WEEKEND CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 AMEN!

"We have shot ourselves in the foot by embracing what sells. I pray we never stop hearing the new, and never forget the old." Ruth King Goddard on the commercialization of worship in some Churches.

That brings us to this quote..........

"The reason Oral Roberts found such a following is because so many mainline denominations closed the door to the power of God." Edward, on the legacy of the Pentecostal televangelist, who died on Dec. 15th

Sharon and I are so thankful for you.our extended family........it is such to have a family here at the CUP to share with! We are here to hold each other up! To support and pray for each other!

As I awoke here at 5:30am........short night..but restful..we have received two prayer needs in that time from a drained Mother.and a tired Grandpa........

Let us pray..........

Brooke(3 yrs old) is still in ICU at UNM Children's Hosp.. Today, Friday 2-5-10 is day 14. No change yesterday from the day before, no better, but no worse. Lung X-ray unchanged, Still on oxygen ventilator, IV's etc, resting well, but slow progress. Drs say this is a slow process. Thanks for your prayers, the stress and strain on Mom and Grand Ma is unbelievable. We continue to trust in the Lord, and believe and know that He is in control. Thanks you Jesus!!!

My life's verse: Isa. 9:6

My "getting through the day" saying:

"When the sunshine of God's love meets the showers of our sorrow, the rainbow of promise appears."

D - Jaden(I think Jaden must be 3 or 4) went 12 hrs w/out vomiting, but then it began again last night. It is tearing me up to see her like this. Once again I humbly ask that her complete healing be part of your daily prayers.

In Him,

~T~

Please keep Brooke and Jaden in your prayers.....

Here is a devotional from Carolyn Arends in Christianity Today Feb issue........

Psalm 37 is all about strength in meekness. It deals with trusting God to be God, and with not trying to do His job. The meek, for example, don't repay evil for evil, they rely on God for justice (v.1-3). Several verses mention that the meek don't fret. And the meek let God provide their hearts desires rather than trying to manipulate people and circumstances to get what they want. (v.4).

Remember Meekness is not weakness it means POWER UNDER CONTROL!

"Suffering points to the sufficiency of God; isn't that what the Cross showed us?" D. Noorman. on Pastor Matt Chandler's cancer diagnosis.

Let us pray............

Lord we pray for healing for Brooke and Jaden and all those who are ill..........We pray for wisdom for the Doctor's and Nurses, oh Lord! We pray that we all grow closer to YOU. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In The Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
