From John Robb Int Prayer Council KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Please share this with your Pastor and Church leaders and Friends.............This is from Our Dear, Dear Friend John Robb of the International Prayer Council. Please be in prayer.....................

“Prayer is the essence of the spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus’ mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” - Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life

Dear Friends,
This weekend kicks off a week of extremely significant events for Christ’s Kingdom. Tomorrow, Sunday, September 6 through the 8th, over 400 from around the world will gather for the international conference on the 4/14 Window, the children and youth between 4 and 14 years old that in that age window are the most receptive to the Gospel. There are approximately 1.2 billion of them and 70% live in that swath of nations known as the 10/40 Window where the greatest material poverty and spiritual lostness is- from Northwest Africa across the Middle East to Central and South Asia. Please pray with us for the following: 1)The Holy Spirit to fill this movement with His Presence and Power. 2)The body of Christ worldwide to make children, ages 4 to 14, a top ministry priority. 3)Leaders gathering in New York to have God’s clear strategy as they plan. 4)There to be authentic unity and effective collaboration among leaders.
As this significant event winds down, the International Prayer Initiative for the United Nations begins on Tuesday, the 8th, with about 400 prayer leaders and intercessors from close to 60 nations flying in to spend four days praying for the UN, the most influential institution on earth. After spending the first day focusing on various key international issues-- such as the international economic situation, governments and politics, women and children, Hollywood and the media, militant religion, unreached peoples, developing new wineskins and using the Internet to establish a global prayer network—we will spend one whole day inside the UN (Thursday) praying with ambassadors and UN officials for the Millennium Development Goals and urgent humanitarian issues with repentance for international sins like human trafficking and the drug trade. Pastor Enoch Adeboye who leads the largest local prayer gatherings on earth (several million in attendance) in his native Nigeria will be our keynote speaker. Then on the 11th, the anniversary of 9/11, we will prayer walk Ground Zero and Wall Street, then climb aboard a round Manhattan island cruise where with the Transform World Global Cities initiative participants, the Awakening America Alliance from across the USA, and New York prayer leaders, we will pray three hours for the needs of New York and other global cities represented as well as for the USA in its hour of growing need.
I am attaching the UN prayer/program guide in case you would like to participate with us from wherever you are. In addition, may I ask you to pray for the following:
For travel mercies for all the participants travelling over the next couple of days towards New York and to have favor with US immigration.
For all the ground transport and logistics, that we will not experience traffic blockages in commuting across the New York metropolis to the UN and other destinations. Time is of the essence, and we need to have special grace for moving such a large number around efficiently.
That the United Nations will be impacted deeply and that a culture of prayer will develop within the institution that is led by ambassadors and other insiders.
For the Lord’s powerful anointing on this initiative, His manifest presence taking us by the hand, showing us how to pray and what should be done at each point in the process. That our speakers, facilitators and chairs of sessions, and indeed all the participants, will be in touch with God in an intimate and responsive way so that we will flow in the river of the Holy Spirit together.
Thanks so, so much for your support in this way. I humbly believe that in the Lord’s hands, this could be one of the most powerful, transformative events in history. Your prayers will help make that possible!
Every blessing to you,
John Robb
International Prayer Council
