Let us face our GAINTS KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Sharon and I thank the Lord for all our Mentors in Christ!!!

This is for all of you who have GAINTS in your life........

Let us stand strong in the circle of love and power that the Lord has for us......

Picture yourself in a circle of strength and love created for you by the Lord.

Let us face our Giants........Lets us be David's not Goliath's!!! Let us not HIDE from our GAINTS!

What Giant are you HIDING from?

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Joshua1: 5-7

And so find favor and high esteem

In the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

It will be health to your flesh,

And strength to your bones.

Proverbs 3:4-8

Sharon and I are praying this morning for all of us that have Giants in our lives and that we will face them with our Lord.

I have been in Ministry now for 24 years of my life......I say that because I am still growing.......growing in my relationship with the Lord and I am to share that with you.......That is what the Lord has told me........I see families being torn apart, because someone will not face their GAINT.......I see a Country being torn apart because many stay silent while it's government goes in debt and flirts with same sex marriage.....and allows abortion...... One of the real problems is that a lot of the World is blind.....and cannot see their GAINT!

Sharon and I love you all so much.........

Let us share this with you that ties in with today's message..Growth in our walk with Jesus Christ.........

No Shortcuts to Christian Maturity
by Rick Warren

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians 1:6 NLT)
It takes years for us to grow to adulthood, and it takes a full season for fruit to mature and ripen. The same is true for the fruit of the Spirit. The development of Christlike character cannot be rushed. Spiritual growth, like physical growth, takes time.

When you try to ripen fruit quickly, it loses its flavor. In America, tomatoes are usually picked unripened so they won't bruise during shipping to the stores. Then, before they are sold, these green tomatoes are sprayed with CO2 gas to turn them red instantly. Gassed tomatoes are edible, but they are no match to the flavor of a vine-ripened tomato that is allowed to mature slowly.

While we worry about how fast we grow, God is concerned about how strong we grow. God views our lives from and for eternity, so he is never in a hurry.

Billy Graham associate Lane Adams once compared the process of spiritual growth to the strategy the Allies used in World War II to liberate islands in the South Pacific. First they would "soften up" an island, weakening the resistance by shelling the enemy strongholds with bombs from offshore ships.

Next, a small group of Marines would invade the island and establish a "beachhead"a tiny fragment of the island that they could control. Once the beachhead was secured, they would begin the long process of liberating the rest of the island, one bit of territory at a time.

Eventually the entire island would be brought under control, but not without some costly battles.

Adams drew this parallel: Before Christ invades our lives at conversion, he sometimes has to "soften us up" by allowing problems we can't handle. While some open their lives to Christ the first time he knocks on the door, most of us are resistant and defensive. Our pre-conversion experience is Jesus saying, "Behold I stand at the door and bomb!"

The moment you open yourself to Christ, God gets a "beachhead" in your life. You may think you have surrendered all your life to him, but the truth is, there is a lot to your life that you aren't even aware of. You can only give God as much of you as you understand at that moment. That's okay.

Once Christ is given a beachhead, he begins the campaign to take over more and more territory until all of your life is completely his. There will be struggles and battles, but the outcome will never be in doubt. God has promised that "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion." (Philippians 1:6, NIV)

Members of Equality New Mexico and dozens of other supporters gathered Monday at the New Mexico Capitol in support of a domestic partnership bill that has the backing of Gov. Bill Richardson but faces tough opposition from Republicans and conservative Democrats.

The measure would give unmarried same-sex and opposite-sex couples the legal protections and benefits of married couples on issues ranging from medical decision-making to adoption and child support.

The crowd outside the Capitol, participating in the World's Largest Engagement Party, erupted into cheers and many pumped their fists into the frigid air when bill sponsor Rep. Mimi Stewart, D-Albuquerque, suggested that lawmakers pass the measure and prove New Mexico is a progressive state.

Critics, including the New Mexico Conference of Catholic Bishops, argue that domestic partnerships are a stepping stone to same-sex marriage. Supporters contend the issue is about civil rights.

The legislation, to be considered today during a joint hearing of the Senate Judiciary and Public Affairs committees, is more than 800 pages long. It attempts to deal with all references in state law to rights and benefits involving marriage.

Sen. Cisco McSorley, D-Albuquerque, told the crowd the measure stands a good chance of passing in the House, but getting it through the Senate will be the challenge, as it has been for the last couple of years. Despite past failures to get the measure to the governor's desk, he encouraged the crowd not to give up.

Sen. McSorley said, "Don't you worry, we're in this for the long haul,"

Linda Siegle, a lobbyist for Equality New Mexico, said, "We must not let a session pass that we don't bring up this issue," she said. "We will continue to be here every year until gay and lesbian people share in the same rights as other New Mexicans."

With the halfway point of the legislative session coming Wednesday — and with nearly 500 bills in the hopper — lawmakers have passed only one bill. But a couple of tax-increase bills that would raise sales tax for everyone and impose a surtax on upper-income New Mexicans cleared an important committee Monday and is headed for the House floor.

The tax bills are designed to deal with the $600 million budget shortfall

The one bill that has passed so far was House Bill 1, the "Feed Bill," which pays for the session. It passed both the House and Senate and was signed — with some line-item vetoes — by Gov. Bill Richardson.

Then there's HB 64, a noncontroversial school-funding measure that unanimously passed the House and went on to the Senate. The Senate, by Monday, had yet to pass any Senate bills.

Though this might seem like inaction to the naked eye, it's fairly typical in a 30-day session. In any session, the real action doesn't usually come until the final days.

The House appears headed toward passing two major tax increases to deal with the budget crunch.

THANK YOU CBS TV

An ad for a gay dating Web site will not air during the Super Bowl.

CBS rejected the request for the Mancrunch.com ad, stating it was "not within the network's broadcast standards for Super Bowl Sunday."

"After reviewing the ad, which is entirely commercial in nature, our standards and practices department decided not to accept this particular spot," CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs said. "We are always open to working with a client on alternative submissions."

The commercial showed two men kissing while watching a football game.

After growing opposition to a pro-life ad featuring college football star Tim Tebow, CBS opened the door for other advocacy ads.

However, the network said it will only air ads that are "responsibly produced."

Just one more thing.....We thank Jannetta for all her hard work on the web site and getting things posted.......what a blessing she is.an Angel here on earth! We love you!

Also I thank Pastor Leonard today....during my devotions we prayed together by texting.....today....The Lord has given us technology to stay in touch and use it for HIS GLORY!

Let us pray.........

Lord, We pray that we will face the GAINTS in our lives with faith in YOU! Oh Lord, thank you for everything! In Jesus name, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
