Prayers KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Peace and Strength of our Lord be with you and yours!

We had a celebration last night for Gretchen....she turned 23 years old on Feb 23! What a year 1987 was......Gretchen was born!!! and the Twins won their first ever World Series! Gretchen and I say the Twins will win it all this year!!!!!

First of all Pastor Leonard starts us off with a funny bone!

Heard this on the radio this am - A little boy said to his teacher, "I don't mean to scare you, but my daddy said if I don't start getting better grades, someone is going to get a spanking!"

The great Christian's of all time write of prayer as a time of sitting quietly with God. Jesus even went off for 40 days of prayerful solitude.

Prayer involves action; namely being attentive to God's voice in our lives. Listening for God means stopping and sitting still. It means paying attention to what God may be saying to you and me at any point in our life.

I am so grateful to our Lord to be here at the CUP to pray with you!We are here to pray for you and yours! We are here to serve. Pastor Leonard and Jim have many prayer needs to pass our way.......

We have just learned that Orin Buchleiter has had to go back to the hospital because of a blood clot that has developed. They cannot give blood thinner so they are going to place a "filter" in the blood line in case the clot moves.

Please be in prayer for Orin, the doctors and this procedure. Also prayers for Leslie and family are greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much,

Leonard

It is a blessing that we can send out these prayer requests and know that all of you are there and that you will lift up these special concerns before our heavenly Father. Here's another one:

Please pray for Troy Mantel for patience and strength. Troy will be making some important decisions soon and desires for God to lead him in the process. Also, as many of you know, he cares for Frank Nieto in his home. Frank has special health issues and needs our prayers also. So, please pray for God's will to be done in Troy's and Frank's life.

Again, in advance, thank you for your prayers and concerns.

God bless,

Leonard

Just wanted you all to know that God specializes in the impossible. "Now unto Him who is able to do MORE..." Eph 3:20

You all need to know how good our God is. I just got a call fro Teri, and there is no pulmanary embolism in Orin. Praise God! The Dr. said that only God could take care of what they saw earlier. So they plan to still go in and put the filter in his leg for the clot that is there in the morning. Keep praying but don't forget to thank him for his grace tonight!
Much love to you Leslie. We love you both so much!!

But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble.

~ 1 Corinthians 8:9, NLT

On Sunday evening, Brandi spoke up a prayer request for Rhianna and Alex. We prayed for them as a couple and Monday evening I received a call from Alex asking prayer for Rhianna, them and the kids who have been sick.

Please pray for Rhiannan who has another round of staph infection.

Blessings.

Pastor Jim

Let us keep all this in our prayers!

Please pray for me as I prepare to go the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. Thank you. I know the Lord is preparing the way.

Clyde sent this to us................

Dear Clyde,

Today we are very pleased to unveil a very important tool that will revolutionize our efforts to encourage daily prayer for our President, our nation's leaders, and our troops. The PPT Prayer Wall will allow PPT members to post prayers online - pray for other's prayers - and invite friends to pray for prayer chains. We invite you to try it immediately.

The PPT Prayer Wall

Fellowship is an important part of prayer, and this new tool allows the hundreds of thousands of PPT members to fellowship in prayer together - online - at any time the Lord leads them to pray.

Using this service, you will be able to post your prayers and requests so that others can pray for them alongside you. Then, when they do, you'll receive an email to let you know that others have joined in your own ministry for the critical issues facing the nation and her leaders.

What's more, you can also keep up with the most recent prayer requests from the web site, your mobile phone, or RSS feed, and tell others that you have prayed for their needs, too. Please come try this new tool and let us know what you think. We are excited to share it with you. We are rolling out this new feature to enhance your ministry of prayer; it is just one of the many free benefits of being a member of The Presidential Prayer Team.

Please consider helping The Presidential Prayer Team with the development costs for this new tool. As always, we make this available at no cost. Would you consider giving a gift at this time to continue to support this work?

With your gift, we will also send you another tool: a complimentary copy of America Kneels to Pray: Thirty-one Days of Prayer for Our Nation. Together, we hope these tools will continue to support your prayers for our president and nation.

Get your copy of American Kneels to Pray with your tax-deductible donation now!

I leave you with this..............

If you're waiting on God to fill in all the shading in your picture, you will never take the first step in obeying His will. You must be prepared to trust His plan, knowing it will be full of surprises. Surprises are always a part of God's leading. Chuck Swindoll

Let us pray..........

Lord, thank you for everyone here at KKIM and the Cup.......thank you for our family Lord. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

The Background

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'
The father who, despite having a heart condition said 'yes..' They went on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.

One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together..' To which, his father said 'yes' too.

For those who don't know, the Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometers) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometers) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometers) marathon along the coast of the Big Island .

Hindrances to our Prayer life...........

Psalm 18 says......If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.

What does iniquity mean.........immoral.....injustice..wickedness in us.........

Pastor Leonard Navarre is conducting this Bible Study for the Men's Group at Valley View Christian Church.......I went thru it this morning..........I want to share with you..........

First Proverbs 1:5.........A wise man will hear and increase learning,

And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel

That is why I am always seeking prayer and counsel from my Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. Not of this World, but of the Lord.........

In James 4:4 I will let you read the whole thing yourself.....but here is part of verse 4...........You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?

What does enmity mean? Hatred....ill will.........

Let me share a part of Pastor Leonard's message with you my dear, dear friends.......

Greetings men:

WOW! What a great Thursday night Men's Bible Study. Great fellowship, some corny jokes, great prayer and outstanding Bible Study. We were striving to get through James 4, but targeted James 4:3. That verse talks about why our prayers go unanswered. We found out that God turns a deaf ear to our prayers when we pray with "selfish motives".

As we studied we found 8 explanations why God is not interested in our prayers. There are reasons that God chooses not to hear and not to answer. Those 8 can be found in the following Bible verses and I will give you the answers at the end of this email.

1) Deuteronomy 1:45; I Samuel 14:37; 28:6
2) Psalm 66:18
3) Proverbs 1:28
4) Proverbs 21:13
5) Proverbs 28:9
6) Zechariah 7:13
7) I Peter 3:7
8) James 4:3

Here's the quote that we talked about Thursday night and some wanted a copy...so here it is. It is taken from Chuck Swindoll's book, "Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life".

"Busyness rapes relationships. It substitutes shallow frenzy for deep friendship. It promises satisfying dreams but delivers hollow nightmares. It feeds the ego but starves the inner man. It fills a calendar but fractures a family."
Footnote from Dewey:
Let me get in here just for a short time and say that is what we are trying to do is have Godly relationships with all. We desire deep deep Christ like relationships with you all. We Open our Door for you!

Now back to Pastor Leonard.........

REMEMBER: "Reaching into the Future" Banquet THIS SUNDAY, 5 PM, at the Edgewood Middle School. THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME. Please make every effort to attend. These are exciting days and God is moving in miraculous ways. As we say at KKIM, "For God's Glory Alone". See you there.

Answers to Hindrances to our Prayer Life:

1) Disobedience
2) Secret (unconfessed) sin
3) Indifference (apathy)
4) neglecting mercy, refusing to help the poor
5) Despising God's commandments and teachings
6) Stubbornness (God calls this "hard heart")
7) Tension in our families, especially with our spouse
8) Selfishness, wrong motives

Three enemies to the advancement of our spiritual life: laziness, affluence and apathy. Let us never forget that we are at war against the evil one. Arm yourself. Ephesians 6

I am praying for you and your families,

Leonard

Here is an update from Karen on her Grandma..............

Quick update and HUGE praise to an AWESOME and Powerful almighty GOD!

At the end of yesterday after her 2nd surgery of 2 hours, that rendered impossible, the doctors called the family in to say their goodbye to grandma, as they were told she only had a slim chance to live.

I struggled in a NEW way...My brother and I still had hope. Not because we are anybody special, just that my grandma earned the right to die at home and we knew God could get her there for a while!

I have been ready for my Grandma to go to heaven for some time, but last night, I couldn't back down from my faith or hope in what God CAN do.

Many people say, "how old is she?" 95 is the answer and the response is okay, then it's time.

My talk with God last night was not with limited vision!

I said to God, "95 years old has absolutely no meaning to you, does it God!"

I spoke to HIM in praise of Abraham's old age and the children that he had!

Today, I just found out the the impossible surgery is done and went well and she should be up drinking clear fluids by today!

This is not a gift for us, although we receive it as one. Heaven is a MUCH better alternative, BUT this is a HUGE Praise to God that can and does all great things, because HE is God!

Never doubt what God can do!

HE tells us to pray!
HE teaches us to have faith!
HE gives us faith!
HE gives us promises!
HE tells us to ask HIM!
HE tells us to just believe!
HE tells us to have HOPE!
HE teaches us that by faith, it is done!

When there is HOPE, there is room for God do work!

God is good! and there is no doubt! He is living and near and powerful!

If my grandma died, I would have still loved God!
If my grandma died, I knew she'd be in Heaven!
BUT God allowed us to ask HIM for her to "keep on living for a while" and HE honored that because HE is God!

SO praise to the KING! Praise to our LORD! Praise to God, the creator of every thing and who gives us something new to look at each and every day!
Today frost on the grass and a different sky! Look for God and HE's there!

Well, just to shout out a praise to God for HIS Glory to shine brightly in a world that trys to dampen HIS light! Let HIM SHINE! LET HIM SHINE! God's glory will shine!

Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe

We are praying Karen!

Part of the Spiritual battle here is that we are seeing right before our eyes the World dying.......We in the meantime need to stand strong for Jesus Christ! Just step away and look.......you can see the battle between light and darkness.......of this world and God..........What was once considered a sin, is now, in many circles accepted.......

Let us hold the line CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

"We need to hold the line" Uncle Joe Moede 94 yrs old Telling me, that we as Christians need to hold the line .........stand for Biblical principles.

Yesterday was an AWESOME day in our LORD..........a day when I was able to spend a lot of time in prayer by myself for 30 min and then with a group from my Church later in the day!

We must be in prayer constantly......Psalm 138, verse 3 says, "As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength"

Let us my friends, not rely on our own wisdom and strength.......

Not our will...THE LORD'S WILL.....

Let us hold the line..........It is work! We must be Watchman on the wall! We must stand for Jesus!

How many more holes does he have to play before he gets to the 18th?

Staff: Golf course, may I help you?
Caller: Yes, do you have a driving range there?
Staff: Yes.
Caller: How much for a large bucket?
Staff: Four dollars.
Caller: Does that include the balls?

Thanks Jerry.........

Today let me share with you this lesson I learned from pastor Ronnie Floyd.........The Lord has been showing me the way........as I walk with Him......The other day he told me, "I have shut that door!" ..........I weeped........I tried to understand........not a bad thing........but I haven't been able to let go since the Lord told me that........I'm still growing........My dad used to tell me, Dwayne, practice what you preach.......Wow and that was years and years ago......and it still holds true for me today.......I am working to absorb all into my heart and soul of what I preach........

Here's what Floyd's lesson was about........

Hang out with God......Ask Him what He wants you to do. If you have any element of desperation or sense of urgency, retreat with Him, entering into days of prayer and fasting. Get yourself to the point spiritually where you can hear what He is saying.

God began to redefine the vision in a new way for me. He use the passage from Habakkuk 2:1-4 to rivet my heart. This passage gives us five principles about vision:

Here is the Bible verses........

I will stand watch

And set myself on the rampart,

And watch to see what He will

say to me,

And what I will answer when I am

corrected.

Then the LORD answered me and said:

"Write the vision

And make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time;

But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come,

It will not tarry.

"Behold the proud,

His soul is not upright in him;

But the just shall live by faith.

AMEN! AMEN! I was crying as I finished typing this.......All what we need is in God's Word and then put it to practice in our lives.

Let me finish up today with this from Pastor Floyd.......

Vision Given: God alone gives the vision.

Vision Written: Write down what God is saying to you.

Vision Declared: Communicate by faith what God has put into your heart. (I say AMEN! That's what I try to do every day here at the CUP and on KKIM.......Communicate by faith what God has put on my heart!)

I do not start out each day thinking I have to do a CUP......it only happens when the Lord nudges me to do so, and HE gives me the words like he does when I preach or I am on KKIM.

Vision Faithed: Trust God via prayer until He fulfills it.

Vision Realized: If God says it, in time HE will do it!

AMEN! PRAISE GOD!

Let us pray..........

Lord thank you for all your love! Thank you for Your Word! In Jesus name, AMEN!

URGENT PRAYER/AND PICTURE PRAISE GOD!!!

Dear KKIM Family,

We have prayer needs............and then at the bottom of this post an AWESOME PICTURE!

first from Karen Rowe and her grandmother...........

Here is an update on Grandma.......

In ICU as of 1:30 last night. They are trying to wean her off of the ventilator and bring her to now. She seems to be doing fine. Praise God!

She's 95 years old! She's tough!

They will have to go back in tomorrow for one more stone in her gall bladder that was lodged in the tube. Doc tried last night for an extra hour, but couldn't get it laprascopically.
It's just another praise to God that Dr Lee took his time to do this surg the easiest way possible for my grandma...he could have just cut her open like he figured he have to do, but he tried and worked really hard for her and God guided his hand and his heart! Another doc may have not been so caring or patient or hard working. So I thank him and God so much for all they've done together!

The stones were so bad that they'd already turned to gang green!
They will go down her throat tomorrow to get the last stone ...either push it out or pull it out???

It's a miracle so far and in God's hands always.

After that one day at a time. Some other issues to deal with later, but for today, she wants to live and God's blessing her hope.
One day she'll go on to be in Heaven with your Nanny and Granny, and my other grandparents and loved ones, but in the LORD's time.

The sweetest thing is that Jesus is on everyone's mind and heart! God is working spiritual miracles through all this...as always! To me, it is so humbling to watch God bring so much good out of a difficult situation. It's all about going to heaven and leaving no one behind, you know!

Thanks for the prayers!

God bless your family!
Karen

We are praying Karen

hey dewey please pray for juliet montoya, my sister,

We will pray for Juliet, Clarence!
Hi Dewey,

I won't keep you long, but I just heard about all the strides we are making in the Legislature....praise God all our efforts (no matter if they are praying, calling, writing, emailing, sitting in on committees) is yielding some very godly results...woohoo!!

I enjoyed working the KKIM table this past weekend with you, Dustin, Michelle, and Mark. What fun it was to meet new people and reconnect with old acquaintances. I am looking forward to emceeing my friend, Doreen Hannah's, book release event in Santa Fe this Saturday. She has a book that Focus on the Family released in January, Becoming a Modern Day Princess, which has already sold 13,000 copies!! It is a rite of passage of teen girls and it is powerful stuff!!!

There may be a lot of darkness trying to overtake the world, but I rejoice in all Light that is penetrating places only God can reach through all His willing vessels!!!

Thanks for being one of vessels, Dewey!!! You and KKIM. Here are some words of one of my favorite Newsboys songs:

And all the powers of darkness
Tremble at what they’ve just heard
‘Cause all the powers of darkness
Can’t drown out a single word

When all God’s children sing out
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
All God’s people singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

Let's keep doing what we can to make the powers of darkness tremble!!!!

Shona

Thanks Shona for those AWESOME words! What an encouragement!

And Now.........Thanks to Franchesca for sending.........

Look what's still standing in HAITI. Everything around it destroyed!!!

Whaaaaaaaaat a testimony!

PRAYER NEED KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM family,

One of the blessings here at the CUP and KKIM is brining people together.....see today's earlier CUP....reaching out to all.......

We hear from people from all over......We are non-denominational........I love it when we penetrate the Roundhouse.......when we reach the elected officials of our state...I love it when they reach out to us.........We try and have the eye's of Jesus......being a Democrat or Republican means nothing to us.........being a person of Jesus does.........

Satan loves METH! Satan loves that it is killing people and families.......One of those folks out there fighting everyday to get the word out on this awful drug is Patty of The Attorney General's Office here in New Mexico........She has such a Godly passion for this.........it ties right in with the CUP this morning........Patty is asking for prayer..........

Good morning Dewey..Thank you for the inspiration.
I will be traveling to Las Cruces today. I have a Meth Awareness Presentation which will be televised Thursday at 10:00 am live. Channel 20 Government Access Channel. Please ask for prayer..attacks from the evil force are coming in heavily. Happens every time. Satan and his armies don't want this information out.
Patricia
God bless you and Sharon

We will keep you in prayer Patty and also Attorney general Gary King as you folks lead this effort in our state.

ps....Charles Stanley is doing as series this week on taking care of your temple. It is our Godly duty to do so.

ps If you would like Patty to make her presentation to your Church or organization just email me and I will keep you in touch. Patty has been a great resource for us.

God Bless, Dewey and Sharon

Wed CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Let us all ask God to help us pour our lives into things that "moths and rust cannot destroy" (Matt. 6:20) Thank God that we will one day not only see Jesus but also be like Him. (1 John 3:2)

From Pastor Leonard............

The formula for peaceful living:
Fret not – God loves you
Faint not – God holds you
Fear not – God keeps you

Philippians 4:6, 7 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.” (LB)

I am praying for you and your families,

Leonard

Here's a couple of notes that we have received............
Praise God for KKIM and Dewey. We were able to stop domestic partnership because Christians in this state were willing to pray, stand and take action so that we could protect marriage between one man and one woman . I praise God for KKIM and the voice they representative.

Thank you for doing what God has called you to do. "Be a light to the Nation".

Nora Espinoza

State Representative

Hi Dewey,
I thought you would like to know that the community bulletin board at the Ole Mill Cafe in Estancia, NM, how has a KKIM poster advertising "Nuggets of Truth." You can't miss it. Awesome!

Pastor Don

By the way Frank says Brooke is doing much better! PRAISE GOD!

Please pray for Pastor Mark Tross he is ill.

It's always great to hear from you all...........We are here to serve..........not to be served........

With all the honey coming our way......Sharon and myself........we say for God's Glory Alone! We Boast in God's Goodness!!!! Let us work at turning our lives completely over to serving the Lord. I am still working on that.........

Let us not get a big EGO! EGO stands for Edging God Out!!!!!!

As you know my favorite verse is........

My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus Acts 20:24

I really try and not do anything stupid everyday..........

I am thinking of having Sandy print T-Shirts up....on the front it would say "Don't do anything stupid today" and on the back it would say, "I am Following Jesus".......What do you think? Would you order one? Any ideas?

Let me share this from Andy Hawthorne in Hope Unleashed.........

Jesus came out of the desert in the power of the Spirit, to read Isaiah 61 in the synagogue. The Bible tells us that every eye was fastened on Him. I reckon all the little kids went quiet; even the goats and chickens were silenced as He read today's Bible verse:

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free."

For the next couple of years these words drove him forward, leaving the synagogue and embarking upon the most extraordinary mission the world has ever seen.

If these words helped define the model that Jesus worked to, then surely they ought to have some kind of impact on our lives, as we try to follow Jesus. So it is good to ask questions about how much the poor, the prisoners, and the oppressed fit into our plans. Can we find those people near us? Have they experienced firsthand our bold preaching, great acts of kindness, sacrifice, and service? Are they more aware of the miraculous nature of God because of our presence?

WOW! What a wonderful devotional today! PRAISE GOD!

What drives you?

Let us pray...........

Lord, we pray that our concerns today be about cultivating a calm and quiet soul as we trust You, our Heavenly Father with the profound matters of life. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Monday AM CUP!!! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Peace and Strength of our Lord be with you and yours!

I started a new study yesterday and I wanted to share with you.........

Please pray before reading this CUP.........Let your mind at ease now and give it all to God........

Wrong motives are dangerous killers because they're silent and hard to detect. They can easily ruin something (like your Family, Church or business) they can ruin something that started out so wonderful!!!

Ask God to show you any wrong motives you may be harboring so that you can confess them to Him and take steps to deal with them.

Paul, My hero! I crashed and burned like him! Then gave my life to God!

Paul wrote while he was in prison..........

"Don't just look out for your own interests, but look out for the interests of others as well. That's what Jesus did, and you should strive to be like Him not only in your actions but in your attitudes," Paul stated. "For even though Jesus is God, He humbled Himself and came to earth, willing to take the form of a human. In doing this, He set aside all His privileges and honor as God's Son. Even though Jesus knew that His actions would mean suffering, being mocked, being misunderstood, and eventually being killed, He did it anyway. he didn't do it for personal gain. Instead, He did it for us. He did it out of love.

"Therefore," Paul concluded, "since Jesus, being God, could humble Himself to become a servant, do we dare to think that we're somehow above such things? may it never be! Let us not do things from selfish ambition, wrong motives, or for our own personal comfort or gain. Instead, let us have the same attitude as Christ Jesus our Lord------the attitude of humility."

This new study I am doing is from Jackie Perseghetti's, "Faith Factor"

By the way what Paul is speaking about is such a problem in our society today....even in the Church!

Chuck Swindoll on KKIM this morning quoted Fmr Notre Dame Football Coach Lou Holtz who said, "Twenty five years ago people talked
about fulfilling their obligations........today all people talk about it seems in their rights!"

There is a lot of TRUTH in that!!!

This past weekend, at the Weekend To Remember, I had a lot of honey poured into my soul by many.......Thanking me for KKIM and the CUP........It is not me........it is not me........I am just trying to do what the Lord has told me to do........I am just trying not to do anything stupid each day........Sharon and I are here to serve..not to be served.........I pray to the Lord each day as to what He wants me to do.......How I try to live my life is just what Paul wrote about.........serving........

Wrong motives ruin great things...........

I have to say after talking to so many of you.....there is a strong disconnect going on in our State Government here in New Mexico with the Majority of the State Legislators. They can not identify or feel the pain of the common folk like you and me! The majority of the State Legislators have the wrong motives in life. Most of Today's Politicians are disconnected from the common folk! They don't feel the pain........wrong motives.......Look for the ones that feel the pain and have a plan........and are Godly!

Most Politicians look for the friendliest crowd........a Pep rally........they do not want to face the real people and our hurts!

I want to just mention this....there is a lovely lady from Brazil who lives in Albuquerque and she listens to KKIM everyday and reads the CUP........She told me that she took the CUP on Responsibility of Men and re-wrote it in Portuguese and sent it to her brother in Brazil.

We never know what the Lord is going to do with our messages we put out........that is why we must pray for His Will to be done in all that we do. In all that we do.....We must have Godly motives!

Thanks to you all who came up and introduced yourselves.........very thankful for your fellowship!!!

Let me leave you with this funny bone that Karen Rowe tweeted to me today.......about her son Daniel........

Daniel came to tell me of his mischief, "mom, remember, love is patient and love is kind, now I need to show you something." : ) 1 Cor 13

LOL! LOL! LOL!

Let us pray................

Lord, Thank you for all those who attended the Weekend To Remember marriage Conference......We pray for their marriages........we pray more will even come next year.In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

I am going to meet with Doug today of Family Life Today and we are going to go over this years conference and start planning for next year. If you are willing to help with this project just email me.

Sunday Morning CUP News, Prayer, Praise KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Happy Valentines Day!

Stand against that which is wrong, show why it is wrong, overcome it and plant truth in its place. (A.W.) Tozer

"So, couldn't you stay awake with Me one hour? Stay awake and pray, so that you won't enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matt. 26:40-41

Here are the words of President Lincoln....this was found in his personal notes.......in his own hand writing.........

"It is more pleasing to God to see His people study Him and His will directly than spend the first and chief of their efforts attaining comfort for themselves."

When you deeply study the life of President Lincoln you find that he was a man who prayed as though he knew God heard him.

He was no sentimentalist-----he was a man's man right down to his boots. After he committed something to his Father in heaven, that was it. It didn't seem to trouble him anymore.

He trusted God and got on with things.

More on President Lincoln and prayer here at the CUP later..........As we as a Country celebrate Presidents Day tomorrow.

We have over 500 folks here at the Weekend To Remember! PRAISE GOD Thank you for praying for these friends who are focusing this weekend on their marriage..your prayers mean so much!

It is so AWESOME to visit with the members of the KKIM Family that are attending! PRAISE GOD!

Let us now go into prayer..........

PRAISE NOTE!!!

Dewey,

Yesterday afternoon, the Dr. decided to removed the ventilator, and all mouth and nose tubes. Brooke is breathing on her own very well, with a very tiny face mask for oxygen. Now that she is awake, she is coming off the heavy sedation drugs and will probably have a form of "withdrawal". Please pray that this does not take too lone. We are so glad she is doing better. There is no word on how much longer she will have to be in the Hosp. I'm guessing at least another week. The next few days will be critical. Her lung is still healing, as long as she breaths well, she'll be able to stay off the ventilator. Thanks for all your prayers. Our God has worked another miracle in her life. Praise be to Jesus, for God's Glory Alone!!

Praise God! please keep praying..........

Pastor Jim Montoya passes along to us this prayer need........Thank you all for your prayers!

Dewey.
Please pray for Pastor Artie from The Worship Center Church of God in
Artesia, NM, who has the flu. He recently received a liver transplant
and is having complications. Pastor Artie and Deb are in the final
phase of their building project.
Pray for his healing and completion of the project.
God Bless, Pastor Jim

Our Friend Ed Moore of www.wfrn.com wanted to share this letter sent to him.......

Excerpt from the YWAM leader who ministers in St. Marc, Haiti

"We feel strongly to call the nations to pray and intercede for Haiti during these 3 days of prayer, repentance, and fasting that started this morning. We feel it will be the deciding factor for Haiti ’s future; will they choose repentance and God or go back to their old ways and not heed the call and the warnings. I would not like to think about what would happen if they did choose the latter…

"Everything is closed today and people are all working their way to the park!! It is so full that you can no longer get in. All the roads around it are filled... They are worshipping and praying; pastors are leading them but...could not hear what they were saying as there are so many people there. They have set up a stage to the right of the pavilion and have a worship band there.

"... (at) the corner by the arena (is) where the witchdoctor lives. He was dragging all his voodoo stuff out; he had dug it up in this yard and collected it from around his house, and was dragging it with him to the park to get rid of it all! He was telling people who were watching that he was going to give it all up."

Excerpt from an American radio engineer who has visited Haiti many times:

I think that I will remember this day as one of the most significant in my life, not because of what I did, but for it's meaning. In fact, what I did today was insignificant, and may have even distracted from me fully engaging in the day.

Today was the one month anniversary of the great Haitian earthquake.

About 3 days ago the Haitian president announced that there would be 3 days of holiday from work for the purpose of fasting and prayer. This is absolutely historic. If you have ever been in Haiti as a visitor or missionary, could you ever have imagined such a pronouncement? Could you image such an announcement from the U.S. president. This morning I saw a young Haitian-American woman, the leader of a work team, crying because the Americans could not understand the incredible importance of this day and wanted to go about business as usual. Remember, it was only about 6 years ago that a former Haitian president called the nation to come together to rededicate the nation to Satan.

This was not "a minute of silence for the deceased" or something as equally insignificant. Whatever the president might have originally intended, this because a real commitment for the Haitian people. As I sit here this evening, I can hear the preaching coming from a nearby church. Services have been going on all day.

Peniel and I had planned an inspection trip up to the Artibonite Valley today. Right or Wrong, I don't really know, but since it was the only opportunity, we went ahead with the trip. As we left the guest house about 7:30 am, we were met by throngs of well dressed people headed to various churches. The sounds of Christian music and worship filled the air everywhere. The next observation was that there was NO traffic. Port-au-Prince streets are always clogged and overflowing with bumper to bumper traffic. This morning there were only a few vehicles on the roads, a few small buses (tap taps), some UN and military vehicles, and a few private cars. We had clear sailing through town. The same was true of foot traffic. Usually the streets are clogged also with people walking. Today there were only a few and many of them dressed for church. The only place that there were traffic blocks was in front of several churches where the congregations had overflowed the buildings, and the yards and had moved out into the streets as well.

The next observation was that EVERYTHING was closed! We could not find even one business or gas station open. There were no intercity buses running. Whereas the sidewalks are usually overflowing with millions of street venders, we only saw a few here and there. The huge outdoor market near the wharf where thousands work each day and spread out to cover most of the street, was EMPTY.

Where were all the people? They were in churches and makeshift meeting sites. Every church (except a JW church) had services going on, almost always overflowing into the streets. Beside broken down churches, services were taking place outside. In homeless camps, there were services. Everywhere the nation was gathered to worship and pray. No, I did not see any voodoo, Islamic, or buddaist services. This scene was repeated in every town and hamlet that we passed during the day.

Tonight, Pastor Ignace, who is sharing the room with me, asked this question: "Can people still say that Haiti is a voodoo country?" What has been happening and is continuing to happen in Haiti did not happen because of the earthquake. It has been happening because the Haitian people know how to pray. This is a tremendous outpouring of God's power as the result of prayer. Twenty years ago I started praying for the Gospel to change the Haitian culture. I think that I am seeing God do that work.

The only sadness that I feel today is for our own nation. While a nation that has long been under Satan's domination is turning to God with total commitment, our nation, founded on Godly values has rejected God and rapidly trying to forget that his name even exists. Let us pray for revival.

Jerry

We are praying for Revival!!!!!!!! We also are praying for Revival in the United

States!!!

Pastor Leonard Navarre who just recently returned from India passes this need of prayer to us.........

Dear Leonard,

I received the following message from Ajai regarding the death of CICM evangelist Emmanuel Namro.

“I have talked to one of the preachers who has been working closely with Emmanuel Namro. Emmanuel was killed yesterday in a road accident as he was traveling with his family to visit his in-laws. There were 4 others who were killed with him as the truck he was traveling in hit a tree and the driver was driving with an extreme speed. His wife and one of the children had minor injuries. This morning his funeral took place around 11 a.m.”

You may remember Emmanuel from your visit to India. He usually gives his testimony to the American visitors. Here is a link to a video of Emmanuel sharing his testimony: https://www.box.net/shared/nehgzk8ghl. We want to thank Tim Liston from New Hope Church for recording the video and providing the narration.

Please be in prayer for Emmanuel’s wife and his children as they cope with the loss of their husband and father.

Serving Him,

We are praying!!!!!!!!

As we recall how President Lincoln, and President Washington led our Country..................and the prayer life of both...........let us close with this scripture.........

WEEKEND CUP OF PRAISE/THANKS KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

AMEN! PRAISE GOD!!

I love to make new friends in the Lord...and yesterday was one of those days..KKIM Ministry sponsor Ben Lucero had told me about his Pastor, Pastor Dennis Dunn and others like Pastor Larry Moss have spoken so highly of him. Well yesterday I got to have a CUP with Dennis, even thou he did not have any coffee! LOL!

But what we had was such a Godly conversation!

Pastor Dunn shared the following scriptures with me..........

here's for your peace my friends........be still.........

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the almighty,

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;

My God, in Him I will trust."

That is Psalm 91: 1-2 WOW! under the shadow of the Almighty........I picture peace and coverage in the Lord........

I also picture myself going into my room and being still and praying to the Lord.......and listening....

Psalm 27: 1

The Lord is my light and my salvation;

Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is my strength of my life;

Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 37: 1-2

Do not fret because of evildoers,

Nor be envious of the workers of

iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like

the grass,

And wither as the green herb.

By this time I am just bathing in the word of our Lord.........

Psalm 34:19

Many are the afflictions of the

righteous,

But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

AMEN! AMEN! Thanks to Pastor Dennis Dunn of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Albuquerque for sharing. Please pray for KKIM and Pastor Dennis Dunn as we put before the Lord ........about Pastor Dennis doing a program on KKIM...Please pray for Eric and Christ as they prepare to do a program on KKIM......We pray about adding Godly programming to the radio Ministry. We let the Lord lead the way. Please pray with us.

We must go forward......ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS!!!!

If anyone knows where I can get a CD the old great songs like........ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS will you let me know......??? Please and Thank you!

I am just thrilled to know ends the people God continues to put in my life! WOW! How blessed Sharon and I are to be surrounded by such Godly people........When we do that we will reduce greatly making stupid mistakes in our lives. I keep talking to the kids about common sense......common sense is on vacation in a lot of the country.....we as God's people need to stay close together and pray.......and fellowship together.

I hardly even hear people speak on common sense anymore...Why? because there are now so many different versions of common sense..it means different things to people......or nothing at all.

I just get thrilled when we hear from folks we have prayed for!!!!!!!!!

Here is an update from Cherie!!! It's so hard to believe that it has been two years already!!!!!!!

As we read this together let us PRAISE and GIVE THANKS to our LORD!!!

Thank you Dewey for your encouragement and faithfulness. I pray often
for you and Sharon and family. Today is the 2 year anniversary of
when Amy was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. How wonderful to
be reminded "Behold I am the Lord God of all flesh. Is there anything
too hard for me?." Jeremiah 32/27 Praise God she is doing well, is a
survivor, will continue to fight, still a woman of great faith and
knows that God is walking with her. I am truly blessed , grateful and
privileged to be her mom. I know God has his hand on our lives. It is
amazing what Jesus does in chemo rooms! Amy met her dear friend Emily
in the chemo room. As they would visit and talk Emily, who was not a
believer, had a desire to know more, came to church with Amy when she
could physically handle it and accepted Jesus just before her death
from her 3rd round with cancer. One of Emily's fears was that no one
would remember her after her death. She was never married and had no
children. I think she would chuckel to know what an impact she had on
our church and those who witnessed her transformation. She will be in
our hearts and minds for a long, long time and not be forgotten. God
blessed us all by allowing us to be part of her life during her last
months.

ALSO....have a wonderful time at the NRB. I will miss seeing so many
of my business associates and friends. My clients were such a gift in
my life. God had other plans for me and I know that so clearly now.
So many, many, wonderful radio people! I am blessed to still be in
contact with you! Love, Cherie Snow

Thank you so much Cherie!!! Let us all continue to pray for each other and our families.

I have not received an update on Nicholas........please keep praying.

Little Brooke has been in ICU for 3 weeks.......she is resting and sedated. Frank wants to thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for all those attending the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference this weekend. Stop by the KKIM table and say Hi please.

As many of you know I host NM News and Views daily on KKIM. Not only do we give out the news that effects the Christian way of life, God gave us this time to pray with our public officials.......what a blessing......last night we prayed with Secretary of state Mary Herrera.

Praying on the radio!!!! WOW!!!!! Praying with Public officials!!!!!!!!

We just PRAISE GOD for the opportunity!

Let us pray...........

Lord, we give You thanks and praise!!! We pray for the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference, that all attending will have their heart, mind, and soul in tune with Your Word. We pray for the needs presented here at the cup today. Thank you for our new friend Pastor Dunn. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Peace and Strength of our Lord be with You and Yours!

Here is a Call to us all.............

Let us not cease to do the utmost, that we may increasingly go forward in the way of the Lord. -John Calvin

Remember:

Who you are is more important than what you do.

"For in Him the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority" Col. 2:9-10

Remember EGO stands for Edging God Out!

Don't get stuck inside your own ego, because it will become a prison in no time flat. -Barbara Ward

This is a HUGE WEEKEND with the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference..Hope to see you there.........come by the KKIM table and say hi!

We had a lot of fun with Rachael of www.cuttingedgeflowers.com in Santa Fe on NM News and Views yesterday as she shared her walk with Jesus Christ and how God has worked wonders in her marriage. We also gave away a $50.00 gift certificate from Cutting Edge Flowers! Congrats to Cheryl from Los Alamos who won!!!! I know first hand how wonderful Cutting Edge Flowers are.as Rachael put together a beautiful dozen of white roses for Sharon and delivered them to her yesterday at the Hospital in Santa Fe where Sharon works!

Guys, Have you sent your wife flowers? Your daughters?

Happy Valentines Day to you all!

Please be in prayer for Nicholas today as he undergoes brain surgery to remove a tumor.

Frank's granddaughter Brooke, is improving ever so slightly, please keep her in your prayers.

I would like to share with you my column for the www.windomnews.com

Are you hearing God?

All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14: 25-26

And then I would pray that you would read John 16:7-15.

Jesus in all these verses shares with us about the person of the Holy Spirit. He is our Counselor, our Teacher, and the Truth-Teller. The World needs to hear the Truth folks! His voice will convict you of sin and guide you into truth. He will remind you of everything Jesus said while He was on earth. The Holy Spirit always and only brings glory to Jesus. It is His role and responsibility to make known to you what Jesus wants you to know.

Now, are you listening?

Is the Holy Spirit living in you?

Some people get a little nervous when I ask them if God has ever talked to them!

Let me explain it this way.......The Closer you walk with Jesus.....the more you will know His ways.

In a good marriage, a Husband and Wife learn really after awhile to know what each other is thinking, same with a Father and Mother, with our children, we know what they are thinking before anything is said.

In our relationship with Jesus Christ, the closer we walk with HIM the more we will hear HIM.....he sends the Holy Spirit to live in us. To guide us through life.

Let me share this with you..........

I spoke at a Men's breakfast on Saturday Feb 6th in Moriarty, NM for Valley View Christian Church. We have an upcoming Marriage Conference Valentines Day Weekend, "The Weekend to Remember"

The Lord had me hanging on to one last certificate to give away for this Conference.

I was going to give it away on the radio.........I also had offered it to a couple, but they hadn't gotten back to me. I felt the Lord was telling me to hang onto it and take it to the Men's Breakfast in Moriarty.

When I opened up my presentation to the Men that day I began sharing about the Upcoming Marriage Conference and that the Lord had told me to bring a Certificate to the Conference with me and if anybody in the crowd would like to go with their wife and cannot afford it, you can have it.......and right away the Lord had me make eye contact with a young man in a black cowboy hat and he had tears in his eyes and was shy about raising his hand, he kind'a waved his finger at me.......I knew the Lord wanted him and his wife to have this.

This was the first time he had ever came to the Men's Breakfast and he had just married for the fourth time. The Holy Spirit was moving in his life also.

I knew then, that is why I drove to Moriatry, New Mexico that day to speak at that men's breakfast and had held onto that Certificate for so long......Now what would have happened if I had not listened to God?

Time is short.the Weekend To Remember marriage Conference is this weekend...go to www.mykkim.com and get going on your marriage! KKIM will have a booth..stop by and say hi!
Biblical Marriage - Part of God's Family
by Rick Warren

For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them. Matthew 18:20 (TEV)

Any successful marriage is built upon the biblical truth that God designed each of us with five purposes in mind: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and missions.
Until you realize you and your mate were placed together for God's purposes, then your marriage will be difficult, complicated, and exhausting. But once you understand God's plan, your marriage takes on new meaning.

You and your spouse were formed for God's family. God made an incredible promise about the gathering of even just two believers: "For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them." (Matthew 18:20, TEV)

So if both you and your spouse are believers, God is already in your marriage working to transform the two of you into a purpose driven family!

Your marriage is a lab for learning how to love like Jesus loves. Within marriage, God has created an opportunity for us to develop a true intimacy and authenticity with another human being.

To go this deep requires genuine, heart-to-heart, gut-level sharing, where you and your spouse get honest about who you are and what's happening in your lives. This happens when you both share your hurts, reveal your feelings, confess your failures, disclose your doubts, admit your fears, acknowledge your weaknesses, and ask each other for help and prayer.

Let us pray, Lord we pray for all those couples that will be attending the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference this weekend......we pray that they will be open to receiving the Holy Spirit into their marriage. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

Are We On The Verge Of An Economic War With Russia And China?
Has our exploding national debt become an economic weapon of mass destruction in the hands of the Russians and the Chinese? Have increasing tensions between East and West put us on the verge of an economic war with those two superpowers? Those who are convinced that the Russians and Chinese would never work together to collapse the U.S. economy should really consider what former U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is saying in his new book. Paulson's new book is entitled "On The Brink", and in it he claims that the Russians contacted the Chinese in 2008 and proposed that both nations dump their Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bonds at the same time in a bid to force a bailout of the largest U.S. mortgage-finance companies by the U.S. government. Fortunately, China declined to go along with Russia's proposal at the time, but this revelation just underscores the economic danger that the United States has gotten itself into.
You see, if the Chinese and the Russians had done that, it would have set off mass panic in the financial markets. It would have been an unmitigated economic disaster.
Due to our greed and our reckless spending, we have gotten ourselves into a situation where China and Russia have a tremendous amount of leverage on us.
Near the end of 2009, China owned U.S. Treasuries worth approximately $789 billion, and Russia owned U.S. Treasuries worth approximately $128 billion.
If China and Russia decided to dump their Treasuries in unison it could literally devastate the U.S. economy. Already the Federal Reserve is having to "purchase" the vast majority of all new U.S. Treasuries. The talking heads on the cable networks claim that this kind of "Ponzi scheme" by the Fed cannot continue indefinitely, but the U.S. government is continuing to spend recklessly and nobody else is stepping up to buy our new debt. So what would happen if China and Russia suddenly decided to dump nearly a trillion in U.S. Treasuries on the market?
Don't think that it can't happen.
Already, the Chinese government has reportedly ordered its reserve managers to dump all "riskier securities" and to hold on to only U.S. Treasuries and U.S. agency debt that comes with an implicit or an explicit U.S. government guarantee.
So is this a prelude to even more dumping to come?
The truth is that tensions between the United States and China are escalating rapidly....
*Barack Obama recently promised to get "tough on trade" with China, and the Chinese government responded to that notion very angrily.
*Senior Chinese military officers have suggested that the Chinese government should sell some U.S. bonds to punish the U.S. government for the latest round of arms sales to Taiwan.
*Barack Obama has attempted to pressure Chinese President Hu Jintao to raise the value of the Yuan, but the Chinese are not giving an inch. In fact, there are reports that the Chinese regard Obama as weak.
*The Chinese government is reportedly extremely upset that the White House has announced that Obama will meet with the Dalai Lama in the next few weeks.
The vast majority of the American people have no idea what is going on, but the truth is that the Chinese people, and especially the Chinese military and the Chinese government, are very pissed at us. Just consider the following quotes....
Luo Yuan, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Military Sciences:
"Our retaliation should not be restricted to merely military matters, and we should adopt a strategic package of counter-punches covering politics, military affairs, diplomacy and economics to treat both the symptoms and root cause of this disease."
Chinese Major-General Yang Yi:
"This time China must punish the U.S."
Huang Xiangyang, a commentator in the China Daily newspaper:
"When someone spits on you, you have to get back."
Nationalism is surging right now in China, and attitudes toward the West and toward the United States are taking a turn for the worse.
In facat, one new poll taken in China recently has revealed that more than half of Chinese citizens now believe that China and America are heading for a new cold war.
But China was so weak a few decades ago.
How could this happen?
That sad thing is that we have done this to ourselves.
It was us who allowed the Chinese to artificially keep their currency so low for so long.
It was us who struck highly imbalanced trade agreements with them.
It was us who allowed our corporations to shut down factories in the U.S. and open them up in China.
It was us who insisted on "free trade" with China even as the human rights abuses over there continued to get worse.
It was us who kept running out to the big box stores to keep buying cheap Chinese-made products when we could have bought more American-made products.
It was us who kept voting for politicians who promoted "globalism" and "free trade agreements" when we should have known that globalism would ultimately have some very painful consequences.
It was us who kept giving China access to advanced military technology and allowed Chinese generals to sleep over at the White House.
It was us who kept pumping money into China and then asking them for loans when we knew all along that they were one of our biggest strategic enemies.
It was us that has allowed China to become the second-largest economy and the number one exporter in the entire world.
If it was not for the stupidity of the United States, the biggest Communist nation on earth, China, would not be an economic and military powerhouse today.
But it is.
And we did it.
In addition, most analysts in the United States seriously underestimate Russia.
Russia (not Saudi Arabia) is now the number one oil exporter in the world. Their economy has been humming like a machine for most of the past decade, and they are rapidly modernizing and expanding their military. Russia has made it known that they intend to play a major role in world affairs and that they do not intend to be pushed around by someone like Barack Obama.
The sad thing is that the majority of economic talking heads on the cable channels are still convinced that Russia and China will never use the economic time bombs that we have put into their hands.
They are convinced that they would be "shooting themselves in the feet" by taking us down.
While that may be true, the truth is that there comes a time when other matters become much more important than losing money on some investments.
For both Russia and China, the United States is still the number one strategic enemy out there. They do not look at the United States as a true friend. If it comes to a point where it suits their purposes to pull the trigger on an economic war with us, then that is exactly what they will do.

"When discipline joins focus, you can change your world, and we all need to be world changers." Pastor Ronnie Floyd

More from Pastor Floyd.........

Who Am I?

In Jesus Christ,

I am chosen miraculously, accepted completely,

forgiven freely, planned providentially,

and rich spiritually.

Go to Ephesians 1:3-14, take it apart, maintain balance, and learn who you are in Christ. It will change everything about you.

Remember: "So, couldn't you stay awake with Me one hour? Stay awake and pray, so that you won't enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" Matt 26:40-41

We have been talking a lot of about Marriage and Family on KKIM more of late since the Weekend To remember is coming this weekend to New Mexico. You can still register at www.mykkim.com. The Lord put on my heart months ago to start the year our focusing on prayer, marriages and family.

We have tried to do that here at KKIM and the CUP.

The older I get I realize the importance of surrounding yourself with, what I call Spiritual Giants......Men and Women who walk with you in your daily walk with Jesus Christ.

Sharon and I have so many SPIRITUAL GIANTS in our life....more than ever. We must not try to walk alone..we will fall.......in times like this God's people need to be together arm in arm and in prayer and worship together!

As this army of God........think of an army of love and mercy and accountability........marches on we must grab onto those who are hurting!

What is a Spiritual GIANT?

Men and Women who STAND TALL in the eyes of our Lord who put on the Armor of God each day and carry out the Great Commission of total submission to our Lord.

Read this comment from a wife.............

I wanted to tell you that I feel so positive about Steve wanting to make changes in his life! My hope and prayer is that he will be “born again” during this transformation.

Let us all pray for Steve.

Let us hold him up in prayer!

This is why I am here.........and I believe you are reading this..........to serve others.......

The family of KKIM and the CUP! What a blessing! Pastor Don Kimbro told me in Willard, NM a small town of about 240 folks, they have a poster in the Post Office and City Hall encouraging people to listen to KKIM and Nuggets of Truth!!

It is such a Godly privilege to be of service to our Lord and His people.

Now let me share with you a Spiritual Giant........Kitty who serves our youth....who serves at Son Broadcasting.......who serves our Lord in mighty ways...........

I have had such a burden to pray for you and your family here during the past week....I hope all is ok.

You asked about chocolate info to place on your Daily Cup....I have listed below a few of my Kitty's Daily Chocolate Nuggets that I place on my FaceBook wall each weekday morning. Hope these will work. If not let me know.

Did you know that not all chocolate is created equal? Most commercial chocolate is "dutched" or alkalized, which degrades the majority of its antioxidant content.

Newsweek reports "Research suggests chocolate to be good for you." Dr. Warren: "Xocai (chocolate) products are prepared with a patented cold-processing system (not dutching) that preserves cacao's (raw chocolate) precious antioxidant agents." Want to know more?

Consuming a cocoa-enriched diet slows free radical damage in gum tissues and slows the activity of the bacteria most responsible for tooth decay. Have you eaten your Xocai chocolate today?

chronic inflammation is a primary contributor in cardiovascular disease, dementia, diabetes, fibromyalgia. The extremely high antioxidant content in Xocai chocolate in many cases helps bring inflammation down by a significant amount. Did you have your Xocai chocolate at breakfast this morning?

diabetic-friendly dark Belgian Chocolate? Yes!!! Instead of the refined sugars common to most commercial products, Xocai's products use low-glycemic sweetners such as raw cane juice, crystalline fructose.

Did you know that cacao beans contain over 300 chemically indentifiable compounds making it one of the most complex food substances on earth....unprocessed, raw cacao is packed with potent antioxidants called flavonoids.

And now, in this corner Xe, the new energy drink! Xocai's proprietary cold-pressed cacao (chocolate) fuels X's energy boost. The world's #1 antioxidant food promotes cellular metabolism which is at the heart of the energy dilemma and is actually healthy for you, won't spike your metabo...lism up with a huge crash after. Hmmm...I saw one around here somewhere....

God Bless you! Kitty

Thanks Kitty. Congrats to Phil and Marilyn who won the basket's of Love from Kitty!

Email me if you would like to contact Kitty!

Let us now hear from John Robb.........

“The greatest impact any of us can have on Christ’s global cause is to be involved in consistent prayer for the whole world and to teach other Christians how to pray this way.” – David Bryant

Dear Friends,
The North America Prayer Summit, Feb. 10-14, will begin tomorrow on an island about 30 minutes offshore from Vancouver, Canada. It will bring together prayer and ministry leaders from all three nations of our region- Mexico, Canada and the USA- at a time when all three nations and our region face some huge challenges. May we ask your support in prayer as the Spirit leads you during the next few days for this important event?
Here is what Murray Dodds, our host and summit coordinator, writes about the significance of our first three regional summits: “Throughout these times we have established core relationships, learned from each other what the Lord has been doing in each nation, shared significant spiritual needs of the nations and then, with agreed upon spiritual authority, prayed for each nation. It has been interesting to see how some of us, since we began, have been able to maintain relationships and meet at other events over the years to join in other Kingdom spiritual initiatives around the world. The Lord is certainly continuing to build his Kingdom team by connecting ministries through~prayer, worship and the development of relationships.”Our focus for this time near Vancouver will be centered on these areas of concern:
~
The North~America~Region and our three nations: Mexico, Canada and the USA- discerning and praying forth what we believe is the Lord’s destiny for our region and also interceding for our individual nations with the unique challenges each of them now face?

The 2010 Olympics- we will pray for this global event and during the opening ceremonies and sporting events happening nearby.

The global economic situation- how we need to intercede for the world’s political and economic leaders as they grapple with this worrying conundrum!

The World Prayer Assembly scheduled for 2012- we will discuss, seek feedback and pray for His guidance together as plans are being made for this event with potential representation from all 220 nations. It could be used of the Lord to release a tsunami of global, interconnected prayer towards His glory filling the whole earth!

Please pray for the following for us:

For traveling mercies for all as we fly and take both ground and sea transportation to and from the island venue near Vancouver.

For His unity, clarity and anointing for all of us who participate and for those who will speak and facilitate sessions. Especially pray for Murray Dodds and Sara Maynard who are taking leadership and for the other Canadians who are so graciously making all the arrangements.

For the Lord’s guidance and discernment to be in sync with Him so that our prayers will be on target for all three nations and for the regional and international issues we focus on. May this be an Acts 13 experience of clearly hearing His voice together and doing what He wants us to do!

For a wonderful time of fellowship in the Spirit, building relationships for the extension of His Kingdom in the future.

Another ongoing request- please keep the situation in Haiti in prayer as the nation seeks to recover from the devastating earthquake and for the very challenging relief and rehabilitation effort underway that aid will reach all who need it as expeditiously as possible. May Haiti turn away from Voodoo and come wholeheartedly to the Lord through this catastrophe, finding its unique calling as a nation!

Thanks so much for backing us in this way. It will make all the difference!

Yours in Christ,

John Robb

Here's a funny bone for you...........but true..........this made me stop in my tracks..........

"Would love for you to speak up here but everyone who knew you is either old or dead!" LOL! LOL!

I couldn't stop laughing!

made me feel really OLD!!! LOL!!!!

As my dad used to say.......here are a couple of things for you to chew on awhile.......

A problem is something that can be solved. A fact of life is something that must be accepted. Know the difference. John Maxwell

Sometimes we turn to God when OUR FOUNDATIONS ARE SHAKING only to find that it is God who is shaking them.

Okay.....I am going to date myself again!!! Sweet Adelines ,Sharing songs and sisterhood since 1945 read about it and other inspiring news at www.americanprofile.com I love these folks they put the Cross right on the cover of their magazine every week.

Welcome Charles Freitag of Hutchinson, Minnesota! A new friend who joins us at the Cup everyday!

Also Angel Murchison host of Destiny Moments on KKIM Fridays at 2:30, in the last month or so has heard from listeners from Africa and Canada! Praise God for KKIM streaming Audio at www.mykkim.com

We have this prayer need............

Dewey,

My daughter is doing much better, Praise God. Thank you so much for the prayerful support from you and the readers of the Cup.

I now have another request; I've been diagnosed w/Fifths Disease (actually, the Drs. strongly suspect, we're waiting on confirmation via blood work). Fifths is something that primarily affects children and often goes unnoticed as the symptoms w/them are similar to a common cold. In adults the virus settles in your joints causing severe, arthritic-like, swelling and pain. My hands and feet are swollen beyond recognition and I am experiencing pain in literally every joint in my body - knees, hips, ankle, fingers, elbows, toes, spine and most pointedly in my wrists and neck. In most cases, the virus resolves w/in a week or two, but I read online that some unfortunate people have had to suffer with it for six months or more.

Please, please, please ask your readers to pray for a quick recovery. I feel silly even complaining when so many people suffer from ailments that are far worse, but the truth of the matter is I am in pain like I've never known. Talk about a reminder to be appreciative of the good health the Lord has blessed me with...

Again, I thank you for this, and for all that you do on behalf of our Saviour.

Much love,

Taunya

Please pray for Taunya..........

Pastor Don and his lovely wife Dorothy are going into a new season of their life for the Lord........

Dear friends,
Pastor Don Kimbro, whose program, "Nuggets of Truth," is heard on KKIM Monday-Friday at 7:30 AM & PM is retiring from pastoral ministry after 33 years. Now he would like to turn his attention to helping restore churches that have been damaged and are hurting. His method is simple, "Preach the Word, and love the people." If you know of any church in your area that needs help, please have them contact Pastor Don at www.MyKKIM.com or www.heightschristian.org. Thank you.

Please keep Don and Dorothy in your prayers...........

Sharon wanted to share this with us............This fits in so well with our theme this Month on Marriage and the Family........Don't forget it is not to late to register for the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference this weekend......go to www.mykkim.com and get signed up! God Bless you! The Weekend To Remember is full of excellent lessons on how to be a better parent.

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

This message is one every adult should read because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a
stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my
favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little
things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always
talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a
meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I
learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care
of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have
to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you
handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't
feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come
from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you
cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and
wanted to say, “Thanks for all the things I saw when
you thought I wasn't looking.”

Our new friend Charles sent this to us............

Read this story, and Follow the recommendation at
The end...

As I was walking
Down life's highway
Many years ago

I came upon a
Sign that read

Heavens Grocery Store.

When I got a
Little closer

The doors swung
Open wide

And when I came
To myself

I was standing
Inside.

I saw a host of
Angels.

They were
Standing everywhere

One handed me a
Basket

And said 'My
Child shop with care..'

Everything a
Human needed
Was in that
Grocery store

And what you
Could not carry
You could come
Back for more

First I got some
Patience.

Love was in that
Same row.

Further down was
Understanding,
You need that
Everywhere you go.

I got a box or
Two of Wisdom
And Faith a bag
Or two.

And Charity of
Course
I would need some
Of that too.

I couldn't miss
The Holy Ghost
It was all over
The place.

And then some
Strength
And Courage to
Help me run this race.

My basket was
Getting full
But I remembered
I needed Grace,

And then I chose
Salvation for
Salvation was for
Free

I tried to get
Enough of that to do
For you and me.

Then I started to
The counter
To pay my grocery
Bill,

For I thought I
Had everything
To

do the Masters
Will.

As I went up the
Aisle
I saw Prayer and
Put that in,

For I knew when I
Stepped outside
I would run into
Sin.

Peace and Joy
Were plentiful,
The last things
On the shelf.

Song and Praise
Were hanging near
So I just helped
Myself.

Then I said to
The angel

'Now how much do
I owe?'

He smiled and
Said

'Just take them
Everywhere you go.'

Again I asked
'Really now,

How much do I
Owe?'

'My child' he
Said, 'God paid your bill
A long long time
Ago.'

This poem has
Been sent to you
With love and for
Blessings..

Let us pray.........

Dear KKIM Family,

I must listen to God and when he moves me to write or send....I must move.........

I know there is someone out there that needs to hear this.........

Let us give Thanks and Praise to GOD! AMEN!

The Widow's Mite Cup KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Humility is to feel that we have no power of ourselves, but that it all cometh from God.-CH Spurgeon

We have no power ourselves.........our power comes from God..........

Spread yourself out today on the floor....stretch out your hands and legs and give your entire being to God!

Are you learning in Church?

Do you find yourself taking notes during the sermon?

Or do you just kind'a go to Church?

Do you live about 28% of your life for the Lord?

I have to tell you once again the Lord showed me this weekend the value of fellowship! I see it time and time again the benefits of God's people being together in worship.

My prayer for those of you who do not have a Church is that you will enable the Lord to lead you to one. You need the fellowship, whether you believe it or not. You may be dealing with hurts or disappointment with your last Church but now is the time to give that up! The Lord has something new for you!

We have to many people who say they believe in God stay at home on Sundays! You have Godly talents that the Lord has given you to use for HIS purpose, get out and spread your wings!

The Widow's Two Mites!

Luke 21:1-4

And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. So he said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had."

Sharon and I got a very inspirational letter from Martha of White Rock, NM and a gift for the Ministry. Martha is a widow.......Here is what Martha had to say........

Dear Dewey and Sharon,

This is just the widow's mite that I KNOW God can multiply according to His pleasure and His abundant resources!............

Sharon and I received that on Saturday and Pastor Jim preached on the Widow's Mite yesterday!

We Love you Martha and you are an inspiration to me and Sharon..........and many others......Martha has become a very special friend calling me and keeping informed. I love to hear from you all!

Let us all learn from Martha and the MITE of WIDOW's!!!

My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24

Let us pray...........

Lord, thank you for your servants like Martha.who inspire us to go forward in faith.........We pray today for Brooke who is still in ICU, Lord.you know this illness, you know Brooke, you know the Doctor's and Nurses......we pray for your will to be done . In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Sun/Mon CUP WITH DEWEY KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Good Morning to Martha in White Rock, NM (More on Martha in a later CUP) Melecio and Linda Rael in Questa, NM and all my new friends in Morairty and Edgewood, NM area......especially my new friend who told me Minnesota jokes!

The Lord has called me to preach the Good News and bring HIS Message forward.......Just let me know when I can come speak to your group!

Read at the end of this posting for news about our Marriage Poll.

I will share more at a later date on the Men's Breakfast yesterday in Morairty, NM with Valley View Christian Church! It was AWESOMWE in the Lord! For God's Glory Alone!

The story will be in my upcoming column for the Windom paper. www.windomnews.com

Anyhow..........Let me check with Dave and see if he is okay with me releasing the story a bit early.......I don't like stepping on anyone's toes!

Part of my message yesterday was this............

What is a Man to do? What is a Father to do? What is a Husband to do? So many men are struggling. I encouraged all to go to the Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference. Go to www.mykkim.com and get registered for this Valentines Day Weekend Conference here in New Mexico.

Anyhow .......What are Men to do????

A Father courageously leads his children

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 24: 3-4

A MAN leads by example.........Come on Men let's get going here!!!!!!!!!!!

He cultivates godly character (integrity, honesty, compassion, humility, etc.).

WHAT A MAN IS DETERMINES WHAT A MAN DOES

WHAT A MAN IS DETERMINES WHAT A MAN DOES

WHAT A MAN THINKS ABOUT IS WHO HE IS!!!!

WHAT A MAN THINKS ABOUT IS WHO HE IS!!!

WHAT KIND OF MAN ARE YOU?????

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

DO NOT BE CONFORMNED TO THIS WORLD...........

This world we live in....the dark side says NO to an ad that is for life to air in the Super Bowl.......the dark side says yes to abortion as we as a country have allowed the murder of over 50 million babies......babies that God had picked to maybe cure cancer......to be President of the United States...Doctor's.......Teachers......Preachers.......
The dark side pushing same sex marriage.........

From the beginning, the Scriptures state that Satan has challenged God and His purpose for marriage. Satan's opposition is focused on INDEPENDANCE from God.
Read Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18

DO NOT BE CONFORMNED TO THIS WORLD

BE A MAN OF GOD!!!!!

DO NOT BE CONFORMNED TO THIS WORLD

What is a Man to do?

He is to practice spiritual disciplines (Bible study, prayer, fellowship with other Christians, etc.

As 1 Timothy 4:7 says.........

.....train yourself for godliness

DO NOT BE CONFORMNED TO THIS WORLD

AMEN!!!

I have to share this with you........God has spoken to me that I am to do through out the world and speak the TRUTH! If you would like me to come and share with your group just email me. I also want to say that some of the above was taken from the workbook from the Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference. I pray that I will see you there! Don't miss this opportunity to better your marriage!

By the way rate your marriage on the KKIM QUICK POLL at www.mykkim.com as of this Sunday morning about 36% say their marriage needs help. That is why the Lord has brought the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference to New Mexico. PRAISE GOD! Let us pray for marriage.

WEEKEND CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 AMEN!

"We have shot ourselves in the foot by embracing what sells. I pray we never stop hearing the new, and never forget the old." Ruth King Goddard on the commercialization of worship in some Churches.

That brings us to this quote..........

"The reason Oral Roberts found such a following is because so many mainline denominations closed the door to the power of God." Edward, on the legacy of the Pentecostal televangelist, who died on Dec. 15th

Sharon and I are so thankful for you.our extended family........it is such to have a family here at the CUP to share with! We are here to hold each other up! To support and pray for each other!

As I awoke here at 5:30am........short night..but restful..we have received two prayer needs in that time from a drained Mother.and a tired Grandpa........

Let us pray..........

Brooke(3 yrs old) is still in ICU at UNM Children's Hosp.. Today, Friday 2-5-10 is day 14. No change yesterday from the day before, no better, but no worse. Lung X-ray unchanged, Still on oxygen ventilator, IV's etc, resting well, but slow progress. Drs say this is a slow process. Thanks for your prayers, the stress and strain on Mom and Grand Ma is unbelievable. We continue to trust in the Lord, and believe and know that He is in control. Thanks you Jesus!!!

Frank (The Old Texan) Haley cjf

My life's verse: Isa. 9:6

My "getting through the day" saying:

"When the sunshine of God's love meets the showers of our sorrow, the rainbow of promise appears."

D - Jaden(I think Jaden must be 3 or 4) went 12 hrs w/out vomiting, but then it began again last night. It is tearing me up to see her like this. Once again I humbly ask that her complete healing be part of your daily prayers.

In Him,

~T~

Please keep Brooke and Jaden in your prayers.....

Here is a devotional from Carolyn Arends in Christianity Today Feb issue........

Psalm 37 is all about strength in meekness. It deals with trusting God to be God, and with not trying to do His job. The meek, for example, don't repay evil for evil, they rely on God for justice (v.1-3). Several verses mention that the meek don't fret. And the meek let God provide their hearts desires rather than trying to manipulate people and circumstances to get what they want. (v.4).

Remember Meekness is not weakness it means POWER UNDER CONTROL!

"Suffering points to the sufficiency of God; isn't that what the Cross showed us?" D. Noorman. on Pastor Matt Chandler's cancer diagnosis.

Let us pray............

Lord we pray for healing for Brooke and Jaden and all those who are ill..........We pray for wisdom for the Doctor's and Nurses, oh Lord! We pray that we all grow closer to YOU. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

FRI CUP WITH DEWEY/News Update KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

The teacher is always silent when the test is given. When God is silent in your life, you are being tested..From Rick Warren

My KKIM friends,

I am writing to you at 12:31am Friday morning...........

God has been silent for a couple of days in my life.........or is it because I have not been listening? or to stressed?

At this hour my spirit feels renewed........as I feel refreshed........I feel I have learned again how my Lord is with me at all times and I must walk thru the fire, as State Rep. Nora Espinoza once told me, "Don't veer to the left or right, keep going straight, Dewey."

As Pastor Garland Moore once told me that has impacted my life during stressful times, "Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus."

I keep seeing the Godly need for strong Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, Pastor's and a Church family.

Think of those who do not have that, having built their life on sand.

I want to thank all of you who have taken time to phone and email your legislatures. Stay involved.

Yesterday I was interviewed on the IRN/USA Radio Network about Christian Radio News Dept's. Chuck Bates, a Dear, Dear friend interviewed me.....what a Godly honor to be on Chuck's program.

Anyhow.KKIM is just one of two Radio stations in Albuquerque out of 50 stations that has a News Dept. KKIM is the only Christian Radio station to have a News Dept in New Mexico. If I was to die today, my prayer would be that the KKIM Radio Ministry would continue on with a strong News Dept. This Radio Ministry is not about me...it's about the gift God has given New Mexico. A Voice for HIS TRUTH.

Please continue to pray for the KKIM Radio Ministry.

You can help support our effort by supporting our programs and if you own or manage a business you can become a Ministry sponsor..that is how we pay the bills.

Please pray about your involvement in the KKIM Radio Ministry.

Prayer/Culture Crisis/Same Sex Marriage KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family

God is mine..and I am HIS........

Bring yourself before HIM on bended knee in a secret place,

Invite HIM to talk to you while you are walking today.........

Let us pray on the following............we have a FULL CUP of needs.........

We have this prayer need from Paula........

Please lift me in prayer for healing! I have been experiencing muscle spasms on my left side for 2 months. Lots of pain meds. Am going to the E R. Today. May be a kidney stone I’m told. Thank you for praying.

We will be praying for you Paula! Also thanks to your hubby Roger for his lovely note! My Dad was Roger's bus driver back in Windom. Roger is from the class of 62!!! Love to hear from folks from my hometown!

Let us continue to pray for Brooke, Franks' granddaughter, she continues to make steady, but slow progress. Frank says the Hospital is full of children Brooke's age, 3 yrs old, with the same illness, lungs full of gunk.

Sharon wanted to share this with all of us............

Pictured below is a young physician by the name of Dr. Starner Jones. His short two-paragraph letter to the White House accurately puts the blame on a "Culture Crisis" instead of a "Health Care Crisis". It's worth a quick read:

Dear Mr. President:

During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone.

While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me".

Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear.

Respectfully,

STARNER JONES

The following is a letter that was sent to Jose Vasquez, Our New Mexico Watchman.....It was sent to Jose by Pastor Barney Carbajal of Abundant Life Christian Center in Belen, NM.........By the way I thank Jose and Mikki for all they do at the New Mexico Watchman.and to Pastor Barney who also does a Radio Ministry program on our Sister station KARS 860am in Belen........God has an army that is moving! Last night State Rep. Nora Espinoza told me that she was at a dinner and was told that the Senate has the votes to pass Same Sex Marriage, God's Army must continue to be heard.....

Dear Jose,

Here is a copy of an email that I sent to our two senators this evening. It was really good seeing you. Please convey to Mikki our appreciation for her testimony and a "job well done".

God bless you and yours as only He can.

Dear Senator Morales,

As I am sure you are aware SB-183 is set for a vote in the Senate on Wednesday - Feb.3rd. The vote will determine whether or not SB-183 will be sent to the finance committee. I was present at the joint meeting of the Public Affairs Committee and the Judiciary Committee this afternoon. I strongly oppose SB-183 and do so for various reasons. Some are as follows:

This bill is nothing short of "Gay Marriage". Proponents say that it is not and have stressed that careful attention has been made to avoid such words as "spouse" and "marriage" in the bill. But, as they endeavored to convince other Senators to support the bill every reference to what the bill is intended to produce was to that of heterosexual marriages. I honestly am not trying to be facetious, but as the old adage states: "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it must be duck".
As brought out both this year and last, in every state where such "Domestic Partnership Bills" have been passed such bills have been used as a stepping stone to the legalization of gay marriages. New Mexico will be no exception. What is important to note is that the public referendum on such bills has been that of over turning them - [ie. - California]. The passage of such bills has a track record of producing increasingly litigation and much expense to the states in which they have been passed. New Mexico will be no exception.

As noted in today's Senatorial discussion of the bill the financial ramifications of this bill are yet to really be determined. There were obvious conflicting reports on the fiscal impact of this bill. The range was that of somewhere between $ 50,000.00 and $ 6,000,000.00. The need to send it to the Finance Committee is rather apparent.
One very disturbing aspect of this bill and one that was clearly pointed out was that of the size of this bill and the Senator's inability at this time to fully go over the bill so as to dissect and fully understand what is contained within it so as to fully contemplate the consequences/results of the passage of this bill. In listening to the Senator's discussion it was brought out that the honorable Senators and Representatives are dealing with serious financial matters due to the passage of a bill in years past that had unforeseen and troubling consequences - even though the bill was intended to help the citizens of New Mexico. Good intentions are to be commended. Careful analysis of the carrying out of those intentions is a must. SB-183 must be carefully weighed out and not merely voted upon because of one's "philosophical" feelings (as one Senator based her vote) or solely on good intentions.
The populous of New Mexico strongly stated their stand on such a bill last year and various surveys have shown that such a stand is still as strong. The word amongst those I have talked to has been that of this session being a short one and the fiscal condition of our state must be of top priority in the limited amount of time that this session allows. Our duly elected officials need not be diverted from such matters and neither should they be forced into a hasty vote on such a massive bill (SB-183) and to do so without the properly needed time to read and fully understand what is contained in it.
Lastly, any and all people must take into careful consideration what has transpired wit regard to prior nations and even empires when the institution of marriage between a man and a woman has been tampered with or changed. History does not lie. History will repeat itself. History has shown that to tamper with this basic and foundational institution has not been in the best interest of mankind. History forgotten or not known will inevitably repeat itself. My sincere desire and prayer - along with that of others - is that our state and nation will not succumb to what history has shown to work against the wellbeing of those that have.

Myself and many of my peers, acquaintances and colleagues respectfully honor the position which you and the other duly elected officials of this state hold. We understand the tremendous pressures and responsibilities that you have voluntarily undertaken so as to serve the populous of the great state of New Mexico, and we wholeheartedly convey our thanks to you. We also realize that with your position and role comes that of determining and setting into motion that which will take place in this state now and in the future and how that the people of this state will be affected by the actions, decisions, and votes that you render. Any and all who know me and those which I serve can and will testify that we pray for all of you all during the year and have done so for years. Our prayers will continue to be for all of you no matter what side of any issue you all may find yourselves to be taking.

Thank you for your taking of your very valuable time to read and to consider what has been stated in this letter. And, again thank you for all of your self-sacrificial service to our state and the people thereof.

May our Lord truly keep, bless, and watch over you and yours.

Now From Pastor Leonard Navarre and Frank Haley.........

Wednesday, Governor Bill Richardson issued a plea to the Senate leaders to take the 816 page Domestic Partnership Bill out of the committees. The bill is being read and heard in the Judiciary and Public Affairs Committees with referrals to the Finance Committee for cost impact. Governor Richardson stated, "I believe the entire Senate needs to be able to vote on this bill. I am positive and confident that when presented to the entire Senate that it will pass." However, some commentators are disagreeing with the Governor saying that the votes on the Senate floor have not changed since the last vote when this type bill was defeated by 8 votes. Senator Cisco McSorley has stated that the bill will not be discussed or voted on in his committee until Friday.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Legislature's 30-day budget-balancing session looks like it could be headed for a collision.
Lawmakers hit the session's midway point Wednesday with leaders of the House and Senate remaining philosophically divided on how to plug a budget deficit for the coming fiscal year that's projected to be between $500 million and $600 million.
House members could vote as soon as today on a proposed $5.6 billion budget that relies on about $320 million in increased taxes and about $200 million in federal aid to help cover state spending. Some of the federal aid hasn't been approved by Congress yet.
Top-ranking senators say the budget plan, if approved by the House, won't have a soft landing in the Senate.
"Obviously, the House wants the Senate to be the bad people and strip (the tax increases)," said Sen. John Arthur Smith, D-Deming, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
Smith said it's possible, if not likely, that lawmakers will have to return for a special session this spring if they are unable to reconcile their budget disagreements by the time the 30-day session ends Feb. 18.
Gov. Bill Richardson said Wednesday he supports the House's budget approach, which includes temporarily raising the gross receipts tax rate and imposing a personal income surtax on high-earning New Mexicans.
The tax hikes would allow the state to balance its budget without cutting salaries of educators and state workers, though some spending cuts would still be required.
However, support for the budget package crafted by House Democratic leadership appeared to be wavering Wednesday, even among members of the majority party.
Democratic representatives held two caucus meetings — both behind closed doors — to discuss the budget bill.
Republicans in both the House and Senate are expected to take a hard-line approach against tax hikes, although they bristle at suggestions they're merely trying to block the Democratic agenda.

Exempt employees: A measure (SB 127) would limit the number of exempt employees in state government to about 400.

"The number of political hires is out of control," said Sen. John Ryan, the bill's sponsor. "The Legislature has oversight authority and needs to get a handle on how many political hires a governor can have in an administration."

Ryan says there are about 500 exempt employees currently on the state payroll. "There needs to be a limit on the number, otherwise our state budgets will continue to grow and grow without the Legislature's consent. It is a budget issue. It is a clear balance of power issue."

The senator hopes his bill is declared germane to the current 30-day session. He says it's directly related to the financial matters the Legislature is considering this session.

The Senate Committees' Committee is expected to determine today whether the measure is relevant.

URGENT PRAYER KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

From Pastor Alan Hawkins of New Life City weekdays 2pm and 8:05pm Saturdays at Noon on KKIM.........

Pastor Alan says...........

The government has taken over banks, auto industry, insurance companies... and now it is trying to take over gay marriage...follow the money

This from Pastor Don Kimbro.........

Hello everyone,
As you know by now, the radical homosexual agenda for our State, backed by several very liberal progressive representatives and our Governor, has a Domestic Partners Bill before our State Legislature once again. Many of you will probably not be able to attend the Committee meetings in Santa Fe, but you can join us this Friday night in the Fellowship Hall, at 7 PM, as we intercede for God's intervention on this destructive piece of legislation. Amistad Cristiana will join us for worship and a powerful time of prayer. Last year this bill was narrowly defeated. Please join us for an Hour of Power in Prayer and watch our God ovecome the plans of the enemy.

Let us face our GAINTS KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Sharon and I thank the Lord for all our Mentors in Christ!!!

This is for all of you who have GAINTS in your life........

Let us stand strong in the circle of love and power that the Lord has for us......

Picture yourself in a circle of strength and love created for you by the Lord.

Let us face our Giants........Lets us be David's not Goliath's!!! Let us not HIDE from our GAINTS!

What Giant are you HIDING from?

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Joshua1: 5-7

And so find favor and high esteem

In the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

It will be health to your flesh,

And strength to your bones.

Proverbs 3:4-8

Sharon and I are praying this morning for all of us that have Giants in our lives and that we will face them with our Lord.

I have been in Ministry now for 24 years of my life......I say that because I am still growing.......growing in my relationship with the Lord and I am to share that with you.......That is what the Lord has told me........I see families being torn apart, because someone will not face their GAINT.......I see a Country being torn apart because many stay silent while it's government goes in debt and flirts with same sex marriage.....and allows abortion...... One of the real problems is that a lot of the World is blind.....and cannot see their GAINT!

Sharon and I love you all so much.........

Let us share this with you that ties in with today's message..Growth in our walk with Jesus Christ.........

No Shortcuts to Christian Maturity
by Rick Warren

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians 1:6 NLT)
It takes years for us to grow to adulthood, and it takes a full season for fruit to mature and ripen. The same is true for the fruit of the Spirit. The development of Christlike character cannot be rushed. Spiritual growth, like physical growth, takes time.

When you try to ripen fruit quickly, it loses its flavor. In America, tomatoes are usually picked unripened so they won't bruise during shipping to the stores. Then, before they are sold, these green tomatoes are sprayed with CO2 gas to turn them red instantly. Gassed tomatoes are edible, but they are no match to the flavor of a vine-ripened tomato that is allowed to mature slowly.

While we worry about how fast we grow, God is concerned about how strong we grow. God views our lives from and for eternity, so he is never in a hurry.

Billy Graham associate Lane Adams once compared the process of spiritual growth to the strategy the Allies used in World War II to liberate islands in the South Pacific. First they would "soften up" an island, weakening the resistance by shelling the enemy strongholds with bombs from offshore ships.

Next, a small group of Marines would invade the island and establish a "beachhead"a tiny fragment of the island that they could control. Once the beachhead was secured, they would begin the long process of liberating the rest of the island, one bit of territory at a time.

Eventually the entire island would be brought under control, but not without some costly battles.

Adams drew this parallel: Before Christ invades our lives at conversion, he sometimes has to "soften us up" by allowing problems we can't handle. While some open their lives to Christ the first time he knocks on the door, most of us are resistant and defensive. Our pre-conversion experience is Jesus saying, "Behold I stand at the door and bomb!"

The moment you open yourself to Christ, God gets a "beachhead" in your life. You may think you have surrendered all your life to him, but the truth is, there is a lot to your life that you aren't even aware of. You can only give God as much of you as you understand at that moment. That's okay.

Once Christ is given a beachhead, he begins the campaign to take over more and more territory until all of your life is completely his. There will be struggles and battles, but the outcome will never be in doubt. God has promised that "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion." (Philippians 1:6, NIV)

Now, let me pass along some important news items......we must face our GAINTS! These news items are from KKIM's Frank Haley.find more at www.mykkim.com

Members of Equality New Mexico and dozens of other supporters gathered Monday at the New Mexico Capitol in support of a domestic partnership bill that has the backing of Gov. Bill Richardson but faces tough opposition from Republicans and conservative Democrats.

The measure would give unmarried same-sex and opposite-sex couples the legal protections and benefits of married couples on issues ranging from medical decision-making to adoption and child support.

The crowd outside the Capitol, participating in the World's Largest Engagement Party, erupted into cheers and many pumped their fists into the frigid air when bill sponsor Rep. Mimi Stewart, D-Albuquerque, suggested that lawmakers pass the measure and prove New Mexico is a progressive state.

Critics, including the New Mexico Conference of Catholic Bishops, argue that domestic partnerships are a stepping stone to same-sex marriage. Supporters contend the issue is about civil rights.

The legislation, to be considered today during a joint hearing of the Senate Judiciary and Public Affairs committees, is more than 800 pages long. It attempts to deal with all references in state law to rights and benefits involving marriage.

Sen. Cisco McSorley, D-Albuquerque, told the crowd the measure stands a good chance of passing in the House, but getting it through the Senate will be the challenge, as it has been for the last couple of years. Despite past failures to get the measure to the governor's desk, he encouraged the crowd not to give up.

Sen. McSorley said, "Don't you worry, we're in this for the long haul,"

Linda Siegle, a lobbyist for Equality New Mexico, said, "We must not let a session pass that we don't bring up this issue," she said. "We will continue to be here every year until gay and lesbian people share in the same rights as other New Mexicans."

With the halfway point of the legislative session coming Wednesday — and with nearly 500 bills in the hopper — lawmakers have passed only one bill. But a couple of tax-increase bills that would raise sales tax for everyone and impose a surtax on upper-income New Mexicans cleared an important committee Monday and is headed for the House floor.

The tax bills are designed to deal with the $600 million budget shortfall

The one bill that has passed so far was House Bill 1, the "Feed Bill," which pays for the session. It passed both the House and Senate and was signed — with some line-item vetoes — by Gov. Bill Richardson.

Then there's HB 64, a noncontroversial school-funding measure that unanimously passed the House and went on to the Senate. The Senate, by Monday, had yet to pass any Senate bills.

Though this might seem like inaction to the naked eye, it's fairly typical in a 30-day session. In any session, the real action doesn't usually come until the final days.

The House appears headed toward passing two major tax increases to deal with the budget crunch.

THANK YOU CBS TV

An ad for a gay dating Web site will not air during the Super Bowl.

CBS rejected the request for the Mancrunch.com ad, stating it was "not within the network's broadcast standards for Super Bowl Sunday."

"After reviewing the ad, which is entirely commercial in nature, our standards and practices department decided not to accept this particular spot," CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs said. "We are always open to working with a client on alternative submissions."

The commercial showed two men kissing while watching a football game.

After growing opposition to a pro-life ad featuring college football star Tim Tebow, CBS opened the door for other advocacy ads.

However, the network said it will only air ads that are "responsibly produced."

Just one more thing.....We thank Jannetta for all her hard work on the web site and getting things posted.......what a blessing she is.an Angel here on earth! We love you!

Monday Morning Cup! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Peace and Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

"Without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure." Ronald Reagan

Let's have some fun as we start the new week and Month!

Who makes the Coffee around here anyway? This from Sharon.........

WHO DOES WHAT

A man and his wife were having an argument about who
should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it because you get up first,
and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and
you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for
my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible
that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me."
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed
him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'.

LOL! LOL! LOL!

I just want to say that I do brew the coffee here at the CUP! and for Sharon! And I love doing it!!!

From Oswald Chambers........

"Give me to drink."
How many of us are set upon Jesus Christ slaking our thirst when we ought to be satisfying Him?
We should be pouring out now, spending to the last limit, not drawing on Him to satisfy us. "ye shall be witnesses unto Me"------that means a life of unsullied, uncompromising, and unbribed devotion to the Lord Jesus, a satisfaction to HIM wherever HE places us.

God's Provision: Maintain Integrity
by Rick Warren

God cares about honesty in the workplace; your business is his business. Proverbs 16:11 (MSG)

God promises to meet all your financial needs, if you (1) ask him for help; (2) learn to be content; (3) practice giving in faith; and (4) maintain your integrity --
God doesn't bless dishonesty. Proverbs 16:11 (NLT) says, "The Lord demands fairness in every business deal." That includes wages, sales and taxes.

If you want God's blessing on your finances, you've got to be honest. You can't rip people off. Profit made dishonestly always brings trouble. Always.

"The blessing of the Lord brings wealth and he adds no trouble to it." (Proverbs 10:22, NIV) Have you ever known anybody who made money, and it just brought trouble? You will always reap what you sow. If you are dishonest with others, it will be returned to you. If you think you haven't been caught, understand that the clock is still ticking. You cannot mock God and get away with it.

Be honest. Be honest with your finances: "It is the Lord's blessing that makes you wealthy." (Proverbs 10:22, TEV)

Let us pray.........

Lord, We pray for all those struggling today finding work, buying gas for their cars, making their house payment, buying groceries.....Let us all look around and see those in need of help......and then help in a Godly way. We pray for the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference and all those couples that will attend, we pray for the defeat of same sex marriage, give our lawmakers courage...courage that only YOU can give....... In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
