Yesterday was a HUGE day in the Lord. We had a live broadcast from REVIVE SANTA FE!! This revival is going so AWESOME. We had a live press conference for the media and public to ask questions about the revival, we had a good turn out and had ten pastors talk about the event. What a VICTORY for our LORD! This news conference which was from 4:30 to 5:15 was like a Town hall meeting.........radio like it should be! PRAISE GOD for KKIM!

And this was their testimony:

They began to pray.

The people of God knelt before the

Lord and sought the face of God.

And they continued to pray.

Some faltered but the faithful prayed on.

Then they rallied themselves together and prayed some more.

And the city shook.

The ground trembled and the demon powers quaked with fear

as the people of God tore down the strongholds of the evil one.

And the enemy fought against the people of God but did not prevail.

And the people came in droves.

The people came and great revival was upon the land. Many were

saved, many souls were healed. Miracles and manifestation of God's

power and spirit were done.

And the revival broke forth and reached all across the land.

For the demon powers of the enemy were broken. The stronghold

of Satan was brought down and the people of God triumphed through

Jesus Christ.

And many strongholds were brought low across the land. God's

manifestation of spirit and power went abroad everywhere.



Please pray for Revival all over the United States!!!!

I have only turned each age I've been once; I doubt that I will have a 2nd time around on any one of the yrs/birthdays {{{smiles}}} On another note, Jamie is my youngest daughter (24) sorry if I did something to cause that confusion (she deserves it :-) she called me on my birthday and the 1st thing she said was "Mom, you are really old now!" I am trying to catch up on emails, etc. was busy over the weekend w/my older daughter & helping her get things moved from Muncie to Elkhart. The shop she worked at (hair salon) is closing... a nice time to move closer to home yay!
At the same time...been working thru a hard stage - my mom who has been fighting a battle against cancer for 2 yrs now and has surprised the drs. that she has beat it this long... is deteriorating fast. Please pray for comfort, peace, relief from suffering for her. I know she's going home to Jesus...I don't know the time frame of this...but its not looking hopeful here for her... I know the joys & celebrations for her on the other side...those who have gone before and are waiting to welcome her w/open arms.. her mom...my brother who has been waiting a long time for her. I have been reminded I have to let her go... I am having a hard time w/that in my heart...i understand in my head. God is Good...all the time...Karen

Orissa's Nightmare: Will It Ever End?


Attacks on Christians continue as violence spreads to other states.

Twenty days after the attacks on Christians began in India's Orissa state, 300 villages lie in ashes, 4,000 Christian homes are burned, scores of churches are destroyed, and perhaps as many Christians lie butchered, burned or murdered. Worse, there is no confirmation that the violence has ceased. And where are the great Indian government leaders?

Indian Christians are begging the federal government to intervene, and U.S. Congressmen are asking how Indian federal officials can stand by and watch mob violence take over a state. The world is reacting, while the parochial U.S. media ignore the issue. This newsletter covers all of this. Sorry if it is longer than you wish.


How it began

After Hindu Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati was murdered in an attack on his ashram by Maoist Naxalites rebels on August 23, radical Hindus immediately announced Christians had murdered their leader and went on a rampage of revenge.

Of course, the Christians had had nothing to do with the attack. The All India Christian Council immediately issued a letter condemning the act, and Naxalites on September 1 finally claimed responsibility for their noxious deed.

The Naxalite's letter said, "The Sangh Parivar leaders ... have been trying to divert the people by uttering lies that it is not the Maoists but Christian organizations that had carried out the attack on the VHP leader." (Sangh Parivar means "United Family," referring to the coalition of right-wing Hindu organizations, while VHP refers to Vishwa Hindu Parishad or World Hindu Council.)

The Maoists' statement went on to say that Swami Saraswati was a "rabid anti-Christian ideologue and persecutor of innocent Christians who was responsible for the burning down of over 400 churches in Kandhamal district alone." So the Maoists have become defenders of the Christians! We'll take what we can get.

Widespread damage
But it was too late. Fanatic Hindus had already begun a misguided rampage of revenge that has not been thoroughly quelled as we write. The conflagration has spread to 14 of Orissa's 30 districts, reduced at least 300 villages to ashes, consumed over 4,000 homes of Christians, and left 50,000 Christians hiding in the jungle for a week or more in the rain, with 13,000 still in relief camps.

Benny Mathews of Alpha Ministries quoted Kandhamal District Collector Krishan Kumar September 2 as saying, "At least 2,400 buildings, including prayer houses and schools, have been damaged or burnt."

While state officials reportedly confirmed only 13 dead, the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI) cited 42 deaths, and Dr. Sajan George, President of the Global Council of Indian Christians, claimed to have documented 53 deaths. The truth may never be known, since by the time investigators are allowed into the villages, enemies of the gospel may have disposed of any remaining bodies of their victims.

An EFI report posted online September 8 listed 35 denominations suffering losses, 11 schools and colleges attacked, and four NGOs assaulted. While many attacks were against Roman Catholic properties prominent in the area, many evangelical ministries also were targeted. These included the Assemblies of God, Believers Church (Gospel for Asia), Indian Pentecostal Church, Indian Evangelical Team, Himalaya Evangelical Mission, Orissa Missionary Movement, Orissa Follow-Up, and churches planted by Hindustan Bible Institute graduates as well as independent and other denominational churches.

Leaders speak out
P.M. Thomas wrote me from Himalaya Evangelical Mission headquarters in Gorakhpur Monday: "We have nine churches there. Now most of our pastors and believers are living in the forest. Pastor Korkora's house is destroyed and some of the valuables were taken away; Pastor Gyani Harpal's house is completely burned down; Sister Deepti had to be taken by motorcycle at night to a forest, as she cannot walk because of an earlier fracture."



This girl kept her personal items in this metal box. When arsonists came she fled for her life, leaving her brother behind, unable to carry him and save herself. After the arsonists left, all she could find was the empty metal box.
Speaking for Indian Evangelical Team, Joy Thomas wrote Sept. 4:

"IET missionaries and believers of Phulbani, Koraput and Udliaguda were affected. In Phulbani our nine pastors' families and 91 families of believers are in the relief camp. Churches in Butuguda have been damaged by the fanatics. Four believer's houses were burnt. In Udliaguda two houses of our believers were burnt and three churches destroyed. Also houses of two of our missionaries were burnt by the fanatics."

Dr. Paul "Bobby" Gupta, President of Hindustan Bible Institute in Chennai (Madras) sent this urgent appeal last week:

"One of our churches was completed broken. There was a bomb blast and three churches and one orphanage building were damaged. Many of our pastors' houses were broken down and they have gone into hiding in the forest. There is continuous rain, and they have no shelter or food to survive. The situation in this district is becoming very tense. It is painful to hear the troubles that the Church is facing right now. Just this afternoon one of our students got the news that his house was completely broken and vandalized. He does not know where his parents are. Knees needed!"

Bishop M.A. Thomas of Emmanuel Ministries said at least ten of his pastors had their homes completely destroyed. Yet they avoided going to the relief camps because militants seek them out there and try to force them become Hindus. Moreover, recent reports cited two instances where VHP activists poisoned or tried to poison the water supplies of relief camps.

"About 3,000 militants came to attack our orphanage and our small building, where Pastor Kishore, his wife and orphan children stayed," Bishop Thomas continued. "But a small group of police turned them away. This was a miracle from God; otherwise how could such a small group of police protect Pastor Kishore and 28 orphan children from 3,000 angry militants?"

He added, "They attacked our orphanage in Bamunigam, Kandhamal. The militants entered the building and destroyed and burned everything, even the records and all the belongings of Pastor Sameer Majhi. They destroyed the kitchen and the things in the kitchen completely, but because of the police at least no life was lost."

"In Kolampur district, the militants attacked Pastor Gopinath Baniya, beat him very badly and destroyed the building. Praise God they did not kill him. Please earnestly prayer for him."

Yet some paid the ultimate price.

"Our Pastor Akbar Digal was killed by the big giant, the Hindu militant group," Bishop Thomas said. "He became a martyr on 29th August 2008." He reminded us that two other pastors, Pastor Anil Majhi and Pastor Alok Kumar, were killed by militant Hindus in Orissa on December 27th, 2007.

Violence spreading
But the trouble is far from ending, and may, in fact, be spreading. Compass Direct published news Monday of three attacks on Christians: One each in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka states.

In Madhya Pradesh suspected members of the Bajrang Dal and VHP burned down St. Bartholomew Church in Ratlam last Sunday after parishioners had decorated it to celebrate its 86th anniversary. (The Bajrang Dal means "Army of the Strong" and is the young men's branch of the VHP that is prone to anti-Christian violence.)

In neighboring Chhattisgarh last Friday members of the Bajrang Dal forced themselves onto a train and kidnapped four babies being transported by two nuns to an orphanage. The militants then filed charges of forced conversions against the nuns. When two other nuns arrived by vehicle to answer the first sisters' call for help, the militants beat the driver and one of the nuns.

In Karnataka 30 militants on motorcycles and an SUV stormed a church worship service, beat some of the worshipers, drove the pastor to a Hindu temple, and forced him to observe Hindu rituals. The violence has taken on the mode of ethnic cleansing.

Meanwhile, back in Orissa D.B. Hrudaya of Orissa Follow-Up reported 20 more houses of Christians were burned September 8, while the families fled into the forest. In four other villages 70 Christian families were forced to become Hindus.

According to a Sept. 8 article in the Times of India, in a separate incident Kamalini Naik, seven months pregnant, was ordered to denounce Christianity and convert to Hinduism. When she refused, she and her one-year-old son were "cut to pieces," according to witnesses.

Worldwide concern
What most of us (including Indian Christians) don't understand is why the Indian government seems to stand by and do nothing to stop the carnage. How can a nation pegged as the world's largest democracy let anarchy overtake a state? And why should it take 19 days to stop such anarchy?

A delegation of Indian citizens met with Indian President Pratibha Patil on September 1, asking her to enforce Article 355 of the Federal Constitution that calls for President's rule amid unstable conditions.

As in the U.S., the federal government is handicapped from entering a state unless invited to do so by state authorities--which Orissa thus far has refused to do. Yet if Orissa did not have sufficient police personnel to protect all the villages, asking for federal reinforcements would have been the logical thing to do. Its failure to do so suggests complicity with the Hindutva right-wing agenda.

At least India's Supreme Court has demanded that Orissa show that it has taken all plausible steps to ensure the safety of its citizens in Kandhamal district. The state has responded, a bit tardily, that it has ensured that no additional demonstrations are being allowed on behalf of the deceased Swami (though the VHP vowed to proceed with them anyway).

All this has caught the attention of nations and persecution watchers worldwide.

UK-based Christian Solidarity Worldwide has condemned the violence and sought to bring it to the world's attention, as have International Christian Concern, Compass Direct, a persecution reporting agency sponsored by Open Doors, and others.

Late last week a group of seven members of Congress petitioned the Indian government to get a handle on the situation. "We unequivocally condemn the murder of the Swami, yet we are also appalled to see how mob violence has taken root so quickly once again...," the letter stated.

"The reports of brutal killings and the widespread destruction of property... are extremely disturbing and we strongly urge the Government of India to maintain a strong security presence to guarantee the protection of vulnerable communities which are facing the immediate risk of violence and death. ... We urge the Government of India to take immediate steps to investigate these events and bring justice for the victims of the violence. In order to prevent future attacks, it is imperative that the government also address the climate fostering these attacks. India, with its great religious diversity, faces considerable challenges with communalism, but a democratic government must work to ensure the security and freedom of all its citizens."

The letter was signed by Congressmen Trent Franks (Arizona), Chris Smith (New Jersey), Bill Sali (Idaho), Robert Aderholt (Alabama), Bob Inglis (South Carolina), Mark Souder (Indiana), and Joseph Pitts (Pennsylvania). We commend these Congressmen for their world perspective.

Meanwhile back in Orissa Christian leaders are keeping a low profile. Still today a report was received saying even those attempting to go into the area to help have been beaten.

Milk-toast U.S. media
Meanwhile, I am appalled at the indifference of major U.S. media to this unthinkable atrocity. I have searched in vain to find any reference to it in the newspapers. The Washington Post has not published anything on it. I don't think any of the major TV news outlets have run any video on it (though AP and Reuters articles are sometimes found on their websites). They all seem too preoccupied with lipstick politics. No wonder Americans remain ignorant.

Are we ever too tired for God?

Do we ever catch our self trying too hard; worrying too much that we forget that those things that we do for good and for God’s good purposes are already blessed by God?

Do we ever run ahead of God getting nowhere, except running extra laps around God while we wait on God to move on HIS project in HIS divine time???

We cannot change the world, but God can!
We cannot change the hearts of people, but God can!

Do Not Forget the LORD

All we can do is be good Stewarts with Christ and let HIS light shine in our smile, words and actions…More powerful than anything that we can do alone is to let God live in us and HE can use us to help change the hearts of people…

It is a personal choice that we all must make to trust God with our heart and Jesus with our life!

Even when we see an easier way for another, we must remember to trust God as God leads each of us through events that change our lives…and it is all with God’s timing and purpose! We cannot push, shove, drag or force someone to a better or an easier life with Christ. Each person must make that personal choice…

Do we sometimes forget that God is leading and orchestrating events that change each of our lives for the better? HE IS!

…God is the ONE who can do all things…not us…

WE are just servants and we need to remember to depend on God…and trust HIM in All things!

May we simply allow God lead, guide and provide for us every day!
May we remember to “Be still and know that I am God” because…HE IS GOD…May we remember that God IS God and choose to rest in HIM.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled…”

And let us not forget to honor God our Father, who gives us all…Praise and Thank HIM from the depths of our soul and serve HIM by HIS guiding hand.

(Undated) -- One of the most beloved cartoon characters in history has been declared "one of Satans soldier's" by an Islamic cleric. Sheikh Muhammad Munajid's comments made on al-Majd TV were directed at Mickey Mouse and the cartoon cat and mouse duo Tom and Jerry. The former diplomat at the Saudi embassy in Washington says under Sharia law, household mice and their cartoon likenesses must be killed. Munajid explained, quote, "according to Islamic law, the mouse is a repulsive, corrupting creature." In addition to Mickey and Tom and Jerry, Munajid had harsh words for the recent Olympic games in Beijing. He labeled the event the "bikini Olympics," saying nothing makes Satan happier than seeing female athletes in skimpy clothing.

There's red tape. Annoying but inevitable. Then there is what's happening to Sandra Jean Cooley. Red tape just doesn't do justice to what this woman is being forced to deal with as she also grapples with an illness threatening her life.
Cooley is a 59-year-old cancer-stricken Minnesota mother of three and grandmother. She raised three kids while holding down a part-time job for more than 20 years. One of her kids is a Carver County sheriff's deputy. The others are a Golden Valley accountant and a human resources executive at a west metro hospital near her home in Waconia.
A beloved Waconia High School cafeteria worker, Cooley was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 1/2 years ago. A year ago, the cancer spread to bones in her left shoulder and her right hip, to her lungs, liver and adrenal glands.
The cancer forced her to quit her job late last year and apply for Social Security disability payments that amount to $422 a month. The Social Security Administration approved her claim within a month.
Doesn't matter, it seems. She might as well have crossed the border from Mexico today, as far as the federal government is concerned.
That's the way Cooley is being treated as bureaucrats question the validity of her U.S. citizenship. She has yet to receive one penny of the money to which she is entitled to help defray mounting out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Cooley is not only facing serious health problems. She is also
dealing with what can only be described in a family newspaper as asinine lunacy because of a decision her dirt-poor parents made six decades ago.
Why? Ask the Department of Homeland Security. Good luck.
"My mom is afraid she will die before this entire mess is straightened out and will never receive her benefits,'' said daughter Sheila Owen, the sheriff's deputy.
It's a well-grounded fear. A visit to the past is in order here.
TOUGH START IN LIFE
Cooley's parents — Nellie Kathleen and Donald Travis Gibney — lived in Neche, N.D., a tiny town near the Canadian border and hometown of Henry Gurke, a World War II Medal of Honor recipient. Donald was a union ironworker. Nellie was a housewife. Life wasn't easy. Over the years, to help make ends meet, the couple's five children would be hired out during the summer months to local farm fam ilies. The Cooleys would not see their children until the start of school in the fall.
When their third child was due, the couple drove nearly nine miles north to Altona, Manitoba, where Nellie gave birth to Sandra Cooley on April 29, 1949.
Sandra was born two years after Donald Gibney returned from serving seven years as a mechanic.

The total bill for the seven-day stay at the hospital was little more than $58 and change. In those days, $3 — a substantial sum for such a family — would enable hospital officials to convert Sandra Cooley's birth certificate to reflect that she was the child of a U.S.-born citizen.
Her financially strapped parents decided no t to pay and took their newborn home. Four other children — two before Sandra Cooley and two after — would be born in similar fashion, driven to the same Canadian hospital. Over the years, all but Sandra Cooley were able, without much problem, to successfully have their

Despite the fact that Gibney is a war veteran and U.S. citizen, Cooley has to find proof that he lived in the U.S. ten years before she was born in order to receive her social security benefits. (Pioneer Press: Brandi Jade Thomas)citizenship status changed.
But as Sandra's husband, Bill, notes, those approvals took place before the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
"I think that's what is going on here,'' he said.
BLIZZARD OF PAPERWORK
Sandra and Bill Cooley applied for the citizenship change to satisfy the Department of Homeland Security's requirements. They submitted Sandra Cooley's birth certificate, record of work and income tax returns, as well as her late parents' birth certificates and0Anaturalization documents.
Sandra Cooley's mother, who was born in Canada, became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1953.
The Cooleys requested a meeting with federal immigration officials this summer after they did not hear back. They were told a division office in Rapid City, S.D., not Minnesota, would handle their claim.
They received a letter dated July 2 requesting additional information, including Sandra Cooley's birth certificate and evidence that she resided with her parents in North Dakota, as well as school and tax records (see full letter at the bottom of this page).
Not good enough, it seemed.
A letter dated July 18 asked the couple to submit "a clear and legible copy of your father's Form DD-214. Discharge and Separation documents.''
The agency also noted that it needed evidence under Immigration and Naturalization Act Section 301 to prove her father was a U.S. resident at least 10 years before her birth.
They sent relatives' documents, including her late father's birth certificate, military records and a 1972 affidavit signed by him and properly notarized saying he was born and lived here.
Not good enough, the agency wrote back July 29.
It seems the family has not submitted enough proof.
"The Service notes you previously submitted copies of your grammar school report cards as evidence of your continued residency in the Untied [sic] States,'' the July 29 letter to the Cooleys states. "While noted, these documents do not establish 2 years of continued physical presence between the ages of 14 and 28.''
Short of the seven days she spent as a newborn at the Canadian hospital, Cooley has lived here all this time.
Not good enough.
The family also was told in one of the letters that the agency still needs proof not only that Sandra Cooley's father was a U.S. resident 10 years before her birth but also that he was 12 or older before that time.
"No names. There's no name, no e-mail address,'' Bill Cooley said of the three letters he has received from the agency, which also carry no contact phone number. "No nothing. Just an address in South Dakota."
Bill Cooley said he tried in vain to call to have someone directly address his wife's situation.
The Cooleys are now trying to track down pre-1940 school records for Sandra's father, who attended classes at a one-room Bathgate, N.D., school that no longer exists.
"I can't believe it. This is the worst bureaucracy I have ever seen,'' said Bill Cooley, fighting mightily to hold back tears.
WORSENING HEALTH
The Cooleys have more serious things to worry about. Two weeks ago, doctors treating Sandra Cooley discovered five tumors in her brain.
The tumors have dramatically affected her balance and memory.
"The part that is scary for us is that, just a week before she got the brain diagnosis, s he was fine,'' said Sheila Owen. All of a sudden, there was a rapid decline of her mental status. "She walks around now like she's drunk all the time, confused and kind of wobbly."
Sandra Cooley will undergo surgery at the University of Minnesota this week in an attempt to shrink, if not eliminate, the brain tumors.
