Ephesians 5:3 CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

It is a Blessing to be with you all today!

May the Peace and Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

I want to thank all of the new Ministry Sponsor's who have joined the KKIM Family, What a difference you make!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

For God's Glory Alone!

Our heads may be spinning with all the corruption around is in our State Government and elsewhere, but we must stand strong in the Lord!

Even the Roman Soldiers had spikes underneath their sandals to dig in!

But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Eph 5:3 AMEN! AMEN!

L.M. Clymer was President of Holiday Inn Hotel chain when the board made a decision to invest $25 million in a gambling casino in Atlantic City. As a committed Christian (You see there is difference...Are YOU and I committed?) he protested the move to invest in the casino. He was overruled, and he resigned, unwilling to compromise his moral and spiritual convictions.
Godly men and women cannot be content in the presence of wickedness. Do I need to repeat that?
If I was on the radio now, I would read that twice!
Christians cannot sit on their hands on this!
Some would say to Mr. Clymer, "You can't help what the board decides. Besides, your not gambling; your not doing anything wrong." But the Apostle Paul told the Roman Christians that God's judgement is upon those who not only sin themselves but give approval to others who sin. Romans 1:32
If our failure to speak out against wickedness can in any way be interpreted as approval of the practice, then we are guilty as well.
Look around-----is there sin surrounding you to which you have grown accustomed?
In New Mexico, there is plenty of sin in government that people have grown accustomed to!
Look around......in your life.......What sin, if any have you and I grown accustomed to?
Are you willing to take a stand regardless of the cost?
A voice of dissent unheard speaks as loud as any shout of approval.
I would read that last part again...........

There are two huge events in the Duke City this weekend..........please go to www.mykkim.com and read all about them. People of all faiths are coming together in both these events!

Here is one of my favorite parts!!! The mailbag......Would love to hear from you!

Great Day in the Lord!

Wonderful Posting Mr. Dewey, and State Rep. Janice E Arnold Jones

(Apologies, I thought I sent this out yesterday)

Here's an idea that would help save this state tons of money:

Significantly reduce the number of state and local government employees taking their State and Local GOVERNMENT vehicles home everyday. (you see many of them on the freeways every morning).

And yes, I have heard all the excuses... it is still a perk...

I work in the federal government, and I never had that perk.

I pay for my transportation, every day... out of my paycheck, which is still a lot less then the averaged $80,0000.00 you were talking about for the 500 (or so), Governor's appointed jobs.

Is it me or does that really add up to around 40 million dollars... Anyway, can you say "bye, bye"... Lets lose most of those appointment jobs.

And make a significant dent in the spending by this states governmental agencies for fuel, and miscellaneous damages to Government vehicles, etc... That would be a start and a help.

Joe The American

Dewey,

Here is a note on the status of our dear friend Matthew Evans.........

Hi Dewey,

Just a quick update on the Bible Bee. We just found out that the finals on Friday, November 6, 2009 are going to be broadcast live on the internet. We don't know that Matthew will make it that far, but once we have more details, we'll let you know. : )

Thanks so much,

NEWS MAKERS OF THE DAY:

The USS NEW MEXICO has been christened and is now waterborne. The next construction event will be her commissioning as a United States Navy submarine. It is anticipated that NEW MEXICO commissioning will be held in January 2010 at the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia.

As the host state, New Mexico has many responsibilities in making sure the commissioning is a world-class event. While the Navy supplies the submarine, crew, and pier, the rest is up to the state’s Commissioning Committee. The USS New Mexico Commissioning Committee is part of the Navy League’s New Mexico Council. It is this committee that led the five year statewide grassroots initiative to have the sixth Virginia-class submarine named NEW MEXICO. It has been involved in construction milestone ceremonies and crew support activities for the past four years.

The events that the Commissioning Committee is responsible for include a crew party, a luncheon for the Ship’s Sponsor, the CO’s Reception & Dinner, a breakfast for the platform briefing, and a post-commissioning reception. The expense for these events must be borne by the Commissioning Committee. In order to raise funds for these events the committee is seeking contributions. Contributions over a wide range are being sought. Go to Commissioning Contributions at http://www.ussnewmexico.net for more information.

Dick Brown, Chairman of the USS NM Commissioning Committee, joined us this afternoon to talk about the above article and the USS NM, which was a Navy League Innitiation that will honor the 1915 Battleship NM of WW1. They are presently raising funds for a number of events and have a $200K budget (you can contribute by visiting their website above). The crew is already on board, have been for the past 3 years and number 134. This a living tribute and is a great honor for NM, says Brown. He is a former sailor from the 1069's and has worked 10 years to see this dream come true, 5 years were spent, just for the name of the ship. With only 20 members, many who are Navy Vets, they are always looking for more Volunteers for the Navy League, so if you would like more information, to have them come to your church or organization for a power point presentation or tickets to this event, go to their website or write:

Chuck Bates, co-host of News & Views, which is heard every weekday here from 11am-1pm on KKIM, AM 1000 Albuquerque, FM 94.7 Santa Fe and worldwide on http://mykkim.com joined us to comment on our opening news article, The Hate Crimes Bill. He mentioned how the Senate had to attach it to a Defense Appropriations Bill, in order to get it passed and quoted Noah Webster, who said that homosexuality is "A Crime Against Nature," When asked by Dewey about Senator Snowe (story above), Chuck commented, "I think she's a sell-out!" Asked about the "Pay Zar?" He said that GM was taken over by an 'out of control President.' Chuck went on to say that New Mexicans voted for Al Gore and President Obama, so when questioned about the stimulus package, he asked, "Where's the money for NM? Government is too BIG, it's BLOATED and yet Government continues to expand in a down-turn." I told Dewey after that interview, he is surrounded by a wealth of professionals on KKIM!

Dear Listeners,

Ordinary women – this is you and me. Yet God has a plan for each one of us and will work in our lives in wonderful ways when we call out to Him. This week will be a personal story from an ordinary woman who has called out to God to help her live through extraordinary situations in her life. Debbie Forthman has agreed to be my guest to tell her story and how she turned to God with a faith that at times could have been hard to hold on to. Yet she did and you will to hear how God is now using her and her daughter to serve Him by ministering to other women. We will both laugh and cry together. Plan to tune in for this show.

The show airs from 8:05 to 9:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) this Saturday October 24 on radio station KKIM-AM1000 in Albuquerque and FM94.7 in the Santa Fe /northern NM area. The show is also audio streamed live on mykkim.com. If you have a question or comment, please give us a call. In the Albuquerque area the phone number is 998-0021. You can also call toll-free at 1-866-523-5008 1-866-523-5008 . I am looking forward to being with you this Saturday morning.
