Dear KKIM Family,
On Saturday Sharon and I attended the memorial service for Linda Szalay. Linda was a dear friend and Sharon’s mentor in nursing. She had cancer. At the service….WOW! What a tribute to a wonderful servant of God. She was an angel of mercy…….She served so many…….They said her hands healed many…..When the Doctor’s were at their wit’s end, they would call Linda and have her put her Godly hands on the babies. Sharon got up and gave her tribute to Linda……..we both wept as the Godly tributes continued for this wonderful angel of mercy…….May we all learn to serve others and put ourselves last………….
Jesus knew…………he had come from God and was returned to God; so he……..wrapped a towel around his waist…….and began to wash his disciple’s feet.
John 13: 3-5
Jesus, in full consciousness of HIS divine nature, humbled Himself and washed the disciples feet. Why did He do it?
One reason was because He was a gentleman. In those days, when people came into a home, it was common courtesy to wash their feet of the defilement contracted in the street. None of the others picked up a towel and basin that night at the Last Supper, so out of courtesy, Jesus did. Another reason was because He loved doing it. He liked washing dirty feet because He had the spirit of a servant. That was His nature. “I didn’t come to have other people serve Me; I cam to serve them” was His attitude.
That’s the kind of spirit we need in order to experience fruitful ministry. Jesus’ words to the disciples remind us today that the only way we can attain greatness in HIS kingdom is through greatness of servanthood. We become first only by being everybody’s slave.

There is something very special about God’s nurses here on earth…..I should know I am married to one of the greatest!
Please remember Frank Haley in your prayers. He undergoes hip replacement surgery today at 7:30am. Mistie Miles is filling in for Frank while he recovers.
A Special shout out to my brother in Christ Chris in Bakersfield, California…….he runs the Christian station there for our parent company AGM.
And also a special welcome to Marilyn of Albuquerque……..She works with Pastor Bob Brown who is on Fridays at 3:30 on KKIM! Welcome Marilyn.
By the way of you have anybody you know that wants to get the Cup emailed to them, let me know!
I went 8 for 8 yesterday in softball! We split a double dip! PRAISE GOD that I can still play….it is so wonderful! It is great to get out on the ball field and clear your head for a couple of hours and enjoy God’s World!
