Dear KKIM Family,
God wants us to grow up like Christ in everything. Eph 5:15
“My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus” Acts 20:24
Please pray over that scripture, they are the life changing words of God.
I thank God for friends like Jeff of Ch. 32-36 TV, Angelo of Computer Network Designs, and Jannetta of the Albuquerque Rescue Mission and Web master of the CUP!!! We had lunch yesterday at Itsa Italian Ice, love the hamburger’s and homemade fries there! WOW! Jeff, Angelo, and Jannetta are wonderful friends of KKIM and the CUP! We thank GOD for them! Their support helps us out so much!!!
By the way Itsa Italian Ice is a Ministry sponsor of KKIM and they are at Menual and 2nd Street! Love the food!!!
We go back to the Weekend To Remember marriage Conference, Sharon and I attended. I carry my booklet from the conference like the Bible and my devotional books.
Marriage is more significant than you may have though!
Marriage was designed by God and is defined by God.
Marriage is at the center of God’s purpose for mankind.
Purpose #1: Mirror God’s image
So God created man in HIS own image, in the image of God HE created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
God joined an man and women together so that together they would mirror HIS image.
HE called this union marriage.
How my stomach turns when I think what our country is doing to the sanctity of marriage!
Their oneness reflects the character and unity of God (Matt. 19: 4-6; John 17:22-23).
Their oneness is a living picture of this intimate relationship between Jesus Christ and HIS followers. (Eph 5:22-33)
Their oness is expressed within a lifetime commitment to one another.
Couples who mirror God’s image experience oneness in their marriage.
Purpose #2: Mutually complete one another (to experience companionship)
Companionship in marriage is God’s provision to replace isolation and meet our deep longing for a close, intimate relationship.
God designed marriage as the first social institution.
God designed marriage to be the first system of interdependent relationships.
God designed the marriage relationship as the priority relationship of the family.
Oneness in marriage is only possible when we consider our spouse BEFORE we consider ourselves. READ THAT AGAIN GUYS!!!!
ladies you have permission to show that to your hubby!!!! HA! Ha!
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interest of others. Philippians 2:3-4
We will do more marriage work next week, Lord willing………..
God wants us to grow up………like Christ in everything. Eph 4:15 I keep putting up this Bible verse…it stay’s on my heart.
Becoming like Christ is a long, slow process of growth. (AMEN TO THAT!!!! I SURE AM LEARNING MUCH EVERYDAY!!!)
Spiritual maturity is neither instant nor automatic; it is a gradual, progressive development that will take the rest of your life. Paul said, “This will continue until we are……mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like HIM.”
What God cares about most is that whatever you do, you do in a Christlike manner.
God is far more interested in what you are than in what you do.

Let us pray for this Mission trip…………….
Hi Dewey,
The Heights Christian Church El Salvador Mission Team is leaving on Friday, March 13th and is taking backpacks and other items to the town of Apopa and surrounding areas of El Salvador. Last year I gave a couple of backpacks Ambros was throwing out to a teacher at Heights she gave one of the backpacks to a family in El Salvador and told me yesterday that the woman has told her they still have the backpack and the kids have not and will not sharpen their pencils because they came from the United States. That was so touching that I thought of asking you if AGM has any of those backpacks with supplies that they can maybe donate to Heights Mission Team. I know that is the only item they are short on and it would be nicer saying “Radio Lobo” KKIM, ETC…..
Thanks for all you do. Take Care and God Bless!!!
Michelle Archuleta
Thanks for the update Michelle, please keep us posted. Please keep this effort in your prayers. Pastor Mark Scales will be on New Mexico News and Views talking about this trip today.
Here is an AWESOME note from Cherie, whose daughter Amy was interviewed by KKIM’s Sandy Harrington, on her radio show Thursday’s at 3:30……..
Dewey. Your faithfulness is such a blessing to me each time I read the
cup. I just wanted to let you know I am praying for you and Sharon
today. I will continue to pray for answered prayers and blessings for
all of the CUP family.
Wonderful interview. There was so much more to say. So many have not
heard of this type of breast cancer. Dewey, last year at this time I
was not sure if I would have my daughter here this year at this time.
Now, I am hopeful and feel that she will be here next Easter time. As
we have said over and over (Besides, thank you Lord) is that prayer is
a major part of her treatment. It was one year to the day of the
interview on KKIM that God told Amy …. I’ve brought you through so
many things, what makes you think I won’t bring you through this….
The interview was a wonderful event on that anniversary!
Coincidence??????? She will try to go back to work next week after a
year of not being able to teach. She’s not sure about how returning
will work out. Her body is tired from 11 months of treatment, but
PRAISE GOD, we are at this point . She will be having weekly
treatments for months to come, which cause bone pain, but the big guns
chemo is finished! Thank you Dewey, for making the interview
possible. I am so blessed to have had the call from you last year and
so blessed that you asked to put her on the prayer list. Love, Cherie
Dear Dewey, I still enjoy DDC…I always look forward to reading it. Many times, I receive a scripture that encourages me & guides me during a day or even a season that I am walking in.
Sometimes I keep the cup handy to reread throughout the day. I am always blessed to hear words from God…
Our God IS an AWESOME GOD! Amen…May HIS peace rule…Love in Christ, Karen Rowe
Thanks Karen, I get the feedback all the time that people read the cup over and over and save them and also pass them along to many! PRAISE GOD!!! IT IS RIGHT TO GIVE PRAISE AND GLORY TO GOD!!! Love hearing you on KKIM Saturday’s at 7:45am!!!!
Nick sent this in…………Thanks Bro!
How To Pray
Bonnie St. John
After spending hundreds of hours interviewing women about prayer, this simple sentiment from Kelly Hoke, a stay at home mom, stands out in my memory:
“I used to pray with an expectation, telling God ‘this is what I need’ or asking for help with specific things. I realize that I was always telling God what to do, giving God a ‘to do’ list. Now I deal with uncertainty more easily. It works much better when I open my heart and let God teach me how to live.”
Like Kelly, I struggled with actually letting go and letting God. What helped me grow the most was simply trial and error. All the begging, pleading, and bargaining to get what I wanted never did much good. It left me feeling tense, stressed and unfulfilled–even angry at God. Alternatively, when I prayed for God to change me instead of changing my circumstances, the results were swift.
Now my prayers might sound more like:
“Give me clarity and wisdom to handle this problem your way.”
Usually within a day or two after a prayer like that, I will find myself saying, “Wow, I have so much more clarity about this problem!” and then I remember…oh yeah, that’s what I prayed for! (slap forehead)
Or I might pray:
“Give me the strength to be loving. My heart is too small and filled with petty jealousy and dislike. Expand my heart, Lord, that I may see this person in my life not as a thorn in my side, but as you see him, as a child of God.”
When I am stuck in a bad attitude, afraid, or confused, I am truly amazed at how fast God can change me once I make myself truly willing to be changed. If you have the courage to pray that way, you will see the answers to your prayers faster and more powerfully than when you pray for God to solve your problems and change the rest of the world to suit you.
After all, Jesus taught us to pray by saying, “Thy will be done.” (Matthew 6:10) Nowhere in the Lord’s Prayer does it say that we should ask for more than our daily bread and the strength to avoid temptation.
In 1 Kings 3:5, when God said to Solomon, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you,” he requested only a discerning heart and the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. Verse ten tells us, “The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.” So much so, that God gave him riches and honor as well as wisdom.
Do you have the courage to pray for God to make you a better person today?
Think about the problems and challenges you are facing. Close your eyes now and ask God to give you the wisdom and strength to be a solution to your problems and to the problems of His many sheep. Ask to be God’s solution in a turbulent, frightened world. If you have the courage to pray this, I can’t wait to hear what happens!
IF YOU MISSED NEW MEXICO NEWS AND VIEWS……..This is from Pastor Mark Tross………..
NEWS MAKER OF THE DAY:
S. E. Coleman joined us on Dewey’s Daily Cup today and she was so full of God’s Presence that our cup overflowed into NM News & Views! It’s always so exciting to hear what our God is doing all around the world and how He orchestrates things to work out for His Perfect Plan & Purposes. From Vietnam to Latin America, S. E. “The Super Encourager,” stands on The Word and proves that God is always Faithful & True.
“Behold, I send an angel before you to keep you in The Way and to bring you to the place which I have prepared.”
– Exodus 23:20
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
– Philippians 4:13
God is no respecter of persons, neither male, female, slave or free and S. E. certainly told us how to walk in Resurrection Power, by The Way of The Cross. Trust & Obey, for there’s no other Way to be Happy In Jesus, but to Trust & Obey! For more information on her ministry, go to: http://www.secoleman.org or call her at 417-437-0456.
OBAMA SIGNS ‘IMPERFECT’ $410B SPENDING BILL WITH BILLIONS IN EARMARKS IN PRIVATE:
Surely 410 Billion Dollars should bring us something close to perfect, especially since God tells us to be perfect as He is perfect. This bill includes earmarks that the President “promised” to curb in last year’s campaign. Thank God that ALL of His Promises Are Yes & AMEN, In Christ Jesus. He always tells The Truth!
MURDER CHARGES DROPPED AGAINST MAGAZINE SALESMEN:
Dewey is going to follow up on this story, as something doesn’t seem to be quite right. Two men who have been in jail for over a year charged to beating to death an elderly Korean couple in late 2007 are free men today. Last year, career criminal Clifton Bloomfield, who is currently serving a life sentence out of state, confessed to killing the Yis as well as three other people in Albuquerque, but District Attorney Kari Brandenberg says her office can’t make a 100% case connecting Rowley and Lee to the Yi’s home where the murders occurred.
PRAISES & THANKSGIVING TO GOD:
Dewey and I were praising and thanking God today for allowing us to pray for all of the needs of our KKIM listening family and friends. This year will mark 37 years of broadcasting excellence for our station and we just have to give ALL Glory, Honor & Praise to Him, Who has kept His Word going forward throughout NM on AM 1000, 94.7FM, here in NM and around the world on http://mykkim.com . Please, continue to pray for us daily and consider becoming a KKIM Ministry Partner.
WHAT’S HAPPENING TOMORROW?
Be sure to listen to Sandy Harrington tomorrow from 3:30-4pm Mountain Time on “Something About Women,” as her very special guest will be talking about Hope – A Conversation with Women for Women and from 4:30-5:30pm on NM News & Views, we’ll be interviewing Pastor Mark Scales of Heights Christian talking about their upcoming mission trip to El Salvador (they leave Fri.).
TGIF:
Pastor Leonard Navarre is bringing in a special guest for our Friday Edition of NM News & Views, the only 1 hour of news and information on the radio in ALL of New Mexico, so be sure to tell everyone you know to listen in at home, work, school, play and in your car.
Let us pray………..
Lord, Let us realize, what we fear is often the measure of our maturity.
Let us also learn in our walk with you to pray like Solomon. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
