Prayer is our connection to our Lord........we pray here at the CUP! Thanks for praying with us! Here is a PRAISE NOTE from Gwen! Just remember we are here for you......we are here to serve........not to be served. We have been praying for Gwen for months..Thanks for the update Gwen......I love it when folks keep us posted. Many of you have told me the same......as you pray for all the needs here.......

Hey Dewey,
I just thought you might like an update of what's been happening in my life. I had asked for physical and emotional prayers over the last year. My life has been restored to me. I'm OK physically now, and my depression/anxiety is much better. I now look forward to the future, where before I dreaded it. I'm volunteering at Meals on Wheels a couple days a week, and my husband and I are taking over the running of our food pantry at First Baptist of Rio Rancho. We've seen the Lord's hand in creating beauty from ashes. The food pantry has opportunity to grow, and with the Lord's help, it will. I'm just so thankful to be a part of His wonderful works.
Bless you and thanks for all your prayers,
Gwen

Dear, Dear friend ben Lucero has shared a book with me..God owns My Business.by Stanley Tam.........here is an AWESOME quote from Tam.......

"I believe tenaciously in the possibility of a man linking his life to God. I believe this to be the only truly good life, the kind of life within the grasp of every man, if he will simply and honestly endeavor to meet God's conditions."

Amen.........

My favorite verse........

My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24

Your going to hear a lot of this from me.............until the Lord calls me home........

Let us all increase our walk with Jesus Today!

Dewey,

Wow brother, what a powerful testimony! Thanks for a dose of the Holy Ghost to remind me of why I am are here on earth.

Your brother in Christ,

Manny F. Vildasol, MBA

Administrator

Office of the NM Secretary of State

This is what Manny was commenting on........May God Bless you as you read this and pray over it.........

Dear KKIM Family,

As I laid in bed last night I felt this blanket of peace and confidence over me....My mind is consumed in the Lord....my heart and soul the same......... It is such a blessing to be filled with the Lord from your head to your feet. It gives you a calmness, an awareness as to what the Lord wants you to do. The Holy Spirit is the Messenger, making you aware of everything the Lord wants you to know. There is nothing like this.......Sharon and I, the Kids, and the Ministry have challenges......but we have the Lord with us. This does not mean that our lives will not have moments of suffering or challenge. Suffering will always be part of life. What it does mean is that the degree to which you walk with God will determine the degree of everything you experience in life.

Through your walk with God, you will keep perspective. Through your walk, you will eventually know where the Lord is leading you. Through your walk, you will have the power to endure the challenges of life. Through your walk, you will gain insight and wisdom for decision making. Through your walk, you can live above the temptations of money, adultery, drugs, fraud..the temptations and ethical challenges of this culture. Through your walk, you will be able to win over the flaming missiles that are hurled everyday by Satan.

The temptation of sin is greater than ever in this society. That is the TRUTH!

Sandy passes along this sweet, touching note.........

Dewey:

Whitney Hill is a dear friend of mine whose dad went to be with the Lord on New Year’s Eve. Here is her email to her friends:

On New Year's Eve at 8:40 Kelly Lodge went home to see Jesus. As many of you know he got sick about a month ago with, what they think was a kidney infection. This caused an infection in his blood that then caused blood clotting. The blood clots in is brain got very bad and we were sent to Phoenix last Saturday. They tried different procedures, but nothing really worked and the doctors told us that they didn't think he had much brain function left. So we decided that he would not want to be like this and decided to withdraw care.

My mom, sisters, brother-in-law Beau, and I were in the room with him. It was an agonizing, amazing and surreal time. We all prayed and thanked God for this wonderful man and all that he has meant to us over the years. We sang songs and shared thoughts. It really was a special time, and God gave us a peace that we still don't understand. In that moment you saw everything my dad had work his life for...family and faith. Nothing meant more to him in life. He always put his family first and didn't blink an eye. Whether it was a movie his girls wanted or new pair a shoes for a dance, a special Christmas present, or just a phone call he took care of it because that was his job he would say, he was the dad and he loved every minute of it.

Even in his silence (he was in a medical coma towards the end) he was still touching lives. We had nurses and doctors and chaplains telling us that there is just something special about him and that they felt a very special connection with him. Well, we knew what it was, it was his faith in Jesus Christ and even in his silence this was evident. People were able to see who dad was through our strength that even we didn't understand at that moment but, that is how he raised us.

So my wish for you this New Year is that you remember what is important in life. Get your faith right with Jesus if that is something you need to do, accept Him as your savior and know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that He has a place prepared for you - my dad did. And love your family everyday, tell them everyday and show them in the little things you do. Rejoice in the little annoying things they do, because one day they will be gone, and trust me, you will miss them. Remember that family is the most important thing in life - my dad did. Have faith that Jesus will prevail, even if it doesn't seem like it at first He will and, He will receive the glory - my dad did. So, as Paul Harvey would say ( my dad loved him), and now for the rest of the story, well we are the rest of my dad's story. He lives on in us through the lessons he taught us and the faith he instilled in us. What's the rest of your story?

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts, we will still need them in the coming months.
Please pray for my mom, she is a tough cookie, but she will need strength.

Love,
Whitney and Family

Thank you all for being part of the KKIM/CUP family.......we love you all!

Let us pray...........

Lord, We come to you with all these Praise reports and needs........you know them before us.......Lord........We just PRAISE YOU our ALMIGHTY FATHER! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
