QUICK CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

First of all it was not my Uncle Joe who passed away, it was Dr. Joe Fawcett's Uncle Joe who went home to be with the Lord. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks to all of you who wrote and care.

What a WONDERFUL DAY IN THE LORD yesterday in day one of the Cross International/KKIM Radio-A-Thon!!! What an AWESOME response!

We are in our final day of the Radio -A-Thon for Cross International. It is 4:10am when I am writing this. Would you please prayfully consider giving a donation to this cause? Please go to www.mykkim.com We still need help to get to our goal of rescuing Orphans from the streets of Mozambique. Can we count on you?
Just over 95% of every dollar goes directly to the Orphans!!! As State Rep. Janice E. Arnold Jones said on KKIM yesterday Cross International is an excellent Charity! They know how to get the most out of every dollar. They make sure they use your money correctly! Please help in this effort if you can, it is our final day.
Thanks to the 20 plus Pastor's and leaders in our State who were on the air with us yesterday praying with us!!! Thank you for giving. By the way the first to donate for this cause was Cowboy Clarence Montoya of Socorro, NM. Thanks buddy!

1 Peter 4:11

If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Thanks to Pastor Don Kimbro for contacting a Brother in Christ in La Crosse, Wisconsin to go visit my brother Daryl. Daryl is improving each day. Thanks for your prayers.

Here is something to reflect on from Oswald Chambers....then I better get going so I can be on the air at 6 this morning to start the Radio-A-Thon........Please join us okay? Listen on line at www.mykkim.com Your prayers are appreciated!!

How will my prayer life be different if I focus on GOD rather than on my circumstances?

We give this Radio-A-Thon to the Lord..........HE knows the needs........AMEN!

Thank you for stopping by for a quick cup!

Love in Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

Let us here from our dear friend...yes all our friends are dear, Dr. Joe Fawcett..............

Louann wanted me to share these funny children's stories with you.
But before you read them, I'd like to share a far more serious story with you. I'll keep it short as possible. It's about my Uncle Joe Joiner. He's my mother's oldest brother of five siblings. Uncle Joe and my dad were best friends at Austin College (they played varsity football together), in the Army, and up until the sudden death of my dad from spinal meningitis at the age of 36 - I was 15. Uncle Joe and dad were like brothers. Uncle Joe became close to me like my second dad for several years after my dad's death.
A long time ago, Uncle Joe married my mother's best friend Harriet (Aunt Hoppy) Hopkins - they'd been best of friends since first grade in Sherman. My mother's big brother married her best friend.
I grew up with the Joiner kids. They were like brother and sisters to me. We had wonderful, magical fun times growing up together in the mid 50's and 60's and 70's. Nowadays, when we get together - often - we still have wonderful fun times. I've been super blessed with such a wonderful family of origin that is also my family of choice.
Uncle Joe became an attorney and eventually a Federal District Judge.
Tragically, in 1986 he was stricken with what the doctors determined to be "Lou Gehrig's Disease". This was two years after my mother had died from a three year battle with brain cancer.
Uncle Joe was given three months to live. His health decline was shockingly dramatic for this robust man with movie star looks. Everyone thought the doctor's were right but hoped they were terribly wrong.
The years passed.
Aunt Hoppy faithfully tended to her sweetheart around the clock. She exhibited true Christ-centered love, hope, faith, mercy, and courage. A monument of a uniquely dedicated woman to her husband, children, grandchildren, and everyone who has had the extreme pleasure of knowing this incredibly gracious and intelligent woman.
I was told this afternoon that last night Uncle Joe leaped into Eternity at 10:05.
All his precious children and grandchildren had crowded into the room where his shell of a body had laid in a bed for the last 22 years. They profoundly experienced his passing from this world into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Their precious dad... grandad... and my uncle will soon experience the resurrected body.
It was a marvelous sight, I'm told, when they all held hands and sang hymns and prayed around him. And just before his heart stopped, he suddenly opened his eyes wide, looked around at everyone, closed his eyes, and exhaled his last breath.
Over the years we all knew Uncle Joe was to leave us at any moment. But when it happens, it's always upsetting.
The memorial is this Thursday in Sherman. In the same chapel where my dad's service was.
I didn't know how his passing would effect me until now as I write this. It has opened up some rather deep "old" wounds that I don't like to experience. But I've found writing is an emotional release that is healthy.
After the service, the immediate family will gather at the home in Sherman where Uncle Joe lived the last 30 plus years. It's the same house Aunt Hoppy grew up in as a child all the way through High School and College. Isn't that amazing!
Louann, Jonathan and I will be there. We will hear and tell funny and tender stories about Uncle Joe... probably late into the night.
The death of a loved one draws us closer and closer to the reality of an Eternity that's always a breath away. It's also a constant reminder that you and I need to love more deeply and live more purposely... and that life... goes on...

The wonderful world of Kids
While I sat in the reception area of my doctor's office, a woman rolled an elderly man in a wheelchair into the room. As she went to the receptionist's desk, the man sat there, alone & silent. Just as I was thinking I should make small talk with him, a little boy slipped off his mother's lap & walked over to the wheelchair. Placing his hand on the man's, he said, 'I know how you feel. My mom makes me ride in the stroller, too.'

* * *
As I was nursing my baby, my cousin's 6-yr-old daughter, Krissy, came into the room. Never having seen anyone breast feed before, she was intrigued & full of all kinds of questions about what I was doing. After mulling over my answers, she remarked, 'My mom has some of those, but I don't think she knows how to use them.

* * *
Out bicycling one day with my 8-yr-old granddaughter, Carolyn, I got a little wistful. 'In 10 years,' I said, 'you'll want to be with your friends & you won't go walking, biking, & swimming with me like you do now.Carolyn shrugged. 'In 10 years you'll be too old to do all those thingsanyway.'

* * *
On a brutally humid day, I walked past a miniature golf course & saw a dad following 3 small children from hole to hole. 'Who's winning?' I shouted. 'I am,' said one kid.'Me,' said another.
'No, me,' yelled the 3rd. Sweat dripping down his face, the dad gasped, 'Their mother is.'

* * *
On the way back from a Cub Scout meeting, my grandson asked my son THE question. 'Dad, I know that babies come from mommies' tummies, but how do they get there in the first place?' he asked innocently. After my son hemmed & hawed awhile, my grandson finally spoke up in disgust. 'You don't have to make somethingup, Dad. It's OK if you don't know the answer.

* * *
Just before I was deployed to Iraq , I sat my 8-yr-old son down & broke the news to him. 'I'm going to be away for a long time,' I told him. 'I'm going to Iraq .' 'Why?' he asked. 'Don't you know there's a war going on over there?'

* * *
Paul Newman founded the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for children stricken with cancer, AIDS & blood diseases. One afternoon he & his wife, Joanne Woodward, stopped by to have lunch with the kids. A counselor at a nearby table, suspecting the young patients wouldn't know that Newman was a famous movie star, explained, 'That's the man who made this camp possible. Maybe you'veseen his picture on his salad dressing bottle?' .... Blank stares.
'Well, you've probably seen his face on his lemonade carton.'
An 8-yr-old girl perked up. 'How long was he missing?'From our dear friend David Standridge of Warrior Life.........

FIGHT FOR FREEDOM

This November has been a very interesting and exciting month. As I write, we have already gone through the elections and celebrated Veteran's Day. In a few weeks we will celebrate Thanksgiving. All of these events have caused me to think and ponder on freedom.

Freedom is an awesome responsibility. We can attend church, speak our mind, write our thoughts, work wherever we desire and cast our vote for whoever we want because of freedom. Thanks to our military men and women we enjoy the fruits of their labor. They have sacrificed, bled and died for our freedom. Freedom is sometimes difficult to define, but we certainly know that we want it. Throughout the years, families, individuals and groups have sacrificed their lives, limbs, comfort and own personal desires for the sake of freedom. The idea of freedom is so powerful that it caused our founding fathers to pledge their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor" to declare impendence from what was then the most powerful nation in the world. The idea of freedom is so powerful that it caused slaves to run away from their "masters" and travel through land and territories completely foreign to them. The idea of freedom moved the slaves to blindly place their trust in strangers along the underground railroad in order to pursue freedom. Then again in World War II, the idea of freedom propelled the "greatest generation" to toil, sacrifice and be vigilant against the oppressive Nazi regime. The idea of freedom caused young men to advance on the beachhead at Normandy. Many other examples exist where people undertook difficult odds and circumstances just to experience freedom.

The idea of freedom is so much a part of our culture that many of you would fight to the death to preserve it. The idea of freedom still rings true as much today as it did at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Many of you would challenge me with a gun or fist if I told you that I or any other person or entity would take your freedom from you tomorrow. Many of you would rather exclaim that it is better to be dead than to live as a slave without freedom. Yet, unfortunately, many men are in fact choosing to live as slaves instead of the free men that they are.

Galations 5:1 declares that "It was for freedom that Christ set us free." You see the idea of freedom is not an American invention. It is not an invention of the Democrats or Republicans. It is an idea born from God. Christ died to make all men free. Free from the chains of slavery to sin and the effects of sin. While it is great that we can live in a "free" Nation like the United States, many men still choose to live like slaves in their everyday lives. While it is wonderful to exercise the rights we have because of freedom, many men still choose to live well below their potential. If we tried to take your civil freedoms you would yell and fight, however, our enemy everyday is trying to take your real freedom in Christ. Unfortunately, many men choose not to fight for their freedom. The freedom from poverty, freedom from sickness, freedom from divorce, freedom from pornography, freedom from fear and anger, freedom from lust, freedom from a poor self image. You see, Christ made us free from sin and all of its repercussions. Are you living as a free man?

Ask yourself a question. Are you willing to fight for your civil freedom? If so, are you willing to fight for your spiritual freedom? Recognize that freedom is not free. Our men and women died for our civil freedom. Our Lord Jesus died for our life freedom. So many men go through life thinking "if only I could conquer this or that in my life." Realize that you don't have to live like a slave any longer. You were bought with a price. You were granted freedom. It is now up to you to choose whether you want to continue as a slave or live with the freedom that is given to you.

I love the line in "Braveheart" where William Wallace (Mel Gibson) says, "All men die but not all men live." Are you living in freedom today? I challenge you to question yourself and take an inventory. If you feel so strongly about freedom in our nation, why not more so when it comes to your everyday life. It was for freedom that you were set free. Decide to live like a free man. Decide to live like a champion. Decide to live like a warrior. Reclaim your Warrior Spirit.

Next month I want to talk to you about fighting for your freedom!

Dave

God Bless you all and May the Peace of the Lord be with You and Yours! Dewey Sharon and family

MONDAY WAKE UP CUP!!!! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Yesterday Sharon and I had a wonderful time at Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan, NM. That is the Church Garland Moore Pastor's. Garland is on KKIM Sundays at 9:45 and 5:05 and Mondays at 3:34. I delivered the message at the Church. It is based on James 5.

The night before delivering the sermon I was on the phone with my Uncle Joe and reading scripture to him. he wanted more and more..........we were reading from the Psalms. Then the Lord told me to move to James 5. Joe had me read that to him twice. James 5 tied my sermon right together! It was if when I was reading James 5, James was right beside me writing it, because it is so much like what we are going through right now as a Country. Please read it.

What was even more cool, was that the reading before my sermon tied everything together........

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

I talked about not counting on a Political party, not putting faith in a political party, but putting faith in Jesus Christ. If we want real change in this country we will introduce many to HIM, we will do it in peace and love to change hearts through HIM.

Please pray for my brother Darly Moede who lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is in the hospital. Thank you.

Sharon and I were so blessed by meeting so many new friends yesterday. We have been asked to pray for Dudley Marshall. Please pray that Dudley will return to the Lord.

KKIM's Program Director Bobby Jones mother, Helen who lives in the area stopped by for the service yesterday! It was great to see Helen who is so involved in Prison Ministry and also helps feed the hungry in the area.

After the service Sharon and I went out to dinner with Garland and his wonderful family.

I love small town America and the small Church!

For those of you who read this out of state, and for those of you in New Mexico, you might not be aware, like me and Sharon, that the Coal Mine and Paper Mill 20 miles plus from Grants/Milan area are going great guns! The Paper Mill pipes water from nearby Milan from the old carrot farm that was in the area back in the 40's. So much great history in the area. A company got a permit last week to start mining again for uranium in the Grants/Milan area.

From Oswald Chambers book, "Faith A Holy Walk"..............

To the world, faith is often nothing more than a warm, fuzzy notion. Such faith emits a vague, religious aroma but is impossible to define.
To the Christian, however, faith ought always to mean one thing: faith is believing what God says and obeying HIM.
Oswald Chambers makes some painful but necessary observations about our faith.
"Many of us have no faith in God at all." he says, "but only faith in what HE has done for us. Beware of building your faith on experience. You can never give another person that which you have found, but you can make him long for what you have."
Typically, it is the very thing we do not want that provides us with the opportunity to entice others with our faith. For it is in the trials and demands of life-------not in ease and comfort-----that our faith in Christ is tested, purified, strengthened. This is the faith that will point a searching world to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Chambers reminds us that faith is in the ability to see as a little child sees. Simply put, we must see God in everything. As we do, we find that the distractions and distresses of earth will fade in exchange for a grateful consciousness of God's providential hand.
Instead of becoming overwhelmed by our circumstances, we begin to put into practice Philippians 4:8 Whatever is true, noble, right, lovely, admirable-----"if anything is excellent or praiseworthy----think about such things."
Soon we are fixing our minds on trust, not panic; love, not hate; purity, not perversion; truth, not lies.
"Faith that is sure of itself is not faith," Chambers concludes. "Faith that is sure of GOD is the only faith there is."

The temper of mind is tremendous in its effects; it is the enemy that penetrates right into the soul and distracts the mind from God. There are certain tempers of mind in which we never dare indulge; if we do, we find they have distracted us from faith in God, and until we get back to the quiet mood before God, our faith in Him is nil, and our confidence in the flesh and human ingenuity is the thing that rules. From Muhh

Please remember to read James 5.

Have a great day in the Lord and remember what Mother Teresa's Mom told her when she left home in 1928 as she became a missionary, "Put your hand in HIS hand, and walk alone with HIM."

Thank you for your Prayers and Love, Dewey Sharon and Family

KKIM/DDC WEEKEND BONUS WORDS

Dear KKIM Family,

I just had to share this with you............

The Holy Spirit is moving in me to share these words with you...........

Faith is believing what God says...........

In all we are seeing in our world today..........

Do we have enough confidence in God's character to believe what HE says even when it seems to contradict what we see?

A STRONG WEEKEND CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Nearly 500 new visitors to the web site in October!!! Praise God!!!

If you have ever wanted to give something to the Daily Cup...........may I suggest you please give to the effort we have going on to support the poorest of the poor, Orphans. Please go to http://www.mykkim.com/ and prayfully consider helping in this HUGE effort. No matter where you read this you can help with this effort.

Before we start...................a word from Oswald Chambers..........

We have to get out of the old pagan way of guiding ourselves by our head and get into the Christian way of being guided by faith in a personal God, whose methods are a perpetual contradiction to our every preconceived notion.

The LORD is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in HIM, and I am helped. Psalm 28:7

Please pray for all those in Albuquerque that worked at Eclipse Aviation and did not get paid yesterday. About 1,100 were told yesterday that the company did not have the money to pay them for their last two weeks of work and the State told them all to go home and await word about the companies future.

Let us all put our feet in the shoes of all those losing their jobs. Can you imagine how it felt to go into work and being told you will not be paid for your last two weeks of work?

Today call some one you have not heard from and ages.

Today tell a stranger hello.

Today give someone a nice surprise.........make their day!

Let us all turn to Our Father in Heaven!

I had State Rep. Janice E. Arnold Jones on New Mexico News and Views yesterday talking about the Eclipse situation and when asked about the situation, Janice was not quick to answer.......as she said sometimes we do not have the answers.....she is so right on......Man can try to solve the present economic condition of this country........but our TRUE answer in life is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Here is note from one of our dear friends, Joe Page. Joe and Linda of Car Pro's Auto Sales have been a strong supporter of KKIM since I came to be with the Radio Ministry. We are teaming with Joe and Linda's Church Montgomery Church of Christ to help get the word out about their free Thanksgiving meal for those in need. More information on this posting...........But I wanted to share with you a note that Joe sent.........

Keep up the good work Dewey! We're in the trenches everyday. We recently had a men's breakfast honoring veterans; when asked what branch of the service that I was in, I responded- " The Lord's Army", so that what they wrote on my name tag. JP

Joe is so right about being part of the Lord's Army! Remember that old time song..........Onward Christian Soldiers? I miss hearing that.........that is the type of song we need to be playing today as things get very tough for many. We are all part of God's Army.......Let us all reach out to those in need. Let us all stick together in Christ.

A special hello to Vickie and Lew of A-1 Travel, John Chitwood of Southern Blvd. Automotive, Bob Daniel, Robert Gibson all long time sponsors of KKIM!!!! God Bless you all!!!! To all of you who help sponsor KKIM, thanks so much for being with us!!!!

News from Kyle Martin, Jason Samuel, Goshen College Indiana..........The Indiana Connection!!!

Talked with Kyle Martin yesterday. You hear Kyle Sunday mornings at 8:30 on KKIM, he led Revive Santa Fe. The Goshen newspaper is doing a write up on Kyle. Kyle's hometown of Middleburry is right outside Goshen. Goshen is the home of the famous Goshen College, where one of my former staffers of WFRN, Jason Samuel is the manager of the College Radio station. Anyhow I still have many ties to Indiana as you can tell. I was asked by the reporter of the Goshen News why I put Kyle on KKIM. Simple.....God told me to. He is young, very passionate about God and God's word.......he has a message that needs to be heard, and we need new blood in Radio Ministry across the world. Listen to Kyle at 8:30am Sundays right after Pastor Vic Tafoya.

Just one more thing......When you go to http://www.mykkim.com/ and go to our program guide you will find out more about Kyle and his Church the Dallas Bible Church.

More thoughts from Oswald Chambers.......

JESUS NEVER MENTIONED unanswered prayer, He had the boundless certainty that prayer is always answered.

Here is a question to reflect on..........

What prayer am I trying to answer in my own strength?

Wow, what a question!

Okay now here is more details on the Montgomery Church of Christ Thanksgiving meal for the needy....they also need help serving. Can you help?

For those who may be struggling to have a good Thanksgiving meal, the Montgomery Church of Christ will be serving families within our community on Thanksgiving day, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, at no charge. The church is located at 7201 Montgomery NE, two blocks east of Louisiana on the north side of the street. A delicious traditional meal will be available. A phone call to the church would be appreciated (but not required) just to let them know how many will be with you. Call 884-7926. Again, Montgomery Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery NE, lunch from 11:00 to 2:00 on Thanksgiving Day, no charge. Come. Be the guest of our Lord.

Let's check that mailbag.........I love mail! I would love to hear from you! Drop me a line.....Sharon and I would love it!

Dewey, Thank you for the wonderful encouragement in today's Midweek Cup. What sweet, sweet stories and words of wisdom that we need to hear. Glad Pastor Don is doing well. We are so blessed to have the power of prayer as such a vital part of our healing process! How could we ever go through life without Jesus! I am so blessed that my mother exposed me to Christ when I was young instead of "letting" me decide for myself as an adult as so many do today. My mother at 95 is suffering from dementia and has lost a great deal of her memory. BUT, she remembers her faith and sings old hymns over and over for comfort from her fear of not remembering other things.
Will be praying for you and Sharon today too. Love in Christ, Cherie Snow

Hi Dewey,

Great stores Dewey, especially the little boy and the shoes and the other little boy "helping the old man cry". Made me weep. Thanks, Frank (The Old Texan) Haley cjf Isa. 9:6"When the sunshine of God's love meets the showers of our sorrow, the rainbow of promise appears."

Dewey, PLEASE watch this……KKIM sure helped me get through this election, what a wonderful job you all did…..THANK YOU, Jan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I0DRk8dFjI

Dewey, there's a rumor going around that "God owns the cattle on a thousand hills." Think He might sell a few? You'll enjoy this illustration I used recently on one of my programs, in that regard:
"Shortly after Dallas Theological Seminary was founded in 1924, it almost came to the point of bankruptcy. All the creditors were going to foreclose at noon on a particular day. That morning they met in the president’s office with Dr. Chafer for prayer that God would provide. In that prayer meeting was a man by the name of Dr. Harry Ironside. When it was his turn to pray, he prayed in his characteristic manner:

“Lord, we know that the cattle on a thousand hills are Yours. Please sell some of them and send us the money.”

While they were praying, a tall Texan with boots on and an open collar stepped up to the business office outside and said, “I just sold two carloads of cattle and I feel compelled to give the money to the seminary. I don’t know if you need it or not, but here’s the check!”

A little secretary took the check and, knowing how critical things were financially, rushed to the door of the prayer meeting and timidly tapped. When she finally got a response, Dr. Chafer took the check out of her hand. It was exactly the amount of the debt! When he looked at the name, he recognized the cattleman in Ft. Worth, and turning to Dr. Ironside he said, 'Harry, God sold the cattle!'"

Dewey, any cattlemen out there in the KKIM family"

Here is a great story from our AWESOME FRIEND NIK..............

May His Son bless you from today on out!

Why do I always have to be the one that starts to do laundry and there's no detergent? I guess it was time for me to do my 'Dollar Store' run, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags and Clorox. So off I went.I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies, and headed for the checkout counter only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man that appeared to be about sixteen years old. I wasn't in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there...This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, 'Mommy, I'm over here.' It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged, and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, "Hey Buddy, what's your name?""My name is Denny and I'm shopping with my mother," he responded proudly."Wow," I said, "that's a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Hal.""Hal like Halloween?" he asked."Yes," I answered. "How old are you, Denny?""How old am I now, Mommy?" he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle."You're fifteen-years-old Denny; now be a good boy and let the man pass by."

I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement because he was the center of someone's attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.Denny's mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son.She told me that most people wouldn't even look at him, much less talk to him... I told her that it was my pleasure and then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the prompting of the Holy Spirit.I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow and pink roses in God's garden, however, 'Blue Roses' are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a 'Blue Rose' and if someone doesn't stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they've missed a blessing from God.She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, "Who are you?"Without thinking I said, "Oh, I'm probably just a 'daffodil or maybe even a dandelion," but I sure love living in God's garden.
Be blessed, Be safe, Be Alright.
Help Others and God will take care of you.Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved.
God Bless you all, Dewey Sharon and family
Please keep praying for each other and our families.

Suport Cross International

Hi KKIM Family, It was over 2 years ago that my dear friend Tom Lewis came to KKIM and helped raise funds for Cross International that helps the poorest of the poor, orphans. All day November 19th and for a half day on November 20th Tom and his brother Robert will be on the air to talk to you about the efforts of Cross International and the need for funds. Please prayfully consider taking part in this HUGE effort to raise funds for orphans.

MIDWEEK CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Go check out www.mykkim.com we have a special effort to aid orphans starting next week with Cross International. Please go check out the info and please pray about taking part in this HUGE effort. You can take part no matter where you are at......Minnesota, New York, California, wherever........just make sure and indicate you are part of the KKIM family. Thanks so much.

The first person to email me get's a free copy of the Christmas book, "A Shepherds Prayer"

Reflect on this and spend time in prayer............

Am I depending on myself to do what only God can do?

Am I depending on God to do what HE expects me to do?

Those are very impactive questions! WOW! think about it and pray about it.

I think that is why a life of prayer is so important.......to seek the Lord's Will in everything to sort through the challenges we face everyday. Life get's crazy at times and we may get in a hurry and act impulsive.

Today I post a note from our dear friend Pastor Don Kimbro who is out of the hospital! We should be hearing any day now on the test results of Pastor Vic. Please keep this matter in your prayers.

Hi Dewey,Thank you so much for speaking to our Seniors yesterday. Mark tells me it was a wonderful message and event to honor our older generation. I am back in the land of the living. I was freed yesterday morning, too late to make it to church but thankful for the healing. My diagnosis was gastrointestinal bleeding from a diverticuli. It was painless but a lot of blood loss. Doctor said this type of bleeding usually clears up on its own in 48 hours. Dewey, we prayed (and so many others with us) that Jesus would do to this older man's body, what He did to the woman with an issue of blood. In less than 18 hours after being hospitalized, the blood flow stopped and has not reoccurred. Praise His wonderful Name! Thank you for your calls and prayers and those of your faithful audience. My church family surrounded me with many, many prayers, as well. Prayers and our LORD get it done, don't they?. God bless.Pastor Don

Yes, KKIM Family prayer is so AWESOME it is our communication to our FATHER. We can talk to our FATHER all the time!

The Lord told me years ago to pray and care for many. Thank you for being part of it............here is another thought on prayer from Oswald Chambers........

Impulse in anyone but a child is dangerous; it is the sign of something unstable and unreliable. Determination means to fix the form of our choice, and God demands that we use this power when we pray. The majority of us waste our time in mere impulses in prayer.

I was talking to Pastor Don about seeking the Lord's Will and he sent this.........

Dewey, keep this scripture in mind as you ponder and pray for God's will:Trust in the LORD and do good.Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart.Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it.He will bring forth your righteousness as the light. And your judgment as the noonday.Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him. — Psm. 37:3-7 (NAS)

Thank you Pastor Don!

Today think the Lord ordered this up for all of us...........

These are such GOODIES!!!! Thanks for passing them along Nik!

Every once in awhile someone sends me an Email that really hits me. This is> one of those:>> Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked> to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.>> The winner was:>> A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman,> who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went> into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.> When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy> just said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry.'>> *********************************************>> Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family> where one little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the> other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted. A little> girl said, 'I know all about adoption, I was adopted..'>> 'What does it mean to be adopted?', asked another child.>> 'It means', said the girl, 'that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of> her tummy!'>> *********************************************>> On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a Little League base ball game> that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench> on the first-base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was ?>> 'We're behind 14 to nothing,' he answered with a smile.>> 'Really,' I said. 'I have to say you don't look very discouraged.'>> 'Discouraged?', the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face...'Why should> we be discouraged? We haven't been up to bat yet.'>> *********************************************>> Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about> little Jamie Scott.>> Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that> he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.>> On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after> school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.> 'Guess what, Mom,' he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a> lesson to me.....'I've been chosen to clap and cheer.>> *********************************************>> An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in December, some> years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe> store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering> with cold.>> A lady approached the young boy and said, 'My, but you're in such deep> thought staring in that window!'>> 'I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes,' was the boy's reply.>> The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to> get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give> her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her.>> She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her> gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.>> By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the> boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes.>> She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him.. She patted> him on the head and said, 'No doubt, you will be more comfortable now'>> As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking> up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her,>> 'Are you God's wife?'

God Bless you all and please keep praying for each other and our families, Dewey Sharon and family
