Dear KKIM Family,
Another day to serve our Lord! PRAISE GOD!!!
It’s great to be with you on this wonderful day the Lord has made!!!
Let us serve HIM with all our heart and soul this day!!!
“Remember, God doesn’t seem to call the equipped; rather, He equips the called.” Jean McGinley
Satan trembles when he sees the least of God’s children on their knees. he doesn’t like praise; it makes him incredibly uncomfortable. Whatever he wants to do, he has to work ten times harder to do it when God’s people are praying. Wouldn’t you like to see him exhausted and worn out by your prayers and praise? Worship, hallowing the name of the Lord, is a great weapon for spiritual warfare. I love worship not only because of what I know it means to God; but because it’s a powerful way to combat the Evil One. By David Jeremiah heard weekdays on KKIM at 5:05am
Please pray for Pastor Larry Moss. I call him “Big Bear” because he is a Big man for the Lord, he has a BIG heart for the Lord and has done much for God’s people here in the state of New Mexico. I talked to Larry yesterday (he retired from Heights Cumberland and KKIM Radio Ministry programs in July) for the first time since he returned from his trip to Kentucky. He has been ill since July 24th. His blood enzymes are out of wack and about every muscle in his body hurts. It takes a lot to keep Larry down and this has. Please keep Larry in your prayers. We love him so much!
Please pray for Pastor Marvin Capehart who has the longest running radio program in New Mexico Radio history, “Ask The Pastor” Saturday’s on KKIM at 11:05am. Marvin was in the Heart Hospital earlier this week as Doctor’s thought he had a heart attack. Marvin will be undergoing more tests. Please keep him in your prayers. Marvin serves our Lord and the people of New Mexico in mighty ways, let us now pray for him. We love Marvin and Larry so much…what role models for us all!
Our prayers are God’s opportunities…What will prayer do for you? My answer is this: Everything that God can do for you. – Frederick William Farrar
Dear Friends,
There are a number of serious situations that compel our interest and intercession. A friend of mine who does humanitarian work in Pakistan just called this morning asking urgent prayer for the terrible plight of Christians in two villages who were attacked a few days ago by a mob of 15,000 trained Muslim attackers. In one village, 10 people were killed, including one family with children who were burned alive in the attack. “It is terrible, everything has been destroyed” he reported. Christians in other areas are living under great stress, posting guards about their community and fearing a similar assault. Let’s be in continued prayer for Pakistan, perhaps the most strategic nation on earth right now. Pray for the overthrow of radical Islam, the Taliban and Al Qaeda who would dearly love to take over the nation and its arsenal of nuclear weapons. The Pakistani army made good progress rooting the Taliban out of the Swat Valley and one of their top leaders was killed a couple days ago. Pray that these benighted Islamic fanatics will repent, stop their attacks on others and come to know the Lord. Pray for the Christians for encouragement, protection and provision of relief. If you want to help, let me know and I will connect you to the Christian humanitarian agency that is seeking to provide assistance.
In Nigeria, a similar tragic attack happened when an Islamic sect opposed to Western education rioted , burned churches and killed 12 Christian leaders and other believers in the northern Borno state. Other believers have been abducted and threatened with death if they do not renounce Christ. Pray for the protection of Christ’s people and that the authorities will uphold the law, guaranteeing the security of all in the northern part of the country. May many Muslims come to know the truth and love of the Lord through all of this religious conflict and the faithful, courageous witness of His followers!
In Iran, 40-45 million young people who were not born when the Islamic revolution happened in 1979 are tired of all the restrictions and lack of personal freedoms. They also need jobs which are very scarce. Pray that the fast-growing home churches will be able to reach out effectively to this huge number of potentially receptive youth and children. Pray also for those who continue to protest the fraud perpetrated on them by the government in the recent election. May true reform and liberation come to the Iranian people and may they come to know the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus Christ!
Afghanistan will hold its national election on August 20. Please pray for the 44 candidates for public office, including the incumbent president, Hamid Karzai, that they will be kept safe as they campaign around the country and that the people will be able to discern who would make the best, most honest and capable leaders. Pray for the overthrow of the Taliban and the success of the coalition forces in combating them. Pray that the Afghan people will come to know the Lord and be able to live peaceful and blessed lives in a new and healed nation.
Finally, please keep the upcoming United Nations Prayer Initiative (Sept 8-12) in your prayers. Pray for the final preparations to be effective; for all the participants to get visas and their airline tickets on time; for all the ambassadors who are being invited to clear their schedules and come; and for the Lord’s strong anointing and clear guidance for all of us who will be leading as facilitators, chairs and speakers. This will be a rare and exciting opportunity for hundreds of prayer leaders from about 70 nations to gather at the global level. May the Lord bring wonderful breakthroughs in the many international issues that we will be addressing in united prayer! I will send you more information as we get closer to the event so you can participate from afar.
Every blessing to you,
John Robb

Please be in prayer…………..
Here is an excellent devotional from Chris Tiegreen……….
Most of us don’t understand our own desires. We all want fulfillment, and we think we know how to get it, but we don’t. nearly everything we expect to be fulfilling is a temporary fix. It may scratch at some itches, move us deeply, or even satisfy our longings temporarily, but ultimately it all falls short. Deep down, we want to be fulfilled completely and forever. We’ve never come up with a solution for that.
God has. Malachi prophesied that the messenger of the covenant, the Messiah, was actually the desire of our hearts. he is the Lord we were seeking, the One we delight in. And, Malachi says, He will come.
Impure hearts like our’s don’t necessarily find that comforting. We want our desires to be fulfilled, and to a person, we all seem to think God doesn’t quite understand our desires. Our assumption is that He has a great plan for us—–as He defines “great”—-but that will be harder or more noble or less satisfying than we want it to be. Somehow we got the message that God’s plan is best, but not fulfilling—–or fun.
We’re wrong. We didn’t get that message from God or His Word. In fact, it sounds suspiciously like a lie once told by a serpent in a garden. “there are better things than God has offered you,” the lie says. But according to God and the prophets He inspires, we have a destiny that will thrill us from our heads to our toes!!!!!!!!!!!!
When we understand that, we become willing participants in the process. We understand what the refinery produces, so we submit ourselves to the Refiner Himself. We take humanity’s biggest hang-up——-the desires of the fallen heart——and let them be purified into something that matches the heart of the Father. And we embrace the most fulfilling promise ever given: the One whom we seek will come.
This is taken from Chris Tiegreen and his book, The One Year Worship The King Devotional.
How AWESOME is that message!!!!!!!!!! Read it over a couple of times……..pray over it……….let it sink in……..share it with others……….
