Dear KKIM family,
I want to give Gloria Johnson a very warm welcome to the CUP and KKIM! She wrote me such a lovely letter, I will share it with you Lord willing Monday. In the meantime Gloria, sit back and enjoy this warm, honey filled cup of coffee with us on this rainy, snowy day in New Mexico………
We all need to grow closer to God…………..
God wants us to grow up like Christ in everything. Eph. 4:15
Please pray with us….and say the prayer and the end of this posting, please. Thank you and God Bless.
God wants us to grow up.
Our heavenly Father’s goal is for us to mature and develop the characteristics of Jesus Christ. THE WALK IS FUN AND EXCITING!!! I KNOW, MY WALK GET’s CLOSER AND CLOSER TO GOD EVERYDAY…….IT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING EVER!!!!
Sadly, millions of Christians grow older but never grow up in Christ.
They are stuck in perpetual spiritual infancy, remaining in diapers and booties. The reason is that they never intended to grow.
Spiritual growth is not automatic. It takes intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, and persist in growing. THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT!!!!
Discipleship——the process of becoming like Christ—–always begins with a decision. Jesus calls us, and we respond: “Come, be my disciple”, Jesus said to him.
So Matthew got up and followed him.”
Will you follow Jesus?
Even if you are following Jesus, how close is your walk with HIM?
Cowboy Clarence is asking for our prayers as he is to start working out for the Special Olympics on Saturday and he is not feeling well. This means so much to him…….please keep him in your prayers.
Please keep Sharon and I in your prayers.
Please keep Pastor Mark Scales and the other 9 members of Heights Christian Church in your prayers as they leave today for their mission trip to El Salvador.
Miki Vasquez sent this AWESOME story into us!!!………
After living what I felt was a ‘decent’ life, my time on earth came to
the end.
The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of
what I thought to be a court house.
The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the
defense table. As I looked around I saw the ‘prosecutor.’
He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He
definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.
I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, kind and
gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I
knew Him.
The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing
robes. He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I
couldn’t take my eyes off of Him.
As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, ‘Let us begin.’
The prosecutor rose and said, ‘My name is Satan and I am here to show
you why this man belongs in hell.’
He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the
past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible Perversions
that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my
seat I sank.
I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t look at anyone, even my own
Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten
about.
As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was
equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any
form of defense at all.
I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my
life – couldn’t that at least equal out part of the harm I’d done?
Satan finished with a fury and said, ‘This man belongs in hell, he is
guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can
prove otherwise.’
When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the
bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and
beckoned Him to come forward.
As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full
splendor and majesty.
I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my
Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, ‘Hi, Dad,’ and
then He turned to address the court.
‘Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won’t deny any
of these allegations. And, yes, the wages of sin is death, and this man
deserves to be punished.’
Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with out stretched arms
and proclaimed, ‘However, I died on the cross so that this person might
have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.’
My Lord continued with, ‘His name is written in the Book of Life, and
no one can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet.
This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.’
As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said,
‘There is nothing else that needs to be done.’
‘I’ve done it all.’
The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The
following words bellowed from His lips…
‘This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full.
‘Case dismissed.’
As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, ‘I won’t
give up, I will win the next one.’
I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, ‘Have you
ever lost a case?’
Christ lovingly smiled and said, ‘Everyone that has come to Me and asked
Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, ~Paid In
Full~’
‘Stop telling God how big your storm is.
Instead, tell the storm how big your God is!’

NEW MEXICO NEWS & VIEWS FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2009
SPORTS IS NEWS TOO:
Congrats to Jonathan Gibson, Jahmar young, Hernst and the rest of the Aggies for leading NM State past Boise State 80-70 in the quarterfinals of the Western Athletic Conference basketball tournament!
NEWS MAKER OF THE DAY:
You know what happens when you rub two sticks together? NM is headed into an extreme fire season and already 38,610 acres burned in 200 fires – mostly human caused since January 1, so let’s be careful out there. NM News & Views wants to start a Holy Spirit fire all around the state and across the world, but in the best Way. Pastor Mark Scales, from Heights Christian Church joined us to talk about their Missions Trip to El Salvador. Keep their team in your daily prayers. Speaking of fire, Lisa Torraco, Attorney At Law, joined us today and if you missed it, you REALLY Missed It, because she was doing what we do best on NM News & Views, telling The Truth about the Yi Murder Case and ALL involved. Tune in tomorrow, Friday the Thirteenth, for round two, as District Attorney Kari Brandenburg joins us between 4:30 & 5:11pm.
SANTA FE BECOMES RED LIGHT DISTRICT:
Just kidding folks, well kind of. Be on the lookout for red lights and make sure you stop at them or you’ll find yourself in pictures, because as soon as three months, the red light cameras will be in place. I hope the Mayor of Santa Fe doesn’t drive like Mayor Chavez of Albuquerque. Speaking of Abq. & SF, be sure to tell everyone you know about AM1000, 94.7FM and
http://mykkim.com, so they can listen to the station 24/7!
SPEAKING OF RED LIGHTS:
We need to put a STOP to the mugging of 90 year old women and another woman on West Alameda Street, who was pulled out of her wheelchair. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, so let’s tell it like it is. Church, we need to take back our cities and take care of Widows & Orphans. Keep listening to KKIM for the Wood For Widows spots and get ALL of the men in your fellowships involved with Mark Johnson and his team.
JIMMY HOFFA FOUND:
BIG NEWS, well not SO BIG, since we’re talking about Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa, who says, “Congress has once and for all killed the Bush administration’s expensive and illegal pilot project to open the boarder to Mexican trucks.” Remember Ross Perot and all of his charts. The way I see it, Bill Clinton was the one who started NAFTA.
POSSIBLE FUTURE NM GOVERNOR WORKS WITH CONVICTED KILLER:
No joke folks, Val Kilmer worked on a movie for Sony Pictures, where Clifton Bloomfield played the part of a convict serving time in a violent prison. The Director of “Felon” thought Bloomfield was an actor, not a mass-murderer. Do your homework before you vote!
LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW:
ALL this weekend we’re looking for rain, snow and cold. I guess the groundhog was right this year. Dewey wants me to remind you all of our New History Feature Fridays and Pastor Leonard Navarre, host of Your Bible Boost, is bringing a very special guest to our studio tomorrow, so you don’t want to miss hearing THE TRUTH. Keep praying for KKIM and TGIF! Blessings In Jesus,
Reverend Mark F. Tross
Let us Pray,
Oh Lord,
Pace our lives that we may stay in step with YOU.
We are tired of running ahead only to later lag behind, exhausted and heart broken.
In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
