Dear KKIM Family,
WOW! PRAISE GOD!!! WE GET TO SERVE OUR LORD TODAY!!!!!
I am so blessed to be with you today!!!!
Today’s readings are sent by Pastor Jim Montoya. What a blessing he is in the lives of many! His light shines all over New Mexico! You can hear him on KKIM Saturdays at 7:45am, Monday and Tuesdays at 2:30pm
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29 AMEN!!
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1 AMEN!
Let us all walk in the Spirit!!!!
Last night was one of those nights when Sharon and I were able to slow down, not enough of those, and enjoy! The weather had cooled off to about 65 degrees……….opened the doors for the cool breeze….Had fried chicken……salad…..and for desert these AWESOME gooey apple cinnamon cookies!!! WOW! We ate and watched Touched By an Angel…….still played on the Hallmark channel……CBS sure made a mistake taking that off years ago! Not many show’s on TV that still have a moral message. Still like to catch Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Rifleman, and Andy Griffith.
I have posted prayer needs below…But I want to talk about Jeanie a bit……Jeanie called me yesterday……..she is 74 years old……..lives in Albuquerque with her husband of nearly 50 years, who Jeanie says is, “Anti Christian”, Jeanie says he will not let her support any of the programs on KKIM but will let her order something from Paul Shepard now and then. Jeanie called me because she was concerned about the Hate Crimes bill in Washington. She does not have the Internet. I talk to many elderly people every week………most do not have the Internet. We cannot forget them! Folks like Jeanie keep me going to work everyday to serve them. KKIM is their one source for information. By the way Jeanie has been sick with pneumonia for most of the year and it has softened the heart of her husband. Her husband left the Church years ago after watching a movie on hell….he has not been back since. Let us pray for Jeanie and her husband.
I also had a 72 year old man from Belen come up to me the other day and say, “Dewey, this new health bill tell’s me that the government does not care about me…when I hit 75 they are going to throw me away.”
I stand with God’s elderly here in on earth!!!! Will you join me???
Many of our leaders in Government have forgotten them!!!!
I cannot believe sometimes that this is the Country I grew up to love…….Is this still the United States of America??……..I sometimes wonder that!
Let us pray for our elderly folks as they have so much wisdom to share with us……but only if we listen. Put yourselves in their shoes today………I don’t like the feel!!!!
I am about to share with you a teaching from Dr. David Jeremiah, My old boss at WFRN in South Bend/Elkhart, Ind. Ed Moore is the one who gave Dr. Jeremiah his start in radio years ago in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ed started him out with a devotional program on a secular station in morning drive! The rest is history! I have been surrounded with people over the years like Ed Moore…….one of the leaders in Christian radio…….Today I am surrounded by many more who help me in my daily walk with Jesus Christ…..I GIVE PRAISE TO GOD FOR THAT!!! www.wfrn.com
Here is a teaching from Dr. Jeremiah taken from his book, Prayer the Great Adventure………
Let us start today by reading through the Lord’s prayer…….
Our father who art in heaven.
Hallowed by Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done.
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen (Matt. 6:9-13)
Notice the emphasis on God in the first three petitions. Thy name, Thy kingdom, Thy will. Then notice the second part of the prayer and its emphasis on the poverty of man: Give us, forgive us, deliver us. Then see how the prayer comes full circle by ending with a tight focus on God once more: Thy kingdom, Thy power, Thy glory. God has all the glory and all the power and all the majesty, and you and I have all the needs and all the wants and all the poverty. He’s got everything; we have nothing. It’s wonderful to come with empty hands to the One who is able to give us everything we need. That’s what this prayer is all about and what it will teach us if we strive to learn it’s secrets.
The Lord’s prayer is a roadmap for us to use when we pray. It’s like driving down a highway dotted to one side with signposts.
As we pass the first intersection, we are reminded that we need to acknowledge and give praise to God: “Our father who art heaven, hallowed be thy name.”
WOW! What a teaching from Dr. Jeremiah. Lord willing I will post more next week on prayer. Dr. Jeremiah is one of the most popular programs on KKIM!!! And it airs at 5:05am weekdays! I hear all the time we love Dr. Jeremiah!!! www.mykkim.com
I think we really need to slow down when we say the Lords prayer………and get the true meaning of it………Let the Holy Spirit move within you……..
After posting……….God must increase……….we must decrease………
Pastor Leonard emailed this……..
Once a young pastor was called to another town to preach. In his absence, his wife and daughter stayed at the home of a friend. On the bedroom way, just over the bed in which they slept, was picture of the Lord Jesus. This image was reflected in the large mirror of the dressing table standing in the room’s bay window.
When the daughter woke on her first morning there, she saw the picture of reflecting in the mirror while she still lay in bed and exclaimed, “Mommy, Mommy, I can see Jesus through the mirror!” She quickly got up to take a closer look, but in so doing brought her body between the picture and the mirror, so that instead of seeing the picture of Jesus reflected, she now saw herself.
So she lay down again, and again she saw the picture of Jesus. She was up and down several times after that, her eyes fixed on the mirror. Then she said, “Mommy, when I can’t see myself, I can see Jesus, but every time I see myself, I don’t see Him.”
How true it is. When self, the big “I”, fills the vision, we miss seeing Jesus.
“Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus” John 12:21
Praying for each one of you and your families.
Leonard

Gary sent in this prayer need for his sister……….Lanette Johnson………
Just finishing talking with my mom on my way home from work, when she informed me that my sister’s cancer has returned. My sister didn’t want this info to get out (she doesn’t want sympathy-calls) and my mom stated that it’s been back for some time now. Her daughter says that “she’s different…” and mom says that she sleeps a lot and is working from home now.
The prayer request that the Lord has asked of me thru you isn’t related to my family in my current household, but of the members from my original household.
The prayer request to post is for COMPLETE REMISSION of Lanette’s cancer and that she receives a QUICK and FULL RECOVERY….that she returns to her full-work capacity and that she becomes a vocal champion for our Lord and the God of her RESTORATION…in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Thanks Pastor!
We will be praying Gary!
As many of you know I worked for Ed Moore for years at WFRN in South Bend/Elkhart, Ind. Ed’s lovely wife Jan is in Las Cruces, NM getting treatment for her liver condition. The Lord has led Jan to this clinic. Let us be in prayer.
Jay from Helena, Montana sent in this reply after the Paul Harvey and Walter Cronkite posting……..
The major networks have failed to keep up the Harvey and Cronkite standard and the American Public has lost the faith in them.
Indeed.
–Jay
Jay has been a radio broadcaster now going on what Jay? 40 years? We both are sadden on the journalistic turn in America.
We have this note from State Rep. Janice E. Arnold Jones on her run for Gov. of New Mexico……….Keep Janice in your prayers and she recovers from knee surgery. We thank Janice for her friendship!
2009
Hi! A quick update…
Knee surgery on my left knee was a little surprising. In addition to a torn meniscus, turns out I had done serious damage to the ACL at some point in my life. It was repaired in surgery, but rehab will take longer. Crutches are very frustrating; makes everything move slower when I have an overwhelming desire to move faster.
If you have not heard, I am running for Governor of the State of New Mexico. Why? Because New Mexico can be so much more! Because it is time for New Mexico to lead the Nation – in energy, transmission, technology, agriculture, connectivity, education and prosperity. To engage that potential, we must inject sunlight into the way New Mexico governs and does business.
Corruption costs in wasted resources, increased cost of doing business, increased taxes, ineffective or reduced government services, and repeated loss of opportunity. Ending the culture of corruption begins with individual action.
Web casting my legislative committees was a start, but it is not enough. Open government is a mind-set! We can do this AND we will make better decisions in the view of and with the input of all New Mexicans.
To get my campaign off the ground, I need for you to do three things today:
1. Send a donation today, small or large to:
Janice For Governor
PO Box 56700
Albuquerque, NM 87187
2. Go to: http://haussamen.blogspot.com/ today and vote for your choice for a Republican candidate for Governor. Time is critical as this poll will be pulled tomorrow. While this is not a scientific poll, perception is exactly that. You can help create a positive perception!
3. Please forward this e-mail to three friends today. If you think that honesty and openness can make a difference, tell your friends about me and remind them that the walk is more important than the talk.
Thanks.
Janice

Let us get an update from Pastor Don………….

We have some Funny Bones to share but let me tell you what Ron Allen said yesterday on New and Views on KKIM……..
Ron was filling in for Chuck and Larry and was talking to IRN/USA White House Correspondent Connie Lawn. Connie was talking about the beer summit! Ron then said, “Well, the last time the President had a few beers, we know what happened, he bought GM!”
Why do men have this thing about having a beer? An Albuquerque radio station did a whole thing yesterday on who would you want to have a beer with? And this in our state with the huge DWI problem we have!!!!
Where are our role models?
Why can’t the President just have a CUP with us right here?
last week Lew sent us a FUNNY BONE…..this week Franchesca……….
STORY OF ELIJAH:
The Sunday school teacher was carefully explaining the story of Elijah the Prophet and the false prophets of Baal. She explained how Elijah built the altar, put wood upon it, cut a steer in pieces, and laid it upon the altar. And then, Elijah commanded the people of God to fill four barrels of water and pour it over the altar. He had them do this four times.
“Now, asked the teacher, “Can anyone in the class tell me why the Lord would have Elijah pour water over the steer on the altar?”
A little girl in the back of the room started waving her hand, “I know! I know!” she said, “To make the gravy!”
GOOD SAMARITAN
A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan, in which a man was beaten, robbed and left for dead. She described the situation in vivid detail so her students would catch the drama. Then, she asked the class, “If you saw a person lying on the roadside all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?” A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence, “I think I’d throw up.”
HIGHER POWER
A Sunday school teacher said to her children, “We have been learning how powerful kings and queens were in Bible times. But , there is a higher power. Can anybody tell me what it is?” One child blurted out, “Aces!”
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
A Sunday school teacher decided to have her young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible; Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the verse. Little Rick was excited about the task — but, he just couldn’t remember the Psalm. After much practice, he could barely get past the first line. On the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation, Ricky was so nervous. When it was his turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, “The Lord is my Shepherd, and that’s all I need to know.”
WHILE DRIVING
While driving in Pennsylvania , a family caught up to an Amish carriage. The owner of the carriage obviously had a sense of humor, because attached to the back of the carriage was a hand printed sign… “Energy efficient vehicle: Runs on oats and grass. Caution: Do not step in exhaust.”
A QUILT
Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter answered, “Don’t be scared, you’ll get
your quilt.” Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that
morning’s Sunday school lesson was about. He said “Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming
Here is Dr. Deb with a previews of this Saturday’s program………
Hi, Dewey,
Thanks for your help today. Here is information about my show for this Saturday.
Night after night individuals, couples, and families with children or elderly parents are asking the question where they will spend the night. Jeremy Reynalds, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer started Joy Junction 23 years ago as a place to shelter and serve the homeless in Albuquerque . Joy Junction has the capacity to serve 300 people a day, providing a “Hand Up” not a handout. It is the largest shelter for families in the state. Jeremy will be my guest this week to tell us about homelessness in Albuquerque and what we can do to help.
In obedience to Him,
Dr. Deb
