Dear family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Leaders have fun! I am pictured here with Justin Johnson and he is trying out his wedding garb on the softball field as he prepares to marry Paula. I am sure Paula does not like Justin’s taste for the proper wedding wear! LOL LOL LOL! Coaching the Amistad team as been so wonderful, it is a Ministry field. Many are growing in the relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Leaders are able to have fun but at the same time be a leader. Sincere fun, sincere relationships. Relationships built on Biblical principles.
My thanks to our pitcher Herb Michael who has fun with Photoshop!
By the way we won again last night over SOS 15-8! We had such a wonderful time of prayer after the game with the Amistad Women’s prayer group from Mexico. Martha is the leader of the group and she told me they pray for me and Sharon everyday! Everyday these women gather for prayer in Mexico and pray for hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE GOD!
A disease in America that does not get enough attention is, poor leadership. Poor leadership is in our homes, churches, government, etc….it is the cause of many ill’s. People talk about playing a good game, but..??? I see the results of poor leadership everyday. We have folks that call themselves Christians, but once they get in office most shut up about Jesus. By the way, let me know if you hear of any Political folk that call themselves Christians speaking up for the petition drive here in Albuquerque to end late term abortion, I have not heard any yet, but if you have please let me know so I can ring the bell! I posted at FGGAM on leadership this morning, about EGO, which stands for Edging God Out! read it here: http://www.fggam.org/the-word-of-the-day-ego-stands-for-edging-god-out/
As a whole we are not modeling what Godly leadership is.
As I said we talk a good game, but what counts is how we play the game of life for Jesus!
You have to look no further than our Government to see such poor leadership, When Americans rank the cockroach and root canals above Congress, you know we have a problem.
The Holy Spirit led Jesus out into the wilderness right after His baptism by John, reminding us that at least part of His preparation for ministry came from a wilderness experience.
Does this sound familiar? Quality leaders can almost always point to a wilderness experience as part of their leadership preparation. During this time, our motives get purified, our backbone solidifies (whatever happened to men having backbone for Jesus?) Standing in the gap for Godly principles?
What also happens during this time is our calling get’s clarified. But I am here to tell you if you do not have the ear to hear God you will be lost. You will then go off thinking you have heard the call and mess up.
That is why I have said for years, we all need a personal relationship with our Lord and mentor’s around us to help guide us.
If you are truly called by God you will NOT FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!! NO CHANCE OF FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not say no chance of hardship, look what they did to Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!
But like Jesus, you and I will not fail in our call that God gives us!
satan tempted Jesus for 40 days in the wilderness
