Dear KKIM Family,
Nearly 500 new visitors to the web site in October!!! Praise God!!!
If you have ever wanted to give something to the Daily Cup………..may I suggest you please give to the effort we have going on to support the poorest of the poor, Orphans. Please go to http://www.mykkim.com/ and prayfully consider helping in this HUGE effort. No matter where you read this you can help with this effort.
Before we start……………….a word from Oswald Chambers……….
We have to get out of the old pagan way of guiding ourselves by our head and get into the Christian way of being guided by faith in a personal God, whose methods are a perpetual contradiction to our every preconceived notion.
The LORD is my strength and my shield, my heart trusted in HIM, and I am helped. Psalm 28:7
Please pray for all those in Albuquerque that worked at Eclipse Aviation and did not get paid yesterday. About 1,100 were told yesterday that the company did not have the money to pay them for their last two weeks of work and the State told them all to go home and await word about the companies future.
Let us all put our feet in the shoes of all those losing their jobs. Can you imagine how it felt to go into work and being told you will not be paid for your last two weeks of work?
Today call some one you have not heard from and ages.
Today tell a stranger hello.
Today give someone a nice surprise………make their day!
Let us all turn to Our Father in Heaven!
I had State Rep. Janice E. Arnold Jones on New Mexico News and Views yesterday talking about the Eclipse situation and when asked about the situation, Janice was not quick to answer…….as she said sometimes we do not have the answers…..she is so right on……Man can try to solve the present economic condition of this country……..but our TRUE answer in life is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Here is note from one of our dear friends, Joe Page. Joe and Linda of Car Pro’s Auto Sales have been a strong supporter of KKIM since I came to be with the Radio Ministry. We are teaming with Joe and Linda’s Church Montgomery Church of Christ to help get the word out about their free Thanksgiving meal for those in need. More information on this posting………..But I wanted to share with you a note that Joe sent………
Keep up the good work Dewey! We’re in the trenches everyday. We recently had a men’s breakfast honoring veterans; when asked what branch of the service that I was in, I responded- ” The Lord’s Army”, so that what they wrote on my name tag. JP
Joe is so right about being part of the Lord’s Army! Remember that old time song……….Onward Christian Soldiers? I miss hearing that………that is the type of song we need to be playing today as things get very tough for many. We are all part of God’s Army…….Let us all reach out to those in need. Let us all stick together in Christ.
A special hello to Vickie and Lew of A-1 Travel, John Chitwood of Southern Blvd. Automotive, Bob Daniel, Robert Gibson all long time sponsors of KKIM!!!! God Bless you all!!!! To all of you who help sponsor KKIM, thanks so much for being with us!!!!
News from Kyle Martin, Jason Samuel, Goshen College Indiana……….The Indiana Connection!!!
Talked with Kyle Martin yesterday. You hear Kyle Sunday mornings at 8:30 on KKIM, he led Revive Santa Fe. The Goshen newspaper is doing a write up on Kyle. Kyle’s hometown of Middleburry is right outside Goshen. Goshen is the home of the famous Goshen College, where one of my former staffers of WFRN, Jason Samuel is the manager of the College Radio station. Anyhow I still have many ties to Indiana as you can tell. I was asked by the reporter of the Goshen News why I put Kyle on KKIM. Simple…..God told me to. He is young, very passionate about God and God’s word…….he has a message that needs to be heard, and we need new blood in Radio Ministry across the world. Listen to Kyle at 8:30am Sundays right after Pastor Vic Tafoya.
Just one more thing……When you go to http://www.mykkim.com/ and go to our program guide you will find out more about Kyle and his Church the Dallas Bible Church.
More thoughts from Oswald Chambers…….
JESUS NEVER MENTIONED unanswered prayer, He had the boundless certainty that prayer is always answered.
Here is a question to reflect on……….
What prayer am I trying to answer in my own strength?
Wow, what a question!
Okay now here is more details on the Montgomery Church of Christ Thanksgiving meal for the needy….they also need help serving. Can you help?
For those who may be struggling to have a good Thanksgiving meal, the Montgomery Church of Christ will be serving families within our community on Thanksgiving day, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, at no charge. Let’s check that mailbag………I love mail! I would love to hear from you! Drop me a line…..Sharon and I would love it!
Dewey, Thank you for the wonderful encouragement in today’s Midweek Cup. What sweet, sweet stories and words of wisdom that we need to hear. Glad Pastor Don is doing well. We are so blessed to have the power of prayer as such a vital part of our healing process! How could we ever go through life without Jesus! I am so blessed that my mother exposed me to Christ when I was young instead of “letting” me decide for myself as an adult as so many do today. My mother at 95 is suffering from dementia and has lost a great deal of her memory. BUT, she remembers her faith and sings old hymns over and over for comfort from her fear of not remembering other things.
Will be praying for you and Sharon today too. Love in Christ, Cherie Snow
Hi Dewey,
Great stores Dewey, especially the little boy and the shoes and the other little boy “helping the old man cry”. Made me weep. Thanks, Frank (The Old Texan) Haley cjf Isa. 9:6″When the sunshine of God’s love meets the showers of our sorrow, the rainbow of promise appears.”
Dewey, PLEASE watch this……KKIM sure helped me get through this election, what a wonderful job you all did…..THANK YOU, Jan

Dewey, there’s a rumor going around that “God owns the cattle on a thousand hills.” Think He might sell a few? You’ll enjoy this illustration I used recently on one of my programs, in that regard:
“Shortly after Dallas Theological Seminary was founded in 1924, it almost came to the point of bankruptcy. All the creditors were going to foreclose at noon on a particular day. That morning they met in the president’s office with Dr. Chafer for prayer that God would provide. In that prayer meeting was a man by the name of Dr. Harry Ironside. When it was his turn to pray, he prayed in his characteristic manner:
“Lord, we know that the cattle on a thousand hills are Yours. Please sell some of them and send us the money.”
While they were praying, a tall Texan with boots on and an open collar stepped up to the business office outside and said, “I just sold two carloads of cattle and I feel compelled to give the money to the seminary. I don’t know if you need it or not, but here’s the check!”
A little secretary took the check and, knowing how critical things were financially, rushed to the door of the prayer meeting and timidly tapped. When she finally got a response, Dr. Chafer took the check out of her hand. It was exactly the amount of the debt! When he looked at the name, he recognized the cattleman in Ft. Worth, and turning to Dr. Ironside he said, ‘Harry, God sold the cattle!'”
Dewey, any cattlemen out there in the KKIM family”
Here is a great story from our AWESOME FRIEND NIK…………..
May His Son bless you from today on out!
Why do I always have to be the one that starts to do laundry and there’s no detergent? I guess it was time for me to do my ‘Dollar Store’ run, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags and Clorox. So off I went.I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies, and headed for the checkout counter only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man that appeared to be about sixteen years old. I wasn’t in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there…This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, ‘Mommy, I’m over here.’ It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged, and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, “Hey Buddy, what’s your name?””My name is Denny and I’m shopping with my mother,” he responded proudly.”Wow,” I said, “that’s a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Hal.””Hal like Halloween?” he asked.”Yes,” I answered. “How old are you, Denny?””How old am I now, Mommy?” he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle.”You’re fifteen-years-old Denny; now be a good boy and let the man pass by.”
I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement because he was the center of someone’s attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.Denny’s mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son.She told me that most people wouldn’t even look at him, much less talk to him… I told her that it was my pleasure and then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the prompting of the Holy Spirit.I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow and pink roses in God’s garden, however, ‘Blue Roses’ are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a ‘Blue Rose’ and if someone doesn’t stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they’ve missed a blessing from God.She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, “Who are you?”Without thinking I said, “Oh, I’m probably just a ‘daffodil or maybe even a dandelion,” but I sure love living in God’s garden.
Be blessed, Be safe, Be Alright.
Help Others and God will take care of you.Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved.
God Bless you all, Dewey Sharon and family
Please keep praying for each other and our families.
