“Those who are built up are able to build up others.” -Joseph Prince
I pray that this CUP will make your heart overflow for Jesus Christ, it is very deep and rich………….It has been brewing for days!
The older I get I miss many seasons of my life, living back home with the freedom of a child. having my Dad and Mom around, my brothers and sister. I Miss many friends and family I never see anymore, the people who helped me become a better person, the radio stations I worked at and much more. I treasure people. I treasure every new person I meet, that’s just how I am. It has been 17 months now since I went into full time ministry, a full calendar year has passed, Jan. through December. What a season it has been.So many miracles, so many new doors to walk through. Walking in complete faith that the Lord will provide our daily bread, What a season of learning, I still fret at times about daily bread, but God shows up. We treasure you all who support us. You see when God called me and Sharon to go into full time ministry, He stressed to us, show My light to one person at a time, one person at a time. We do that to the best of our God given ability. The seasons are changing as we speak. It has been a season of health challenges at the Moede house in December and January, with Sharon and Reno, we are coming out of that season. All of a sudden yesterday it was announced that Minnesota Twins General Manager Terry Ryan has cancer. Terry is in a new season, where he thought, like all of us he would be in a new season of baseball in spring training that is getting ready to start, but it turns out to be a new season of health, his life. Sharon and I were talking this morning that time is speeding up, seasons are changing faster. Technology changes cause my blood pressure to rise at times! What we do at the Ministry, a lot is driven by technology and it is beyond me how all this stuff works and when it does not, Ugh! I think of my seasons as a child, and wish my kid’s and all kid’s could grow up in that peace, I guess that’s why I fight hard everyday for children. I miss the smell of fresh hay on the farm back home, I still at times will walk into a home or church or business and the smell will remind me of things of the past, like the other day I swear I smelled my Uncle Joe as I walked into a room, a man had on the cologne he would use. That brought Uncle Joe to the front of my mind and gave me great peace. I think of the time at a basketball game my Dad and I were watching in Slayton, Minnesota and I bought him an ice cream bar, he was so touched, I used the money from my first paper route! My dad wept as he took his first bite of that ice cream bar, the first time I was able to buy him a treat. What God has given me is what I have experienced in past seasons, to use those experiences now and into the coming days. Not to be locked in the past, but to use the past experiences now in this world we live in today. It is at times trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, but God is with me. The key is to not let the past weigh you down but to lift you up as you go through life. That is another thing that drives me, helping people with their past so that it does not hinder their future. I have been called an old fuddy duddy, and I’m thankful fr that.
This is a beautiful poem……..
By Roy Burton
The summer now draws to its close,
We bid farewell to long, hot days,
And look towards the autumn time,
With morning dew and evening haze.
The landscape now a quieter place,
Those happy times where we would spend,
Embracing all of Nature’s gifts,
Fond memories ours at summers end.
The golden hues of shrubs and trees,
Now herald in the autumn scene,
The countryside will soon be still,
Where busy creatures once had been.
And in the towns and city streets,
Warm coated figures now appear,
The crisp, chill air and morning frost,
Forewarns that winter days draw near.
Then in the homes throughout the land,
Safe from the biting winds that blow,
The people meet with smiles and love,
And gather round the fire’s warm glow.
No place here for solemn tales,
With friends and family at our side,
There’s magic as the seasons change,
For it brings the joys of Christmastide.
When my Dad, Wally, died suddenly of a heart attack at age 64 the week he retired, Gretchen and I took off in the car from Indiaina and when I arrived in Windom, Minnesota Mom was at the supper table and we hugged and she had the Bible and we read………..
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, ‘A Time for Everything,’ is a cherished Bible passage often quoted atfunerals and memorial services. Tradition tells us that the book of Ecclesiastes was written byKing Solomon toward the end of his reign.
Contained in one of the Poetry and Wisdom books of the Bible, this particular passage lists 14 “opposites,” a common element in Hebrew poetry indicating completion. While each time and season may seem random, the underlying significance in the poem denotes a divinely chosen purpose for everything we experience in our lives. The familiar lines offer a comforting reminder of God’s sovereignty.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

I want to share this with you on seasons from Pastor Steven Furtick that appeared in the Christian Post:
“God schedules every season in your life but He doesn’t post the schedule for you to see and that’s what makes living so difficult,” said Furtick. His message closed out a four-part series, “Times and Seasons,” in which he emphasized the need to endure the current phase instead of trying to accelerate it and the importance of knowing that a season is experienced according to the way a person speaks and thinks about it.
A major part of his sermon focused on not envying another person’s season that might appear to be better off, which Furtick says he has personally experienced, but rather acknowledging that everyone is fighting a struggle to get to the next phase of their life.
“Here’s my problem, I always want to skip to the next [season],” said Furtick. “It always seems that the season I’m in is not the most comfortable and I’ve struggled with this all my life.”
To illustrate his point, Furtick recounted the times he would visit other megachurches and compare them to his small-scale ministry when his church consisted of only seven families. He thought those pastors “didn’t have problems” being at the level that they were at. At the time, Furtick said he didn’t realize the struggle and seasons they had to endure to reach their point of success until his own church began to grow.
“The problem is when we look at other people’s lives, we only see how high the tree goes, and we don’t see how deep the roots are planted. You only see the fruit, not the fight they went through to have it,” said Furtick. “You probably won’t admit this, but there is a part of you that looks at other people, the season that they’re in, the success that they enjoy, the place in life where they’ve arrived and you’re thinking, ‘if only I can get there.’
This post by Karen Rowe really touched my heart: Ripping Heart:
A gift of understanding and hope to you …
From a happy youthful heart to eyes filled with water from a heart cut wide open is a very real part of this life.
What has happened in your life that still lives beyond your control in this life?
I can’t take that pain away and I can’t tell you that it will heal, but I can tell you that God loves you!
In the brokenness of our life we can find a place no blessing can meet.
LOVE!
What is this love that both fills us with joy and yet breaks our heart?
As far as I have come to understand, love is the evidence of things unseen!
Love just IS and love never goes away –even in the pain of the loss, because God is love and God is ever near –YET, far away in sight! Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see!
The anatomy of human heart can go from dead to alive with the gush of blood that reconciles life to a body … Yet, a broken heart never really heals from the loss of a loved one; or from saying goodbye…
Sure, days will come and go and time makes a heart stronger … but that pain is not ever fully healed, because of the loss that never can be replaced, but still comforted by grace.
My friend, you have a purpose in this life and that purpose is to learn love, be transformed in love for love by love and to show love once you find love. God is love!
This life is a vapor as we know it –in God’s great compassion and mercy in this sinned filled world –and yet also evidence of a patience /love that God shows for us.
Life on this side of life is a process we must go through, but this is love that God has shown for us –Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life!
Love is real and the pain of the loss of love is real. The process is reconciliation!
Only God can fill that void that you feel.
I just wanted to tell you that I understand pain; and I wanted to encourage you to know life with our All-Knowing God in Christ never ends; and love conquered never goes away –Count this a full blessing and come to know Jesus more and more with each passing day!
Refocus your pain to praise; a few things worth carrying on for the sake of love –and look at what Jesus has done and the love HE has brought to us –the HOPE that is real in a place there is no more pain, no more tears, no more fears when we see Jesus face to face.
Until that day, focus on Jesus! Know God’s love that is for you!
Learn to let go and let God …
and feel lighter my friend, because God loves you; and HE does not want you to carry the burden of love alone!
God feels your pain and emptiness that comes from a lack of control –but you see, this is where we first learn to trust God!
I pray this is a blessing to you!
God bless you my friend in Christ! And, if you have never met Jesus as your Savior to begin your journey of knowing this friendship in Christ –Then, I invite you to meet Jesus Today!
Just pray,
God, I believe YOU and Your Word.
I want to know YOU; and I want to meet your Son Jesus.
I believe Jesus died for my sins and I believe Jesus is Your Son; I believe Jesus conquered death in full and I believe Jesus rose again; and lives still Today; and forevermore.
I want this life with YOU as my Father; and I invite you, Jesus to come and live in my heart.
I cherish this gift of righteousness YOU have provided for –and given to me.
I want to make YOU, Jesus the Lord over my life!
Thank YOU for saving me by God’s powerful grace –not by my works –
Nothing I did can stop; and nothing I do can accomplish, but I can believe!
…and I believe the message of Jesus Christ –Thank you for this Grace!
I can walk by faith not needing sight…
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God who brings life and light to the world needing forgiveness and Grace!
This is me God saying I need You, please come and live in my life!
I give my life to YOU my God!
Thank you Jesus for all you did for me!
Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, know that I prayed this prayer with you!
I invite you to tell me as one of the people you confess your Salvation to.
I also believe; and would love to hear you say these powerful words to me: “Jesus IS LORD!
Jesus Christ is my Salvation and I choose to make HIM the LORD of my life –Both, Today and forevermore!
May the God of Peace bring comfort to you. May the Peace of the Lord be with you!
Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe
