URGENT PRAYER NEED/LESSONS KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Let us pray for Brenda's and Curtis's Family.........I got this note from Brenda late yesterday afternoon........

Dearest Dewey,
Please have all the wonderful people that read the Daily Cup pray for Curtis and his family, his brother-in-law died from a heart attack on Thanksgiving morning, and his sister, Marlene is suffering from Breast cancer.. she is ill and lost her husband. Curtis is leaving for Philadelphia
tomorrow. I know the prayers will uplift the family.
In hope,
Brenda Towle-Younger

We are praying Brenda! Let us pray for Curtis and his family.

Please also pray for Jannetta who is our web master, she took ill over Thanksgiving, in her busy time of year at Albuquerque Rescue Mission.

Please pray for Jeff as he looks for a job.

Please pray for the growing number of homeless people in New Mexico and our Country and those 1 in 6 New Mexicans who are hungry each day. (that figure provided by The Storehouse and Roadrunner Food Bank)

Special interview at 6am Sunday on KKIM dealing with hunger in our State.

Please pray for Pastor Bob and family as they go about the Christmas season without Bob's Dad who recently passed away, the same for Yvette who just lost her Dad, Orlando, and for Cathy whose Mother passed away.

We need to be in prayer for each other and our families.

As I got up this morning.........I actually slept in till 6:30!!!! LOL!!! We have been having a ball with family! As I spent time with God this morning and listening to God speak to my heart.......He sent me to two things.........I now I will share them with you as that is how it works.....

There are the results of a survey in Christianity Today Dec 2009 that Americans who pray daily is up from 54% in 1983 to 59% in 2006. Church attendance has gone down from 32% in 1983 to 26% in 2006 and there is a new survey that put's regular Church attendance at under 20%! What is happening? I find more and more people who read the Cup and listen to KKIIM do not have a home Church. What does this trend mean? I find here at KKIM and the CUP people are spending more time in prayer and more time in God's Word. I see lives changing, every week! I see it at my Church!

Maybe someone can share with me what the figures were for Church attendance in the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, and 70's!

There are so many figures out there on everything.......so many surveys on all sorts of issues AND NON-ISSUES! It get's down right confusing.

There is so much NOTHING NOISE out in the world today! Pastor Barry Dickens told me that years ago.

So we have to focus on what we know........

We have an almighty God and we are called to put on His armor on everyday and fulfill the Great Commission!

(Dewey's comments)

In his book, "Hearing God", Dallas Willard explains that if we could envision ourselves in a Bible story, then we'd view the Bible less as dogma and doctrine and more like our own reality. (FOLKS, PLEASE READ THE BIBLE, LET THE LORD SHOW YOU WHAT HE NEEDS TO, THROUGH READING HIS WORD) Willard writes that Biblical men and women were no different than men and women of any generation, saying, "If we are really to understand the Bible record, we must enter into a study of it on the assumption that the experiences recorded there are basically of the same type as ours would have been if we had been there. Those who lived through those experiences felt very much as we would have if we had been in their place. Unless this comes home to us, the things that happened to the people in the Bible will remain unreal to us. We will not genuinely be able to believe the Bible or find its contents to be real, because it will have no experiential substance for us."

Beck Tirabassi in her book, "Let God Talk to You", encourages us to give it a try......

Put your self within the mix of the writers of the Psalms as their friends or family members were mocking them or their employers were hunting them down to destroy them. Can you relate to their struggles? Do you have similar needs or concerns? (I am sure we all do)

As you read the following passages, do they inspire you to direct these words toward the living, loving God or to make them your own?

Psalm 138, verse 3 says, "As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength"

Psalm 25 verse 14 says, Give me understanding......reassure me of your promise"

One hundred and fifty Psalms contain written conversation of those who knew God talked to them directly. This belief is evidenced by the way they POURED OUT THEIR HEARTS TO HIM, as if to say, "Talk to me!" Packed with verbal expressions of NEED, HOPE, AND INQUIRY, the Psalmists transparently and honestly relayed their utter dependence on a God they could not see but were convinced was always present and available to talk to them. Verse after verse of the Psalms has the ability to carry you away to a place of passionate, emotional, two way conversations with God.

PRAISE GOD! For God's Glory Alone!

As Ronnie Floyd said, "Our personal walk with Jesus Christ determines everything in our life!"

He also states, "In this busy, fast paced, high tech, schedule driven world, (FULL OF A LOT OF NOTHING NOISE) we can lose our focus very easily. In other words, the lens can become very blurred."

(Do not let your Biblical lens become partly cloudy!)

Floyd continues, "You cannot control the world, or even various facets of your own world! What you can do is focus in on one hour every day that will give you the potential to see things the way God does as He empowers you to live and minister supernaturally."

So my friends, this is what the Lord wanted me to share with you today........These are not my words, these words are delivered to me by the Lord and He directs me to share with you. THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!!!

So develop your personal relationship with Jesus Christ through reading His word and praying. Have a Pastor and Church family guide you along in this wonderful journey.

Next week, Lord willing, a God given post by Karen Rowe on prayer! I have read it , it is so AWESOME in our LORD!

Let us pray...............

Lord, we pray that we will develop a stronger, personal relationship with You and Your Word and be a shining light to all. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ,

GOD'S DAY Not black Fri Cup KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Today is God's day...as all are......It is not BLACK FRIDAY.......The things man does.......

You must realize that your fulfillment in life is dependent on your becoming and doing what you were born to be and do. Anything less makes life your enemy and death your friend. It is essential, vital, crucial, and necessary that you understand this fundamental principle of purpose and pursue it with all your heart. For without purpose, life has no heart. Remember, those who don’t know where they are going will probably end up someplace else.

Dr. Myles Munroe

As I read those words this morning.......many thoughts went through my head..........

We were giving thanks last night for what the Lord has done in the life of daughter Gretchen....

She will graduate Dec. 18th from the University of New Mexico with a double major in Philosophy and Psychology.

It hit me last night........looking back at Gretchen's journey that she has had to overcome much.........just like all of us!

It's just that we all have different obstacles and twists in the road........

Gretchen almost passed away at 8 wks in South Bend, Indiana, She was given her last rights by Father Ken. We were Catholic at the time.

She has been on a God given journey since and now our little "Pie" is about to graduate from UNM.

Friend Brian (Crash) Miller gave her that nickname because Gretchen is sweet as pie!

Gretchen surely knows where she is going.......it is my prayer that you do to!

We will close with this today..........

Romans 12: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
20 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Happy Thanksgiving CUP!! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Sharon, the Kids, and Doggies, and I pray that you all have a very Blessed Time with Family this Thanksgiving....We Open our Door to you if you do not have family around and live in the area email me and you are welcomed in our home!

We thank you all for your love and friendship!

Thank you all for your encouragement in what we do! Your words are like honey to the soul!

Please check out Billy Graham's Thanksgiving message at www.mykkim.com

Please check out our schedule of Jerry Stewart's Thanksgiving Radio Special www.mykkim.com Brought to you by John Chitwood of Southern Blvd. Automotive in Rio Rancho.....Service you can trust!

Let us give thanks for the KKIM Radio Ministry.......It is right to give thanks to the Lord!

Please pray for Jeff he was let go yesterday......he has no job to go to today.

Let us pray for all those looking for work.

Let us also pray for all those feeding the hungry this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Jannetta of Albuquerque Rescue Mission thanks all of you who have stepped up to the plate and donated Turkeys. Joy Junction is still in need. Roadrunner and The Storehouse need our help to feed the Hungry.

1 in 6 New Mexicans are at risk when it comes to a basic need........FOOD!

That figure was confirmed yesterday in my conversation with Lee Maynard the head of The Storehouse in Albuquerque. Lee said that, thankfully donations to The Storehouse are keeping up with the dramatic increase. That is a true testament of the Albuquerque area, rising up to feed God's people. But we still have a lot of work to do. Today I interview the CEO of Roadrunner Food Bank, who are sending trucks all over the State now to feed the hungry. That will air at 6am Sunday morning on KKIM.

It is a bitter pill for me to swallow, when the taxpayers of this state pay the University of New Mexico Football and Basketball Coach almost a total of 2 million dollars when you factor in all the extra's like cars, travel etc.....

As State Rep. Nora Espinoza said, "No tax increases, the State needs to manage it's money better. period."

AMEN! Nora!

While people go hungry......we pay coaches almost 2 mil........and the list goes on and on with wasted spending.

It is time for a revolution in Government.......It is time for the People to take back our Country!

Our Government does not even have a compass anymore.........it got lost in the money pit!

Albuquerque area.and the whole state of New Mexico is proving this Thanksgiving that it is the People who get the job done!!!! It is not the Government! It is the people who are feeding God's people!

Shame on our Government for wasted spending.......Shame on us for letting this happen.........

Before I end my rant...........

Albuquerque Mayor Elect Berry was on NM News and Views last night with us and revealed that the City is facing a 17 to 20 mil budget deficit! There our other "presents" that the Chavez Administration is leaving behind for Mayor Elect Berry, such as protection for Drunk Firefighters.....etc........Let us keep Mr. Berry and his family and staff covered in prayer as they take office.

Okay end of rant................

Let me finish with this..........

"He who laughs lasts" Church sign LOL

"Life is about the people around you.....not in your blackberry or iPhone." Eric Schmidt CEO of Google I gotta watch that one!

"Prayer-------the original wireless connection." Church sign LOVE THAT ONE!

"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday." Church sign AMEN to that!

Thanks to Pastor Mark Tross for sharing the following book with me.......

This is the message the Lord has put on my heart for Thanksgiving..........From Jack Hayford's book, "Living The Spirit Formed Life"

Hebrews 13:10

Says we have an alter unlike any other altar, referring to what we have through the New Covenant: a means of intimately approaching the living God. It affords a BOLDNESS of access, for we do not have a High Priest who cannot be touched with our feelings of weakness; instead, He is sensitive to all we feel. He readily hears us and invites us, "Come boldly to the throne of grace" Heb. 4:16

A classic hymn asks, "Is Your All on the Altar?"

You have longed for sweet peace, and for faith to increase,

And have earnestly, fervently prayed;

But you cannot have rest or be perfectly blest,

Until all on the altar is laid.

Would you walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,

And have peace and contentment always;

You must do His sweet will to be free from all ill,

On the altar your all you must lay.

Oh, we never can know what the Lord will bestow

Of the blessings for which we have prayed,

Till our body and soul He doth fully control,

And our all on the altar is laid.

Who can tell all the love He will send from above,

And how happy our hearts will be made,

Of the fellowship sweet we shall share at His feet,

When our all on the altar is laid.

Refrain:

Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?

Your heart, does the Spirit control?

You can only be blest and have peace and sweet rest,

As you yield Him your body and soul.

Our prayer is this.........Let us all yield our body and soul to You Oh LORD! In Jesus name, AMEN!

Thanksgiving CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!

Thank you for your friendship!!

May the Peace and Strength of our Lord be with you and yours!!!

With all the bad things happening many ask God, "Why don't you do something about it?" I think God asks us the same question! - Pastor Troy Taylor of Grace Assembly Bakersfield, California

Please go to www.mykkim.com for our Thanksgiving message this year from Billy Graham. The message is entitled, Six Things We Can learn From The Pilgrims.

Also when you go to www.mykkim.com you can check out our special Thanksgiving programming with Jerry Stewart.

Sunday was an AWESOME day in the Lord....I was so blessed to be able to assist Pastor Jim in the Baptism of two adults! It was my first baptism as Associate Pastor. Their two small children were there with Mom and Dad.........Dad has been drug free for 8 months......he was nervous about being baptized......he did want to be baptized and then slide back into drug abuse.......After talking and praying........he was baptized .......please pray for Alex. I told him we would be praying and we would, as God's family stick with him and his family. This fit's in with the quote from Pastor Troy at the top....what can we do? We can reach out to others!

At Sunday School Wanell taught on the Ten Commandments......I had never heard such an excellent lesson on the Ten commandments! It had been too long since I had heard anyone speak on the Commandments! Are they posted in your Church? Home? My Uncle Joe says that America is where it is at because many do not pay attention to the 10 Commandments!

The Ten Commandments are simple enough for a child to understand and follow; yet they profoundly govern the deepest desires of the human heart. They affirm that people were meant for God, for family, and for one another. They offer firm and healthy boundaries for worship, work, and marriage. Without them, the Bible would be incomplete, since much of Jesus teaching ministry reflects on them. Because of this, they have remained in the center of Western culture for centuries, and although they continue to experience pressure in our ever changing world, they will always remain at the center of the life of the people of God.

Many are trying to push the Ten Commandments out of the United States of America.......Many Church's do not even post them anymore!

Let us as God's people absorb the Ten Commandments.......Let us study the Ten Commandments......As the writing says above they are simple enough for a child to understand and follow, yet they profoundly govern the deepest desires of the human heart.....Sometimes I really think Man has made a mess of God's message and has turned into a bunch "Nothing Noise" when the Lord has given us the Bible and the 10 Commandments........what else do we need?

I also encourage you to get a copy of the Constitution of the United States of America and read it and post it. Many of our leaders do not pay attention to the Constitution. I don't think many of our leaders call our Country, The United States of America anymore? Do they?

Food for thought.................

Take action today........read and pray over the Ten Commandments

Over the Thanksgiving weekend get yourself a copy of the United States of America Constitution

Let us as God's people get back to the basics!

This can only happen when our focus is not on ourselves.....................

In this busy, fast-paced, high tech, schedule-driven world, we can lose our focus very easily. In other words, the lens can be very blurred.

But not Sams...........

Dearest Dewey,
Today was another wonderful day the Lord has made. I was so touched today by our Lord, I want to share it with you. I had forgotten to fill my prescription in the nearest small town close to me,and I found out it is closed on week-ends, so I had to travel to the main hospital to fill it. When I arrived, there were about fifty people in line. I've never seen so many people in a line before. But I went up to the 'Order' window that only had two people. And they told me there, that I would have to wait at least an hour before it would be ready. So in about 65 min's. I got into the long line thinking my name would pop up once I did get to the beginning of it. And it did after about twenty minutes and half way to the end of the line. And finally, there I was only three more people to go, with at least another fifty behind me, When out of the corner of my eye, I saw a very elderly man coming down the hall to get into line, it took him a minute to do, very slow, unsecured steps. The Lord put it on my heart to go to him, and give him my place in line. When I walked him back up to get in my place, it was time for him to go straight up for his medicine. But Dewey, on my way back to the end of the line, EVERYONE was making the comment of "how very sweet of you" and "Aww's" were coming from everywhere, Plus, no one was upset anymore with the long wait, people actually started talking to each other and me. It was wonderful. I was so full of the Love of our Savior. He filled me with such peace and love I am still just beaming. He knew Every Heart of Every Person that was in that line today. He Knew that just one jester would touch Every One of them, and boy did it!! When the Lord speaks to us, if we listen and do what He puts on our hearts, Not just us are rewarded, But everyone that witnesses it. I don't have a clue what those people needed today. But God Did. And apparently they just needed to witness a little love and respect for our fellow man. This little elderly fellow was dressed in baggy sweat pants, and shuffled his feet like it were his last steps. He beamed to me, and that was enough for me to return to the end of the line I had just worked my way through. His thankfulness was reward enough, but NO, our Lord Blessed each and Every person there, Not just me. PRAISE GOD!! just wanted to share a moment of my day with you. Love, sam

Thank you Sam........That is a wonderful Thanksgiving story.......giving of yourself......the simple things in life.......not putting yourself first.........

Let us pray..............

Lord, Thank you Father for giving us all we need and more.......Thank you for Your Word...Thank you for the Ten Commandments........Thank you for the United States of America.......In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

"Extend your soul to the hungry." isa. 58:10

Dear KKIM Family,

"Extend your soul to the hungry." Isa. 58:10

That was Tweeted to me today by Max Lucado. It fit's the message the Lord has put on my heart.......Jannetta LaMort, yes our very own, she does the web site for the Daily Cup, She gives most of her life to the Albuquerque Rescue Mission. The Mission is very short of the number of Turkey's it needs for this years Dinner for the hungry! Only about 300 at this point, normally about 1,000 at this time. Please help. Call the Mission for directions to drop off your Turkeys, phone..........346-4673 the address is 525 2nd St SW Albuquerque.

Today the Lord also sent me to this message from Andrew Murray.........

Wait upon God..............

then this scripture........

Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10

I think we get in a hurry to serve God, but we do not wait for God.......We do not listen..........

Murray states that we do not realize that the aim of conversion is to bring us into daily fellowship with the Father in heaven.

For the believer, taking time each day with God's Word and in prayer is indespensable. Each day we need to wait upon God for His presence and His love to be revealed.

In other words fill up your gas tank with God's word and in prayer each day before taking off! ABSORB IT LIKE A SPONGE!

We have been talking about the writings of Ronnie Floyd and spending one hour a day with God. I have spent about 2 1/2 hrs with Him today.........I shut everything down....even the radio.......that's a big deal for me..........I had a great time listening to God!!! I repeat I HAD A GREAT TIME LISTENING TO GOD!!!!

I am processing, praying over what God told me at this point.

We must understand, Murray writes, that we have no power on our own to maintain our spiritual life. We need to receive daily new grace from heaven through fellowship with the Lord Jesus, AMEN!

Let me share this with you from Pastor Mark Tross.....God's Word.........this came up during the taping of our TV Program........Some in the Church doubting God's word........

Hey Dewey,
Here's the info you requested, which I suppose most people will hear for themselves, should they choose to watch 'Open Doors' on KZAQ in three weeks, Sat. @ 6pm & Sun. @ 7pm. As far as I can remember, the question was regarding 'doubting The Bible,' so I'll take it from there. First off, one must make the choice to believe that The Bible is The Word of God or not, but if one chooses to believe that It Is, then we must take It for what It's Worth. The Word of God confirms itself, that it is Spirit & Truth, which Jesus Himself said and that the Holy Spirit is to lead and guide us in, plus the statement by the Apostle Paul that ALL Scripture is God Breathed. Jesus also declared that His Word was Spirit & Life, so let's break a few things down, as this brief lesson could and should turn out to be a life long journey. If I doubt The Word of God, then I must doubt God Himself, especially Jesus, Who Is the express Image of The Father, If you've seen Him, you've seen The Father. Christians especially must be people of Faith, because without it you can not please God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing what? The Word of God! Jesus is The Author & Finisher of our Faith, The Author of Life itself. Even in Old Testament times, you will read in the writing of Moses and other Prophets, The Word of The Lord came to me and said... The Book of Hebrews, which depicts Christ, The Anointed One and Our Salvation (In Hebrew The Word is Yeshua, which is where we get The Name, which is above ALL others, JESUS), as Our High Priest, you'll read, God spoke to us in times past through angels & Moses, but TODAY, which is The Day of SALVATION, He has (and still does) Speak to us through and In His Son, Jesus, which The Book of Revelation, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, says IS THE WORD OF GOD! Get the picture? Paul wrote in The Letter to the Ephesians that The Word of God IS The Will of God, so let's break that down to where the rubber meets the road, if you close yourself off from The Book, which is what The Word 'Bible' means in German, you shut yourself off from The Will Of God! In Genesis, God Spoke, saying Light Be and Light Was, Jesus said, I AM The Light of the world and now He says, "You are The Light of the world, so let your Light shine!" The Church should be looking unto Him, The Word of God, in every situation and circumstance, especially Today! Do you want to be a Spirit FILLED Christian, filled with the FULLNESS Of God, as Paul told The Church in Ephesus? God Is Spirit, His Word Is Spirit and It Is LIFE Eternal, Everlasting and Abundant! This Is The Written Word Of God and Jesus, Our Lord & Savior IS The Living Word Of God. He IS The Way, The Truth & The Life! Get the picture? Today you'll hear about winning the lottery, "You gotta be in it to win it," well in order to live The Life (When Christ Who Is Your Life Appears) that Jesus purchased for ALL of us, by shedding His Precious Blood (Life Is In The Blood) on The Cross (The Cross Is An Offense To Those Who Are Perishing), we must follow His Word, Will & Way! From Genesis to Revelation, God's Word Is Faithful & True, so let us be like Abraham, our Father of Faith and Believe God, cling to, trust in and rely on Him and His Word, which He has given us. Peter wrote that God has given us everything we need to live our life unto Him and it's all found In His Holy & Precious Word! That's about it for now, as I don't want to wear anybody out, but let me encourage you to get into The Word (DAILY) and allow HIM to get into YOU! You'll find much more information and many Messianic Prophecy Teachings on my website.
Blessings,

Let us close in prayer over Phillipians 4:6-7...............

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

PRAYER NEED JUST IN

Dear KKIM Family..........Here is a prayer need..........Let us all be careful as we drive and also be aware that with the time change Kid's are out in the dark.....

Hi Dewey,

Two days ago a 12 year-old boy, Logan Collins, from White Rock, NM was stepping from a bus to attend basketball practice at the middle school. When he stepped around the bus, he was hit by a truck. He was airlifted to Alb and died yesterday.

Please pray for his family (mom Tonya, dad Floyd, and three siblings), the guy who hit him (I believe an EMT or paramedic in Santa Fe who lives in Los Alamos), for the bus driver, and for the people who witnesses it (including four other boys who were headed to practice with Logan.)

Life is precious.

I can just picture in my mind and soul the love between Grandpa and Grandson! What a strong bond! Let us pray for Heath's Grandpa and Heath and his family......I pray that you have or had a strong relationship with your Grandparents. Many of you did not have that opportunity but had others in your life that acted like your Grandparents. There are also those sadly, that did not have anyone. Heath has become a good friend keeping us up to date on news through out the state.

The Lord has called us to be the Salt and Light of the World. We are to bring the Truth forward. The other night, Manny Vildasol was on NM News and Views, he is a Pastor and assistant in the NM Sec. Of State's Office and he spoke out boldly in our Lord about Corruption in our State Government. Let us Praise God for BOLD People like Manny......It is important to add that Secretary Of State Mary Herrera gave Manny permission to speak on these issues, which is HUGE! Thank you Mary and Manny.

Hola Dewey,

I enjoyed yesterdays engaging discourse. It's very sad that our elected officials for the most part are either directly involved in corruption or know behind the scenes what's going on and say and do nothing. The same can be said for many of our spiritual leaders. I do not forget that there are others like yourself within the body of Christ that are more than pulling their weight. Thank you for the great work and solid foundation that you are laying down for encouraging others to join in the battle!

I thought I'd send you this e-mail. Being that I am a Vietnam Era Veteran, it disgusts me to see President Obama openly refuse to salute our flag and all that it stands for.

If there is ever a time to raise up against Tyranny, it is now! In 1970, Walt Kelly stated, "We Have Met The Enemy and He Is Us!" This says it all!

Have a Blessed and Productive Day!

P.S. "Evil prevails when good people stand by and do nothing."

Manny F. Vildasol

Here is another note that we got.......

We thank God for you both and ask THE Lord Jesus to bless you as only He Can! Lovingly, Erick & Nancy Q

"Measure wealth not by the things you have, but by
the things you have for which you would not take money".

It's a blessing in getting that Honey message, as I call them, from Erick and Nancy.....and that the Quote they sent ties right in with today's message from Max Lucado........

Here is something to chew on and pray over from Max.........

Pursue the Virtue of Contentment
by Max Lucado

A businessman bought popcorn from an old street vendor each day after lunch. He once arrived to find the peddler closing up his stand at noon. “Is something wrong?” he asked.

A smile wrinkled the seller’s leathery face. “By no means. All is well.”

“Then why are you closing your popcorn stand?”

“So I can go to my house, sit on my porch, and sip tea with my wife.”

The man of commerce objected. “But the day is still young. You can still sell.”

“No need to,” the stand owner replied. “I’ve made enough money for today.”

“Enough? Absurd. You should keep working.”

The spry old man stopped and stared at his well-dressed visitor. “And why should I keep working?”

“To sell more popcorn.”

“And why sell more popcorn?”

“Because the more popcorn you sell, the more money you make. The more money you make, the richer you are. The richer you are, the more popcorn stands you can buy. The more popcorn stands you buy, the more peddlers sell your product, and the richer you become. And when you have enough, you can stop working, sell your popcorn stands, stay home, and sit on the porch with your wife and drink tea.”

The popcorn man smiled. “I can do that today. I guess I have enough.”

Wise was the one who wrote, “Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income” (Eccles. 5:10 NIV).

Don’t heed greed.

Greed makes a poor job counselor.

Greed has a growling stomach. Feed it, and you risk more than budget-busting debt. You risk losing purpose. Greed can seduce you out of your sweet spot.

Before you change your job title, examine your perspective toward life. Success is not defined by position or pay scale but by this: doing the most what you do the best.

Parents, give that counsel to your kids. Tell them to do what they love to do so well that someone pays them to do it.

Spouses, urge your mate to choose satisfaction over salary. Better to be married to a happy person who has a thin wallet than a miserable person with a thick one. Besides, “a pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain and simple life is a full life” (Prov. 13:7 MSG).

Pursue the virtue of contentment. “Godliness with contentment is great gain” (1 Tim. 6:6 NIV). When choosing or changing jobs, be careful. Consult your design. Consult your Designer. But never consult your greed.

PRAYER NEED KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

The Lord is so pleased when His people come together in prayer for each other!

That is our calling here at KKIM and the CUP! We have over 1,000 Prayer Warriors

our list get's passed on to Church's and prayer groups all over the World!

Please pray over this from our Dear, Dear Friend Helen..........

Good morning, Dewey,

Thank you for your e-mail each day. I love to pray for the needs listed and there is always something that really speaks to my heart.

I have a prayer request for a very dear friend of mine. I have known Herb & Mary Balderston since I was a baby and since both of my parents are gone, they have become like parents to me and grandparents to my children. Mary had a stroke last Thursday morning and was just moved from ICU to a rehab hospital in Loveland, CO yesterday. She is paralyzed on her left side and cannot swallow at all. She can speak, with some difficulty, and thankfully, her mind seems clear and alert. There's a lot more details, but basically she would really appreciate your prayers for her recovery. We are planning on driving up to Loveland on Friday and spending the weekend there. Mary had a feeding tube inserted into her stomach yesterday and her inability to swallow is one of the biggest concerns as she can't even drink a sip of water without choking and the possibility of aspiration pneumonia. She has an incredibly strong spirit and is very determined to work with the therapists and get better. I did finally get to speak with her yesterday evening and one of the things she said to me was "don't ever take anything for granted". Wow, definitely wise words to live by because you never know when something like this could happen. Thank you so much for praying for her.

A Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Dewey!

Blessings,

Helen Evans

Abba,

Thank You for Dewey’s dear Uncle Joe. To this day, he is your servant, a model to all. May the times he’s disoriented be few; may he know Your Presence, fell your arms around him in those moments. We rejoice that Uncle Joe knows You so very well personally. Your Word is in his mind and heart. Thank You for bringing it to him clearly to calm and reassure him.

L-rd, we trust You to make it possible for Dewey to talk to his Uncle Joe, even though there’s no phone in his room.

Thank You that Ruach HaKodesh, your Holy Spirit has, and continues to intercede for what we haven’t yet asked and for what we can’t yet ask.

We love and praise You Abba! Hallelu – Yah!

Eric and Chris

PRAISE CUP!!!!! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Strength and Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and yours!

Let us give Praise and Glory to God!

Let us be thankful in all things!

Thank you for sharing a CUP with us today!

Here are some words of wisdom........

The common denominator of success lies in forming the habit of doing things that failures don't like to do. -Albert Gray

I have read that over and over.......so true!

WE have Three AWESOME PRIASE NOTES!

"So I will strengthen them in the Lord,

And they shall walk up and down in His name,"

Says the Lord.

I just got off the phone with my Uncle Joe and he knew, he could feel, your prayers! He is doing much better as they get in the infection under control......he kept telling me to take care of myself as I am so much needed in this world today....I had to keep from crying as he spoke those words, as I am just a humble servant like you all. From his bed this 93 year old speaks such wisdom of God. This is a man who had 18 foster children and also adopted 4 more children plus his own 3 children. Joe's wife Mary passed on years ago.

He always has been a Man of God.......just like my Dad and Mom and Grandparents.

This verse fit's them.........my favorite.............

My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24

I have been handed a tremendous Christian Heritage.

PRAISE NOTE:
Dearest Dewey, Yes indeed. The 'Cup' this wonderful day did enlighten my heart. It was very special today Dewey. The Spirit of our Savior was around me with only the Warmth that He can give. Aren't we lucky Dewey to be living in this time? A time the Lord has made.
My tests came back FINE! Thank you Prayer Warriors. My heart is full
Sincerely, Sam

Dewey,
Thanks for a good cup. I'll lift your uncle up in prayer. I think the Christian legacy in your family is awesome. Although I grew up with parents who modeled Christian principles and who did a great job, I didn't have the outward legacy enjoyed by many. That is now my prayer, that a strong and visible Christian legacy will start with me and be passed down to those who will come after me.

I don't know if that was your intention with your Cup, but you never know what God is going to do with your words. I guess that's why it's important to choose them carefully :)

Have a blessed day, Dewey!

s

Thanks for that good Word Dewey, I'm praying for Uncle Joe, sounds like a very Godly man, wish I knew him, but I'll get to meet him in glory

PRAISE REPORT:

My 31 year old daughter Lydia and her 4 year old daughter were protected by the Lord's Hand yesterday, they are on I-25 going 75 mph when the right rear tire on their van blew out, exploded, she was able to stop the vehicle with out any problems. Triple A came and changed the tire, Praise the Lord that they did not flip over and crash. Praise Jesus forever, For God's Glory alone. Frank cjf

My life's verse: Isa. 9:6

My "getting through the day" saying:

"When the sunshine of God's love meets the showers of our sorrow, the rainbow of promise appears."

Dewey, keeping your Uncle Joe in my heart today and praying for him.
Also praying that he will feel contentment and joy and feel loved right
where he is.
Also praying for you and Sharon and family. You are a good and
faithful warrior for Christ. I am so blessed to have re-connected with
you through the cup. Cherie

Let us pray...........

Lord, Let us recall Your Word in Isaiah 45:9......Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker......an earthenware vessel among vessels of the earth! Will the clay say to the potter, "What are you doing?" Thank you Lord for Your Word........In Jesus name, AMEN!

Let us keep praying for each other and our families. We have over 1,000 prayer warriors!

Please Pray with us KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

We come to you today to ask you to pray for soon to be 94 Year Old Uncle Joe. he has been like a Dad to me since my Dad passed away years ago. He has been a Shepherd to me guiding me down the road to manage KKIM now being a Pastor. He was taken to the Hospital treated for an infection and a thyroid problem. He is confused at times and was transferred to a different facility. I cannot talk to him as he does not have a phone in his room. He is in Edina, Minnesota.

Joe is one that has given much in his life to others. I picture him alone in that room.......I know God has sent Angels to him........Please pray for Peace and comfort for Joe, and pray for our family.

This morning I share this with you...........Something Uncle Joe has done over the years is pray and read the Lord's Word everyday..........

We have been talking about spending One Hour a day with God...there is nothing more important.......Our personal relationship with God is more important than anything else.
Reading the Cup and praying is part of it........but we need to turn our lives over to Him.

This is From Chuck Swindoll..........

It may be, at this very moment that you are close to one of the most important decisions you will ever make as a child of God. Through the days of your religious past, maybe you've sung the hymn by Adelaide Pollard, Have Thine Own Way..........

Have Thine own way, Lord! Thine own way.

Thou art the potter, I am the clay.

Mold me and make me After Thy will,

While I am waiting, Yielded and still.

That is so AWESOME!

Let us give all of ourselves to the Lord..........

Have you begun to say, "God, I mean business this time. I'm tired of leaning on the weak crutch of my own understanding. I want to trust You with all me heart and soul. I don't want to just say something different, I want to be something different. I want to shed my skin and be anew in the Lord!

Today........My prayer is that you will be spending one hour a day with God.

How much time do we spend away from God?

If you would like to talk about that just email me. I will pray with you.

Let us keep praying for each other and our families.......Let us put on the Armor of God and carry out the Great Commission Today and everyday!

Please keep us in your prayers.

Let us pray............

Lord, we pray for your servant Joe Moede..we thank you for his faithful service to You and Your people over the years. We pray that the message today, encouraging Your children to spend time with You, touches the heart of many. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ,

A Cup full of Mail KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Praise God we are together today!

Sharon and I pray that the Lord grant you all His Strength and Peace!

Yesterday we talked about spending one hour a day with God. I have been working on this Cup since 5:30 this morning, it's almost 7am, praying as I am writing this to you! And reading scripture as I write to you.....Scripture that the Holy Spirit sends me to as I go about writing this Cup!!! It's so FUN!!! For God's Glory Alone!

Let us remember..........

"train yourself in godliness, for the training of the body has limited benefits, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come" 1 Tim. 4:7-8

There is nothing like being filled with God given passion!!!!!

I need to share with you this from my Twitter Account.........
I pray that more of you will join us on Twitter........ www.twitter.com/radiodewey

Sorry Folks, but our President is in way over his head! He makes mistake after mistake. We must pray for Godly leaders to be raised up in our Country!

Please pray for Our Dear friend Sam..........

Oh Dewey, Yet 'Another' very uplifting 'Cup' this beautiful 'God-Given Day'. I would like the 'prayer warriors' to remember me in their prayers this week. I have been having a different problem than my neck, and they will start tests on me tomorrow. I know that whatever the problem, our Lord Knows. So it is not a 'Big deal. Just a prayer that God will continue to give me His Peace while this is going on. That is all I can ask of Him.
Thank you in advance, sam p.s. what a blessing the story of 'Merry Christmas' was !! I plan on saying it ALOT this season! ;)

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas Sam!!!!

Yesterday we told you about the passing of Ret. Army Lt. Col. Orlando Greigo.....here is a note from KKIM health Coach Cindy Russell........

Dewey,

Thank you and our KKIM family so much for all your prayers for my Uncle Orlando! He was a Believer! During this difficult time, it gives us peace and strength knowing that he is with our Lord Jesus!

Abundant Blessings,

Cindy

We got an email from our Dear friend Kay who has known me for years and years..........

Dewey ~

RE: "There is nothing more important than spending time with God!" (from Monday's Cup)

Amen - You are 100% right on!

I appreciate the positive, encouraging tone of Cup after Cup.

~ Kay

I am praying for your Los Alamos house closing, refinancing for your Albuquerque house, for the Lord's guidance and provision for the shortfall in what you need to pay off your loan, and for what He wants you to learn through this. (We are all learning through life, if we are teachable.)

Sharon and I want to thank you all who have prayed for the sale of our Los Alamos house for almost 3 years!!!! The house sold on Thursday!!! PRAISE GOD!!! Many many have prayed for the sale of the house! We now are dealing with a financial shortfall in the sale........please pray for a resolution to that. We know that the Lord is foaming the runway for a resolution to that situation. Many, many American's are in the same boat as Sharon and I are in, Housing continues to lose it value. Our home that we purchased here in Albuquerque 2 1/2 years ago has lost over 100,000 in value! But the taxes have almost tripled! A huge problem in New Mexico, property taxes went way up!

As Kay refers to learning through this..Amen to that! We bought the home in Albuquerque under the condition we would be able to pay a loan off in a short time with the sale of the Los Alamos house. Huge mistake on our part, assuming the Los Alamos house would sell.

This has caused us great heart break....huge financial challenges........

Sharon and I refer to these scriptures.........

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6

AMEN to that! Sharon and I relied to much on our human knowledge and emotions through the start of this.

Also this scripture.......

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit". James 4:13

That tells the story.......Thank you Lord for giving Sharon and I the freedom in You to share this story to help others...to encourage others to seek You first in all decisions. We bought into the housing plan on too much emotions and did not seek the Lord's wisdom enough!

Looking back on 20/20 vision we would never had bought this house without the sale of the Los Alamos house first!

But we must seek the Lord in all decisions........Let us not lean on our own little wisdom......but the Lord's! His will not ours!

Thanks again my friends for letting us share this story with you...it's sort of a cleansing for Sharon and I to share this with you.

Please keep us in your prayers as we go about seeking the Lord's path in resolving this situation. We love you!

Now let's have some honey......honey to the soul.............We all need to share honey with each other to sooth the soul........

We’ve meant to congratulate you on becoming a Pastor in addition to your radio ministry work….you sound like a very motivated individual and a credit to the Lord’s work..

Bob & Laura Williams

Windom

Thank you Bob and Laura........and to Dave and Rahn and the www.windomnews.com for there write up!

Yesterday Michael had a little rant on Veterans Day and it resulted on the following letters from Dustin and Jay........

Dewey,

Here is an article a co-worker wrote. I thought this would be a good answer to Michael in Seattle.

Our Veterans

By Mark Everts

The air is getting colder, the leaves are falling and we are approaching not only the end of the calendar year, but the Holiday Season as well. We all have many things to be thankful for - our families, our health, and our jobs, to name a few.

But when we think of the Holiday Season, we often overlook one of the most inspiring days of remembrance of the entire year - Veteran's Day, November 11th.

The first recognition for our nation's veterans came at the end of World War I, when President Woodrow Wilson signed a declaration to make November 11th - then known as Armistice Day - a day of remembrance to honor those who gave their lives during The Great War.

In 1938, President Franklin Roosevelt made Armistice Day a national holiday. Citizens were encouraged to participate in parades, gatherings and observances and to decorate the graves of veterans in the nation's cemeteries.

In the early 1970's, Congress created a separate Veteran's Day, but observed it in October. Many states refused to go along with the October date as they believed November 11th to be a more appropriate and traditional day of observance.

In 1975, President Gerald Ford signed legislation that combined Veteran's Day with the traditional Armistice Day and set the day of observance as November 11th. The legislation also recognized all veterans from all the nation's wars.

In Christ,
Dustin Keith

And also another reply to Michael.......from Jay........

Hello Rig, (Jay is an old friend who calls me Rig for Bill Rigney FMR Twins Mgr,)

..Dewey,
..here's a little rant of my own.

..When did we collectively in the U.S. stop calling November 11 "Armistice Day" and start calling it "Veterans' Day"?

From Wikipedia

U.S. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed an Armistice Day for November 11, 1919. The United States Congress passed a concurrent resolution seven years later on June 4, 1926, requesting the President issue another proclamation to observe November 11 with appropriate ceremonies. An Act (52 Stat. 351; 5 U.S. Code, Sec. 87a) approved May 13, 1938, made the 11th of November in each year a legal holiday; "a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated and known as 'Armistice Day'."

In 1953, an Emporia, Kansas shoe store owner named Al King had the idea to expand Armistice Day to celebrate all veterans, not just those who served in World War I. King had been actively involved with the American War Dads during World War II. He began a campaign to turn Armistice Day into "All" Veterans Day. The Emporia Chamber of Commerce took up the cause after determining that 90% of Emporia merchants as well as the Board of Education supported closing their doors on November 11, 1953, to honor veterans. With the help of then-U.S. Rep. Ed Rees, also from Emporia, a bill for the holiday was pushed through Congress. President Dwight Eisenhower signed it into law on May 26, 1954.[3]

Congress amended this act on November 8, 1954, replacing "Armistice" with Veterans, and it has been known as Veterans Day since.[4][5]

--Jay

More in the mailbag...............

Dewey, Welcome back! Powerful cup! May I share inspiration from God as I read...

"Most of my life is given toward preparation. It seems I am always preparing for something."

Amen! God is always moving us forward and upward!!! I 3rd that!!! Morning time is vital to preparing to live a good life and serve...to hear the voice of God direct our path and keep us straight and to well balance our day...spiritually, physically, emotionally...to be strong in faith...to be built up in our most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit!

Recently, I was encouraged by Charles Stanley ...not to let criticism bring me down...I was prepared for man's criticism...HOWEVER, to my surprise...my own worst critic was in me WHEN I was NOT built up STRONG in MY MOST HOLY FAITH!
Satan sneaks in and can lead us to submit to our own criticism...or Satan's criticism that we can believe to be ours??? Lies!

BUT...God leads us...
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding:
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Also, my mom's favorite Bible verse and since she has shared that with me, it has become new to me!!! And real and alive to me!

I can stand against any criticism when I am strong in Faith to KNOW that I have pleased God...but when a doubt comes in my own self and I allow critics to sit in me...??? It was Satan! Go figure! ???
But ...Greater is God in me!!!

"Build yourself up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit." and Stand FIRM in faith...a strong faith!

One more power point from your cup today...PEACE...I love the thought of world peace...

Study notes in the Bible describes peace:
"Peace - The profound well-being of soul that flows from the experience of God's grace."

Peace needs to be sought in our life and prayer life... Peace seems to be forgotten, even at Christmas...
I forgot to take down a "peace and good will toward men" banner last year...Every day I would see it @ night when I would sit...too tired to take it down; only to forget it again, UNTIL, I saw meaning in the words...ended up leaving this banner up on purpose for almost a year as a reminder about peace. I received new meaning to peace in my life by looking @ the word for God's meaning in it...

We are... called,... loved by God... and kept by Jesus
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

All quotes from Jude 1 and 2 & 20
Jude 3
"I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints."

Jude 20..."Build yourself up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit."

There's more...let us seek HIM...I encourage meditation on Jude 20...to hear God speak...it has been powerful and enlightening in my life! God Bless...

Love in Christ,
Karen

I have to share this with you folks.......I am so blessed to know Karen....what an inspiration she is!!! She is on fire for the Lord! Thanks for stepping out for HIM, Karen!

Frank loves the stuff we have been sharing from Ronnie Floyd.........

Thanks Dewey, have you ever heard Ronnie Floyd's testimony?? You'd love it. Get him on your show sometime. He's preached in my church.. I really like him.

Frank

Let us pray.................

Lord, Thank you for giving us the freedom to make ourselves vulnerable to You and Your people.......as we want others to learn from our mistakes and grow closer to You in their walk with You. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!

I am Back CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May God's Peace and Strength be with you and yours!

It is right to give PRAISE and GLORY to GOD!

Let us PRAISE HIM today and everyday!

The only FREEDOM we will ever have is in the LORD!!!

There is FREEDOM in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

It is great to be back home! I missed you guys! I have been so excited to share with you! But first I must report this sad news.......

Yesterday Yvette Greigo sent me a message that her father, Ret. Army Lt. Col. Orlando Greigo passed away at 11:15am Sunday. Yvette wants to thank you for your prayers. By the way Orlando is the Uncle of our Health Coach Cindy Russell. Our prayers are with the whole family.

I called Yvette yesterday afternoon and expressed our sympathy to her and the family. It is never, never easy to lose those that we love. But we have the assurance that we will be together in heaven.

Please pray for Vern. Pray that she receives the strength and wisdom she needs.

One of New Mexico's favorite sons passed away while I was gone.........

Former Governor Bruce King will lie in state at the NM State Capitol on Friday, November 20, 2009 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Moriarty High School Gymnasium at 10:00AM, with Reverend Dr. Russell C. Lee, Lutheran Pastor officiating.

Please pray for the King family.

Had a wonderful time with my Brother Chris Squires and crew at KERI in Bakersfield, California! Made many new friends!

I was able to catch the Presidents speech in California before he left for overseas......He said, This trip is about the American economy..I'm going to China to VISIT IT! LOL! LOL!

By the way one of Chris's favorite scriptures is......

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding:
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

That is Chris's favorite scripture because after his Mom was sent home from the Nursing Home she passed away. Chris thought at first they should have kept her longer..but soon realized that his Mom wanted to come home and pass away in the comforts of her own home.

Let us not LEAN on our own understanding and develop a DEEP personal relationship with the Lord.

Hope you were able to catch the debut of our TV Program this weekend on KAZQ CH 32 at 6pm Saturdays and 7pm Sundays!

Brothers Dewey and Mark:

Wow!!! I was very moved by the dynamics of the program. How God has supernaturally moved and has allowed us to work together.

Praise God for your friendship and love of the Lord.

I Love You.

Blessings. For God's Glory alone.

Jim

Ronnie Floyd says, What we can do is deepen our walk with Jesus Christ. Usually when this occurs, there is something that happens with our influence. God seems to OPEN DOORS in our relationships, opportunities, and ministry. He seems to be able to trust us with more because He knows He is our life, and our walk with Him is superior to all other people, places, or things.

You cannot expect God to do the miraculous if you are not focused on your personal walk with Him. You cannot expect God to do something through you if you are not allowing Him to work in you every day of your life.

Floyd goes onto write..........

You cannot control the world..........READ AGAIN PROVERBS 3:5-6 Chris's favorite........

You cannot control the world.....or even various facets of your world...or days and weeks.......What you can do is focus in one hour a day that will give you the potential to see things the way God does as He empowers you to live and minister supernaturally!

I love writing the CUP to you..having a cup of coffee and praying for all of you and reading the Word and praying! Floyd gets up at 3:30..me around 4:30 to spend my hour or so with God and you!

Floyd says, The power of one hour with God that occurs with focus and discipline consistently will create a ministry world full of adventure and spiritual power. remember, there is nothing like it in the world.

The way you prepare for life will determine the way your life turns out.

Most of my life is given toward preparation. It seems I am always preparing for something.

Remember: "So, couldn't you stay awake with Me one hour? Stay awake and pray, so that you won't enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matt. 26:40-41

There is nothing more important than spending time with God!

Dewey,
Thanks SO much for Tribute to Vets. Message from Chaplain in Iraq humbling. G-d Bless them and keep them: every onel!

Looking forward to Jerry Stewart’s “Salute” tonight. Thanks Standridge Law Firm! Eric served in the Air Force for 24 years.

Love ya,

Eric and Chris

Dewey,
here's a little rant of my own.

When did we collectively in the U.S. stop calling November 11 "Armistice Day" and start calling it "Veterans' Day"?

I am all for supporting our troops, active and retired. But I am even more for supporting "armistice," peace, the END of wars. In Europe, I believe, they still celebrate it as "Armistice."

Do any of your listeners or readers know when and why this change took place?

And what would it mean, if we longed for peace, like on November 11, 1919, at 11 a.m.... instead of lifting up with pride those who still have to fight and risk getting killed, in the absence of peace? What difference might it make to us all and to the world if we expressed out longing for peace, together?

Around these here parts we say, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! AMEN!!!
Got this from our buddy in Socorro, NM Clarence Montoya.........

Twas the month before Christmas*

*When all through our land,*

*Not a Christian was praying*

*Nor taking a stand.*

*See the PC Police had taken away,*

*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*

*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*

*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*

*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*

* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*

*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*

*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*

*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*

*Something was changing, something quite odd! *

*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*

*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*

*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*

* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*

*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*

*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*

*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*

*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*

*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*

*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*

*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*

*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*

* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*

*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*

*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*

*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*

*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,

not Happy Holiday !*

Please, all Christians join together and

wish everyone you meet during the

holidays a

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christ is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!

AMEN! Clarence thanks for sending!

Let us pray................

Lord, Let us not rely on our own understanding.......let us not lean on our understanding.......let us not lean on our will............but lean on Your love, trust and Your will for our lives. In Jesus name, AMEN!

URGENT PRAYER NEEDS

Dear KKIM Family,

I am getting ready to leave for Bakersfield, California to visit the Companies other Christian station.
Please pray.

But I need to call our attention to two prayer needs........

I mentioned in the Cup today that Retired Army Lt. Col. Orlando Griego was doing better...but just got an urgent text from Yvette that her dad is in serious condition. She is asking for prayers. Orlando had been doing better. Yvette said things are serious.

Also just got this prayer need.............

Please pray over the following situation.

Thank you for all your prayers and sending out a requests to pray on my behalf. Everyone's prayers are all certainly helping me to have a peace in my heart about this whole thing. I know that God has orchestrated everything so far from revealing the lump to me to helping me to find a really good doctor. I know he has a plan for all of this I can truly sense his presence with me.

Please pray for Danielle my 21 yo. daughter who is taking this all very hard. You may not recall I lost my sister 8 years ago to breast cancer she battled it for 2 years, she was 37 when she past and Danielle was very close to her and her husband Dave. But just 5 mo. before that, my sisters husband died of Lung cancer at 36 (probably due to pesticides he worked with at his job) Danielle didn't see everything that went on with them as they lived in Montana, but I went up quite a bit...when I could. I pray for Danielle and her husband Jonathan to give their lives to the Lord and for my two grandaughters Anjelica and Angelina (ages 5 and 2 respectively) They are all so precious to me.

Pray that my husband Martin continues to be strong though all of this and that he would find support through his fellowships with other christian believers, and that our marriage would just be strengthened in this time.

We haven't specifically told the boys yet...which has been difficult as I keep having appointments and they are getting quite suspicious and asking questions...but we are going to be sitting down with them this afternoon and giving them the news. I wanted to wait until we knew more and til Jonah's 9th birthday had passed which was on Monday. I had told very few people who I trusted would pray. When we went to the Evan Wickham concert at our church dedication and it was announced...I was truly blessed by all the people gathering around Martin and I to pray. But unfortunately someone’s child told Jacob (10yo) that his mom has cancer. So they do know...but we haven't had time to really sit down and discuss with them what it going on at a level that they can understand as I have had appointment after appointment 1, 2 and sometimes 3 a day since this past Thursday when we found out. So if you could ask everyone you can to pray today for my two boys hearts that they would take the news with hope in their little hearts that mommy is going to get better...but if the Lords will is different, that they would not get angry with God but live their lives for Him.

My greatest fear is for my children to watch their mother suffer through treatments or even lose their mother to cancer. I lost my mother when I was 14 and then 4 years later I lost my dad to cancer too. That kind of loss changes who you are forever and I know the pain I still have in my heart with my loss and I don't want that for any of my children.

Please feel free to copy this prayer request and pass it along to whom you think would storm the heavens on our behalf.
Love a Sister in Christ, Elizabeth Molina

My Dear Friends, People are looking to us for prayers.let us pray our hearts out to our Almighty Lord.

Sharon and I ask for your prayers for the closing of our house in Los Alamos, the refinancing of our Albuquerque home and the shortage of money in the closing to pay off our loan. Your prayers are so much appreciated.

Also special thanks today to Retired State Educator Ralph Montes of Los Lunas for his encouragement today in my possible run for Gov. of New Mexico. I appreciate the confidence, but I feel that the Lord has me where He wants me right now. Many have asked me to run for office, in specifically for Gov, but once again we must seek the Lord's will in all things and counsel from our Christian Brothers and Sisters.

My life verse is........

Acts 20:24 My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24 For God's Glory Alone!

As Charles Stanley said this morning........

We should passionately pursue God's purposes with the Holy Spirit's guidance.

"Behold, I send My messenger before Your face.

Who will prepare Your way before You."

Mark 1:2

Thanks to Anita Price of Sidney, Montana for her letter of honey! We love you Anita and Craig!

"Don't be afraid...those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 2 Kings 6:16

Love isn't letting people do whatever they want. That's often cowardice or apathy. Love cares enough to tell the truth. Rick Warren

Talking with Pastor Leonard the other day... we were talking about the POWER of GOD......ya know the sun doesn't need batteries, the moon doesn't need batteries, the stars doesn't need batteries.......Why do we think at times that God won't take care of us?

Last night on NM News and Views we talked with Susana Martinez GOP Candidate for Gov. We were very impressed. She is the District Attorney for Dona Ana County. Very articulate and analytical. She can really pick things apart and put them together in a good problem solving way. The Republican Party is blessed, with probably it's best candidates ever for Gov. of this State. Now if the Republicans can stop their infighting and get their act together they could drive thru the open door of the Gov's office with all the corruption/deficit in the Richardson and Denish Administration. We need more people like Susana Martinez in our Government.

I love people..that is what drives me......I got to talk to Sonny last night, the Husband of State Rep.Nora Espinoza. What a Man of God, he is so genuine in his love for the Lord and His people. Sonny was sharing with me the love of God and family. It was so refreshing to see a husband and wife together in our Lord. I pray to see more of that..husband and wives together...families together........Nora and Sonny are so strong in our Lord. They prayed for my trip to Bakersfield Calf, I am going there to visit the other Christian Station in our ownership group. By me getting to know Nora and Sonny I understand more about the passion that drives Nora to serve the people of New Mexico. I would love to know our Gov. more but I cannot even get a returned call. I would love to understand him more. I pray for him everyday that he will walk with the Lord. There are no walls built around Nora and Sonny, they are just here to serve. My prayer is more Public Servants will tear down the walls and OPEN THE DOORS to the people and be sincere in their service to the Lord's people.

We must pray for more leaders in our Country like Nora and Sonny.they are the All-American Couple we read about as kid's.....It can still happen!

The Lord has me as a registered Independent....I am for the Lord.....Our Almighty Father..the Truth and the Way......No Political party will get us there.......it is up to us as individuals.

Today we remember those who have given their lives for our Country and those that have served and are serving.

My Dad, Wally Moede served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Marines during WWII. Dad had 6 brothers do the same! My Uncle Burton served in Korea, why that was called the Korean Conflict and not War is beyond me! My Uncle Bob Caraway served in a sub for 2 years in WWII......he had no contact with family for 2 yrs! My best friend Roger Carey of Windom, Minn. was killed in Vietnam after just bring there 6 months. 2 of my Dad's brothers were never the same after WWII,they just remember crawling over dead bodies and all the blood.

Then this month....a number of our Soldiers are executed at Ft. Hood.........

Let us be in prayer today.........

You don't hear the TRUTH much anymore from our leaders on WAR.......WAR is hell on earth........and sometimes WAR is necessary. In fact, when is the last time you heard a Politician use the word WAR? Are they afraid to use that term? They may be afraid, but our young men and women fight the WAR!

Frank Haley sent this in..........

Must have been an awe inspiring moment. Hope all of us would have done the same!
THE MUSIC STOPPED

For those who are unaware: At all military base theaters, the National
Anthem is played before the movie begins.

This is written by a Military Chaplain in Iraq :

I recently attended a showing of 'Superman 3' here at LSA Anaconda. We
have a large auditorium we use for movies, as well as memorial services
and other large gatherings. As is the custom at all military bases, we
stood to attention when the National Anthem began before the main
feature. All was going well until three-quarters of the way through The
National Anthem, the music stopped.

Now, what would happen if this occurred with 1,000 18-22 year-olds back
in the States? I imagine there would be hoots, catcalls, laughter, a few
rude comments, and everyone would sit down and yell for the movie to
begin. Of course, that is, if they had stood for the National Anthem in
the first place.

Here in Iraq , 1,000 Soldiers continued to stand at attention, eyes
fixed forward. The music started again and the Soldiers continued to
quietly stand at attention. But again, at the same point, the music
stopped. What would you expect 1,000 Soldiers standing at attention to
do?? Frankly, I expected some laughter, and everyone would eventually
sit down and wait for the movie to start.

But No!!... You could have heard a pin drop, while every Soldier
continued to stand at attention. Suddenly, there was a lone voice from
the front of the auditorium, then a dozen voices, and soon the room was
filled with the voices of a thousand soldiers, finishing where the
recording left off: "And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in
air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say
does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave, o'er the land of the free, and
the home of the brave."

It was the most inspiring moment I have had in Iraq and I wanted you to
know what kind of Soldiers are serving you. Remember them as they fight
for us!

Pass this along as a reminder to others to be ever in prayer for all our
soldiers serving us here at home and abroad. Many have already paid the
ultimate price.

To lighten your load today a Funny Bone from Lew...........

A man in Topeka , Kansas decided to write a book about churches around the
country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working East from there.

Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes.
He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with
a sign, which read "Calls: $10,000 a minute.."

Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor
answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and
if he pays the price he can talk directly to God.

The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to
visit churches in Seattle, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Milwaukee, and
many cities and towns all around the United States, he found more phones,
with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in New Mexico. Upon entering a church in Las Cruces,
behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But, THIS time, the sign read
"Calls: 35 cents"

Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in cities
all across the country and in each church I have found this golden telephone.
I have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and that I could talk to God,
but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute.
Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why?"

The pastor, smiling broadly, replied, "Son, you're in New Mexico now ...
You're in God's Country. It's a local call."

American by Birth - New Mexican the Grace of God.

Thanks Lew..........

Let us pray.............

Lord, We are so thankful for our United States of America....We are so thankful for our Military and those that serve us. Thank you Lord for raising up people that do not think twice about defending our Country. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Sharon and I thank you for your prayers.........please keep praying for us!

Pray for Our Hero KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Keep your eye on the ball.......Keep your eye's on Jesus....Don't let the start of another week or Criticism stop you! Don't be discouraged!

This Wed. is Veteran's Day and one of our Hero's is fighting for his life right now.
Yvette Griego of Albuquerque was called at 4am this morning to rush down to El Paso, Tx as her Father, Army Lt. Col. Orlando Griego had stopped breathing. He is on a respirator. The Lt. Col. has had lung problems from his days of serving our Country in Vietnam. Many vet's of Vietnam suffer from the same. Let us never forget them.

Yvette text me from El Paso, she is an avid supporter of KKIM, she is asking for your prayers for her Dad and Hero of this Country! Lt. Col. Orlando Griego.

Please keep him in your prayers and also Yvette and family.

Philippians/James CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM family,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us join the Lord in HIS work and make an impact for Christ in this world! Charles Stanley heard weekdays at 8:05am on KKIM.

Let me share this with you.............
I am so thankful for the wonderful Ministry programs we have on KKIM, both Local and National...solid Biblical messages. We all need to be thankful for what the Lord has built at KKIM, it is HIS Ministry!

I was doing my devotions today and praying...........

Family Life Today was on at 7am with Bob Lepine and Dennis Rainey.....

They were broadcasting some parts of the Bible Bee last week in Washington DC.......

One of the messages was............

This is so key to a life in Jesus Christ........

Biblical knowledge is useless if it is not accompanied by a believing heart of faith in Jesus Christ.

Yesterday on NM News and Views we were talking about the pressures of today...so many good men and women falling......

We talked about Ken Zangara a Christian man in Alby and former car dealer who tried to save his dealership by going to Vegas and throwing away 250,000.........

We talked about Car dealer Randy Eastberg a Christian man of Alby, like many car dealers across the country getting into trouble with money because of all the pressures.........

Yesterday I met with many that are having financial pressures and are so worried...........I am one of them! Sharon and I have huge financial pressures.

I go back to what I heard this morning.............

Biblical knowledge is useless if it is not accompanied by a believing heart of faith in Jesus Christ.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-----meditate on these things.
The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the GOD OF PEACE WILL BE WITH YOU.

Now I have a Praise note for you...........

Starting this Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 7pm on KAZQ Ch 32 in Albuquerque Dewey and Friends and The Los Lunas Church of God present, "OPEN DOORS"
Yes, the Lord has brought us to this point to expand our Ministry for HIM.

Myself and Pastor Jim Montoya each week will try and fulfill the Great Commission. Our guest this week is Pastor Mark Tross as we talk about the Great Commission. Please join us and PRAISE GOD!!!

Here is another PRAISE NOTE:
I pray that this link opens up for you..........This is from State Rep Nora Espinoza.......

Tonight on NM news and Views Lord Willing, we will have Republican Gov. Candidate Susana Martinez with us at 4:30

Let us today pray over James 4: 13-14

Oh Lord we read Your Word today........We pray that we apply to our lives here on earth.....Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"
whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen

May the Lord keep you and bless you..........In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

Sun Am CUP KKIM/DDC News and Prayer

Dear KKIM family,

Before you read a note on the passage of the Health Care Bill..........

Your calling from God is the only thing that will keep you in your Ministry.
From time to time, revisit your calling.
Revisit it from the day you were first called by God, then revisit the time when God called you to where your are presently serving. The Minister (or in my mind anyone of us involved in Ministry work) who forgets his or her calling will become ensnared in the trap of performance.
God has bestowed upon you spiritual gifts. Ensure those gifts are being exercised where you are serving. If not, the trap will bite you.
You will begin to identify your worth with your performance or on what you do, forgetting who you are in Jesus Christ and what He has gifted you to do.
Carnal Chaos does not have to take place. When it does, it creates a ministry world that is not reflective of God's Word and does not bring glory to Jesus Christ. Know biblically, functionally, and personally who you are. Ministers (All of us) have to learn
and be reminded daily:

Who you are is more important than what you do.

When you live this principle, there is NOTHING like it in the world.

Remember: "For in Him the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority" Col. 2:9-10

Taken from: 10 Things Every Minister Needs To Know by Ronnie Floyd

ps......From the same book........

Just 17.7% of US Population attends Church on any given weekend.

What does that say about the Church? What does that say about the United States?

We have plenty of work to do....For God's Glory Alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Last year 176,000 Christian were murdered for their faith.

And we can't even get 20% of America to go to Church!

Here is a run down on the passing of the Health Care Bill in the House..........

Senate to take up health care reform after landmark legislation passes House in close vote
ERICA WERNER, Associated Press

WASHINGTON - The Democratic-controlled House has narrowly passed landmark health care reform legislation, handing President Barack Obama a hard won victory on his signature domestic priority.

Republicans were nearly unanimous in opposing the plan that would expand coverage to tens of millions of Americans who lack it and place tough new restrictions on the insurance industry.

The 220-215 vote late Saturday cleared the way for the Senate to begin a long-delayed debate on the issue that has come to overshadow all others in Congress.

A triumphant Speaker Nancy Pelosi compared the legislation to the passage of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare 30 years later.

Obama, who went to Capitol Hill earlier on Saturday to lobby wavering Democrats, said in a statement after the vote, "I look forward to signing it into law by the end of the year."

"It provides coverage for 96 percent of Americans. It offers everyone, regardless of health or income, the peace of mind that comes from knowing they will have access to affordable health care when they need it," said Rep. John Dingell, the 83-year-old Michigan lawmaker who has introduced national health insurance in every Congress since succeeding his father in 1955.

But minority Republicans cataloged their objections across hours of debate on the 1,990-page, $1.2 trillion legislation.

"We are going to have a complete government takeover of our health care system faster than you can say, `this is making me sick,'" said Rep. Candice Miller, R-Mich.

In the run-up to a final vote, conservatives from the two political parties joined forces to impose tough new restrictions on abortion coverage in insurance policies to be sold to many individuals and small groups.

The legislation would require most Americans to carry insurance and provide federal subsidies to those who otherwise could not afford it. Large companies would have to offer coverage to their employees. Both consumers and companies would be slapped with penalties if they defied the government's mandates.

Insurance industry practices such as denying coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions would be banned, and insurers would no longer be able to charge higher premiums on the basis of gender or medical history. The industry would also lose its exemption from federal antitrust restrictions on price fixing and market allocation.

At its core, the measure would create a federally regulated marketplace where consumers could shop for coverage. In the bill's most controversial provision, the government would sell insurance, although the Congressional Budget Office forecasts that premiums for it would be more expensive than for policies sold by private companies.

The bill drew the votes of 219 Democrats and Rep. Joseph Cao, a first-term Republican who holds an overwhelmingly Democratic seat in New Orleans. Opposed were 176 Republicans and 39 Democrats.

From the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada issued a statement saying, "We realize the strong will for reform that exists, and we are energized that we stand closer than ever to reforming our broken health insurance system."

To pay for the expansion of coverage, the bill cuts Medicare's projected spending by more than $400 billion over a decade. It also imposes a tax surcharge of 5.4 percent on income over $500,000 in the case of individuals and $1 million for families.

Let us pray.........

Lord, we pray for Your people all over the world........we pray that we in America will have the boldness that so many worldwide put forth for Your Kingdom. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

ps... Uncle Joe is feeling better, thanks for your prayers.

KKIM NEWS ALERT HEALTH CARE

Speaker Pelosi’s Health Care Bill By the Numbers

November 2, 2009—UPDATED

The Republican Conference has compiled a list of important numbers relevant to Speaker Pelosi’s 1,990-page health care bill:

5.5 million—Number of jobs that could be lost as a result of taxes on businesses that cannot afford to provide health insurance coverage, according to a model developed by Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer

$729.5 billion—Total new taxes on small businesses, individuals who cannot afford health coverage, and employers who cannot afford to provide coverage that meet federal bureaucrats’ standards

$1.055 trillion—New federal spending on expanded health insurance coverage over the next ten years, according to a Congressional Budget Office preliminary score of the bill

.7%—Percentage of all that new spending occurring in the bill’s first three years—representing a debt and tax “time bomb” in the program’s later years set to explode on future generations

$88,200—Definition of “low-income” family of four for purposes of health insurance subsidies

114 million—Number of individuals who could lose their current coverage under the bill’s government-run health plan, according to non-partisan actuaries at the Lewin Group

43—Entitlement programs the bill creates, expands, or extends—an increase from H.R. 3200

111—Additional offices, bureaus, commissions, programs, and bureaucracies the bill creates over and above the entitlement expansions—more than double the number in H.R. 3200

3,425—Uses of the word “shall,” representing new duties for bureaucrats and mandates on individuals, businesses, and States—also more than double the number in H.R. 3200

$10 billion—Minimum loss sustained by taxpayers every year due to Medicare fraud; the government-run health plan does not reform the ineffective anti-fraud statutes and procedures that have kept Medicare on the Government Accountability Office’s list of high-risk programs for two decades

Zero—Prohibitions on government programs like Medicare and Medicaid from using cost-effectiveness research to impose delays to or denials for access to life-saving treatments

$634 Billion—Amount that could be saved by denying individuals access to treatments that are not “cost-effective,” according to a report by the liberal Commonwealth Fund; Section 1160 of the bill gives bureaucrats in the Obama Administration virtual free rein to develop a new “high-value” reimbursement system for Medicare by May 2012

2017—Year Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund will be exhausted—an entitlement crisis exacerbated by the bill, which according to the Congressional Budget Office will increase the federal budgetary commitment to health care by $598 billion in its first ten years alone

$2,500—Promised savings for each American family from health reform, according to then-Senator Obama’s campaign pledge—savings which the Administration’s own actuaries have confirmed will not materialize, as the Pelosi health care bill would increase the growth of health care costs

THIS CUP COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Sharon and I are so thankful for our friends in Christ, like Pastor Don and Dorothy Kimbro supplying us with love and encouragement.

Don and Dorothy like many, are guiding me along in my walk as a Pastor.

10 Things Every Minister Needs To Know by Ronnie Floyd should not only be read by Pastors, but by EVERYONE!

Earlier this week I shared with you a quote from the book........

"Your walk with Jesus Christ determines everything about your life"

There it is in a nutshell! WOW! How AWESOME!

Bad things happen when we go off the path of Jesus!

What do you think about that? Let me know!

How is your walk with Jesus going?

Now read this..........This will impact you!!!

Floyd writes...........

ps Get your Bibles out.........

I believe every Minister and Church needs to go deep into the first Chapter of the Book of Ephesians. We need to learn for the first time, or refresh our memories on what God says about each one of us.
I discovered this again and taught this to our people recently for 5 weeks under the theme: "Who Am I?"
People were freed.
The personal heritage, personal insecurities, and the abusive ways, words, and expectations of others place most Christians in the prison cells of bondage.
NOTE: AMEN! AMEN! are you starting to feel free in Christ?
Therefore people begin to "gain their identity" more from "what they do," than from "who they are." This is not God's will.
Go into the Bible text found in Ephesians 1:3-14, take it apart (Sam) maintain balance, and learn who you are in Christ!
It will change everything about you.
NOTE: I read the scripture over and over and prayed and prayed and cried tears of joy!
On the last day of the series, I gave out a printed statement the size of a postcard for people to remember what I had taught them for those 5 weeks.
The statement reads............

WHO AM I?

In Jesus Christ,

I am chosen miraculously, accepted completely,

forgiven freely, planned providentially,

and rich spiritually.

Floyd continues to write.....I read that statement almost daily. I keep it in my prayer journal to remind me of who I am in Jesus Christ.

WOW! I am blown away! What an impactive message!

Praise God for men like Ronnie Floyd, Don and Dorothy Kimbro carrying out the Great Commission........Spreading the good news!!!

PS.By the way my middle name is Floyd, after Grandpa Floyd Caraway!!!

I leave you with this from max Lucado..........

Christ hasn't budged from his throne,& Romans 8:28 hasn't evaporated from the Bible.

Please keep my hero Uncle Joe in your prayers.he has the flu and some other problems. As many of you know he is 93 and is like a Dad to me. He was going to the Doctor today with the help of his daughters, Mary Ann and Marla.

Thank you all for your prayers for Sharon and I. Thank you for you asking about the kids.

I feel so blessed to be able to write these words to you all...........I would love to hear from you..your words of encouragement and prayers keep us going.
I have been asked to start a Church here in Albuquerque, but I have a Church here at KKIM and the Cup and being Associate Pastor under Pastor Jim Montoya at the Church of God ........I have learned that we need to pray everyday for the Lord's will to be done, not ours. This is all about Jesus.

Love this scripture..........

My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24

Let us all remember...God used Moses and Paul to remind us He transforms "the least of us" to be light in darkness" AMEN! Read that again....WOW.we are dealing with Dynamite Today!!! The POWER OF GOD!!!!

and may favorite song...........

For such a time as this I was placed upon this earth.........

Join us in prayer...........

Lord, we come to you today and thank you for the opportunity to share Your Word with all. I pray Lord that today lives will be changed from reading this Cup and the words of wisdom from Your servant Ronnie Floyd. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Let us mourn Cup KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Next week is Veterans Day.......A Day to remember those who have fought and are fighting for our freedom. Yesterday 13 of our soldiers died by being shot by one of their own...........

The Mpls Star Tribune reported this........

Soldiers who witnessed the shooting rampage at Fort Hood that left 13 people dead reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" -- Arabic for "God is great!" -- before the attack Thursday, which left 30 people wounded, including the gunman

Let us be in prayer constantly about this situation..........

Today I pray will be a day of mourning for our Country......sometimes it seems we rush from one tragedy to another......things are moving so fast..sometimes I think the Lord has sped up time.......We must pray for those families that are affected by this horrible tragedy at Ft. Hood. There is more evil in this world than ever before. I have had for months on my heart the Great Commission and the Armor of God......we must do both, tell the world and put on our armor of God to do so. In my mind not there is not much more important than that. This world needs Jesus.

Are we so numb in this country we do not mourn much anymore?

What has happened to us?

Today. My dear friends..... I call on us all to stop and mourn and pray........are we so in a hurry to our own funeral that we have lost touch with Godly matters?

I picture in my mind flaming missiles that are hurled around by Satan himself.

We as God's people need to get out in front of those Satan hurled missiles, preaching the Great Commission with the armor of God.

We have to have our own fire.......fire from God!

We must lead others to Christ....We must help others in their walk with Jesus Christ.

Yesterday we told you that our man in Washington DC Lew, said the Supreme Court ruled against Nativity Scenes in DC this year because they could not find three wisemen!!! LOL! LOL!

Well, we now have word that we have our own Matthew Evans from Albuquerque is in DC..Here is a report from his Mother Helen.........Matthew has plenty of Godly wisdom!!! He is competing in the Bible Bee......

Hi everyone,

It has been a long day here in D.C. The opening ceremony began bright and early this morning at 7:45 am and we just got back to our room around 11:00 pm this evening. Matthew competed in an oral round this morning (4 Bible memory verses and 4 Bible knowledge questions) and then took the written test right after lunch. After a short break, he competed in another oral round this afternoon. Both oral rounds went well with Matthew able to say all the verses and he also thought he did fairly well on the written test. We found out late this evening, though, that his score wasn't high enough to place him in the top 20 and eligible to compete in the semifinals tomorrow morning. While all of us would have loved to see him advance to the next level, we're so grateful for all he's learned in this competition and know that God's Word will continue to work in his life. Thank you all so much for praying for Matthew as he competed. Our whole family really appreciates your prayers and support.

Blessings,

The Evans Family

Please keep Matthew in your prayers.

Tonight at 7pm One Nation Under God prayer meeting at Heights Christian Church!

Today we share with you two AWESOME devotional writings...............

Read Your Life Backward
by Max Lucado

God is working in you to help you want to do and be able to do what pleases him.
Philippians 2:13 NCV

What God said about Jeremiah, he said about you: “Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I chose you. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work” (Jer. 1:5 NCV).

Set apart for a special work.

God shaped you according to yours. How else can you explain yourself? Your ability to diagnose an engine problem by the noise it makes, to bake a cake without a recipe. You knew the Civil War better than your American history teacher. You know the name of every child in the orphanage. How do you explain such quirks of skill?

God. He knew young Israel would need a code, so he gave Moses a love for the law. He knew the doctrine of grace would need a fiery advocate, so he set Paul ablaze. And in your case, he knew what your generation would need and gave it. He designed you. And his design defines your destiny. Remember Peter’s admonition? “If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies” (1 Pet. 4:11).

I encountered walking proof of this truth on a trip to Central America. Dave, a fellow American, was celebrating his sixty-first birthday with friends at the language school where my daughter was studying Spanish. My question—“What brings you here?”—opened a biographical floodgate. Drugs, sex, divorce, jail—Dave’s first four decades read like a gangster’s diary. But then God called him. Just as God called Moses, Paul, and millions, God called Dave.

His explanation went something like this. “I’ve always been able to fix things. All my life when stuff broke, people called me. A friend told me about poor children in Central America, so I came up with an idea. I find homes with no fathers and no plumbing. I install sinks and toilets and love kids. That’s what I do. That’s what I was made to do.”

Sounds like Dave has found the cure for the common life. He’s living in his sweet spot. What about you? What have you always done well? And what have you always loved to do?

That last question trips up a lot of well-meaning folks. God wouldn’t let me do what I like to do—would he? According to Paul, he would. “God is working in you to help you want to do and be able to do what pleases him” (Phil. 2:13 NCV). Your Designer couples the “want to” with the “be able to.” Desire shares the driver’s seat with ability. “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Ps. 37:4 NIV). Your Father is too gracious to assign you to a life of misery. As Thomas Aquinas wrote, “Human life would seem to consist in that in which each man most delights, that for which he especially strives, and that which he particularly wishes to share with his friends.”

So go ahead; reflect on your life. What have you always done well and loved to do?

Some find such a question too simple. Don’t we need to measure something? Aptitude or temperament? We consult teachers and tea leaves, read manuals and horoscopes. We inventory spiritual gifts and ancestors. While some of these strategies might aid us, a simpler answer lies before us. Or, better stated, lies within us.

The oak indwells the acorn. Read your life backward and check your supplies. Rerelish your moments of success and satisfaction. For in the merger of the two, you find your uniqueness.

God Is Stronger Than We Think
by Jon Walker
"I can do everything through him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13 NIV).

This guest devotional is by Jon Walker, author of 'Growing with Purpose.'

We're not as strong as we think we are, but God is stronger than we think.

You become strong through God's strength. His strength enters your life, delivered by the Holy Spirit--Jesus within--and the more dependent you are on God, the stronger in him you become. In our weakness, he is strong (2 Corinthians 12:10).

"I can do everything . . . " doesn't mean, 'Now that I'm a believer, I'm strong enough to do everything and anything for God.' Your own testimony can attest to the fears and failures related to such thinking.

The strength of "I can do everything . . . " comes through God, who gives you the strength you need for each day. Your ability to "do everything" is wholly dependent upon him because your strength is dependent upon him. It's not a strength you work up to by pumping iron with emotional or mental barbells.

Strength comes from submission. The thing you do that may require the greatest strength is to submit yourself completely to God! But God is "working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him" (Philippians 2:13 NLT).

Strength is linked to faith. You believe in faith that God is giving you his strength; and so, in faith you can act in confidence, knowing the strength is there: "But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength" (2 Timothy 4:17 NIV).

I would like to share something with you today from a book that Pastor Don Kimbro and his lovely wife Dorothy gave me......

It is 10 Things Every Minister Needs To Know by Ronnie Floyd.

It is AWESOME!

Floyd writes.......I also have added in my 2 cents now and then.........LOL!

Reality television is huge in media markets today.
It just cuts through stuff and gives you the actual reality that is happening.
People are sick and tired of plastic ministries building plastic churches. This is why authenticity is now the buzz. Get real with me.

Your walk with Jesus Christ determines everything about your life........read that again........Our walk with Jesus determines everything...everything about our lives!

We need to picture ourselves walking right next to Jesus!

This does not mean that life will not have moments of suffering or challenges!!!!

Suffering will always be part of life! Look what they did to Jesus!

Are you being stoned yet?

What it does mean is that the degree to which you walk with God will determine the degree of everything else you experience in life.

Read that again..........pray over it.........

Through our walk with Jesus, you will keep perspective.

Through your walk, you will eventually know where the Lord is leading you.

Through your walk, you will have the power to endure the challenges of church life today.....of everyday life.

Through your walk, you will gain insight and wisdom for decision-making. WOW! That is so trure.more clear than ever.......That is why we have so much poor decision making going on in our Country many leaders are not walking with the Lord.

Through your walk, you can live above the temptations and ethical challenges of our culture.

That is another reason we need to care so much for our Children...to help them in their walk and have them put on the armor of God each day.

Through your walk. I love this one.it is so descriptive.........

Through your walk........you will be able to win over the FLAMING MISSILES that are hurled toward you by Satan himself.

Satan is out to destroy us!

It is our walk with Jesus Christ that can be the artillery to win over his demonic forces.

As our walk with Jesus goes, so goes the rest of our lives!

What a POWERFUL message today! AMEN!

I would pray over these words........If you have any questions let me know........email me.

Please pray for Denver Moore. Pastor Leonard Navarre called and said that Denver was rushed to a hospital last night with a blood clot. Denver co-authored with Ron Hall the book, "Same Kind of Different as me" Denver and Ron have released another book. We had Ron on talking about the first one, which I have read it is AWESOME! KKIM NEWS ALERT LT GOV DENISH

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- New Mexico Watchdog - http://newmexico.watchdog.org -
Denish Used Federal Funds for Personal Driver, Polling and Christmas Cards
Posted By Jim Scarantino On November 4, 2009 @ 12:21 pm In Featured | 1 Comment
Lt. Governor Diane Denish [1] used $225,000 in federal funds to pay for a driver to shuttle her to meetings and press events, a contractor to take Christmas pictures and write Christmas cards, a lawyer to make hotel reservations, opinion polling and public relations services. The money was given to her for “various projects” by Governor Bill Richardson. The money came from unallocated federal fiscal stimulus funds transferred to the New Mexico treasury under the 2003 Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act.
New Mexico Watchdog took a closer look at how Denish chose to use this money. New Mexico Watchdog requested that the Lt. Governor’s office produce under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act all documents containing information on how this money was spent. The documents were made available for review at the Roundhouse in one of the Governor’s conference rooms. In particular, New Mexico Watchdog reviewed billings and time sheets from independent contractors hired by the Lt. Governor.
New Mexico Watchdog also reviewed records on how larger allocations of these federal funds were spent by the Office of the Natural Resources Trustee and the Economic Development Department. These three uses of money were selected for closer inspection because the Department of Finance and Administration records on these allocations contained only the vaguest descriptions of how the money was to be spent. In the case of the ONRT, the money was allocated simply for “environmental studies.” The Economic Development Department was given about $1.6 million for vague purposes such as “research” and “border projects.” A separate report on these expenditures is available here [2]. All these allocations were made in the discretion of Governor Richardson, outside the normal budgeting process requiring legislative authorization. New Mexico Watchdog examined unconstitutional spending of over $100 million in public funds by the Governor in its report entitled, “Governor Richardson Spends Millions in Violation of State Constitution. [3]“
According to Sam Thompson, Denish’s spokeswoman, in 2003-04 the Lt. Governor did not have a public information officer. Denish’s office began using the federal funds to hire private individuals who were not state employees to draft press releases, write op-eds for to appear under her name, pen responses to newspaper editorials and arrange media interviews and appearances.
Laura Cowdrey and Hazel Mella, both of Albuquerque, and Timothy Blotz of Santa Fe, were hired at rates ranging from $23 to $25 per hour, plus New Mexico Gross Receipts taxes. Mella carried the title of Education Policy Advisor, even though she held no such position within state government. Blotz labeled his invoices as “public information services.”
Time sheets show that Blotz wrote speeches and press releases for Denish. He once billed three hours at $25/hour for a meeting at Barela’s Coffeehouse in Albuquerque. He also wrote responses to editorials and arranged interviews for Denish.
Cowdrey provided various public relations services, including writing op-eds and speeches and attending media events. At $23.50 per hour she also picked up the Lt. Governor at airports and was paid, according to her invoice, to “pick up things at LTG’s house.” Those initials stand for Lt. Governor. In one instance, she billed for 13 hours to drive to Carlsbad and pick up Denish and drive her around on a “Small Business Tour.” Cowdrey charged another 13 hours on another date for the same service in Alamogordo. One billing entry charged 6 hours to drive to Albuquerque from an undisclosed starting point.
Denish’s office approved payment to Cowdrey for 6 hours at $23.50 per hour on November 22, 2004, detailed in her time sheet as “taking Christmas pictures, removing decorations, setting up pre-K interviews, organizing speeches and releases for website.”
On November 24, 2004, Cowdrey billed 8 hours described as “work on Christmas card, work on history book request.”
Mella billed the Lt. Governor’s office for labeling and stuffing envelopes, attending cabinet meetings, typing minutes of meetings and “research.”
Denish also used federal funds to hire an Albuquerque attorney named Renae Richards Charney at the rate of $25 per hour. Charney did not provide legal representation or advice. According to her time sheets, she called hotels and convention centers for prices and booking availability and arranged a meeting for Denish. She also billed for meeting with the Lt. Governor’s staff about the meeting. A December 3, 2004, entry cryptically records her activities as “set up and organized facility, directed secure providers, accessed resources for use of participants, took notes and observations.”
Denish used federal funds to hire a Santa Fe consultant to produce and place radio ads to promote her child education campaign. She also used $20,000 of federal funds to hire New Mexico Research & Polling to conduct a poll called “Children’s Cabinet Public Opinion Study.”
Under the New Mexico State Constitution, the only powers and duties given to the Lt. Governor are to serve as president of the State Senate, cast a vote in cases of a tie and to succeed to the office of Governor in the case of death, incapacity or removal. Unlike other executive officers, the state constitution does not even require the Lt. Governor to keep public records, books, papers or seals of public office.

Allen Weh calls for investigation into Denish expenses
U.S. Attorney General, NM Attorney General and NM State Auditor requested to investigate use of stimulus funds

ALBUQUERQUE – In light of investigative reporter Jim Scarantino’s report that Lt. Gov. Diane Denish spent federal funds to her personal and professional benefit, businessman and gubernatorial candidate Allen Weh is calling for a full investigation to determine misuse of tax dollars.

Weh sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, NM Attorney General Gary King and NM State Auditor Hector Balderas today after becoming aware of unraveling situation. Weh is also calling on Denish to immediately release the documents reviewed by Scarantino to all members of the New Mexico media.

“At the time this money was being spent, Mrs. Denish was gearing up for her re-election campaign of 2006,” Weh said. “On the surface, it looks like tax dollars were spent to help her in her campaigning, and that’s why today’s report is so serious. When I entered this race for Governor, I pledged that the first thing I’d do when elected is root out corruption in Santa Fe, but it looks like I’m going to start early.”

Scarantino reported earlier today that Denish spent $225,000 in federal funds in 2003-04 to pay for several questionable services, including Christmas cards, a personal chauffer, and public relations.

“These are very serious revelations,” Weh said. “It is incredible to me and to most New Mexicans to hear on one day that a tax hike is inevitable because of a budget shortfall and on the next to realize that tax payer dollars were spent for the benefit of Mrs. Denish’s personal and professional livelihood. I believe the allegations raised in today’s investigative report are very serious and should be investigated immediately.”

The Honorable Eric Holder
Attorney General of the United States
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530-0001
RE: State of New Mexico

Dear Attorney General Holder:
I am writing to respectfully ask that your department investigate an unraveling matter that concerns the state of New Mexico. Enclosed is an investigative report for your information.
It has been reported today that Lt Gov Diane Denish spent $225,000 in federal funds to pay for several questionable services, including Christmas cards, a personal chauffer, and public relations.
Since the money came from the 2003 Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act, it is my understanding that the funds were intended to benefit all New Mexicans and not the personal and professional livelihood of a sitting lieutenant governor. In my opinion, I believe this to be misuse of public funds. We are seeking an investigation because of the long history of ethics problems at the state level of government here in New Mexico.
This request for an investigation is intended to provide transparency and full disclosure of all the facts in this matter. Clearly, the state has a problem in investigating itself.
Thank you for your consideration. I and the citizens of New Mexico look forward to your prompt response.

Respectfully,

Allen E. Weh

Abortion still alive in ObamaCare
Urgent: E-mail your representative and two senators today!
November 2, 2009

Dear Dewey,

Despite repeated attempts by pro-life legislators on both sides of the aisle, taxpayer funding for abortion is back with a vengeance in ObamaCare proposals.
Thus far, all 17 proposed amendments that would prohibit taxpayer funding for abortion in ObamaCare have been defeated, and pro-life Congressman Bart Stupak, a Democrat from Michigan, said of the House's 2,000-page bill (H.R. 3962), "Language in the bill still does not do enough to prevent federal funding from going to abortion services.
"I am disappointed the Capps Amendments has remained intact (in the House bill), mandating abortion services for the first time in the nation's history."
To help you understand just how far reaching this bill will be, AFA is hosting a free live webcast on Tuesday, November 3, at 8:30 p.m. EST. We'll also answer your questions by email about health care live on air.
Register now for the free live webcast Tuesday, Nov. 3 @ 8:30 p.m. EST for "Government Takeover of Health Care: Counting the Costs"

In the Senate version, the 10% of doctors who submit the most reimbursements for Medicare patients will have their pay docked by five percent. This inevitably will lead to rationing of care for seniors, and make "death panels" inevitable as doctors strain to stay below the threshold.
Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.) describes the House bill this way: "This 2,000-page bill includes a job-killing employer mandate, an individual mandate that requires Washington bureaucrats to define what kind of coverage is acceptable, burdensome tax increases, Medicare cuts, and a huge expansion of Medicaid that will break already strained state budgets."

E-mail your representative and senators in Washington, D.C., today and urge them to vote "No" on ObamaCare.

It is very important that you forward this alert to your friends and family members.

URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

We all need to remember as we go about our day.....there are those who are suffering, those who have lost loved ones.......those that look out a hospital window wondering if anyone cares.........

Hey Guys,

Can you take a minute out of your day and say a little prayer for one of my students who past away today and his family. I didn't spend a lot of time with him, only 30 minutes a week when his class came for library. However, his was a very kind hearted and good nature kid who made a lasting impression on me. I will miss seeing him in the halls and in my library.

Dan

I play softball with Teacher Dan on the Heights Christian team, He is an AWESOME encourager!

Dan,we are praying for the family and you........Frank Haley had the story this morning. I also read it on NM News and Views last night.......

Eleven-Year-Old Boy Dies After Bout With H1N1

(Albuquerque, NM) -- An eleven-year-old Albuquerque boy has died of complications from the H1N1 virus. Department of Health officials say the boy was hospitalized since October 11th at university of New Mexico Hospital and had a a chronic underlying condition that put him at risk of complications. He is the state's 22nd H1N1 victim.

Let us all remember this little boy and his family.........

The death of a child is especially difficult. Death after such a short life span often produces feelings of guilt, melancholy, and a lot of questions.

Children are especially precious to God. Referring to children, Jesus said, "Of such is the kingdom of heaven" Matthew 19:14.

Let us pray over this very sad news coming out of a small Navajo nation community about 30 miles Northwest of Gallup, NM.......KKIM's Frank Haley has the story.........

-
(Navajo) The slaying of a 64-year-old Catholic nun in her convent over the weekend has stunned and saddened a small Navajo Nation community about 30 miles northwest of Gallup.
The FBI is looking for suspects in the death of Sister Marguerite Bartz, a 10-year resident of the community of Navajo, who was killed on church property at St. Berard Mission Church.
The FBI would not release details about the manner of death or other aspects of the investigation. They confirmed they are looking for a suspect or suspects who may be armed and dangerous, as well as the vehicle Bartz had been driving lately.
Bartz, who had served more than 40 years in the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, a Roman Catholic religious order, shared her residence with one other sister who was out of town at the time of the killing.
Bartz had taught at St. Catherine Indian School in Santa Fe and held posts at St. Joseph Church in Laguna and Guadalupe Indian Mission in Peña Blanca before moving to Navajo in 1999.
Bartz was born in Plymouth, Wis., and entered the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament in 1966 in Beaumont, Texas. She earned a bachelor's degree from Xavier University in New Orleans and a master's degree from Loyola University in New Orleans.

Let us pray for those who committed this awful act.

Today ....maybe we all need to as that old song by Mac Davis says, Stop and Smell the Roses.................

Pastor Jim Montoya sent this in click and enjoy! God's Peace and Strength be with you all! Love Dewey and Sharon.........

WELCOME TO NOV CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

WELCOME to November!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!! WOW! Time is flying by!

May the Peace and Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

Karen Rowe sent this in.......

Jude 20 "build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.

I was just studying Psalm 147:3...& 6
"The LORD sustains the humble"

And 149:4 "For the Lord takes delight in HIS people; He crowns the humble
with Salvation"

study notes.
"Humble...those who acknowledge that they are with out resources"

Psalm 147:7-11
study notes
"The God who governs the rain and thus provides food for the beast and the
birds
is not pleased by man's reliance on his own capabilities on those of the
animals he has domesticated (or the technologies he has developed);

HE is pleased when people serve HIM and trust HIS loving care."

Just to share...I love to write them (scriptures) again and again...it makes
me think and learn how to apply to my life.
May you too be blessed as I share.
Karen

Thank you Karen you are such a blessing. You can hear Karen, "Hope In Today" heard Thursdays at 2:45.

You all are blessings to me and Sharon!

Yesterday at 1:05pm was the debut of a brand new Ministry program on KKIM with Pastor Massimo Lorenzini of First Baptist Church of Espanola. What an AWESOME message Pastor Lorenzini had for us yesterday!

The Espanola Valley is such a growing area for KKIM! PRAISE GOD! For GOD'S GLORY ALONE!!

Democrats can't be to happy today with State Sen. Tim Eichenberg, Dem. of Albuquerque for his statement that Lt. Gov. Diane Denish can't win the Gov's race! Saying the Lt. Gov. is too attached to the financial mess in the Gov's office.

Lt. Col Allen Weh, who is running for Gov., appearing on NM News and Views Friday said that when he is elected Gov. of NM he will speak out on National Defense issues. Weh made that comment at the end of our interview because I asked him for his thoughts on Afghanistan. He said, that President Obama is sending the wrong message to our enemies by dragging his feet on making decisions. As far as the Richardson Administration he said that with his Business and Management experience he will turn the state around from years of mismanagement from Richardson. Weh simply, said you don't spend more than you have.

As far as Afghanistan.you gotta see the new movie that Michael W. Smith produced, "KABUL24" the true story about 8 Christian workers being held hostage by the Taliban. The movie gave me a renewed appreciation for President George Bush and the US Military, These hostages were taken before 9/11. Sharon and I have watched it twice and the first time...the message we received is that it moved us closer to God..and then the second time we also have more appreciation for who President Bush was and also the expertise of our Military. Every American should watch "KABUL24" it is out on DVD this week.we are giving away copies on NM News and Views this week.

The Taliban are wicked.....As President Bush once said, "They want to kill us all!"

One of the hostages said after being rescued........"I didn't know what to do.....I was a mess.......I learned that I should be a simple follower of God and His grace will take me where He wants me to be."

KKIM's Frank Haley has the latest on the State's Budget Crises........

SANTA FE, N.M. -- Come January, members of the Legislature will look back on their October special session as little more than a preview of the difficult spending and tax decisions confronting them in the next budget year.
Lawmakers left the special session without completely erasing a $650 million revenue shortfall in the current budget year. They fell at least $125 million short of that assignment and need to revisit the issue in next year's session.
But there are more problems.
The Legislature and Gov. Bill Richardson have a nearly $380 million revenue hole to fill in the upcoming 2011 fiscal year to maintain a no-growth budget, according to the Legislative Finance Committee.
That's partly because next year's revenues are projected to come in lower than current spending, even after cutbacks approved during the special session. The state also is using federal economic stimulus money to pay for education and health care services.
About $250 million of federal money will dry up next year, which means New Mexico must decide how to replace it or roll back spending.
However, there are financial risks not reflected in the $380 million estimate: Medicaid costs are rising because of increased demand for health care services during the recession. Unless steps are taken to hold down costs, the program could need an extra $200 million or more in the next fiscal year, according to preliminary estimates by the Human Services Department.
And then there's the economy. If it worsens, the state's revenues could deteriorate and widen the budget gap.
When the Legislature adjourned, legislator after legislator - Democrats and Republicans - acknowledged the severity of the budget problems ahead.
When the Legislature convenes Jan. 19, members must decide whether to cut spending, raise taxes or do some combination of those to deal with next year's looming budget problems.
But it won't be easy finding enough votes in the House and Senate to raise taxes and further cut budgets.
Just imagine members of the House as they run for re-election next year on a platform of having made the tough decisions in balancing the budget: Raising taxes, cutting spending on government services and eliminating local capital improvement projects.

Let me share with you the word's of Honey that have been coming our way..........We have received many emails and phone calls..We share this for God's Glory Alone!!!!!
Just a few........

Good morning my brother,

We praise God and rejoice with you and your family in your appointment as Associate Pastor to Los Lunas Church of God. Little do we realize many times what God has in store for us if we would but yield to Him. As you have allowed God to use you for His honor and glory He has enlarged your tent (influence) and we praise God for you and rejoice with you. "Where God guides He provides".

Isa 54:2

"Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep.
Our prayers are that God will continue to richly bless you and your efforts for Him. FOR GOD'S GLORY ALONE!

God bless you,

Leonard

The healthcare debate is even in families..........Manny sent out an email to friends about healthcare and then his son sent one right back to him..........

Dad,

This plan isn't being forced on anyone. All it is and extra government insurance "option" that you can opt in or out of. Nobody is going to force you to change your heathcare plan. The private insurance companies are scared to death about this because they stand to loose billions because they will not be able to compete. They have been spreading a lot of misinformation and outright lies about what this plan actually is. Please do not buy into this!!!

Hey Folks,

You've got to watch this video clip on a debate the members of Congress had recently. (Use the link below to view the clip.)

Also, please call and/or write to your members of Congress and Senators and let them know that you do not want this healthcare plan, which is being forced on the American people. Thank you!

Remember: "Evil prevails when good people stand by and do nothing."

P.S. By the way, they are voting on the healthcare bill this week, so, please contact your representatives ASAP.

Sincerely,

I have to say this is one of the main reasons that I am a registered Independent. I vote for the person not a party.......Shona Neff heard Saturdays at 7:30am sent this in............By the way Shona is such a treasure! I think the following is "more proof in the pudding" that security cannot be found anywhere but in our Lord Jesus Christ.......

To the Congress

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 - you have had 234 years to get it right; it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935 - you have had 74 years to get it right, it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - you have had 71 years to get it right; it is broke.

The "War on Poverty" started in 1964 - you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked and our entire country is broke.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - you've had 44 years to get it right; they are broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - you have had 39 years to get it right; it is broke.

Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the "Stimulus", the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009... none show any signs of working.

And finally, to set a new record:

"Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took good dependable cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country. And the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress' generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments. The car buyers are now finding out that this $4500 will be taxed as REGULAR INCOME... (gee who would have thought that?)

So with a perfect 100% failure! rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system?

20% of our entire economy?

As Charles Barkley says: The poor have been voting for democrats for well over fifty years, and they are still poor!

Let us pray.........

Lord, heal our land of hate. Lord we pray that all will be led to You and Your ways. The only way is Your way. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

URGENT PRAYER NEED

Dewey,

Sorry I have not given you an update sooner; my sister Mary's hip surgery went well - she was released from the hospital yesterday (Friday). This morning she was trying to take a few steps with her walker when she became faint. Her husband, Rob, got her to the bed and her breathing became extremely labored. 911 was called and the Paramedics made the decision to transport her to the Emergency Room - I'm sure the concern is a blood clot, although I don't know if this was stated. Please, please, please have your readers pray for this Spirit filled mother and grandmother. She is so very precious to us - pray for her complete healing and restoration of her health.

In Him,

Taunya T.
We will be praying Taunya!

Here is something I read today that I would like to share........

I walked a mile with Pleasure

She chatted all the way;

But left me none the wiser

For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with Sorrow,

And ne'er a word said she;

But, oh! The things I learned from her,

When Sorrow walked with me.
