Good Morning KKIM Family!
It is so good to be here with you! What a blessing! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD!
“The pride of your heart has deceived you.” Obadiah 3
God hates pride, not only because it imagines itself a rival to God, but also because it blinds and deceives. Because it cannot see or accept the truth, it walks off cliffs and runs into brick walls.
AMEN! AMEN!
Pride is like the flu……..many get it.
Thought For the Day:
Sometimes silence is best.
We have much to talk about this morning including a report from Jose, the New Mexican watchman from the Roundhouse. The mailbag is full and we have lot’s to share. We have a couple of HOT news stories for you as you finish you cup,but first let me do as I promised another round of solid info from Family Life Today’s Weekend To Remember marriage Conference that Sharon and I attended.
Remember, at these marriage conferences, there are people who have been married 6 weeks to over 50 years…….Everyone no matter how many years, get’s something solid out of these conferences.
Couples who pursue companionship with one another experience the blessing of oneness.
Multiply a Godly legacy.
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” Genesis 1:28
Marriage provides the divine context for having children.
Oneness in marriage is necessary to multiple a godly legacy.
Neither women nor men are made emotionally, spiritually, or physically to raise children by themselves. Child rearing requires a team effort.
To appreciate their sexual identity, children must see a harmonious marriage modeled by their parents.
The roles of husband and wife are best understood by children as their parents model a harmonious marriage in the home.
The best hope for children to understand unconditional love comes as parents demonstrate that kind of love in the home.
Couples who value children as a gift from God, can experience the blessing of a Godly legacy.
We will have more on marriage in the coming days and weeks..in the meantime I would invite you to visit www.familylife.com for more.
Let us now check that overflowing mailbag………Sharon and I love hearing from you! if you have not dropped us a line……please do so, we would love to hear from YOU!

Khristi and her girls (this is heartbreaking). A few days ago you used
the quote: “Stop telling God how big your storm is. Instead, tell the
storm how big your God is!” I wanted to know who to give credit for
the quote. What a way to approach so many things. Cancer, dementia,
heartbreak, illness, death —- MY GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOU! Cheri
Here is Jose……………..
Today, Monday, March 16, in its late-afternoon meeting, the House Judiciary Committee will consider SB 77 Stem Cell Biomedical Research. Embryonic stem cell research destroys fetuses that are 1-14 days old, and later research may create new fetuses to be killed for body parts.
The bill has passed the Senate and, if it passes this committee, will go to the House for a final vote and could become law before the session ends. The proposed law is actually a change to an earlier law titled “Maternal, Fetal and Infant Experimentation Act.” (That should give you chills.)
The House Judiciary Committee will meet in Room 309 on Monday, March 16, 1/2 hour after the House Floor Session ends. Because we are in our final week, the floor session may end as late as 7:00 p.m. (You may want to check the Legislative website at http://www.nmlegis.gov for information.)
It is thought that all 5 Republicans on the Committee will vote NO, and that at least 5 of the 9 Democrats are solidly FOR the bill and will vote YES. Four Democrats are possibly still making up their minds. They are as follows:

Elias Barela elias@barelalaw.com (505) 986-4235 Rm.204A

W. Ken Martinez mlo1@7cities.net (505) 986-4776 Rm.134C
Please call and/or email these 4 Representatives, thank them for their hard work in this legislative session, and ask them to vote NO on SB 77, the Stem Cell Biomedical Research Act..
It is expected that SB77 will be one of the first bills to be heard so that the doctor from UNM who is the Expert Witness can return to Albuquerque. That means that many people may be able to come after work to be there when the bill is discussed and voted on!
As Evelyn Manderville M.D., points out, everyone on earth was once an embryo, even our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There are other successful technologies to make stem cells without taking away the earliest, most vulnerable stage of a human life.
Above all else, PRAY for the Lord’s will to be done.

Obama has circle of advisers on faith
LAURIE GOODSTEIN, Star Tribune
President Obama has been without a pastor or a home church ever since he cut his ties to the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. in the heat of the presidential campaign. But Obama has quietly cultivated a handful of evangelical pastors for private prayer sessions on the telephone and for discussions on the role of religion in politics.
All are men, two of them white and three black — including the Rev. Otis Moss Jr., a graying lion of the civil rights movement. Two, the entrepreneurial dynamos Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Rev. Kirbyjon H. Caldwell, also served as occasional spiritual advisers to President George W. Bush. Another, the Rev. Jim Wallis, leans left on some issues, such as military intervention and poverty programs, but opposes abortion.
None of these pastors is affiliated with the religious right, though several are quite conservative theologically. One of them, the Rev. Joel C. Hunter, the pastor of a conservative megachurch in Florida, was branded a turncoat by some leaders of the Christian right when he began to speak out on the need to stop global warming.
But as a group they can hardly be characterized as part of the religious left, either. Most, such as Wallis, do not take traditionally liberal positions on abortion or homosexuality. What most say they share with Obama is the conviction that faith is the foundation in the fight against economic inequality and social injustice.
“These are all centrist, social justice guys,” said the Rev. Eugene F. Rivers, a politically active pastor of Azusa Community Church in Boston, who knows all of them but is not part of the Obama’s prayer caucus. “Obama genuinely comes out of the social justice wing of the church. That’s real.”
The pastors’ names were gleaned from interviews with people who know the president and religious leaders who work in Washington. Their role could change if Obama joins a church in Washington, but that could take some time because of the logistical challenges in finding a church that can accommodate the kind of crowd the Obamas would attract.
The pastors say Obama appears to rely on his faith for intellectual and spiritual succor.
“While he may not put ‘Honk if You Love Jesus’ bumper stickers on the back of his car, he is the kind of guy who practices what he preaches,” said Caldwell, the senior pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston. “He has a desire to keep in touch with folk outside the Beltway, and to stay in touch with God.”
But pinning down Obama’s theological leanings is not easy, the ministers said in interviews. They said he is well read in the Bible but has not articulated views consistent with the Afrocentric interpretation of his former pastor, Wright.
Moss said of the president, “I would simply say that he is a person of great faith, and I think that faith has sustained him.”
SCIENTOLOGY SPOKESMAN TOMMY DAVIS CONFIRMS XENU STORY
Los Angeles, CA – After years of dismissing the story as false, Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis has confirmed that the story of mankind’s origins involving an alien overlord named Xenu is indeed authentic Scientology teaching.
In the exclusive interview with KESQ News Channel 3 reporter[1], Nathan Baca, Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis was asked about the story of Xenu, known to senior Scientologists as part of “Operating Thetan Level III”, or “OT III” for short. Davis denied the story at first (as he has done in the past), stating that these were claims “forwarded by anti-Scientologists.”
When Baca began reading from a book written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard that mentions the Xenu story, Davis became defensive, admitting that the story is indeed authentic, but confidential. He then accused Nathan Baca of religious hate, saying that a non-Scientologist asking about Scientology’s core beliefs is an “offensive concept”, and that Baca was “just forwarding an agenda of hate.”
Tommy Davis previously denied the Xenu story, asking CNN reporter John Roberts if it “sounded ridiculous” and saying the story was “unrecognisable” to him[3]. The Xenu story has also been denied by actor Tom Cruise and other famous Scientologists [6]. In that same interview with John Roberts, Davis claimed that anti-Scientology protesters known as “Anonymous” had sent death threats and bomb threats to Scientology “orgs” around the world. When Roberts revealed that the FBI had told CNN that they had no reason to believe Anonymous was responsible for the alleged threats, Mr. Davis stuttered, and claimed that the alleged threats were being investigated by local law enforcement.
The organization is well-known for aggressive public relations and media handling tactics, such as claiming threats of violence against itself. New York journalist, Paulette Cooper, the author of the famous critical book “The Scandal of Scientology”, was framed for making bomb threats by Scientology in the 1970’s. “Operation Freakout” was revealed by the FBI after raids on Scientology headquarters in Washington and Los Angeles in which were seized detailed plans for the false bomb threats. In 2007, the Church of Scientology in the UK alleged that the BBC sent “terrorist death threats” to the organization[5].
A leaked recording exists of Hubbard giving a lecture[2] on OT III, as well as a hand-written document summarizing the Xenu story written in Hubbard’s own handwriting[4]. Hubbard instructed his followers not to mention OT III to any non-Scientologist and Scientologists who themselves have not reached the level, ostensibly because Hubbard wrote that people are liable to fall victim to pneumonia and die if exposed to the Xenu story before they have completed the preparatory steps in Scientology. Scientologists pay up to $350,000 to reach OT III. Those that reach OT III are required to have a safe in their home and to transport the OT III materials in a locked briefcase [7].

When betrayal comes, what do you do? Get out? Get angry? Get even? You have to deal with it some way. Let’s see how Jesus dealt with it.
Begin by noticing how Jesus saw Judas. “Jesus answered, ‘Friend, do what you came to do.’ ” (Matthew 26:50)
Of all the names I would have chosen for Judas it would not have been “friend.” What Judas did to Jesus was grossly unfair. There is no indication that Jesus ever mistreated Judas. There is no clue that Judas was ever left out or neglected. When, during the Last Supper, Jesus told the disciples that his betrayer sat at the table, they didn’t turn to one another and whisper, “It’s Judas. Jesus told us he would do this.”
They didn’t whisper it because Jesus never said it. He had known it. He had known what Judas would do, but he treated the betrayer as if he were faithful.
It’s even more unfair when you consider the betrayal was Judas’s idea. The religious leaders didn’t seek him, Judas sought them. “What will you pay me for giving Jesus to you?” he asked. (Matthew 26:15) The betrayal would have been more palatable had Judas been propositioned by the leaders, but he wasn’t. He propositioned them.
And Judas’s method … again, why did it have to be a kiss? (Matthew 26: 48–49)
And why did he have to call him “Teacher”? (Matthew 26:49) That’s a title of respect. The incongruity of his words, deeds, and actions—I wouldn’t have called Judas “friend.”
But that is exactly what Jesus called him. Why? Jesus could see something we can’t…
Jesus knew Judas had been seduced by a powerful foe. He was aware of the wiles of Satan’s whispers (he had just heard them himself). He knew how hard it was for Judas to do what was right.
He didn’t justify what Judas did. He didn’t minimize the deed. Nor did he release Judas from his choice. But he did look eye to eye with his betrayer and try to understand.
As long as you hate your enemy, a jail door is closed and a prisoner is taken. But when you try to understand and release your foe from your hatred, then the prisoner is released and that prisoner is you.
Thanks for stopping by today for a CUP!
Let us pray………..
Father God,
Teach us to risk wisely, to sail farther from the shore, but keep a sharp eye on the compass. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
