MONDAYS FRESH CUP! Our walk together KKIM/DDC
Good Morning KKIM Family,

When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. live your life in such a way so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.

Some thoughts from the weekend..........
I keep getting emails from folks we have and are praying for that their prayers are being answered! I pray that you keep a list and pray over those in need daily. I will talk to Jannetta about a separate section that would always have our prayer needs listed..How about that?
I thank our Lord for all the friends Sharon and I have...........We have so many friends that give us such encouragement in the Lord.
Sometimes I fail.........
Something did not go well on Friday because I took it upon myself to leave God out of it..........I thought I knew what was best and in the emotion of it...........went with MY EMOTIONS.......
That got me thinking...........
Our biggest messes come when we try to do something for God that we're convinced He can't do for himself.
Our worst moments result from grabbing for ourselves that which God has not given us.
We are to live on His ability, not our own. I need to remember what scripture says about God's ability:
"And God is able to make all grace abound to us, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us..........
I went on EMOTION not GOD!
Like this bail out our Country is looking for.............
When we're looking into the future, we're not listening to God. Anything we do to try and guarantee stability ON OUR OWN TERMS will actually rob us of the freedom to simply follow God today. We'll resort to our own wisdom instead of following His. THE GREATEST FREEDOM GOD CAN GIVE US IS TO TRUST HIM TO CARE FOR US EACH DAY.
When we read God's word.........it set's us free.
When we walk with God each day and listen to the Holy Spirit it set's us free.
Many of you already know all this I write about......it's just that sometimes are walk with the Lord get's off track.........I had a friend tell me this...........and it is so TRUE.......as the Lord has provided me with so much Godly energy since I have come to KKIM...........I just need to remember it...........
As you follow God, Dewey, you'll find yourself doing more that you've ever done, but it's won't be the frantic activity of a desperate person, it will be the simple obedience of a loved child. That's all God desires."
In closing, I saw Brenda from Ft. Sumner Saturday at the Arc of New Mexico Board Meeting..........She is happily married..........PRAISE GOD!
Brenda said this, "I am really thankful for the Daily Cup and the whole family........praying for each other and making friends who I may never meet.......from all over!"
That is what the Daily Cup is all about, God's family.........praying for each other and making ourselves vulnerable in the Lord and learning from each other........and encouraging each other in our daily walk with Jesus Christ.
AMEN!
