Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Let us come together in Unity here at the CUP!
Please drink this whole CUP! it’s rich to the last drop!
God wants you to read each word very carefully.
Please pray for my cousin Darry Hanson. Darry and I grew up together in Windom, Minnesota, we are the same age. Darry has brain cancer. We pray complete healing over Darry in Jesus name, Amen! Darry informed me last night that the survival rate for the type of cancer he has is 4 to 12 months. But we know who the Great Physician is! Amen!
August 20, 2013. You probably know of some people who stand strong during times like these. They are My steady ones. This is a time of unrest and lack of peace in many places around the world. Some will give testimonies of these times, telling of the steady ones who do great exploits, helping many who are affected by the unrest. I will never abandon the widow or orphan. Your security in Me should encourage and fire your engines each day so that you are one of the steady ones in times of crisis.
Acts 17:11-12 (NASB) “Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.” Ras Robinson
How are you this day?
It breaks my heart when the Body of Christ starts to bicker amongst itself. We must stick together. God has roles for us all in this life. In our roles we must be united in our Lord. Let me add here we must be in tuned with the Lord to know what our role is and what to do with it. That comes from a personal relationship with Him, We must always be hearing from God on what we are to do.
Let us turn to God’s Word and read what He says about Unity………..
Psalm 133:1
1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!
John 17:23
23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Romans 6:5
5 If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.
1 Corinthians 1:10
10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
1 Corinthians 12:12-26 (#5 of 10 BIble Verses about Unity)
12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
Ephesians 4:1-3
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:2-6
2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called- 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Ephesians 4:11-13
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Philippians 2:1-3 (#10 if 10 Bible Verses About Unity)
1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Colossians 3:14
14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
My Dear Brother Pastor Steve Stucker put’s it this way……..
Morning Inspiration: Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement. Philippians 4:2
Simply & directly, Paul instructs two women within the church, to ‘get over it’. Though he asks politely, it is really a command…& he’s not shy about telling us why. Because we all “belong” to the Lord, we’re not free to waste our time & energy, (which are really God’s to start with) arguing among ourselves. We face enough attacks from the outside world, without watering down our effectiveness by bickering inside our family of faith! In the next sentence, the rest of us, are encouraged to help those involved in disputes, to pull together as teammates, for the good of the cause. Even when we feel we are right, being at odds with other believers, is not pleasing in God’s sight.

I had a good laugh with Steve this morning as I was sharing a bit about my bucket list item of being on a Western, Longmire, and he said, “Move star check!!! We had a good laugh over that! My 15 seconds of fame! I have to tell you that God gave me the desires of my heart to be on that program(for years and years I have been wanting to be on a western) for me Longmire is a modern day western like Gunsmoke. As I said yesterday Walt Longmire has a soft heart like Matt Dillon did for people, but when it comes down to it they both are tough as nails when they need to be. God also called me to do the part of the preacher doing the funeral in last nights episode, but He also called me to be His light to all that day of the filming. All the people were so nice to me and many were excited I was a real Preacher! LOL LOL They asked me some really good questions about being a Pastor. It was such a Godly experience that I will carry with me the rest of my life. I got a nice note a couple of weeks ago from Robert Taylor who plays Walt Longmire which is filmed here in New Mexico. Mr. Taylor is such a nice man. Longmire reaches on the average 4 million viewers each week, the highest rated show filmed in New Mexico.
For me this all came out of left field, I got a call from Pastor Steve Freeman saying I should read for this part, I thought right? me? I did not call right away, but then God said call, they emailed me the script, I went, read it the way God told me to, and then 2 days later I was hired for the part!
It’s all about God. It’s all about a personal relationship with God, hearing our call from Him and doing and saying what He wants us to do in all area’s of our life.
Just remember that God will give you the desires of your heart, if they are His Will for you and if you are consistently obedient to Him.
Key: Are you consistently obedient to God in all aspects of your life?
Key: Are you hearing from God?
