible because they hoped beyond all hope. What had been bound for disintegration then entered into the current of a new dynamism.- Roger Schutz, Living Today for God

Dear Friends,
Yesterday, it was my privilege to be interviewed for a three-part radio series on the power of prayer to change the world and was excited to my core once again to think of the Lord’s readiness to intervene and change history when His people resort to united and authoritative prayer in discouraging, even impossible situations. I recounted actual stories from past prayer initiatives in nations experiencing great suffering and conflict and how God broke through, stunningly changing the headlines sometimes within a day or a few days, and other times through a lengthier process that was no less remarkable for its striking and completely unexpected outcomes. During the interviews, Norm Nelson of Compassion Radio and I discussed the importance of our grasping and utilizing the spiritual authority Christ has delegated to us, especially as He describes it in Luke 10:17-21. We agreed that we could see so many more breakthroughs if we get hold of this awesome prerogative and begin to utilize it! Anyway, the interviews should be broadcast next week here in many parts of the USA and are also available on the Compassion Radio website www.compassionradio.com if you are interested to hear more about this.

Right now we have the opportunity to release our faith and Christ-given authority in prayer for the following:
For the Pakistani army’s efforts to subdue the Taliban in South Waziristan to be fully successful. They have already succeeded in taking a key stronghold and now are tightening their cordon around the other Taliban strongholds. Let’s thank the Lord for the good progress and pray for the complete disbanding of this terrorist force that is bringing so much destruction and destabilization to this geopolitically key nation. Let’s also pray for the Obama administration as they deliberate on sending more military forces to Afghanistan, just across the border from where the Pakistanis are fighting the same menace. Victory on both sides of the border is absolutely crucial not only to the wellbeing of these countries but also to our whole world, so please continue to pray, staying in touch with the news reports.

Parts of several nations in East Africa have received no rain in a year and are in increasing danger of widespread famine as food and water resources have diminished. Please pray for a compassionate and effective international relief effort and for the rains to come again for the healing of the land and the rescue of its people.

The American Film Market Prayer Initiative will be held November 4-11 in Santa Monica, California. Pastor Gary Zethraeus writes: “AFM is the largest film market of it kind, similar to the Sundance Film Festival. The AFM has 8,000 participants from all over the world come to view and buy independent films. AFM is a marketplace where production and distribution deals are closed and subsequently released, making it the largest gateway to release culture and values in the world… Historically, this event has caused many nations (buyers from 70 plus nations) to release films that~create and change cultures.~~We would like you to come into agreement with us in prayer~for this event. Last year's Prayer Initiative started a shift to more family oriented films that were previously overlooked…Join us to ask God for the keys (blocks and spiritual strategies) to the change He desires so buyers will see and be drawn to higher value films. We are looking for partners to move forward with this Prayer Initiative as well as implement strategies that God has given them, taking Kingdom dominion over the strongholds and places of defilement that have been erected.” Pray for His guidance, protection and unity for local believers as they pray- walk, evangelize and hold group prayer and worship during this event.

Finally, one of the most thrilling developments in the international prayer movement is the increasing role of children and their prayers in bringing Christ’s transformation to their communities and nations. Please pray for colleagues who are helping to ignite Children in Prayer efforts in the nations. We believe it is God’s heart and purpose for this movement spread to every nation on earth. May it be so in our lifetimes! One of these colleagues has recently put up a wonderful website with many resources from around the world that will help those who want to encourage children to pray. It is www.childreninprayer.org if you or others you know would be interested to use them free of charge. The IPC website www.ipcprayer.org has Children in Prayer and other videos on its “Resources” page that can also be utilized free of charge so please check them out and circulate them to other intercessors you are in touch with.

God’s richest blessings to you,
John Robb

Here's what is coming up Saturday with Dr. Deb.........

Dear Listeners,

We know that the Christian life is not always easy. However, The Word of God provides the answers to life’s problems (Hebrews 4:12-13 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17). My guest this week is Biblical Counselor, Daniel Schuman. Daniel has a Masters degree in Biblical Counseling from Southern Seminary. He will talk about the differences between Biblical Counseling and secular clinical counseling. The world invites us to question the Word of God and often deceives us with the ideas, philosophies, and traditions of men (Colossians 2:8). Join us for this important discussion about how to find the answers to life’s problems through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The show airs from 8:05 to 9:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) this Saturday October 31 on radio station KKIM-AM1000 in Albuquerque and FM94.7 in the Santa Fe /northern NM area. Prayer/Praise/News Cup KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Good Day to you!!!

May the Peace and the Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

Communion with God is as indispensable as breathing!

God's Word is like fuel for prayer!

Here's a good one for you...I couldn't agree more.as I talked with Ed Moore of WFRN radio, www.wfrn.com yesterday.........

"Remember that the most valuable antiques are dear old friends." H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Did I just call Ed an Antique?

It is COLD!!! Pastor Mark Scales Tweeted last night, "Winter is here!"

Santa Fe area could see snow tomorrow! The Duke City could see snow showers.

I am sadden by the lack of good media coverage of the state's budget issues!

I'm waiting for Jan of the Methodist Church in Los Alamos to email me two AWESOME write up's on serving the Lord and His people. One is by Pastor David Ring. I hope to get them soon so we can post them, excellent messages! Jan does a great job with the Church's newspaper! I wish more Church's had a monthly newspaper or newsletter, especially for the folks who are shut-in!

Please make sure and pray over our prayer needs today, they are below.

Yesterday I shared with you on John 14 and discernment. Discernment came up in our interview with State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones yesterday on NM News and Views. The Lord has moved me to share this once again.......

"the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

John 14:17

To know the Truth is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

In verse 16 it says......"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--------the Spirit of Truth

The Lord covers you with the Truth.....stay close to Jesus and you will know the Truth.

When we walk with the Lord he also gives us discernment. Discernment is lacking so much in our society today.......

Main Entry: dis·cern·ment
Pronunciation: \di-ˈsərn-mənt, -ˈzərn-\
Function: noun
Date: 1586
1 : the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure : skill in discerning
2 : an act of discerning

synonyms discernment, discrimination, perception, penetration, insight, acumen mean a power to see what is not evident to the average mind. discernment stresses accuracy (as in reading character or motives or appreciating art) the discernment to know true friends. discrimination stresses the power to distinguish and select what is true or appropriate or excellent the discrimination that develops through listening to a lot of great music>. perception implies quick and often sympathetic discernment (as of shades of feeling) a novelist of keen perception into human motives. penetration implies a searching mind that goes beyond what is obvious or superficial lacks the penetration to see the scorn beneath their friendly smiles>. insight suggests depth of discernment coupled with understanding sympathy -a documentary providing insight into the plight of the homeless. acumen implies characteristic penetration combined with keen practical judgment

As pastor Mark Tross said last night we should not be surprised with the problems in our government because many have the lack of discernment, as they do not walk with Jesus.

This is how important the Great Commission is!

When we walk with Jesus he gives us many things, and one of those is discernment. It is badly needed. Jesus also gives us the spirit to blush.......this country has forgotten how to. My dad still blushed right up until the day he died. I don't think many of our younger people even know what the word means because it has been lost in today's society. Has America also lost the ability to weep?

Dearest Dewey,

My wonderful sister Mary (a young 51), who I wrote you about last week regarding the immense pain she has been in, has had her surgery moved up and is scheduled to have a hip replacement tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 10a). She's a gifted OR Nurse and knows what to expect, but is still, understandably scared. Please ask you daily readers to lift her up in prayer ~ pray that her doctors and nurses be guided by our precious Lord and that her surgery is a complete success and she is restored to perfect physical health. Please also pray that her daughter, Taylour, who is expecting her third baby any moment has a safe labor and a healthy little girl (who hopefully waits until grandma is out of the hospital to make her debut)!

The power of prayer is so very awesome and I know that you have so many believers who read your Cup each day. I thank each of them in advance for praying for my sister, niece and soon-to-be great-niece ~ their compassion and kindness is appreciated more than I am able to express.

You're a light in a dark world Mr. Moede...

God bless,

Taunya

We are praying Taunya. Please keep us posted.

Would you also pray for me and Pastor Jim Montoya, and others that surround us, as we get ready to launch Dewey's Daily Cup and the Los Lunas Church of God TV program on Ch 32 Kazq. We are sort of ready! LOL! LOL! I have been dragging my feet on this the last 2 weeks and then Pastor Tross emails me and ask's, "Are we doing the show this week?" Well I just didn't know for various reasons, money, time etc.......Then I went to sleep and then was awaken by the Spirit, What do you mean you don't have the money ore the time?.....You should not worry......You need to do this, I will take care of your energy, time and resources......Okay so here we go......Please keep this in your prayers and I will keep you informed!!

Praise Note: Got a special gift in the mail! Haley Bates, mailed me a fall decoration, it hang's on my door knob and it is a fall scene of pumpkins and brining Jesus into Halloween! I love children. They lower my blood pressure!

Praise Note: Got a call from Jim Levy of Focus on the Family yesterday. Jim was doing a check up on stations. He was really pleased in the Lord with the KKIM radio Ministry. He was really impressed with the www.mykkim.com web site!

This past weekend there was a wonderful opportunity in the Lord for Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals to get together. Both Congressman Bill Redmond and Attorney David Standridge (Both spoke at the event) sadly told me the turn out was low. Below Bill gives us a run down of the days events......

The Celebrate Life, Family & Marriage Conference Sponsored by Project Defending Life, Legacy Church, Catholic Coalition of New Mexico and the Center for New Mexico Policy was held last Saturday at Legacy Church. The conference featured national and local speakers. Among them were Joe Scheidler who pioneered sidewalk counseling outside abortion clinics in Chicago. Many young men and women alive today being blessed with their own families are the heritage of Mr. Scheidler's work in the 1970's and 1980's. Congressman Redmond credits Mr. Scheidler as a pro-life hero who inspired him more than two decades ago. Also featured at the conference was Dr. Scott Lively, founder of Defend the Family and Redemption Gate Mission Society. Dr. Lively is the author of Redeeming the Rainbow and the Pink Swastika. Dr. Lively is on the top five "Most Dangerous" list by national homosexual and lesbian organizations. The audience at the conference was shocked and surprised as Dr. Lively unfolded the history of German homosexuals who founded the Nazi Party prior to Adolf Hitler. The expose highlighted the homosexual roots of German Fascism with warnings to America of ever increasing influence of homosexuals in American government, educational and commercial domains. These German Fascists were the first to establish national homosexual organizations in the United States. Other notable speakers include, Dr. Tony Levatino-former abortionist, Stephanie Block-LosPequenos reporter who exposed Alinsky (ACORN) organizing within Christian churches, and Martha Beasley-Silent No More/Project Rachel who spoke on healing from abortion.

Local speakers included Dauneen Dolce with New Mexico Right to Life, Pastor Steve Smothermon of Legacy Church, Attorney David Standridge,Fr. Steven Imbarato of Project Defending Life, Pastor Mike Naranjo of The Rock Christian Outreach. Fr. Terry Brennen and former Congressman Bill Redmond shared a session together stressing the importance of individual Christian involvement in the political process. Many thanks to Mr. Phil Sevilla and Pastor Steve Smothermon for their vision and hard work to make the conference a reality. For information of future conferences subscribe to projectdefendinglife.org and Action Alerts at TVACNM.com.

Many Pastor's and Church leaders told me that they did not know of the event until it was too late. They already had scheduled events. So I think there would have been more, with more notice. Many people put a lot of work into this event and it always saddens me when the attendance is low, Let us pray that next time the word get's out early!

Let us pray...............

Lord, Teach us all this mysterious union between You and the Holy Spirit. May the Spirit so work in us that we all will know Your presence in everything....everything.....everything.... we do. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Drop us a line we would love to hear from you!

NM Special Session Wrap with State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones/KKIM

Dear KKIM Family,

State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones gives us her take on the just completed New Mexico Legislative Special Session.........

Dewey:

Special Session at best a band aid at worst a failure to act. We approved a budget bill HB17/33 that made across the board cuts in many agencies, but limited State Police cuts to 2% will directing the Governor to first cut 80 (revised to 102 by Senate) exempt positions and benefits. Very troubling was the reduction in Developmental Disability Waivers, about 4 million, but all the dollars were replaced with federal dollars that will run out at the end of 2010. Now what?

We swept all cash balances available, a prudent move, as long as you recognize that any emergency in an agency will now require Board of Finance action.

We "swapped" capital projects funded with General Fund dollars to be replaced with Severance Tax Bonds. This may be a problem as most of the projects are under way. If the Governor signs this bill, I believe all projects will come to a stop until the Bonds can be sold in December. You could look at this move as taking a second mortgage. Sometimes necessary. Incidentally, the reason some capital projects were funded with General Fund dollars was because we had cash. The more common way to fund such projects is with Bonds. Also, the projects involved in this "swap" must meet the criteria for bonds. Projects involving non-profit agencies, even though it is via an RFP through a local government, may not qualify for bonds.

We took $225 million from the operating reserve to pay for the overspending in 2009. We took $115 million from the Tax Stabilization fund (restricted reserve) to pay for shortfalls in 2010.

One of the problems we had in the session was to determine exactly how "overspent" we were for fiscal year 2009 that is already over. We we given figures that ranged from a low of $208 million to a high of $325 million. I hope that the $225 million covers it!

Dewey, a budget is a projection. We projected that the 2010 budget could be $5.4 billion. Well revenues are not keeping up. Four months into the year it is clear that the State will not meet that revenue projections. Most households would immediately change their spending habits so they could save up enough to get rid of the second mortgage quickly. We did not accomplish that step in our solvency plan.

PS: We were called into special session because it was an emergency. If the Governor takes the full 20 days to act, that will be the middle of November. If we can wait three weeks to solve this emergency might we have waited nine weeks for the regular session to do the job right?

Special session was very poorly planned. You would think that the Governor would have already listened to State employees to see where there were problems and potential cost savings. Very much like attending a High School Prom, except the Prom committee had only secured the location, but was still working on getting the band, decorations and food as everyone was arriving. All events, especially deliberative type events, require sufficient planning and organization to be successful.

Governor Bill Richardson Asks Public for Input on Legislative Budget Cuts

SANTA FE – Governor Bill Richardson is asking New Mexicans to contact his office with their opinions about the budget bills passed last week by the Legislature.

While the Legislature made minimal cuts to education, legislators targeted state agencies under the control of the Governor for the most drastic cuts. That means critical services will be cut. For example, while legislators claimed to have protected Medicaid funding, critical programs such as behavioral health care, children’s healthcare and programs for the elderly were not spared.

The Governor has 20 days to sign, veto or partially veto the budget bills.

New Mexicans can contact the Governor’s Office with their thoughts about the budget bills by email: Special.session@state.nm.us or by phone: 505-476-2210

Monday AM CUP/Note from Gov. KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

A special hello this morning to Eric, Chris, Claudia, and Dustin......KKIM listeners who where in Church yesterday at Los Lunas Church of God where I preached! It was an AWESOME day in the Lord!

I am asked how do you know you are telling the truth when you deliver the news or are commenting on events of the day........

I preached on this yesterday...........

When I see what is going on at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe and in Washington........it is for a lack of a relationship with Jesus Christ. A lack of common sense. A lack of discernment.

They can talk all they want about Ethics reform, Health care reform..but until hearts are changed we will get more of the same.

If our failure to speak out against wickedness can in any way be interpreted as approval of the practice, then we are guilty as well. Look around-----is there sin surrounding you to which you have grown accustomed? Are you willing to take a stand regardless of the cost?

Sandy Grove of Windom, Minn sent this in.............saying, "Isn't this what you have been talking about???...........

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl, Shelby.. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby and said, 'Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will show you our whole country today..'

After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map, correctly fitted and taped together... The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly. 'Oh,' she said, 'on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then our country just came together..'

This one is worthy forwarding.
OVER AND OVER
AMEN!!!!

Sooo......... when we get Jesus back where he Belongs--

our country will come together.

AMEN SANDY!!! AMEN SANDY!!!

And the Church coming together! We saw that this weekend with two great events in Albuquerque that brought Catholics, Protestants, and Evangelicals together! PRAISE GOD!

I got this asked of me yesterday, and this comes up more often than not........

I want to go into Ministry! Is the Lord in this? Where is your wife in this? Are you together in this? Whenever we get the urge to step out on an adventure make sure the Lord is in it.......Make sure you and your wife or husband are together.......pray and seek counsel from Godly men and women.

Let us check the mailbag........

This from the Gov's Office........

SANTA FE – Governor Bill Richardson is asking New Mexicans to contact his office with their opinions about the budget bills passed last week by the Legislature.

Lord willing we will be getting more information on what went on at the Special Session later today from State Rep's Janice E Arnold Jones and Nora Espinoza. Janice told me on Saturday that the State Government could be shut down in 3 wks depending on what happens with the bill the House and Senate sent to the Gov. Nora said it is one big mess! Janice and Nora are tired I am sure from the Special Session.....remember New Mexico, this is a Volunteer Legislature....non-paid. I believe there are 212 members of the House and Senate, all Volunteers. Please pray for them.

Here is what is going on in Maine, where Angel Murchison lives. Angel's program, "Destiny Moments" is heard Fridays at 2:30pm on KKIM.

On Nov. 3, Maine voters will become the first in any state with the chance to repeal or uphold a law passed by their Legislature and signed by their governor, legalizing same-sex marriage. We are praying and believing that the Lord and his people will not allow this to pass. Lou Engle is here in Maine this weekend holding prayer meetings throughout the state in regards to this issue. We covet your prayers as well. We must stand for truth. Love the sinner, but hate the sin. Lord show yourself strong here in Maine.

Have a blessed day Dewey. Praying for you, KKIM and your families.

Angel

Dewey,

I wanted to respond to this. I have great respect for Mr. Clymer's commitment to Christ. To stand for what you believe in these days is becoming far too rare. But I can't help but think that we are in the world but not of it. We are here to be salt and light in a dark world. Would it not be better for if Mr. Clymer stayed in his position and continued to exert his Christian influence as President of a large corporation such as Holiday Inn. To put it another way, would our great state representatives, Janice E Arnold Jones and Nora Espinoza be better servants of Christ if the resigned when an ungodly law was passed? We need good people there to represent us.

I think we need Christians to be salt and light in this world. Sometimes our place might be difficult to be in, but God puts us there for His purpose, not ours.
Dustin

Dear Dewey, Sharon and family, Gods Peace'
"Godly men and women cannot be content in the presence of wickedness". I could see how some would read that and take it as a suggestion or a holy order. But Dewey, it is not either. It is a fact. It just IS.
Godly men and women know in their hearts when wickedness is dwelling near them. Our second sense as some would call it, I call it the Holy Spirit, makes us uneasy/un content. It is automatic. Not a desire. I am reminded of that daily. I see it everywhere. But know, because the holy book has instructed, that it will not be this way long. It seems as though the end times are coming soon. We can look up and be thankful for that.
Sincerely, sam

Let us pray...............

Lord, Thank You for Your Word and for the role it has in our prayer life. Help us to apply in prayer what we learn from it. In Jesus name, AMEN!!!

Ephesians 5:3 CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

It is a Blessing to be with you all today!

May the Peace and Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

I want to thank all of the new Ministry Sponsor's who have joined the KKIM Family, What a difference you make!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

For God's Glory Alone!

Our heads may be spinning with all the corruption around is in our State Government and elsewhere, but we must stand strong in the Lord!

Even the Roman Soldiers had spikes underneath their sandals to dig in!

But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Eph 5:3 AMEN! AMEN!

L.M. Clymer was President of Holiday Inn Hotel chain when the board made a decision to invest $25 million in a gambling casino in Atlantic City. As a committed Christian (You see there is difference...Are YOU and I committed?) he protested the move to invest in the casino. He was overruled, and he resigned, unwilling to compromise his moral and spiritual convictions.
Godly men and women cannot be content in the presence of wickedness. Do I need to repeat that?
If I was on the radio now, I would read that twice!
Christians cannot sit on their hands on this!
Some would say to Mr. Clymer, "You can't help what the board decides. Besides, your not gambling; your not doing anything wrong." But the Apostle Paul told the Roman Christians that God's judgement is upon those who not only sin themselves but give approval to others who sin. Romans 1:32
If our failure to speak out against wickedness can in any way be interpreted as approval of the practice, then we are guilty as well.
Look around-----is there sin surrounding you to which you have grown accustomed?
In New Mexico, there is plenty of sin in government that people have grown accustomed to!
Look around......in your life.......What sin, if any have you and I grown accustomed to?
Are you willing to take a stand regardless of the cost?
A voice of dissent unheard speaks as loud as any shout of approval.
I would read that last part again...........

There are two huge events in the Duke City this weekend..........please go to www.mykkim.com and read all about them. People of all faiths are coming together in both these events!

Here is one of my favorite parts!!! The mailbag......Would love to hear from you!

Great Day in the Lord!

Wonderful Posting Mr. Dewey, and State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones

(Apologies, I thought I sent this out yesterday)

Here's an idea that would help save this state tons of money:

Significantly reduce the number of state and local government employees taking their State and Local GOVERNMENT vehicles home everyday. (you see many of them on the freeways every morning).

And yes, I have heard all the excuses... it is still a perk...

I work in the federal government, and I never had that perk.

I pay for my transportation, every day... out of my paycheck, which is still a lot less then the averaged $80,0000.00 you were talking about for the 500 (or so), Governor's appointed jobs.

Is it me or does that really add up to around 40 million dollars... Anyway, can you say "bye, bye"... Lets lose most of those appointment jobs.

And make a significant dent in the spending by this states governmental agencies for fuel, and miscellaneous damages to Government vehicles, etc... That would be a start and a help.

Joe The American

I really appreciate the information you are providing to others. Thank you Brother!

Here is a note on the status of our dear friend Matthew Evans.........

Hi Dewey,

Just a quick update on the Bible Bee. We just found out that the finals on Friday, November 6, 2009 are going to be broadcast live on the internet. We don't know that Matthew will make it that far, but once we have more details, we'll let you know. : )

Thanks so much,

NEWS MAKERS OF THE DAY:

The USS NEW MEXICO has been christened and is now waterborne. The next construction event will be her commissioning as a United States Navy submarine. It is anticipated that NEW MEXICO commissioning will be held in January 2010 at the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia.

As the host state, New Mexico has many responsibilities in making sure the commissioning is a world-class event. While the Navy supplies the submarine, crew, and pier, the rest is up to the state’s Commissioning Committee. The USS New Mexico Commissioning Committee is part of the Navy League’s New Mexico Council. It is this committee that led the five year statewide grassroots initiative to have the sixth Virginia-class submarine named NEW MEXICO. It has been involved in construction milestone ceremonies and crew support activities for the past four years.

The events that the Commissioning Committee is responsible for include a crew party, a luncheon for the Ship’s Sponsor, the CO’s Reception & Dinner, a breakfast for the platform briefing, and a post-commissioning reception. The expense for these events must be borne by the Commissioning Committee. In order to raise funds for these events the committee is seeking contributions. Contributions over a wide range are being sought. Go to Commissioning Contributions at http://www.ussnewmexico.net for more information.

Dick Brown, Chairman of the USS NM Commissioning Committee, joined us this afternoon to talk about the above article and the USS NM, which was a Navy League Innitiation that will honor the 1915 Battleship NM of WW1. They are presently raising funds for a number of events and have a $200K budget (you can contribute by visiting their website above). The crew is already on board, have been for the past 3 years and number 134. This a living tribute and is a great honor for NM, says Brown. He is a former sailor from the 1069's and has worked 10 years to see this dream come true, 5 years were spent, just for the name of the ship. With only 20 members, many who are Navy Vets, they are always looking for more Volunteers for the Navy League, so if you would like more information, to have them come to your church or organization for a power point presentation or tickets to this event, go to their website or write:

Chuck Bates, co-host of News & Views, which is heard every weekday here from 11am-1pm on KKIM, AM 1000 Albuquerque, FM 94.7 Santa Fe and worldwide on http://mykkim.com joined us to comment on our opening news article, The Hate Crimes Bill. He mentioned how the Senate had to attach it to a Defense Appropriations Bill, in order to get it passed and quoted Noah Webster, who said that homosexuality is "A Crime Against Nature," When asked by Dewey about Senator Snowe (story above), Chuck commented, "I think she's a sell-out!" Asked about the "Pay Zar?" He said that GM was taken over by an 'out of control President.' Chuck went on to say that New Mexicans voted for Al Gore and President Obama, so when questioned about the stimulus package, he asked, "Where's the money for NM? Government is too BIG, it's BLOATED and yet Government continues to expand in a down-turn." I told Dewey after that interview, he is surrounded by a wealth of professionals on KKIM!

Statement on Gary Blands resignation from NM SIC from State Rep Janice E Arnold Jones

Dewey:

Gary Bland has resigned as head of the State Investment Council. I understand he would have suffered a vote of no confidence at a meeting later this week. Many of the risky investment practices used by the State over the last seven years were performed under the guidance of Mr. Bland. I think everyone should be given a reasonable chance to prove themselves, including Mr. Bland, although I thought his salary was excessive, While working on the Regional Housing Authority issue, Mr. Bland never backed off from insisting that the Housing Authority had serious problems that had to be addressed. I appreciated his stand. However, an early statement of Mr. Bland's stuck with me. We were discussing rare musical instruments. Mr. Bland's comment was something like -- we should get extra insurance, then let a truck run over it. We will make more money. My heart sank. This colorful character and I did not value the same things.

KKIM NEWS ALERT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The latest from the Roundhouse.........there are smoke in them hills .I think it is coming from the Roundhouse! The Gov is meeting with Legislative members...here is a report from State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones from the Roundhouse.........just got this moments ago...........

Dewey:

Please allow me to vent. This system of one party domination is hurting our State! We are $325 million short on paying the bills in 2009 and it is clear we will not have the income necessary to meet the 2010 budget - a shortfall of $660 million. Worse -- we are four months into the 2010 year with little hope of a "repair" that will soften the budget catastrophe looming in 2011.

The saddest part of all this is my colleagues, on the other side of the isle, know what is right yet they continue to try to protect and defend the Richardson/Denish Administration. If you or I managed our business budgets in the same way the Governor has managed the State budget, we would both be looking for a new job! To watch my colleagues condone the Governor's neglect and bullying is heartbreaking.

So here we sit on the floor House, waiting, waiting to convene the Appropriations Committee. It was supposed to meet at 11:00 AM, Waiting to convene the Floor Session that was supposed to convene at 1:00 PM. It is now 6:20 PM. We are still waiting.

My colleagues are in a caucus hoping to come to an agreement between themselves and I assume with the Governor. And we wait...

Thanks for allowing me to vent . . .

Very pleased about your accomplishment. So wonderful news.

Thanks.

Also things really heated up for the Gov. when this was announced...from www.nmindependent.com

State investment officer Gary Bland resigns
The head of the State Investment Council resigned this afternoon, a spokesman just confirmed.

In recent months, Gary Bland has been dogged by this lawsuit, (in which he is named) among other things, but hasn't issued a public statement yet on why he's leaving.

New Mexico spent $220,123 between March and July on lawyers to defend the state on the lawsuit over an alleged pay-to-play scheme, known as Foy v. Vanderbilt, according to records obtained by The New Mexican. That's in addition to $119,680 spent on the case in January and February.

Bland's resignation comes as other financial scandals abound.

Bland's resignation letter says he's "saddened and disappointed" to tender his resignation, effective immediately, but doesn't say why.

A Gov. Bill Richardson spokesman said the governor has accepted the resignation.

"Governor Richardson has accepted Gary Bland's resignation and thanks him for his service to New Mexico. The governor will start the process to name a successor to run the State Investment Office," Richardson spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said.

The announcement comes as the investment council this afternoon posted a notice about an emergency meeting for tomorrow, but later canceled it.

KKIM NEWS: State Rep Response

Dear KKIM Family,

Here is a response from State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones on my earlier posting......
She has common sense written all over her! Hope you heard her a week ago explaining the Budget crises on NM News and Views.......

Dewey; the Republican members of the House offered 48 ideas to cut costs that the Governor could enact today -- steps that did not require any legislative action among those ideas was the release of non-violent offenders who were within 90 days of their scheduled release date. Also on that list was the elimination of the rose bowl float. The point is the Governor has overspent. We're here. Now how is/are he/we going to fix the problem?

this process will be difficult and some choices unpleasant.

Rather than stand without solutions we tried to bring to light cost saving ideas that could be implemented with almost immediate affect. Most of these ideas were pulled from e-mails sent by our constituents. Some of the ideas were great. Some need thought. We were so impressed that we created an e-mail address to solicit more cost saving ideas. We hope everyone, especially State employees, will share what they see, how we can save money and at the same time improve service to our citizens. The e-mail address is NMBudgetIdeas@gmail.com
talk about choices, the House voted to suspend contributions to the State's teacher pension fund the same fund that we required an additional contribution from teachers in January. Choices! I thought this was a poor choice.

Always appreciate KKIM/ Daily Cup and your service to our awesome God. Please continue to pray for wisdom and guidance for your servant legislators. Janice

And from Shona in White Rock, NM.........

Dewey,

Yes, it is a sad state of affairs. But, just last night I was telling my hubby that I'll bet I could go to SF and cut the budget.....and I'll bet I could do it in one day! If my personal budget was in such shambles, I could do it there too.

Gov Richardson just doesn't live in the real world and I figure that the current politicians (even the good ones) are so close to the situation (and to those who want/need) money, that they are having a hard time being objective. IF we got some citizens in the budget meetings that didn't have any ties to any entities receiving gov't money, there would be some effective (if painful) cuts that would help eliminate waste.

KKIM NEWS SPECIAL SESSION REPORT

Dear KKIM Family,

I am moved by the Lord to send these thoughts on the New Mexico State Legislature's Special Session.

Here go my random thoughts.............

How come these folks think they can fix a nearly 700 million dollar problem in a few days?

The Gov. wanted it done in one day!

The Gov. and Legislature would never want to go shopping with Sharon or me.........we take hours to make a small purchase.

There talking about nearly 700 million!

And they seem not to have their figures straight..........

I have been told the following..........

The Special session is costing taxpayers $50,000 a day

The Special session is costing $80,000 a day

How come know ones how much it is costing?

I guess that is one of the reasons we are 700 mil in the hole, nobody knows the cost of anything.

Gov. Gary Johnson had 167 at will employees when he served. Gov. Richardson has so many his staff cannot come up with the number.

His aides say it's like 450.

Some reports have it around 500.

The Gov. doesn't even know?

The Legislature doesn't even know?

These are employees that the Gov. hires for his staffing.

My sources tell me that the average salary of these folks is $80,000 plus!

It would be nice to get a count on them!

Do they all come to work everyday?

The Gov's personal Chef makes $90,000 a year.

I think the Gov. should do his own cooking like you and I........he needs to go on a diet anyhow.......both fiscal and food wise LOL!

The First Ladies assistant makes $105,000 a year........Does the First Lady even live in New Mexico?

The manager of the Gov's mansion makes $79,000 a year.

What did these folks do when the Gov. was out of New Mexico running for President?

Oh.....and how about the salary the Gov. made from the State of New Mexico when he was out of the state for about a year running for President..I think the state should get a rebate!

And now the GOP wants an early release of non-violent criminals to save money? Are they nuts?

I can hear every crook from here to Timbuktu, "WOW, This bad economy is so good for us..they'll never be able to keep us in the joint!"

Yes the GOP has Public Safety on their minds!

Hey, but the State Tourism Bureau is paying thousands to have a float in the Rose Bowl Parade!!!!! I guess they were not happy with the Gov's float on Elephant Butte Lake!

And then this morning..........

The headlines in the Albuquerque Journal.... CITY HALL SALARIES BOOSTED!!!

Can you believe it?

About a week after the city election, a handful of city employees received pay raises,
including a 67 percent bump for an aide to the mayor!

Mayor Elect Berry is not exempt from this lack of common sense, he did not check with the council or talk to council-elect members before naming Sheriff White to become Public Safety Dir.

Councilman Brad Winters told me he wishes the Mayor-elect would have talked to the council and those just elected before doing that. Winter said it would have been better to cut the Public Safety Dir position, save $100,000 a yr and name Sheriff White Police Chief.

Winter said the Public Safety Dir. Position was created in the first place by Mayor Chavez to give one of the Mayor's friends a job.

Everybody talk's fiscal responsibility.......but it seems the Government does not, Democrats do not, Republicans do not.

Common sense is on vacation in Government.

I don't know whether to cry or laugh?

No wonder the people are fed up and are having tea parties and are telling me I used to vote Republican but not anymore, or I used to vote Democrat, but not anymore.......

People need hope........Hope is not found in a Political Party........It is found in Jesus Christ.

There was a comment made from Someone at the Roundhouse yesterday .I think it was Ken Cravens who said, "Don't you get it..we're broke."

Yes, the State of New Mexico is broke.

Yes, the United States of America is broke.

We know the truth.......Our Country is bankrupt.......

We don't need more double talk by Politicians.

We need to remain faithful to Jesus Christ and put on the armor of God each day and carry out the great commission. Bring others to Jesus Christ. Our personal relationship with Jesus will carry us through everything. Our pay check is heaven.

A Cup of Honey from start to finish KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

First off want to thank Brenda for her wonderful note yesterday. Your kind words are like honey to the soul. Also has anyone heard from Missy Colburn? We miss hearing from her and understand she has moved to Texas. Please let us know if you have any information.

Praise Note..If you have been to my office on my door I have pictures of what we call, Dewey and Sharon's kids....Our niece, Hayden, and then we are the unofficial Aunt and Uncle of Haley, Chuck Bates daughter, also Kyle Martins children, and many more. We just love kids!

So you can imagine one of the things I am so excited about is very soon I will be able to do baptism's!!!

What happened to the tradition of Godparents?

I have Godparents......In fact, Uncle Joe is not only my Uncle but my Godparent. He is to watch over me as a parent in case anything would happen to my Mom and Dad, well he has been like a Dad to me since my Dad passed away almost 20 yrs ago now. Mom passed away 2 yrs after Dad.Is that still done? Godparents was something that was very special.

Anyhow our PRAISE note is that Rudy and Dorothy are Grandparents once again this time to Race James Sedillo a healthy boy! Their daughter Jennifer gave birth yesterday. God Bless you all!!!

We have this prayer need from Chris in Bakersfiled........

For Sheryl Giesbrecht (Geese-brecked) of KAXL 88.3 Radio here in
Bakersfield. Her husband Paul was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday
night. Paul was an AWESOME man of God who loved The LORD with all his heart,
soul, mind and strength and "kept it real." Our prayers to Sheryl and her adult children,
Sarah & Ben. Paul, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

The news of the birth of James and the passing of Paul is a reminder for us all..Today please read James 4: 13-17

Verse 13-15 says.......

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit."
whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."

Let us turn ourselves over to the Lord. Let the Lord's will be done in our lives. Let us also introduce others to Christ.

Let us also pray for Pastor Leonard Navarre and Diane as they travel........Let us also pray for the NM Legislature and Gov. Richardson as they continue to meet in special session.

Here is a sermon from "Reb" in the new book, "Have a little faith" It fit's today's posting ....

1958 sermon.........

"A little girl came home from school with a drawing she'd made in class. She danced into the kitchen, where her mother was preparing dinner.

"Mom, guess what?" she squealed, waving the drawing.

Her mother never looked up.

"What?" she said tending to the pots.

"Guess what?" the child repeated, waving the drawing.

"What?" the mother said tending to the plates.

"Mom, you're not listening."

"Sweetie, yes I am."

"Mom, the child said, "you're not listening with your eyes."

There is a message for all of us in today's birth and death, scripture from James and the story of the little girl. Let us all listen not only with our ears.......but with our Eye's! You can't get back those times with the kid's.....or grandkids........or friends.......

AMEN!

By the way there are two huge events in the Duke City this weekend..go to www.mykkim.com for all the details.....People of ALL FAITHS coming together for BOTH events.....For GOD'S GLORY ALONE!

Here is a response from Karen on yesterday's posting......by the way Karen is from Mayberry, NC!!! Tell Floyd hello .I need a trim soon!

Dear Dewey,

I write today in agreement with what you wrote! We are all called to be pastors, as we allow God to work through us for HIS good purposes. That is a WOW in my mind!
Yes, we are all called in different ways...some are called in the traditional way of thinking, but we are all called to allow God to work through us.

I was praying a prayer to God about 2 weeks ago as I asked God for HIS wisdom in my day, so that I could serve HIM in any way that HE called me to in that day. I need to be "Prayed up!"
I asked HIM to guide me always and to give me HIS words and then to shut my mouth when HE was done!

I smile as I write this because in my prayer, I humbly, but boldly 'reminded God' that I was not a preacher... in reference to something "good" that Robert had said to me about Hope In Today...
AND I smile too, as I also in the same breath "reminded God" that I was shy...LIKE GOD DIDN"T KNOW!

And yes, I believe that God has a very good sense of humor!

If you would meet me, you wouldn't probably see shyness in me anymore...I can't explain how much God has done in my life! HE has given me HIS confidence in me,...
But this was in reference to something specific that was bigger than I wanted to face.

I received a message that day ...mid - breath...mid sentence...

No I am not a pastor, but God IS! And God IS in me! And I CAN do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength and courage!

That is a high wow factor in my mind!
So, I do little stuff...I share what God shares with me, and I share as God works through me...sometimes I just share a friendly smile or a kind word that God has given me...All for God's glory and good purposes!
I share this today because sharing what God puts on our heart is something that we are all called to do. Isn't that COOL?!!!

And it is all about learning to listen to the Holy Spirit and trusting in God's capability! I used to do small insignificant acts of "trust and obey" ...and now God has me doing bigger, more significant acts of trust and obey. However, even still, as I write this, I also know that there will be times that God may ask me to trust HIM EVEN BIGGER, which is hard and impossible in my own strength, power and mind set, but NOT in God...all things are made possible with God, through Jesus who paved our way!

Prayer is required! FAITH is the key! ..."I do this little thing and then God does the big stuff"...God trains us up in trust, the more we trust...the more we KNOW...the more we know, the more we see...the more we see God's realness.

Thanks for your time and I hope this is a blessing to someone.

Be blessed in your journey! God CAN do amazing things when we just trust and obey and apply a mustard seed of FAITH!
We just have to take a leap in Faith and Trust God in HIS capabilities, with a mind set on a heart of God. The reward is GREAT...God gives us the blessing of Peace and Joy!

Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe

Dr. Deb is letting us know what is up on Saturday...........

Hi, Dewey,
Here is the information about this Saturday's show.

Ordinary women – this is you and me. Yet God has a plan for each one of us and will work in our lives in wonderful ways when we call out to Him. This week will be a personal story from an ordinary woman who has relied on God to help her live through extraordinary situations in her life. Debbie Forthman has agreed to be my guest to tell us her story and how she turned to God with a faith that at times could have been hard to hold on to. Yet she did and you will to hear how God is now using her and her daughter to serve Him by ministering to other women. We will both laugh and cry together. Plan to tune in for this show.

Quick Cup of Love KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

This is a bit from Mitch Albom's book, "Have a little faith", another winner from Albom! Sharon got it for me........Mitch is talking to the Rabbi who has asked him to do his eulogy, The Rabbi, or Reb, as Mitch lovingly calls him, is speaking to Mitch from his hospital bed.............

Suddenly, out in the hall, I heard an infant scream, followed by a quick "shhh!" presumably from its mother. The Reb heard it, too.

"Now that Child," he said, "reminds me of something our sages taught. When a baby comes into the world, its hands are clenched, right? Like this?

He made a fist.

"Why? because a baby, not knowing any better, wants to grab everything, to say, "The whole world is mine."

"but when an old person dies, how does he do so? With his hands open. Why? because he has learned the lesson."

What is the lesson? Mitch asked.

He stretched open his empty fingers.

"We can take nothing with us."

Let me share with you this morning a Prayer that is in one of my Pastor study books.......We are all really to become Pastors......Being a Pastor is to serve, not to be served.

Here is the prayer........

Father, walk with me in my pilgrimage as a pastor to mountain peaks that I may see Your purposes clearly, lush pastures that I may be nourished by Your truth, valleys of discouragement that I may be supported by Your strength. May Your gentleness make me great for You. In Jesus name, AMEN!

A couple of others I would like to share with you...by the way thank you for letting me share with you my walk with Jesus Christ, and my walk with Jesus to become a Pastor........

Father God, let my words be rooted in honesty and my thoughts be lost in your light, Unnameable God, my essence, my origin, my life-blood, my home.

No Pastor can depend on anyone else feeding his feelings of fulfillment. (AMEN) It is an inside job, but anyone can achieve it.

WOW! That is so true in radio and Radio Ministry and life right?

I thank all my Pastor friends who have brought me books and study material to become the best Pastor I can.

And thanks to you all for your encouragement and prayers.

I am being asked, where is your Church going to be?.......The Ministry I am called to Shepherd is KKIM/KARS/ and the Cup.

Just one more.........

Reputations are fragile. They must be handled with care like a valuable vase that if dropped can never quite be put together again. Bill Pollard

In the Love of Christ,

Dewey Sharon and family.....Please pray for Son Lars he has the flu today. ugh!

Let us pray.........

Lord, we pray that we all will follow You. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

1,567 Commit to Christ!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear KKIM Family,

I just got this from Pastor Leonard Navarre on our Friend Dr. Ajai who was holding a Youth Conference in India........Please keep this in your prayers. This is just remarkable in the Lord!

Dear Friends in America,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am writing this letter immediately after the youth conference is over and from the police custody.

Before I talk about the problem, let me share some of the victories. 1576 people have made their decisions, among which we don't know how many first time decisions and rededications. However, we do know that over 150 have made their decisions for full time Christian service. Our follow up team is still involved in going through the decision cards.

We are sad to inform you that one of our CIBA students from New Delhi was missing for the last two days. His friends were giving us different versions about the possibilities where he may be. Once we knew that he was missing, many of us made serious efforts to find him. However, his dead body was floating over the river yesterday morning. His name is Renjit Masih. He is from New Delhi area and his parents are from a remote Hindu village. The postmortem report says that his skull was broken. We later found out that he went to the restricted area of the river where we clearly announced not to go and was diving from the bridge. Since we did not inform the police that he was missing we are under serious investigation. It is a crime when any person is missing and the police is not being informed.

We have had a police team and the team from Intelligence Bureau investigating about the complaints from the extremists against the youth conference.

Please know that we are fighting against an extremely corrupt system. I am unable to write some minor details about the situation.

Even though the police were guarding our campus (almost in the number of 80) their purpose was to protect us from the extremists activities. They were not there to deal with our internal problems. We have some good and helpful people within the police system who are trying to help us. I believe that Frank and I will be released soon after the procedure is over.

It was good that now we are dealing with the present situation after the youth conference is over. All of our American guests are very happy to see the outcome of the youth conference. They are starting their return journey to America this evening. Please be in prayer for them. They are completely safe. There is nothing to worry for their safety and welfare.

In fact three of us are under police custody. Frank, Pawan Dubey (security incharge) and myself.

The head of the police Mr. Tiwari has told us that he has received many phone calls against us from Hindu extremists who are creating various stories that have no truth.

I am dictating this letter over the phone to Mr. RC, our secretary. There is a strong possibility that we will be released in few hours. Therefore no need to worry. Just continue to pray for the family of Renjit Masih, those who have made their decisions during the conference and that no matter what comes, people will continue to be influenced with the love and saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

With love and prayers,

Your coworker in India,

Ajai Lall

Sunday Sermon by Dewey

Dear KKIM Friends,

Just got this note....touched my heart and I know it touched God's.........

Dewey,

Sorry, I did not help to rescue an orphan, I was at the mountain hunting and gathering wood for the winter. If I can still help please let me know. Melecio

Melecio was out hunting and gathering wood for the winter.....and he wants to make sure he does not miss giving to the Orphans of Mozambique! WOW! What a man of God! You can now go to www.crossinternational.org and give. God Bless you Melecio!

I was told that a person said in the reporting of news concerning Gov. Richardson and other matters, I can attract more with honey! Well, you never tell a broadcaster what he can say and can't say.....that is the Fairness Doctrine that the Church is screaming about.......and rightly so........I pray about all that I say and write.....I pray for the words to come from God. KKIM and the Cup help keep people like Melecio informed about what is going on in our Country. We cannot afford to sugar coat the TRUTH! I would never be a good one to put up in a pulpit and tell me what I can say and cannot say because we have to protect our non-profit status....God does not care about that!

Because of the laziness of Christians we have a society full of evil and corruption. As State Rep. Nora Espinoza said on NM News and Views Friday night, "We have nobody but to blame but ourselves."

The Corruption in New Mexico Government and the Richardson Administration is just plain awful! Here is what New Mexico House Minority Whip Keith Gardner said about what he calls a culture of corruption in New Mexico........

"It's horrible that this culture even exists, and it'[s even worse that people are getting used to it."

You can't sugar coat that!

I am thankful for all the Church leaders who are now speaking out about the Corruption in this state and I pray that they will continue to do so.

Let me leave you with this...............

Oswald Chambers.........

"If you cannot express yourself on any subject, struggle until you can. If you do not, someone will be all the poorer all the days of his life. Struggle to re-express some truth of God to yourself, and God will use that expression to someone else.....Try to state to yourself what you feel implicitly to be God's truth and give God a chance to pass it on to someone else through you."

God has called me to be a Broadcaster turned Preacher and for that, I will always strive to tell the TRUTH in all matters!

If we as God's people cannot bring forth the Truth an uncover the darkness, what good are we?

Prayer for India/Legislature/health Care

Dear KKIM Family,

I watched Gregory Peck, as Gen. Douglas Macarthur last night brought back many memories like the Korean War.........President Harry Truman.

It was good ol' Harry who said, "If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog."

Read this carefully.......pray over it..........

Put yourself completely under the influence of Jesus, so that He may think His thoughts in your mind, do His work through your hands, for you will be all-powerful with Him to strengthen you. Mother Teresa

When you are to tired or lazy to spend time with God, those excuses become habits. They will steal your walk and intimacy with God. When you ignore God or keep Him waiting rather than making and keeping an appointment with Him, more often than not, you will:

Make impulsive decisions, waste valuable time, and cause clarity to be elusive.

When you allow tyranny of the urgent to steal away your appointment with God, you will spin around and around in circles!

We have a couple of prayer needs......

First off Pastor Leonard let me know this morning that his friend Ajai was preaching to the Youth Conference in India this morning our time, after being arrested and then released on bail. The Hindu's accuse him of killing cows and conversion and he is arrested and then the Courts let him go on bail. Sounds like this is not the first time this has happened to him, as is life has been threatened for preaching the Gospel. Leonard has had Ajai's son On NM News and Views before. There are roughly 2500 students attending this Christian rally.

When I think I can get on the radio and preach the Gospel and then look at what people like Ajai are doing...WOW!

Please keep Ajai and the Youth in your prayers.

Let us also pray for the NM State Legislature as the Special Session begins today.

It was the main subject of NM News and Views last night.........Here is Pastor Mark Tross........

THIS SPECIAL SESSION WILL BE STREAMED LIVE SATURDAY AFTERNOON ON THE NEW MEXICO INDEPENDENT WEBSITE AT http://newmexicoindependent.com FOUND ALSO ON THE KKIM WEBSITE AT http://mykkim.com .

NEWS MAKER OF THE DAY:

State Representative Nora Espanoza (from Roswell) joined us this afternoon to talk about the start of the NM Legislative Special Session (mentioned above), which will cost tax payers upwards of $80K a day and she told us it could go on for 5-10 days! Yes, she DOESN'T get paid to do this, so cut her some slack, since whatever cuts come to education, it appears the final decisions will come down from the School Boards and Administrators. "Everyone is going to have to work together," she stated and as far as Governor Richardson goes, "He's fixing to leave. A lot of the Governor's regulations are what put us in this position and what we need to do is remove them." What's not working? The deficit is $650M or closer to $700M! Espanoza says the 'exempt employees,' which the Governor has put in place, do NOT abide by State Regulations and MANY earn over $100,000.00 a year. "Until the people stand and clean house in Santa Fe, NOTHING will change," she said. Where can we cut? 70% of EMT & EMS people are VOLUNTEERS! "It's our fault, as citizens we have not held city and State officials accountable." Regarding tax increases? "I will NOT support ANY tax increases for the government to mismanage," Nora stated. Regarding Gay & Lesbian Activists? "We're there to deal with the budget." DWI? "I don't know what we're going to do. If the laws we have were implimented, we wouldn't have to do anything," she said. About Heather Wilson running for Governor in 2010? "I really believe she's going to run, but I hope she announces her run soon. I'm praying," said State Representative Nora Espanoza and we're praying too

The Health Care bill is moving fast.......Many think it will be passed by Thanksgiving! Heads up.this is moving so fast just like so many things in this Country if we are not careful things like Abortion will remain in this bill. Focus on the Family heard weekdays at 6am and 1pm on KKIM has been doing a great service covering this bill. Miki sent this in..........

Date: 10/15/2009
From: "Focus on the Family Action" <alert@focuspetitions.com>
Subject: Dr. Dobson and I discuss health care plan; last chance to sign
petition

Please forward this message to your friends, family and co-workers so
they can hear Dr. Dobson’s perspective on the threat to life in the
health care reform plan. --Tom

Miki,

<http://www.focuspetitions.com/r.asp?U=22213>

This week, I sat down with Dr. Dobson and recorded a special radio
broadcast discussing the looming threat to life in the current health
care reform plan. This issue is so important to Dr. Dobson and Focus on
the Family Action that he called for an interruption of our scheduled
radio programming to convey to our friends vital information about the
health care reform plan the Senate is expected to vote on very soon.
Please go here to listen to our special health care broadcast
<http://www.focuspetitions.com/r.asp?U=22214&CID=215&RID=22441588>

Comparing what President Obama said to the legislative
reality

As Dr. Dobson, Carrie Gordon Earll (one of our senior policy analysts)
and I examined this issue, it became very clear that what President
Obama has said publicly bears little resemblance to the legislative
reality of health care reform. Despite the president’s claims, every
version of government health care reform has included publicly funded
abortion coverage. Despite what has been said, the government health
care proposals are fraught with tax and premium increases. And despite
the rhetoric, massive cuts to Medicare are also in the latest versions,
while conscience protections for health care workers continue to be
excluded.

As I write, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s final Senate version of
the plan is still being drafted behind closed doors. The public -- and
even your elected representatives -- do not know what precisely will be
in the final Senate version. Nonetheless, Sen. Reid is promising a
Senate floor vote before the end of the month.

Petitions delivery Wednesday

With the possibility of a Senate vote as early as next week, the Focus
Action team will deliver the health care petitions this Wednesday to key
representatives and senators who we believe most urgently need to hear
from pro-family citizens. The good news is, thanks to you and other
friends, we just crossed 100,000 signers (our initial goal). With your
help over these next several days leading to the delivery, I believe we
can reach an additional 25,000 or even 50,000 pro-family citizens who
oppose the threats to preborn life, conscience protections for medical
professionals and the right of families to make medical decisions.

Please forward this update to your friends and invite them to join with
you and pro-family citizens across the nation by signing our petition in
time for this and other potential deliveries. Your friends can click
here to sign

Finally, my staff has also just completed our newest Focus Action Update
online video, which gives you the latest news on the push for health
care reform from a pro-family perspective. Please watch
this
update so you can be fully informed on this important issue.

It is imperative that we send a message to our elected officials that
pro-life Americans will not support any version of health care reform
that threatens the preborn, violates health care workers’ rights of
conscience or sets the stage to give government officials unprecedented
influence over medical decisions that have always been the
responsibility of families.

Thank you for the privilege of representing your voice on this highly
important issue.

For faith and family,

Tom Minnery
Senior Vice President, Government & Public Policy

P.S. Once again, please forward this message to your friends and
encourage them to join you in signing this petition. Your friends can go
here to sign

Thank you and God bless you!

How Did You Become a Preacher?
Ron Walters

"How did you become a preacher?" It's a question we've heard thousands of times. The answers differ with year and location but each bottom line is always the same: "God has chosen the foolish things of this world to confuse the wise, the weak things of this world to confound the strong..."

Looking for great preachers, it would appear, was never on God's shopping list.

It's ironic that the preacher to whom God gave those words-the Apostle Paul-was one of the more prolific preachers of his day. Certainly, if anyone deserved his name in lights it was the rising star from Tarsus.

But, humility, not headlines, is the staple for the man of God. The scripture warns us to "Put it on," to "Serve with it," to "Walk in it," to "Be clothed with it," and promises, "Honor comes only after it."

I'm convinced that Paul must have shaken his head in amazement at the concept. That's because his pre-Christian days were probably filled with anything but humility. In the fraternity of up-and-coming rabbis he was the blue-chipper; a Pharisee by birth and belief. Studying under the surname of Saul, he glowed as the prized protégé of Professor Gamaliel. Even the church stood in awe, knees knocking at the mention of his notorious name. Paul could have written his own ticket for any job in Judaism.

But when he met Christ on the Damascus Road the rules for success changed. No more could he count on sheer talent and tenacity to get him to the top. A new standard had entered the picture. Paul would need more and more of less and less. God had trumped him.

Three years of training in Arabia-and seven more elsewhere-retooled his thinking. "I am the chief of sinners...the least of all the saints...the least of the apostles...I am nothing." Paul discovered his greatness was not in what he did but to whom he belonged.

It's always been that way for God's leaders. Humility is a required course in our schooling. And every graduate has his own personal memoirs. For example:

* For 13 years Joseph fell in a downward spiral. Being hated by his brothers, left to die in a pit, paraded on the auction block in Egypt, defending his honor against the vile Mrs. Potiphar, and incarcerated for a crime he did not commit, seasoned the soon-to-be Prime Minister as nothing else could.

* For 40 years Moses was on the fast track to stardom. As the adopted son of Pharaoh's daughter he had the world on a string. Four decades of uptown living can do that to a guy. But God required 40 more years of "sweat shop" experience in order to make Moses worthy of his assignment.

* David's meteoric rise in Israel was unprecedented. Giants fell before him. Songs were written about him. He was Israel's MVP...and it sent shock-waves through Saul's palace. For the next 11 years, David was on the run. The darkest caves were his hotel rooms, a group of misfits were his allies, tear-stained psalms were his outlet. And the soft-hearted shepherd became king.

You may be taking a forced march through The Valley right now. But, don't panic, He never takes his children to greatness without this detour. It's when we resurface from that valley that God's matured preachers are better equipped to shake a world He loves.

FULL CUP JUST FOR U KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

I PRAISE GOD for the freedom to speak Freely of my faith in Jesus Christ!

THERE IS ULTIMATE FREEDOM IN GOD

NOT GOVERNMENT OR MAN!!!!

THE TIME HAS COME TO SPEAK THE DEEPEST NEEDS OF HUMAN BEINGS AND SECULAR SOCIETY WITH SOUL SERIOUSNESS AND SUPERNATURAL BIBLICAL AUTHORITY.

"My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus". Acts 20:24

What work has the Lord assigned you?

Pray on it and develop a close relationship with Jesus Christ and you will know. Surround yourself with Godly people........and you will know!

I have a wonderful Pastor, Jim Montoya. I have been blessed by many wonderful Pastor's in my life! I have over 20 in my life right now! It is an AWESOME blessing that I can pick up the phone and talk and pray with them. I also have many other Godly people to guide me through life.

One thing I have noticed is that, something my Dad taught me years ago, Godly relationships are those that you can be so honest in that relationship and not afraid to express your thoughts. I did that yesterday with Pastor Jim on the Freedom to preach the Word. There is so much freedom in Godly relationships! Do you have that freedom?

Do you have relationship's that you can be what I am going to call "Honest to God relationship's?"

Can you be "Honest to God" with your Pastor? Do you feel your Pastor is "Honest to God?"

If you can't be "Honest to God" with your Pastor you can't be "Honest to God" with God!

October is Pastor Appreciation Month.

I know that many of you out there do not have a Pastor or a Church, I hear from you.
I encourage you to pray for the Lord to guide to a Pastor. I pray that you will find a Pastor. The Church Building, Denomination is not as important in my mind is as to who the Pastor is.

Pastor Mark Scales of Heights Christian Church brought me a gift the other day, a book! He knows I love to read! Mark knows that I am preaching regularly and wanted me to have the book, "The Heart of a Great Pastor" by H.B. London Jr. and Neil B. Wiseman.

Here are some Nuggets from the book.........

A Great Pastor is not measured by the size of his congregation----but by the willingness of his heart.

AWESOME, Love that! Read that again Pastor Jim!!!!!

The World needs spokespersons to take the Good News of Christ to every social and economic class. All people need the Gospel, and we must take it to them in words they understand without any feelings of personal intimidation on our part!

"I chose you and appointed you to go and bear Fruit------Fruit that will last." John 15:16

And I repeat the words at the top of this posting.............

The time has come to speak to the deepest needs of human beings and secular society with soul seriousness and supernatural Biblical authority.

"Vision becomes a bold reason for living. It is a badge of purpose that the bearer wears proudly and courageously."

Father God, Let my words be rooted in honesty and my thoughts be lost in your light, Unnameable God, my essence, my origin, my life blood, my home. I pray Father that Your Pastors never forget that. In Jesus name, AMEN!

Let us pray over this...........

Dear Friends in America,

Love and greetings to you from Central India Christian Mission.

I am writing this letter to you from the youth conference. Today is the second day of the conference. We certainly have over 2500 people here in Rajghat near the river. We also have several brothers and sisters from America representing Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Savannah Christian Church, New Hope Christian Church, Cy-Fair Christian Church and Crossing Church and certainly Bro. LV and sister Susan. We also have Bro. Misha and his wife from Russia with us.

This is our 15th conference. However, I must say that we have never felt so much pressure and tension and the atmosphere against the youth conference such as we felt this year. Several Hindu extremists groups have come together holding rallies and public meetings openly against this event. Some of their leaders have traveled from different districts and states as well. There are mainly three false allegations against us. First of all, we are involved in forceful conversion, secondly we are killing cows and finally we are involved in burning their scriptures. Even though these are not true, however they do catch the attention and sentiments of the followers of the Hindu religion. We have received tremendous support from the government which is amazing as we are guarded by over 60 policemen with weapons. We have to take precautions as our guests travel from the conference center to Damoh. This story would not be complete if we don't say that we have very very strongly felt the power and the presence of God in the past days. God is doing a powerful work in the hearts of these young people here at the conference. All the main sessions and classes are going well. Receiving threats over the phone and letters have been very common. We have two more days to go before the conference ends. In last day and a half we have witnessed over 300 decisions. We just wanted to keep you informed and wanted you to please pray for this event as we lift up the name of Jesus and challenge the young people from the Word of God.

We remain grateful to each one of you for your love, concern, prayers and continuous financial support to the ministry of CICM. We will keep you informed.

With grateful hearts,

Your coworkers in India,

Ajai & Indu Lall

Dear Friends,
You have probably heard about the rash of bombings that have occurred in Pakistan and the mounting concerns expressed in the press about the growing strength of the Taliban movement in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. During the recent UN Prayer Initiative, participants agreed to especially pray for Pakistan and Afghanistan during the coming year. In my opinion, they are the two most strategic nations for us to concentrate prayer on because, if they fall to the radical Al Qaeda and Taliban forces, they will become a serious threat to the rest of our world. Please find two great sources of ongoing prayer material that you can access. If you write to them, they will see you get regular prayer updates.~NOTE that they request that you do not forward or publish the information you receive from these sources since it could be a security risk to those working in both countries.

1) Write to:~news-update@elrog.de These mails have the heading "Afg/ Pak Teams Prayer Bulletin" and come around once a month. These mails come directly ministry~teams in Afghanistan and in Pakistan. For security reasons we ask those who are on this list not to forward them to anyone per email or to post them or to put them on a website or to publish them in any way.

2) Praflink ( PRay for AFghanistan LINK ) Prayer mails are also a good source of prayer info for Afghanistan, it comes weekly. This is a large network, it reaches 11 countries and is translated into 7 languages. If you are interested also in Praflink mails please contact: praflinkgp@gmail.com

Please write for more specific information. For now, pray that the Taliban and Al Qaeda forces will be thrown into confusion, disunity and defeat. There have been signs of this happening when we have prayed along this line before. Pray that many of them will come to know Christ through visitations and dreams, as is happening elsewhere in the Muslim world. Pray for the foiling of every terrorist attack there and in other parts of the world by the local authorities and for protection over the citizens of both of these nations, especially Christians who are a vulnerable minority.

Thanks for your prayers for the Royal Kids’ ministry outreach. Here is their encouraging report: “It took 16 hours to reach Kanyakumari, where open air~crusade was arranged~on October 2nd, 3rd, 4th in which around 45 royal kids did the worship and healing, it was pouring down heavily.~ When we reached there, the children prayed with faith that the rain must stop. It was a miracle to see that it did not rain on all the three days. In the morning the children did worship and~prayed for people~inside the church and~in the evenings~at the open~ground. People were saved, anointed and filled with God’s love during the meetings. Even though the public meeting was held, next to the campus of fundamentalism, nobody came against us. It was quite peaceful. People from different villages came by vans and cars. We have many witnesses for God's power.” <info@royalkids.org>

Maria Harbajan, who coordinates prayer for the Caribbean region, asks our intercession for the planning of a Caribbean Prayer Summit to take place in Haiti for 2010 or 2011 for the right contacts and resource persons to help put on this event (committee, right venue, cooperation of pastors there, intercessors from the region in attendance, finances, etc.); provision to make the necessary visit(s) to Hait to put the committee in place and to begin the process there; and for Christians / intercessors within the region (outside of the region not excluded) who have a burden for Haiti and for a spiritual breakthrough there leading to national transformation to prayerfully plan to join us for the event. Ian and Pauline Cole who direct the World Prayer Centre www.worldprayer.org.uk~~ in the UK ask prayer for a spiritually pivotal event on Saturday the 17th: “We will have the privilege of standing together in the new~LG~Arena at The NEC~in the heart of the nation at this critical moment, to~humbly ask~for a visitation of the~presence of God~that would flow through His church into every area of our national life.~~ This is not a~"bless up"~for the church, it is a cry that in the midst of moral, spiritual and possible financial bankruptcy, there will be a flowing through His body of His saving, healing, transforming~presence. We are praying that this will be an incredible day in the~presence of God…We shall~invite the Lord~to come afresh into our hearts, our churches, our communities, our nations.” Most of us cannot be there physically, but let’s join them in asking the Lord to visit them, their churches and society with an strong and widespread outpouring of His Spirit that will have significant impact in bringing revival and transformation to the UK. This has happened in the history of this great nation before- may it happen again now!

Keep on looking up and calling out!

KKIM NEWS/Phyllis Schlafly

KKIM NEWS: This was sent to us by Pat Outlaw it is Commentary by Phyllis Schlafly. Please pray about Phyllis joining the KKIM line-up.........

If Obama Had Told Us Before His Election
Phyllis Schlafly
Tuesday, October 13, 2009

If Barack Obama had campaigned on what he has actually done in his first 300 days in office, would he have been elected? That's the question so many are asking today.

If Obama had told us he would appoint 34 czars, reporting only to himself and not vetted or confirmed in the constitutional way, building a powerful unitary executive branch of government, would he have been elected? What if he had told us that his green jobs czar had been a Communist, that the science czar wrote in a college textbook that compulsory "green abortions" are an acceptable way to control population growth and that the diversity czar has spoken publicly of getting white media executives to "step down" in favor of minorities?

If Obama had told us he would take over the automobile industry faster than any socialist dictator ever nationalized an industry, fire the CEO of General Motors and replace him with a Democratic Party campaign contributor, would Obama have been elected? If Obama had campaigned on closing down thousands of profitable car dealers, nearly all Republicans, would we have believed that this vindictive financial retaliation against those who didn't vote for Obama could happen in America?

If Hugo Chavez, the communist who nationalized most of Venezuela's industries, had said before the election that "Comrade Obama" would nationalize the U.S. automobile industry and Chavez would "end up to his right," would anybody have believed it? If talk shows had warned against such a socialist takeover, would the Obama-loving media have accused them of McCarthyism?

If Obama had told us he would spend $3 billion in a Cash for Clunkers program that would use taxpayers' funds to buy mostly foreign cars and grind up the used American cars traded in to make them unusable, would he have been elected?

If Obama had told us that his stimulus package is a sham because it does not create private-sector jobs (as a tax cut would do), so that the unemployment rate has risen to nearly 10 percent, with 15 million Americans unemployed plus another 11 million underemployed, could he have been elected?

If Obama had told us his Supreme Court pick would be a woman who said repeatedly that a "Latina woman" would make better decisions than "a white male," that his pick for chief State Department lawyer would be a transnationalist who wants to integrate foreign law into law binding on U.S. citizens and that his pick for regulations czar argues that animals are entitled to have lawyers to sue humans in court, would Obama have been elected?

If we had known that Obama would be totally incompetent as commander-in-chief of his chosen war in Afghanistan, and would not speak to the general in the field for 70 days, ignoring his dire report for six weeks, would Obama have been elected?

If Obama had told us he would have the government guarantee 90 percent of all U.S. mortgages, imposing $5 trillion in off-budget debt on U.S. taxpayers who had faithfully made their own mortgage payments, would he have been elected? And what if Obama had told us he would have the taxpayers take over 80 percent of all student loans at a cost of $1 trillion over the next decade?

If Obama had told us that he would make the U.S. government a major shareholder in Citigroup (one of the world's largest banks), would you have believed he could get away with this socialist takeover?

If Obama had admitted that his health care plan would include the same provisions for which he ran negative TV ads against Hillary Clinton (a federal mandate requiring every American to buy health insurance) and against John McCain (a tax on high-cost employer-based plans), would Obama have been elected?

And what if Obama had told us that his federal health plan would pay for all abortions without regard to the Hyde Amendment and provide full health care (including private doctor visits) to immigrants without requiring proof of legal residence?

If Obama had campaigned on increasing federal spending and debt from a multibillion-dollar level to multitrillions, would he have been elected? And what if Obama had told us that his promise to "spread the wealth around" would balloon his first year's budget deficit to $1.6 trillion?

If Obama had told us that his promise to "spread the wealth around" meant wiping out the Republican welfare reform of 1996 and increasing annual welfare spending by 39 percent to almost $1 trillion a year by the end of his first term, would he have been elected?

If Obama had declared during his campaign that his first major speech abroad would be to the Muslim world and that he would proclaim in Muslim Turkey that "one of the great strengths of the United States is ... we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation," would he have been elected?

PS To you........KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Just found a letter from Pastor Leonard that he wrote on my behalf on my efforts to become a Pastor........and it had my favorite verse in it.

Would you pray on this verse?.........would you focus on this verse?.......Would you stick to this verse like a postage stamp?

What a difference the World would be if we all stuck to this........my favorite verse in the Good Book........

"My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus". Acts 20:24

For God's Glory Alone!

A 5am Cup With Dewey!!! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker------an earthenware vessel among vessels of the earth! Will the clay say to the potter, "What are you doing?"

The KKIM family are the tea bags of life. You perform when the water is hot

The KKIM family pulled through a HUGE VICTORY for God's Children in Mozambique yesterday with over 300 Orphans being rescued!!! People are still calling to see if they can still give! Let's really blow past that goal of 315. We have past last year by over 100!!! The phone number and web will be active through Friday. Yesterday we had gifts from North Carolina and Texas!!! There is still time to give...Please pray. You are helping save a life! What can be more important than that?..and it's only a one time gift of $68.00!!!! We Praise God for all of you who have given and prayed for this effort!!! Thanks to all of you who came in and helped with the radio-a-thon!!! Go to www.mykkim.com for details!

KKIM listeners stuck to this effort like a postage stamp!

What is more important today for you to do? Rescue a child for $68.00 and put them in a Christian home..one time gift........

The KKIM FM Listeners in Northern New Mexico really helped carry this effort!!! PRAISE GOD FOR KKIM FM!!!

I am so blessed to see the many works of God through out New Mexico!!!

His people are awakening!!!

Here is a note from Karen Rowe as she was praying about giving..........

Dear Dewey,

Maybe others are struggling with the same thing as I did this morning about donating...Should I ignore or donate $68 for these orphans.
Whether considering donating "here or there" or for "this or that", I hope that this serves to encourage trust in God's ablility to supply all our needs, so that we can do good things with all that God gives.

Maybe someone is thinking, I have given so much already and now I need to slow down just for a bit...maybe this is not my call???

At this time, and for the next 2 1/2 months we're watching our money...due to a God divine promotion coming our way...But to take this step of faith, we also must tighten our belts for a time.
This is only temporary, as we will be going without a pay check for 2 1/2 months, but God ALWAYS provides and we can see our way clear...we just need to be wise in our spending.

God has NEVER let us down when we choose to serve HIM 1st in our finances!

In the face of considering any gift in Christ's name...
Our situation is only temporary no matter what the circumstance! In God's time, HE will promote us when we commit our trust to HIM.

For me, my heart didn't feel an immediate tug as I received this email...so my mind quietly pondered over what to do...
save $68, cuz we're going to need it... or trust God for the $68...ONLY I didn't see the trust God for the $68 right away!

My mind was focused on saving, not spending! But I thought of those children and then I thought of my life!

So please allow me to walk someone through my thoughts this morning:

God calls us to help.

Just between my heart and God, I asked myself the following questions as I wrote these out and sent to my husband...I was asking my husband, but God spoke to my heart instead!

Mind anyone who is reading this, I am not referring to tithing...I am considering this as a offering to the LORD as I wrote this out to my husband:

Is it our turn to give, or are we to hold on tight today, which means not giving. (Remember, we just committed to trusting God to get us through on a limited budget UNTIL we get to the other side!)
What is right in God's eyes today for us?
And then the scripture comes to mind, if someone asks...
And give them your other one too...
Help the widows and the orphans...

Trust in God...
I just answered my own question...
Is there ever a time to just hold on and wait when it comes to helping another?

And so each person has to make up his own mind as to what he will give...and we are to give cheerfully and not with a grudging heart!

One more thing...What would you do if you were not afraid?
We are to live a life in faith, not fear and trust in God's capablities that HE will supply what we need to do good things...

LIVE, LOVE and STAY ENCOURAGED! Trust God in all good things that HE calls you to do...don't be afraid to trust HIM to give money to someone in need when God tugs at your heart.

I send this today more to encourage the JOY in Jesus, but also to build faith, trust, hope and LOVE...OUR gifts from God worthy of being shared!
God bless us one and all! A blessing is a gift received with Praise and Thanksgiving.

Love In Christ,
Karen Rowe

We have a pray need from Pastor Leonard..........

I got a Tweet from him last night after I had gone to bed......Two mornings up at 3:30 working till 7p will do that........

anyhow.........Pastor Leonard says.......

The India Mission that he belongs to is holding a Youth Conference in India with over 2,000 Youth expected to attend and Extremists are threatening to disrupt the conference. Please keep this in your prayers.

Also many of you have been following the Property Tax issue in the County.....Here is an email I got last night from Mark Boitano........

GREAT NEWS! A second district court judge, Judge Nan Nash, just ruled that our property tax law is unconstitutional - see attached from Stephanie Dzur for details ...

Hi Mark:

I'm attaching a copy of the judicial decision in Ying Wang's case. I am really excited for Ying Wang in winning his case on appeal in District Court! He is to be congratulated in his victory considering he represented himself in his protest and on appeal. Not an easy feat for someone without a legal background.

The opinion by Judge Nan Nash follows the same reasoning as the earlier decision in my case, Dzur v. Montoya. The New Mexico Constitution requires the legislature to limit the annual increases in the valuation of residential property. The Constitution specifically allows the legislature to treat people differently in applying the limitation as long as the different treatment is based upon owner-occupancy, age or income.

In Ying's case the Court held that the New Mexico Constitution is violated by assessing a class of taxpayers differently (denying them the valuation limitation) because of when they bought their property. The Constitution requires taxpayers to be treated equally with only three permissible exceptions: owner-occupancy, age or income.

Clinton Marrs and I are representing taxpayers who have been hit by the so-called Tax Lightning statute in 2009 and earlier years. The property tax bills go out November 1st, and we have just a very short time after that to file complaints on behalf of taxpayers. I am available to answer questions! So please do not hesitate to call.

Here is an update and prayer need.........

Good Morning Dewey,

My sister-in-law's brain surgery went well ~ Praise God! She did even better than expected ~ thanks to everyone's heartfelt prayers ~ thank you so much!

As I know you don't mind, I have yet another request; my beautiful sister Mary, one of the most loving Christian women you could ever hope to meet, is suffering with immense pain in her hip. It's been determined that she needs a total hip replacement (at just 51 yrs of age) and is slated for surgery in December, but in the interim she is suffering greatly. The last few night I've spoken with her she's been in tears. Throughout all of this, she's working full time as an OR Nurse and I know you of all people can appreciate the physical toll this can take on ones body. Please pray that her pain is alleviated and that her surgery goes well ~ pray that the doctors hands are guided by the Great Physician Himself and that my beautiful sister will be restored to complete health.

In thanks and praise,

Taunya

Here is an update from Dr. Deb on what to expect this Saturday........

Hi, Dewey,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A panel of guests will be with me this Saturday to talk about many aspects of breast cancer – surviving, research, recovery, and services. Dr. T.J. Koerner, an American Cancer Society Researcher who is here in Albuquerque this weekend, will talk about the immune response to cancer and what the future may hold regarding detection and treatment. Also joining us is Rosie Walters, a breast cancer survivor who will share her story. You will not want to miss this show.

Please continue to pray for the family.........Please continue to pray for our troops all over the World.

Please pray for our Son Lars good friend, Vincent Mayville he leaves Albuquerque tomorrow to serve in the U.S. Marines.

Sharon and I had an AWESOME time in the Lord preaching at Ekklesia Outreach in Rio Rancho. We were so warmly received. What a wonderful group of Folks. Pastor Shaun and his lovely wife Merigen Naranjo and Pastor Mark Tross and his wonderful wife Juliet were wonderful hosts.

I more and more realize each day of my life I am good for nothing except to Preach for the Lord and serve Him. I ask myself what else matters?

The KKIM and CUP Ministry has grown so much I can hardly keep up with the needs. Only through the strength of the Lord can I do so.

Daughter Gretchen brought over Sharon and I some Organic Shade Grown Mexico coffee beans from Starbucks, where she works..........and It may be the best coffee we have ever had! I am drinking a cup while writing to you!

Please be in prayer for our Radio-A-Thon with Cross International and Tom Lewis. We will be rescuing Orphans in Mozambique starting tomorrow, but you can give right now...just read below. Oh, one more thing Tom was on New Mexico News and Views Friday with us........just over 95% of what you give hit's the ground right in Mozambique. Cross International is a highly rated outfit for the Lord! Please pray about your participation in this HUGE event for God's Children........please pray about giving financially. Just over 95% of what you give goes directly to aide the Children.

Radio-A-Thon for African Orphans

Have you thought lately about what $68 dollars can buy? Can you imagine being able to raise a child for one year with $68 dollars? Sound too good to be true? Cross International is giving you an opportunity to rescue a child off of the streets of Mozambique, and place them into a Christian home, for just a one time gift of $68. Your gift will provide all the food, clothing, medical care, & school supplies that these kids need for an entire year. Your $68 one time gift, not an ongoing monthly commitment, will accomplish so much! There are more than 1,000 kids waiting right now…the families are ready to take them in…we just need you! Call the rescue line right now, at 1-888-515-2005, to rescue an orphan. Please join us on Tuesday, October 13th, and again on Wednesday, October 14th, to find out more, or call right now to rescue a child.

Here is an update on the murder of Rio Rancho resident Bryanna Antone from KKIM's Frank Haley..........

(Honolulu, HA) -- A 31-year-old man released from a Hawaiian jail the day before a tourist from Rio Rancho was found slain in Waikiki is charged with her murder. Police say Aaron Susa is due in court today and is being held on 500-thousand-dollars bail. He is accused of killing Bryanna Antone, who was celebrating her 25th birthday by accompanying her mother to a dental convention in Honolulu. About 400 people attended a memorial Mass for Antone Friday in Rio Rancho.

You may recall this letter from Vickie and Lou about Bryanna and her family. Vickie was our first Ministry Sponsor here at KKIM when I took the position as Shepherd. She own A-! Travel..........

Dear Friend,

I sent a family of 3 to Hawaii and now only 2 are returning home alive.

As you may have hear on TV/Radio or read in the newspaper, Bryanna Antone
was murder by strangulation on the beach of Waikiki. She was a patient of
my husband Dr. Louis Cannavale. Her mother Barbara, was trained to be a
Dental Auxillary. She has worked and known us for many years. Our sons
went to school together.

Please keep Barbara Antone and family in all of your prayers as they are
going to need a lot of strength to go through the months ahead with the
trial and dealing with the press.

Thanks Very Good Friend,

Vickie and Lou Cannavale

Dewey,

How very sad. There are some very troubled people in the world that would do something so horrendous. It is as if they welcome evil into their soul without thought.
I am praying for this family.
Your friend in Christ

Love, Pat

Let us join Pat and continue to pray for the family.
Hearts need to be changed folks!
I preached on that yesterday........We can pass all the laws in the world........we can pass all the ethics reform in the world........but until we fulfill the Great Commission many hearts will remain stone like! Great Comm Matt 28: 16-20

Love hearing from new folks!
Dewey,

I was very happy to get a chance to meet you in person. KKIM and the programming you provide are a blessing to me. I am looking forward to getting together with you. I, like yourself, am very busy at work. But I will make time to meet with you. I work nearby, so perhaps I can grab some coffee and meet you at the studio sometime soon.

Let me know when you may have some time and I will work it into my schedule as I can.

Just a bit more on what I preached on yesterday...........

My 93 year Old Uncle Joe who was born when Woodrow Wilson was President of these Unites States and has lived through WWI, The Great depression, WWII, says that Common Sense is on maybe a permanent vacation in the United States of America. Another reason why we need to fulfill the Great Commission (Matt 28: 16-20) and to fulfill it we need to put on the Armor of God (Eph 6: 10-20)

People will not change, until they give their heart and soul to God.

Let us pray..........

Lord, we pray for all those serving in our Armed Forces..we pray for their protection Lord, we pray for Godly wisdom for our leaders Lord, We pray for those leaders that do not know you......but we pray they will! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Saturday Cup of Prayer KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

I more and more realize that I am good for nothing saving as I can preach Him. Let us keep true to Him.

Let us pour out Jesus to others!

Let us give others a piece of Heaven!

I never see my way. I know God who guides so I fear nothing. I have never far-seeing plans, only confident trust.

A man who has not faith proves that he cannot stoop. he has not faith for this reason: he is too proud to believe. he declares he will not yield his intellect; he will not become a child and believe meekly what God tells him to believe. Charles Spurgeon

We have this from Vickie and Lou.........

The latest.............

The "person of interest" in the death of New Mexico student Bryanna Antone got out of jail the day before her nude body was found on the beach.
The Honolulu Advertiser reports Aaron Susa, 31, was released from a federal lockup in Hawaii after serving four months on a parole violation.

Witnesses say Antone was last seen leaving her hotel with Susa on Thursday night. Her body was found on Waikiki Beach the next morning.

Please my dear friends, keep this in your prayers.

Here is more on our Hero, SGT. Titus........

Dewey,

Wanted to get ok from our precious friends to post info on Sergeant Titus R. Reynolds, U.S. Army.

Sergeant Titus R. Reynolds, 23 years of age, and 4 brave warriors, were killed in Afghanistan on 24 September 2009 when their Stryker (eight-wheeled all-wheel-drive armored combat vehicle) hit an IED (Improvised Explosive Device).

Please thank G-d for His deep Shalom, His peace, for Titus’ wife, Nikki, his parents, Rod and Elizabeth Reynolds and his extended family. May they feel His strong Presence, love, and comfort, today and in days to come. Titus and Nikki would be married 1 year on Monday 12 October. Titus is a Believer and most surely with Jesus!

Thank G-d for our brave warriors, men and women, who serve to secure our homeland and freedoms. Also, for their families who also serve. Pray for their protection and for their families. Be sure to shake their hand and thank them when you see them.

An Army carry team carries the transfer case containing the remains of Army Sgt. Titus R. Reynolds of Columbus, Ohio, during a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, Del. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009. The Department of Defense said he died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Omar Zai, Afghanistan. AP

Thanks so much, Dewey and KKIM!

From Cherie.......

Dewey, the opening line this morning by Charles Spurgeon touched my
heart. My mother, Emily Jeanne (uses Jeanne) who has advanced
dementia/Alzheimers fell and broke both bones in her lower right leg
Sunday night. She is 96 and had surgery which was successful as far as
the surgery goes. However, she has been placed in hospice care (which
is a blessing). I am so grateful for a hospice situation for her to
help her through this transistion comfortably and help release her from
the agitation, fright and terror that she has been experiencing lately
because of the dementia/Alzheimers. She has always loved Jesus and
until recently would always hum or whistle for hours. I thought it
amazing how when she could remember little else, her soul sung out.
She loves hymns. Seemed like she was hearing a choir from above the
other morning as she lay in the hospital. It is so comforting to be
reminded that "The Lord Jesus Christ knows every key in our souls, and
He can wake up our whole being to harmonies of music that will set the
world ringing with His praises" (Charles Spurgeon, from the Daily cup
10/8) I know that she will be singing in Jesus' choir! Please pray
for her comfort.-- Thank you faithful prayer warriors for all you have
done for my family! Love, Cherie

Victor has words of wisdom for us..........

Dewey,

I was reading on your Daily Cup about the revival being planned and prayed for and wanted to recommend to you a book shared with me recently about revivals. It is called "Revival Fire", by Wesley Duewel. I am not sure if it's available for sale locally but you can get it from Amazon.com by clicking on the following link:

http://www.amazon.com/Revival-Fire-Wesley-L-Duewel/dp/0310496616

As I read the revival accounts in the book I thought they seemed almost fictional...maybe unbelievable is a better word for it...in contrast to what we are seeing today in our country, churches and individual lives. I wondered if we could ever see things like that happen today. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" [Hebrews 13:8] and knew it was still possible.

Here's a short account of the book from the back cover:

"Beginning with Elijah and God's tremendous one-day revival of Israel, Wesley Duewel tells stories of revivals spanning the globe from America to China to Africa, all brought by obedience and heartfelt prayer. He illustrates how God has used revival fire through the centuries to revive the church and reveal the glorious presence of the Holy Spirit".

I look forward to the coming revival in our area and also to being a part of it. God bless you!

Great news from the Evans family........
Hi Dewey,

We have some exciting news that we wanted to share with you. We recently were notified that our son, Matthew, has qualified for the finals of the National Bible Bee in Washington, D.C. in early November. I've attached the press release that gives more details about it. He is the only contestant from New Mexico to qualify for the national contest.

As you know, Matthew loves to compete, and after aging out of the National Spelling Bee, he was thrilled to find this competition and be able to enter it in the inaugural year. With this competition, contestants are asked to answer Bible knowledge questions and recite Bible passages from memory. Matthew downloaded the study materials in early May and spent the entire summer (six to seven hours a day) preparing for the regional contest on September 12. Matthew placed first at regional's for his age group (senior division), but he anxiously waited to hear if his score (401 out of a possible 475) was high enough to qualify for the national contest. Matthew was so excited when he learned that he had one of the top 100 scores in the nation and would now have the opportunity to compete in Washington, D.C. November 4-6.

The Lord has certainly guided Matthew as he prepares for this contest. The study book is rather intimidating with 200 Bible knowledge questions and 350 Bible memory passages containing over 2,000 verses! Randy & I have told Matthew all along that no matter what happens at the regional or national contests, he is already a winner because he has spent the time hiding God's Word in his heart and that will benefit him his entire life. I can see how the Lord has been preparing Matthew for this competition before we had even heard about it. He learned so much about perseverance and working hard as he studied the dictionary and prepared for the National Spelling Bee for those five years. Even though he never won the National Spelling Bee, the study habits he learned have helped him tremendously in preparing for what he considers to be an even tougher competition.

We would certainly appreciate your and your listeners' prayers, Dewey, as Matthew continues to study during the next four weeks for the competition in Washington next month. Also, as you can see in the press release, each of the finalists have to raise their own funds to pay for the trip to D.C. The Bible Bee headquarters has told us that the expenses will be approximately $3,500. We would be so grateful for any individual or business who might desire to help us in any way with these expenses. Anyone interested can contact us at 505-897-9152. Thanks so much!

If you would like more information about the Bible Bee, please feel free to call us. You can also visit www.biblebee.org/nationals2009.

Blessings,

Randy & Helen Evans

URGENT PRAYER DEATH OF A HERO

Dear KKIM Family............

Let us be in prayer for this American hero...Titus, SGT, U.S. Army........A True Hero!

Shalom Dewey,
Headed for the funeral of precious friends’ nephew, Titus, Sergeant, U.S. Army, Killed in Action in Afghanistan on 24 September. Titus would have been married 1 yr. on 12 October. His Stryker hit an IED. 4 brave warriors perished with Titus. Brings the fight so close to home. Titus is a Believer and most surely with Jesus.

Praying for the Revival and Blessing G-d for protecting Jamal’s court appearance in Jordan, R. J. Berry and Dan Lewis’ elections in Albuquerque and the West Side!!!

Bless G-d that KKIM is on the internet!!

Love ya,

Eric and Chris

Please keep Titus's family in your prayers.

Friends, We are in a World War.......Not the World War II my Dad and his 6 brothers fought in.......but in a way very similar because some things do not change. SPIRITUAL WARFARE! More Christian need to be aware of Spiritual Warfare.

Just like we talked at the CUP this morning, we need Godly leaders.......Our Country is dying, because of the lack of Godly leaders. We have ZERO Godly leaders at to the TOP! We have no Godly strategy to fight this Spiritual warfare in Washington! Wether it be health care, the economy, the War...etc.......At the Top... the Cupboard is bare!!!!

We have a start here in Albuquerque now, electing Godly leaders... my prayer is that it will spread throughout the nation!!!

Praise/Prayer/News CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

The Lord Jesus Christ knows every key in our souls, and He can wake up our whole being to harmonies of music that will set the world ringing with His praises! Charles Spurgeon

Prayer is the essential activity of waiting for God: acknowledging our helplessness and His power, calling upon Him for help, seeking His counsel. So it is evident why prayer is often commanded by God, since His purpose in the world is to be exalted for His mercy. Prayer is the antidote for the disease of self-confidence.

AMEN!!!

Needed prayer........
Dewey,
My husbands sister - Casey - is having brain surgery today. At the young age of 41 she's been diagnosed with a brain anneurysm. Everything is expected to go smoothly, but having your skull cut open is quite scary. Paul's dad is a nervous wreck. Please also pray that this is something that Paul is never stricken with as the most likely relative to also suffer one is a sibling.

Thanks and love,

Taunya

Let us be in prayer for Casey

Answered Payer........Thanks to those of you who kept me updated!

Dewey, here's a praise report from Tom Doyle and Jamal in Jordan...
Thanks for your prayers, Frank

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your prayers and fasting for Jamal! I just talked to him on Skype. Jamal told me that he has a gash in his head and lots of bruises on his face but is ok. There is no question that the man was attempting to kill him because after he jabbed the screwdriver into his head he jumped on top of him and tried to stick the screwdriver into his chest.

Jamal is back from court now and God moved there in a powerful way! Jordan tries to quell anything between Muslims against Christians quickly because they don't want any negative publicity to affect their Tourism industry. Without a steady stream of tourists- (and many of them Christians) going to sites like Mount Nebo, Petra, and Jerash their economy would become very unsteady. So the government tries to deal with these things and keep them out of the press. That's why even though the attack happened last night, Jamal was in court this morning.

So here is what happened in court. The Muslim man was found guilty of attempted murder and taken into custody. Jamal was not asked about his evangelistic ministry and that is a real blessing!!!! Jamal reminds all of us at times of one the disciples in the book of Acts. He asked the head of the police if he could talk to the man that attacked him before they took him away, and they agreed to bring him back for Jamal to talk to. In front of everyone, Jamal said to the man that tried to kill him: "When Jesus died on the cross for my sins and yours He said 'Father forgive them' ...and I want you to know that I forgive you too. And because of that, there is nothing between you and me and there is nothing between your family and mine. I forgive you and know that God will use this in your life. I will come visit you and will see you when you are released. I love you with Jesus' love!"

Wow! How powerful is that testimony of Grace! The Middle East is where revenge is normal and grace is rarely, if ever, seen. Jamal said that as they led the man away, he noticed that that head of the police who is Muslim was crying!!! Praise the Lord. God touched his heart by this living picture of grace. Jamal says that he has received a call from just about every pastor in Jordan as the news of the attack had traveled fast. They were standing with him in prayer. You too were standing with him in prayer and in fasting. Which is why I believe we saw such miraculous events transpire in court today. Jamal said to say "thank you brothers and sisters in America. I felt your prayers and the Lord used them to strengthen me in this difficult time."

Jamal also says: "please pray for Abdul Raouf who attacked me." We are believing that God will use this to bring him to Jesus, (and very likely make him into a leader as well!) We hope that when God does this that Abdul will join us in the ministry!!!" Amazing. Now that's forgiveness.

Jamal closed with this: "Tom, I need to go to bed now. I am going to Egypt on a mission trip tomorrow!" Ok!!! Wow if that would have happened to any of us we probably would have needed counseling or something! But not Jamal. God's work goes on.

All of us at e3 Partners are so privileged to work with Jamal and many other frontline saints just like him. e3 President Curtis Hail and I just talked and he said "can you believe we get to serve Christ with people like this?" Amen to that!

The believers in the Middle East are ready and willing to be persecuted and martyred for the cause of Christ. Two years ago today, our dear brother Rami Ayaad was martyred in Gaza. God continues to use Rami's life and I'm sure will do so for decades to come. So we thank God that He spared Jamal's life.

Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers. Thank you for calling your people to prayer and fasting and your gracious response. We love you.

God Bless you all. Good night Jamal. Get some good sleep. Egypt needs Jesus too! Blessings, Tom, JoAnn, Julia, and entire e3 Team.

Let us also pray for my home town of Windom, Minnesota. Remember City officials tried to remove the Fire Chief because he drove a Fire Truck to a Church for a wedding picture? Well, now they did the following...........once again making the news for all the wrong reasons.......It involved a relative of mine, 101 year old John Moede whose Dad was my Grandpa Moede's brother.........When my 93 Year Old Uncle Joe heard this he was so sad.........

> > Hey fellas,

Thanks to my Sister-in-Law Denise Moede of Windom for sending this to me. The City officials of Windom have lost their moral compass. They lack common sense. It is a disgrace. The Town is being ran by people that are nothing but inept.

Windom and all communities need people like Dan Lewis......who helps bring back God into Government. Many communities like Windom, lack Godly people in Government positions.

Praise God........Pastor Dan Lewis Joined us on New Mexico News and Views. Dan was just elected to a City Council seat in Albuquerque!

NEWS MAKERS OF THE DAY:

Well. we have to start off with Pastor of Soul Rio Church and newly elected Albuquerque District 5 City Council Member, Dan Lewis (Bio above). His Church of 10 years is located on Southern & Unser in Rio Rancho, but his congregation just grew another 48,000 people for Dan to look after. He stated he started his campaign wanting to listen to people and to do so with integrity and honesty (talk about change). He's going to focus on the crime situation in his district and public safety. Saying he has much respect for R.J. Berry, Dan says Albuquerque's newly elected Mayor is humble and that he is very impressed with him. Most should be, since he's the first Republican Mayor to take office in nearly a qyarter of a century! Even Bill Clinton and Howard Dean couldn't help Martin Chavez this time around. Dan says it was the grass roots effort and people were fighting for their values. Younger people are getting involved with politics and others can't just be angry about things, they need to get involved and change the situations at hand. Whether he won or lost, Dan was going to honor God, plus he attributes his and Berry's win to what he called, "almost the perfect storm," referring to the corruption investigations hovering about Governor Bill Richardson and the Democratic powers to be here in NM.

How wonderful it is to have Dan Lewis serving Albuquerque and also new Mayor Berry! PRAISE GOD!!!

Here is a note from Pastor Leonard on the Revival the Lord has set in our hearts ............

Just doing a little thinking about revival in the land, ABQ.

Some steps to begin NOW!

1) Prayer. The people who are tuned in now via Twitter, KKIM, DeweysDailyCup, Mark's network of emails and Leonard's contacts must be engaged. We must call people to PRAY, NOW!
II Chronicles 7:14, "if MY people, will humble themselves and PRAY and turn from their wicked ways". He first calls on HIS PEOPLE to begin the process. The revival never comes without HIS people repenting of their neglect, laziness, and complacent attitudes. IT MUST FIRST START US, WITH THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

2) No revival in the history of mankind has EVER OCCURRED without people returning to THE BOOK. Revival comes when people recommit themselves to be readers, studiers and researchers of the Bible. Remember, I said, NO REVIVAL has ever occurred without people turning to God's Word. i.e. Nehemiah. They rebuilt the walls but revival and renewal came when the law was read. They discovered what God wanted them to do in their personal lives and the life of their country.

3) Obedience. Remember II Chronicles 7:14 says, "if...turn from their evil ways, THEN, I will hear from heaven and heal their land". The healing of the land, renewal of our lives and spirits, and revival to our city, state and country comes when WE God's people repent of our high walls of division, repent of our complacency to doing what God's says, and repent of our distractions that the devil has placed in our lives. "Love the Lord our God with all of our body, mind, soul and spirit AND to love our neighbor as ourselves".

These HAVE to be preached and encouraged via every means possible. It must start with ME. I must pray, repent, get into God's Word, and DO WHAT IT SAYS. Those who claim to know Him must follow what HE said, "if you love me, keep my commandments."

Just thinking.

Praying for you and your families,
Leonard

Please be praying about the KKIM Revival......We feel it will be in the Spring, Lord Willing.

URGENT PRAYER/NEW MAYOR CUP

Dear KKIM Family,

Psa 84:5
"How blessed is the one whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the highways to Zion!"

Where God guides HE provides!

Praying for you and your families.

Leonard

Frank Just got this..........
We have just received an urgent message and prayer request from our friend Tom Doyle in Colo. Springs with the Evaga Cube ministry:

In Jordan yesterday, their Middle East Director-Jamal Zarka had an attempt on his life by a fanatical Muslim in their e3 MECA office. The man that tried to kill Jamal came to the office and said that he had questions about Jesus. Jamal began to visit with him and when he turned to get a booklet, the man tried to kill Jamal by driving a screwdriver into the back of his head. Jamal turned around in shock after the weapon stuck in his head and he was hit in the face by a club. Miraculously, Jamal survived the attack and the Jordanian police were called.

The Muslim hard liner was carried off to jail but as he left Jamal told him in front of the Jordanian authorities- "I follow Jesus and I don't hold this against you. I forgive you, and I love you and will pray for you and your family." The Muslim was stunned and said "you are a better man than I am!"

Today Jamal will have to appear in court and give his side of the story. The main issue that Jamal will have to answer is "why is this Muslim man so angered by what you are doing." Jamal may be exposed for his evangelistic work in Jordan.

Jamal has asked for our fervent prayers .

God is moving in the Middle East and our enemy hates this. Praise God that this attack will spur the gospel on to reach more people and God will be glorified by all of this. Jamal said that he is "honored" to suffer for Christ! Just like the disciples in Acts 5:41

"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not weapons of this world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." II Corinthians 10:3-4

Thanks for your prayers for this brother, Jamal Zarka in Jordan.

Here is a note from Pastor Don Kimbro who is also a friend of Tom's........

Hi Dewey,
Dorothy and I have just returned from a Muslim Background Believers conference, where we heard testimonies of how God is changing the hearts of Muslims all over the world and they are coming to Christ. Jesus is appearing to many in visions and dreams. He is raising up a new generation of believers in Muslim countries, as we witnessed 48 who have recently come to the Lord, many who gave their testimonies. Some have been totally disowned by their families, and even have death threats upon their lives but they are remaining faithful regardless of the costs. A 17-hear old teenager, now residing with a Christian pastor in Orlando, FL, is a prime example. Please pray for her as the judge decides whether to return her to Ohio and a Muslim father who has threatened to kill her. We have much to learn from these new believers, most of whom are young people. Praise God!

Pastor Don

Let us keep all these matters in our Prayers.
I was swamped last night after watching the Dramatic Victory by the Minnesota Twins I heard from many, Thank you..I was asked if I had any hair left! Did I have any to begin with! Sharon was on the phone with my 93 year Old Uncle Joe who was gasping for breath on every pitch and Sharon then was on the Phone with Pastor Leonard telling him that she was glad the neighbors didn't call the Cops with all my loud cheering! We have AWESOME neighbors! I became cranky there for awhile during the game and I think Sharon wishes I would have taken it outside! I have an AWESOME wife!
After the game I went back to work on reporting on the Mayor's race. That is why you should join us on Twitter like Pastor Mark Scales! Keep posted on all news and prayer needs.
Anyhow after sending out News Alerts on Twitter and Email, I got a bunch of replies from people that even said they were dancing in their living room with Berry's Victory! The only candidate who is against same sex marriage. This is a huge victory for the Republican Party, the last time the Duke City had a Republican Mayor is Kinney from 81 to 85. Can the Republican Party carry this momentum into the Gov's race? especially with the pay to play scandal raising it's ugly head again, against the Richardson Administration. (The Richardson Administration is a disgrace against God)The other question is can the Republican Party get it's act together state wide? It needs more people like State Rep. Nora Espinoza, Janice E Arnold Jones, Walter Bradley, Mayor Bradley, Steve Pierce, Bill Redmond, Attorney David Standridge, Pastor Steve Smothermon, Pastor Marvin Capehart.God's people who will speak up!!!!

I have been asked to run for office, but the Lord has me right where he wants me to be. I remind people I am an Independent, I am for the Jesus Party! I voted yesterday and will vote for Godly people. I do not do well with Party Politics. That is why I am so outspoken with all the wrong doing's in the Richardson Administration. It is down right wrong! Is there anything that represents Jesus in that office?

The People of New Mexico continue to let their voices be heard, Defeating same sex marriage, knocking down changes to the Pledge of Allegiance, and now electing Mayor Berry. It is a battle everyday, and we here at KKIM and the CUP will continue to fight on, Lord willing.
-0-

State Rep. Richard Berry scored an impressive victory Tuesday with an outright win over three-term incumbent Martin Chávez to become Albuquerque's next mayor.
"We had a message that resonated with voters in Albuquerque, and we worked hard," said Berry, a general contractor and two-term Republican state representative who campaigned as a "common-sense" business owner with conservative themes. He claimed victory at about 11 p.m.
Chávez stopped short of conceding Tuesday night. But before leaving a campaign party, he said, "Clearly, if the trend continues, R.J. Berry will be our next mayor."
Berry led Chávez by 7,326 votes with all precincts counted in what appeared to be a light turnout of about 25 percent.
Berry maintained a 5 percentage point or better lead over Chávez throughout the night and finished above the 40 percent threshold needed to avoid a runoff election next month. His margin over Chávez ended up being nearly 9 percentage points, according to unofficial results.
Richard Romero, the third candidate in the race, was trailing, with about 21 percent.
If the election results are certified, Berry will become the first Republican mayor elected in Albuquerque since Harry Kinney won in 1981, joining a City Council that now holds a 5-to-4 Republican majority.
Little dissatisfaction with Chávez was evident before the campaign went full-bore, but Berry and Romero both stepped up criticism of the incumbent on crime and other issues as the campaign moved on. Both challengers argued that 12 of years of Chávez was simply too much.
The Albuquerque mayoral election is nonpartisan, but party affiliations clearly played a role. Chávez, a moderate if not a conservative Democrat, appeared to split Democratic votes with Romero, a former Democratic state senator. Berry rounded up Republicans and was competitive even in Democratic-leaning areas.
Chávez already made history when he was elected in 2005, becoming the first mayor to win consecutive terms since the city adopted the city charter system in 1974. Chávez also served as mayor from 1993 to 1997.

The new mayor takes over Dec. 1 for a four-year term.

Let us Pray..........

Lord, watch over the new Mayor of Albuquerque, Richard Berry......We pray that he will turn the Mayor's office to Your ways. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

I asked on Twitter, you are missing News Alerts and more if you do not follow us on Twitter www.twitter.com/radiodewey

Anyhow I asked last night who was the last Republican to serve as Mayor of Albuquerque and Chris Tweeted back, Kinney from 1981 to 1985.

Is that correct? I don't know, I moved here in 1995.A huge victory for the Republican Party tonight in the Duke City.

Okay, just got a tweet from Jason and he agrees with Chris that Kinney was the last Republican to hold's the Mayor's office in the Duke City.

KKIM NEWS ALERT

Former Duke City Mayor Jim Baca telling Mayor Marty that he was a good Mayor and Mayoral Candidate Richard Romero calling Richard Berry and congratulating him on being the next Mayor of Albuquerque.

This is a huge victory for the Republican Party. State Rep Berry was the only candidate against same sex marriage. Can this momentum carry over into the Governors race for the Republicans?

With the pay to play scandal raising it's ugly head in NY again.........all this helps Republicans.

When is the last time Albuquerque had a Republican for Mayor?

Another Victory for Berry is that Dan Lewis was defeating incumbent City Councilman Michael Cadigan. Berry and Lewis campaigned on the Westside together. A Lewis victory is a huge boost to the new mayor.

KKIM NEWS ALERT NEW MAYOR/ALBUERQUE??

It Appears that Albuquerque has elected a new Mayor, Richard Berry. At 9:50pm the New Mexico Independent reported that Mayor Chavez has spoken with Berry and the two will meet tomorrow at Noon. Mayor Chavez met with his supporters at about 9:40pm telling them it appears Berry will be the next Mayor, It's not over, but doesn't look good.

As I write this at 9:55pm Berry 40.7% Chavez 35.47 and Romero 23.61% With about 45% of the vote in.

Richard Berry is the only candidate who is not for same sex marriage. He is a Republican and State Rep. This is a huge victory for the Republican Party. Could this momentum carry over into the race for Governor?

Dan Lewis who campaigned together with Berry on the Westside where I live is beating incumbent Michael Cadigan in the race for City Council. A major shift on the Council will occur with a Lewis victory.

KKIM's Frank Haley will have details in the morning

Nora meant to say Berry is anti-abortion

TEXT MESSAGE FROM PASTOR LEONARD IN TX

Dear KKIM Family,

Pastor Leonard Navarre who is in Texas holding a revival, where 6 people accepted Christ last night.......... just text me this message..........

People choose U before they choose your Jesus.

AMEN! AWESOME!

KKIM PLANS SPRING REVIVAL IN DUKE CITY CUP

Dear KKIM Family,

There is nothing more important today than being obedient to the LORD and serving HIS people.

"The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them." Psalm 25:14

"As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength" Psalm 25:14

I turn my computer on and I have two very encouraging messages...........

Dear Dewey,

I don't have time to write. BUT I wanted to let you know that God is with you.
Probably more than you know.

God bless,

Karen

You can tell the size of your God by looking at the length of your worry list. The longer your list, the smaller your God.

Luke 12:27, 28 Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.28 And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

Have a blessed day.
I am praying for you and your families.
Leonard

I am supposed to be taking the day off.....but God put some things on my heart that he wanted me to share.........Like we here in the United States of America are covering God up???? What does this tell God about us??? Why do we allow this............

High court to decide if war memorial violates Constitution - CNN.com*

If you have not read this past weekends cup you can go to www.deweysdailycup.com and the posting that went up Saturday, with the United States of America losing it's influence over the World, we have further evidence today..........

Frank has this story posted at www.mykkim.com

In the most profound financial change in recent Middle East history, Gulf Arabs are planning – along with China, Russia, Japan and France – to end dollar dealings for oil, moving instead to a basket of currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency planned for nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar.
Secret meetings have already been held by finance ministers and central bank governors in Russia, China, Japan and Brazil to work on the scheme, which will mean that oil will no longer be priced in dollars.

The United States of America as a whole is covering up God. We are losing our Country as we once knew it because of sin. The Church needs to be Revived, God's people need to be revived! That is what Pastor Garland Moore and Pastor Mark Tross and I were sharing last night.........so would you pray with us as we have been directed by the Lord to hold a revival in Albuquerque come Spring. Would you pray about taking part? Would you pray for us? It is time!!! We are to be the Salt and Light of the World until the Lord returns. We just can't keep talking about these problems we face we have to take action, so we will have a revival!

Now to end out time together today....Merry sent us this heart warming story.........

Lord, lead us as we plan for a Revival in these times......surround us with Godly people to serve Your Will. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Jump Starter CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

I will speak Your testimonies also before kings, And I will not be ashamed. Psalm 119:36

When do you know your in the Lord's will?

You feel power and peace at the same time. You feel HIM with you. You get confirmation from Godly people. You actually feel HIM carrying you through your days!

But as Paul says we have to be praying all the time.

Meekness does not mean weakness, it is POWER under control.

I pray that this CUP is a blessing to you.....I pray over your names and the Lord guides me what to write...AMEN!

P.S. Don't rush through this CUP.......Pray over it let God talk to you! I am sadden when people say, Oh I just skimmed over it. Many do that in Church and in reading the Bible.Take time.

Sharon want's to share this FUNNY BONE with you........

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

A Sunday School teacher decided to have her young class
memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible -
Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the
chapter. Little Rick was excited about the task - but he
just couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice,
he could barely get past the first line. On the day
that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of
the congregation, Ricky was so nervous... When it was his
turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly,
"The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to
know."

Deanna Warner, "Don't turn to the left or right stay right in the middle" That is what the Holy Spirit was sharing with her when she was praying with me on Friday. Deanna is a prayer warrior. I met her thanks to Pastor Alan and Gail Hawkins of New Life City. Deanna was at New Life about a month ago to share about children's ministry. I was blessed to be able to interview her for Pastor Alan and Gail's New Life City Weekend Edition.

That message is a confirmation for me to not go to the left or right.to keep my eye's fixed on Jesus and also that is why I am a registered Independent. I am for Jesus Party! Everyone needs to join Jesus Party!

Some in the Church will not address current issues because they are afraid that they will loose members or get people mad. But the Lord tell's us to be the salt and light of the world and to occupy until He comes.

Some people now get very defensive and go into an attack mode when a person speaks up for Godly ways...Biblical principals.......they want to turn it into a war of word's. I am not one to do that. The Lord gives me the words and sometimes no response is needed.

In preparation for my Stewardship and KKIM the Lord had prepared me to become an Independent of man's thinking and man's political parties. As Man's political parties have been nothing short of disaster for America.

It is when heart's are changed for the Lord that things begin to change.

I also call it FREEDOM in the LORD................

"The liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free." Galatians 5:1

This "liberty" makes us free to heaven's charter—the Bible. Here is a choice passage, believer, "When thou passest through the rivers, I will be with thee." You are free to that. Here is another: "The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee"; you are free to that. You are a welcome guest at the table of the promises. Scripture is a never-failing treasury filled with boundless stores of grace. It is the bank of heaven; you may draw from it as much as you please, without let or hindrance. Come in faith and you are welcome to all covenant blessings. There is not a promise in the Word which shall be withheld. In the depths of tribulations let this freedom comfort you; amidst waves of distress let it cheer you; when sorrows surround thee let it be thy solace. This is thy Father's love-token; thou art free to it at all times. Thou art also free to the throne of grace. It is the believer's privilege to have access at all times to His heavenly Father. Whatever our desires, our difficulties, our wants, we are at liberty to spread all before Him. It matters not how much we may have sinned, we may ask and expect pardon. It signifies nothing how poor we are, we may plead His promise that He will provide all things needful. We have permission to approach His throne at all times—in midnight's darkest hour, or in noontide's most burning heat. Exercise thy right, O believer, and live up to thy privilege. Thou art free to all that is treasured up in Christ—wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. It matters not what thy need is, for there is fulness of supply in Christ, and it is there for thee. O what a "freedom" is thine! freedom from condemnation, freedom to the promises, freedom to the throne of grace, and at last freedom to enter heaven!

Over the weekend I sent you a Cup about the state of the World. I did that as the Lord gave me the words. Those that know me best know I care about God's way and His people.

I got a lot of comments on how people thought the CUP was were right on........and the word's written were what they wanted to say......some examples............

God bless you, Dewey! ...And 'the work of your hands!'.

Thank you for your continued wisdom. Today's Cup really verbalized so many of my own concerns. I pray it serves to mobilize many hearts!

Much love to you and your fam.

AMEN !!!

You are good man. The depth of your caring is such an encouragement to me.

Thank you.

In Santa Fe all week for Council of State Governments-West Annual meeting. Will also have a STEM conference at the same time. Links, just in case you have time to look at agendas.

Then I got the following letter from a faithful reader of the CUP, Gary......

The deficit DID NOT start with this administration...so why ALL the obsession to criticize, blame and belittle an administration that is no more perfect than the author and readers of this post.
I'll reference two scriptures: we are informed to 'pray' for those that have rule over us and those 'without' sin are to cast the first stone...but this (unfortunately) is America: Land of the Free, Home of the Brave! So, some take advantage of that (newspaper, radio, tv, Internet) and use it to their benefit.
I wonder if the same level (obsession) of criticism would have been leveled at a non-African American male or female president face with tge same 'uphill' challenge left by the previous administration....which seems to draw little to no rebuttal about the delimma that the current president is faced with.
400% increase of death threats on his life since taking this 'job', criticism with just about everything he attempts that is really motivates by 'others' and...that's about as far as I need to travel on this 'road'.
I feel that we ALL need to be a bit more critical about how easily we slip and allow satan access into our actions. Some of us influence quite a good number of people and will be held accountable because of this.
Yes, this country...the inhabitants of this planet...need to pray for each other!

Gary W./Orr Shreveport Auto

Gary's letter is an example why many will not speak up for the Lord. This is not about race, and whatever else Gary tries to make of it. But if you read the Cup over the weekend, you will understand my Biblical points. This is an excellent example of the question I asked in the Weekend Cup.....Why do not Political leaders who say they believe in Our Lord state so?.......Psalm 119:46.......I will speak Your testimonies also before kings, And I will not be ashamed. Many in office and now in the Church are afraid to speak God's truth because they will be accused of hate and being a raciest and so on. They are afraid they will not get re-elected and Pastor's can be afraid that they will lose members. That is why we put on the armor of God each day! Stick to the facts!

"Some Pastors just don't believe the doctrine anymore." Don Nordin

Gary my love and prayers are with you!!!!

Eph 6:10-11

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

What an AWESOME day in the Lord yesterday!

Gretchen cam over yesterday and we watched the Twins beat the Royals. Gretchen and I watched the Twins win in 87, 91 and now! But as Sharon lovingly said she had no choice in 87 as I was able to hold her in my arms!!!! LOL!!! We have a picture of me and Gretchen on a Wheaties Box with my in my Twins Uniform on, holding Gretchen with the banner, Minn Twins 1987 World Series Champs!

Lunch with son Lars today!!!

It is times like these when I am able to spend with my children, wife and the doggies that I am really so amazed at the works of the Lord!!!

Here is the rest of that lovely mailbag............

Please Pray for Pastor Leonard Navarre, as he is holding a revival in Texas. I asked Leonard if it was the Church his son Pastor's?

No, it's not at my son's church, but just 20 miles away.
Please pray for the Adina Christian Church revival:

Morning message: Called to Love and Serve: Key verses

Joh 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Joh 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Sunday evening's message (Good Lord willing)

Keys to Revival

Key verse:

1Sa 7:3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, "If you return to the LORD with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the LORD and serve Him alone; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines."

Thanks for the prayers,

Shalom Dewey,

The L-rd has given us a name for our outreach: She-av (say sheh-av – with emphasis on the av). For explanation, please check out:

http://sh-av.blogspot.com/

We’ve also secured Isaiah123.com, .org, and .net, which redirect to that Blogspot. Isaiah 123 is for Isaiah 12:3.

We have outreach cards as well. Wanted you and Pastor Mark to be the first to know!

We’ll call u this week about KKIM 15-second spot.

Today begins the Feast of Tabernacles, one of G-d’s appointed times. In Leviticus 23:33-36, G-d tells Moses to instruct His people about it and to tell them that Tabernacles, along with all His other Appointed Times, are Lasting Ordinances for the generations to come. Zechariah 14 makes clear that survivors from all the nations that attacked Jerusalem (end times) will go up to Jerusalem to worship and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (Hebrew Tabernacle with Him)!

Netanyahu’s speech last week was spot-on!

Great interview w/Nora Espinosa on the Mayor’s race. No question about who to vote for! Bless G-d for Berry’s conviction to represent righteousness!

Love ya,

Eric and Chris

Our Dearest Dewey, and Sharon.
Somehow I knew it was time I should be writting you. Sorry for the delay.
You are so special to me Dewey. And I know I always have someone that will pray for me in a time of crisis. And as you know, that is daily. But it is hard for me to ask for help.
Its time for my shots in the neck again. I'm in alot of pain. The weather here is dropping 25 degrees in 2 days. My body is yelling 'Help' :)
But other than that my life is the same Dewey. Have you ever felt guilty that you can not help someone? That they just haven't seen your everyday life and it doesn't matter anyway? That is how I am feeling. But a friend told me "hey, You are Not God" Only He can bring someone to his knowledge. But I've always felt that someone will never know if they don't see it in someone around them. So here I am feeling guilty and yet allowing it to bring me down at the same time. Lord Willing, I will know His Will soon.
Gods Peace to you and Yours. Sincerely, sam

Wow!
What a grand experience on Are u Ready! KCHF Telethon!
God is moving in atremendous way bringing the body of Christ together!

This and That and Obama failures Cup KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

How are you on this wonderful Saturday......the first day of the Albuquerque Balloon Festival?

Things I am wondering this morning.......

I miss friends who do not stay in touch

I always do not know how to handle people who may be upset with me that do not return calls

I mourn at the possible loss of Friends

I wish I could help everybody

I wonder why the fact that R.J. Berry is the only Albuquerque Mayoral candidate against same sex marriage is not getting more coverage.

It seems even the Church is not paying enough attention to the above fact.

Why do Politicians who claim to have a Personal relationship with Jesus Christ....why do they not take the Lord's stances and Proclaim Him as their Lord and Savior?

Psalm 119: 46-47

I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, And I will not be ashamed. And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love.

Let us pray that Politicians who claim to know Jesus, will proclaim that!!! And proclaim HIS ways!

Let me share this with you from Victor Davis Hanson who is with the Hoover Institution. This is a little bit of his editorial in the Alby Journal today.........

3 Dangerous Stooges at the U.N.

Gadhafi raved for 90 minutes ......rambled so much his interpreter collapsed........attacked the US

Iran's Leader slandered Jews and the U.S.

Venezuela's Chavez faulted U.S. for his own problems and attacked Israel

America better pay attention.

These countries get their money from us...oil money
'
Recent large finds of oil in Alaska, California, North Dakota and off the Gulf Coast reminds us that America has plenty of oil left. It's rapid development would lower our import bill, reduce global prices and take some profits out of these repugnant three regimes.

(Makes too much sense for Washington!!!)

Our enemies have cash; WE DON"T. The U.S. is running a projected $2 trillion annual deficit, while adding to an existing $11 trillion national debt.

Russia is floating in oil money

China is our largest foreign creditor

Russia and China understand that most of the world's renegade regimes hate us more than they do them, and that America is divided at home, BROKE, and HUNGRY FOR OIL. (That is a huge statement for America to look at....we are BROKE...in more ways than one.)

Bottom Line: The U.S. even with the World's largest Military----- is having a hard time pleading for Russian help, lecturing China to act responsibly, boycotting Iran, or isolating Gadhafi or Chavez.

It wouldn't if we produced our own energy and got our financial house in order.

Great write up!

AMEN to that! Too much common sense for Washington. WOW! In the meantime Washington is consumed by OBAMACARE!!!

Sorry if the TRUTH hurts!

Obama failed in his attempt to get the Olympics for his hometown Chicago.

Should he have traveled across for that? Spent so much money on the trip!!!

He is failing at every turn............

Not getting the Olympics for Chicago is a HUGE failure for the President.

Spending a lot of time and money on the trip to Denmark while country is drowning in red ink.

His charm and marketing talents are not up to the job as President

He's trying to do too much at once

Even some in his own party are now realizing that he tries do to a lot and is not succeeding on anything!

He does not have what it takes to close a deal.

He is a so called celebrity, but is that a good thing?

He's too casual to be President! David Letterman show? and we know more about how dirty Letterman is everyday.

He's junior varsity-league at best......still learning on the job when U.S. cannot afford a rookie at the wheel.

His doubters are growing even in his own party.

Where is his relationship with Jesus Christ?

We really need to pray for our Country........We need to pray for Our President that he get's closer to Jesus Christ.

President Obama has plainly proven that he is not up to the task to be President. What was America thinking?

I encourage you all to read Psalm 119 today.........

Let us be bold in our faith and not be afraid to say that we worship the King of Kings!

Psalm 119: 46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings.

Mr. President.......Do you know Jesus Christ?

CUP OF HEALTH KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

PRAISE GOD!!!
We are together this morning!
How God works! I was to have an early morning meeting and it looked like I was not going to be able to share a Cup with you today, but it got postponed. We have many who want to share a CUP with us this am.

I want to share with you something that I have been praying about and working on. many of you know that I still play competitive Softball at my age of 53. I work out weekly if not daily. Treadmill, weights, and walking. I am in the best health of my life. I got a note from John Viney my Insurance man saying that I work to hard!!! John said that I better have good life Insurance!!! LOL!!! I get told often out of love that I work to hard....well the Lord covers us in His spirit and energy to do His work. He also tell's us to take care of our Temples. Sharon's back ground is in medical research. She has an autoimmune disease, I have had health challenges in the past also. Dr. Larry Bates put us on to Stem Enhance 2 years ago!!! So we have taken Stem Enhance for that long to see how it would help us or if it would not, now we know through prayer that it is time to share. It has helped us tremendously......You know me and Sharon, We would never recommend something that I do not believe in.......be I see what it has done for Sharon and myself. I would invite you to look at this web site..........Sharon has researched this supplement and Company and taken the product like me for 2 years, and we give it an A Plus!!!

Here is the web site www.radiodewey.stemtechbiz.com

Lot's of feedback on the last posting........God does speak to us!

I want to share from Becky Tirabassi's book again this am..........."Let God Talk to You"

The Church does not speak on this enough.......

God talks to you because He created you to communicate with Him as easily and as often as you communicate with others.

Think about that........pray over that........

Hearing God talk is not dependent upon age or gender, education or precived personal worth.

God talks to everyone------wether a child, a parent, people who lead, or people who follow. God talks to the faithful and the faithless. God talks to the helpless or hopeless. God speaks both gently and powerfully to those who are humble or are being humbled in front of Him and others. And God talks PERSONALLY to those who are dependent on Him or desperate for Him, both young and old. God talks to those who DEEPLY put their trust in His name and His POWER and His WORD. And God talks to those who are running from Him.

I feel the same as Becky does........I believe God talks to me on any given day by comforting me through Bible verses I'm reading that day.

When you have the Holy Spirit with you.......and you are listening for God....He will talk to you.

It is the GREATEST HIGH in the World!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing like walking with Jesus everyday!!!!!!!!!!

Let me share with you a couple of notes we have...........

Dewey, I enjoyed your Daily Cup today (9/30/09)!

Does God still speak today? Consider this passage:

John 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

Is Jesus still the Good Shepherd of His sheep? Or did He somehow become a "Silent Partner" after the close of the canon of Scripture? I say He speaks today - through the Bible, through prayer, through other Christians, through life events, through pleasure and pain, through monotony...etc., etc. In 2 Corinthians 6 Paul writes that God will live and walk among us. Indeed He does, through the Holy Spirit, and He leaves His holy footprints everywhere. The real question is not whether God still speaks today, but whether His people are listening. I believe the church, especially in the USA, has become complacent, passive, and there is little to no expectancy, from the pew or pulpit, for God to speak or show up in our midst. We'd rather just hear a good sermon, compliment the pastor on his fine preaching skills, and then be on our way. Contrast that to what Paul writes about in 1 Cor. 14 when the gift of prophecy is exercised in church, and the unbeliever falls down and states, "God is really among you!" Does that happen today? Do people leave church in godly fear with the experience that God was really among them that day? Maybe, but not nearly enough, I say.

I love your enthusiasm! Keep it up, and keep serving up that good coffee!

Victor G. Martinez

Dewey,

I believe! I don't think that you are whacked for saying that God speaks to you...

"Tess", I believe, from "Touched by and Angel," said, but with much practicality,
"when we pray...people say that we are talking to God"...BUT ..."when God speaks to us, people say that we are crazy."

God speaks to me too...I listen for HIS voice! I ask HIM to speak to me in my heart and my mind and I hear HIM!

Sometimes, it is "on the line" of "God was that really you?" Or, "am I just trying to fit an answer into my mind?" God responds with a confirmation in a way that only God can do,

BUT it requires my faith and trust to believe that it was really God speaking to my heart.

Like you said, when God speaks to me, it requires some sort of action on my behalf! Again, not necessarily hard, but seemingly impossible to my mind full logic! That is where I draw the line of faith and throw out the logic and replace human logic with FULL faith and do as God says!

If someone asked me "how do you know it was God?" I could only say that I believe... and by faith, I just know. But I can take it a step further by saying that by following God's voice of direction, in pure belief and obedience and in complete faith, I see the miracle...that thing come to pass that God says to do! With God all things are possible! I believe!

Finally, the only thing that I can add right now is that God is good and HE only asks us to do good! Christ Jesus is alive in my life! And HE leads by faith and peace and not by signs.
I read the Bible expecting to hear from God....usually, I state that to God as I ask HIM for HIS word to me. I may only read one scripture, or I may read 30, but I will meditate on that scripture or scriptures, when I sense God's hand there until I hear the voice of God in my life!

To explain further, like you said, sometimes it is a quiet still voice in my mind and my heart...audible, but not...but with no doubt it was not my idea!
But many times I just know, when I know that I know...with the OH YEAH! THAT'S IT! I GET IT NOW! ...And that peace from God floods in my soul to know the truth that God reveals to me in my mind, heart and soul!

HIS voice gives me direction and I follow in faith! God has NEVER lead me astray! God IS HOLY and God IS God! God can do all things, and HE can speak to us in our heart...The HOLY Spirit, I can't explain HIM in full...BUT I do know that God is ONE of THREE!

I am no one exceptionally special...I just seek HIS face and expect to find HIM! I hope that someone is inspired and encouraged to seek God's voice today!

Humbly and thankfully, I share this...

God bless us one and all!
With special love in Christ,
Karen Rowe, Hope In Today

Dewey,

It is important that people know Representative Richard Berry, candidate for Albuquerque mayor, is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage. He voted against domestic partnerships in the legislature and he has been endorsed by NM Right to Life when he was running for State Representative. He is a small business owner with his wife.

Pray for Richard and his wife. Please continue to pray that pro-life, pro-traditional marriage voters will act on their faith and vote their values and that Richard will be elected Albuquerque mayor on October 6, 2009

He holds an A Rating from the NRA.

Blessings always,

Nora Espinoza

Good morning, may your day be one filled with God's direction, leading and blessings.

Eph 3:17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Eph 3:18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

Eph 3:19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

I am praying for you and your families.

I am meeting with a church in east Texas about doing Church Consulting for them and about a mission trip to India in January.

God bless,

Leonard

Please pray for Pastor Leonard as he is in Texas to do a Revival!!!! Pray for him also about making a trip to India.

Dear Friends,
Thanks for your prayer concerning the Muslim prayer rally in Washington D.C. a week ago. Here is the encouraging report I have received: "Thank you so much for your prayers during our outreach to M'lims in Washington last Friday.~ By our estimates, the number of M'lims present was only 4,000-6,000, much less than the 50,000 the organizers anticipated.~ But because of the fewer numbers, nearly every M'lim there was given the opportunity to receive the Jesus DVD and Gospel literature at least once.~ 50% to 60% of them accepted the packets, some with great joy.~ Teams distributed over 2500 packets, and many of us had good conversations with M'lims.” May many of these dear people come to know the Lord as a result!
Here are some urgent prayer concerns for the Pacific and Southeast Asia due to two massive earthquakes and tsunamis that have caused great destruction and considerable loss of life in these two regions. BBC News reports:

“Rescue workers on the Samoan islands and Tonga are continuing to search for survivors after a tsunami struck, killing at least 149 people. The prime minister of Samoa said 110 people were dead on his islands and the devastation "was complete". Officials said planes carrying aid supplies were arriving on Samoa and nearby American Samoa. They said tens of thousands of people need help in villages swamped by waves triggered by Tuesday's huge earthquake…
The death toll from Typhoon Ketsana in Vietnam has risen to at least 85, a relief official has said. There were also 16 people missing and 124 injured, across the central region. The powerful typhoon that fatally hit the Philippines and Vietnam is now weakening over Cambodia, where several people died and hundreds lost homes…
At least 770 people are now known to have died in a powerful quake that struck the Indonesian island of Sumatra on Wednesday, the government says. Rescuers are working into the night in a race to find survivors in the rubble of hundreds of collapsed buildings. Almost 2,400 people have been injured, and the death toll is expected to rise further, officials say. The 7.6-magnitude quake struck close to the city of Padang, the capital of West Sumatra province. The earthquake brought down hospitals, schools and shopping malls, cut power lines and triggered landslides.”
Please pray for an efficient, effective relief efforts to reach those who have been affected by these calamities. Many lives were lost and massive damage done.~ Roads have been cut off due to the damage, making delivery of relief supplies difficult.~Food, water, clothing, medical supplies and shelter are needed urgently in all these situations. Pray for God’s comfort and presence and that many will come to know Christ through these terrible happenings. The earthquake in Sumatra hit an area where the Minangkabau live. They are a Muslim people group that has long been mostly resistant to the Gospel.

Lena Wan, one of my IPC colleagues reports that the Philippines is bracing for another storm, Typhoon Pama, expected to hit Sat, 3 October, ~4am (GMT+8). It is feared that it could develop into a Super Typhoon.~ If it does hit, it will also move onto Central Vietnam, which is in the same line as Typhoon Ketsana.~ As she asks, let’s “pray that God will weaken the storm and divert it to the sea”.

From southern India, the Royal Kids ministry that is led by children asks us to pray for their outreach in an area controlled by a strong Hindu party. 40 kids will be carrying out this outreach, Oct. 2-4. It is an area known for communal clashes between Christians and Hindus. Please pray with them for His protection in throughout as well as for His mighty working through the children’s evangelistic and healing ministries. God’s promise to Father Anton Cruz, founder of Royal Kids: "I love children, I will shake the nations through children and my children will pray , heal the sick , pray for the nations and plant churches."

From Bhutan in the Himalayas- please pray for the house church leaders~and lay leaders who are serving the lord tirelessly day and night, many times even without food and sleep and for the 90 days mobile bible school that is in full swing until Nov. 15. My friend reports, “we are excited to see new souls come into the house of the Lord, worshipping the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”
Finally, please join Korean believers as many carry out a hunger strike in front of City Hall (Seoul, Korea) for North Korean human rights and freedom, Oct. 2-4, during a major public holiday in South Korea. Organizers say that “Choo-suk, a South Korean holiday, is a time of joy and feasting for many in the South. But in the North an estimated over 3,000 people will die over this weekend as a result of starvation, executions and torture in North Korea. Up to 7 million are starving, 250,00 languishing in concentration camps and 1000 per day are dying” according to www.unifykorea2009.com.They are asking that we pray for the ending of the North Korean genocide; the liberation of political concentration camps and penal colonies (from which food is withheld, resulting in mass death through starvation). Pray also for the successful delivery of food aid to all those starving within the country.

Thanks so much for your strong and persistent prayers of faith for these situations. May the Lord greatly bless and encourage you!

For many Christians, supporting Israel is not only a desire because we believe in the same God, but also a Biblical mandate from God (Gen. 12:3, Gen. 27:29).
