Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!
Let us be in pray for all those families who lost loved ones in the terrible shootings at Emcore yesterday in Albuquerque. The death toll is at 3 with one person in guarded condition at the University of New Mexico Hospital. Go to www.mykkim.com Frank Haley has the latest.
City Public safety Director Darren White said that officers arriving on the scene did not wait around for rescue or back up…. they were putting people into their squad cars…..one officer was covered completely in blood.
Let us also pray for our Police Officers, Fireman, Rescue Workers, Doctor’s and nurses…….The workers who witnessed all this…….
Our son Mike was in a building next door working when all this started. We had our anxious moments.
I cannot even imagine what people who witnessed this are going through.
I have heard from people who are asking for prayer for the workers…..I heard from a friend that she has a friend that works at the plant and was injured in a fall when the madness started..I heard from a young man that said he knew the killer…….So many emotions.
Most of us know people or have known people who live on the edge of life………they give up……or they are about to give up…..They seem hopeless…….
It is our job as the Body of Christ to be that light………..
Are we as the Church, Body of Christ doing all we can…..or as Ken Houts writes in his book, Maximize Your Influence, are we just maintaining….it seems many Church’s are maintaining………..in a fog……..
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not……..” (2 Cor 4:4). Although in this verse the apostle Paul was referring to those in the world who do not believe, the principle is true for all: Our minds are blinded when we do not believe. Your fears, insecurities, self doubt, and unbelief present the forces of darkness opportunity to blind the eyes of your mind.
Our big problem is that the god of this world, the deceiver, has blinded our minds because we believe not. The world translated as “blinded” in Second Corinthians 4:4 means a fog that dims and darkens our spiritual sight. With this blindness, it is not that you cannot see at all, but that you see only indistinct forms with no clarity. Often, after hearing the revelation of the maintenance culture (is it the blindness that causes Church’s like the Crystal Cathedral to split up the family, go into debt, build fancy buildings, always selling something?I think the fog of darkness covers many in the Church!) People tell me, “You put into words what I have been feeling.” They had seen only distinct forms, their minds blinded by the darkness.
How could such a spiritual condition be oppressing a church for years, yet the Pastor did not know it? What is the darkness that is deceiving church leaders, oppressing the Church, and prohibiting Christians from seeing God’s vision for their life?
Without seeing God’s vision for our life we cannot brings others out of the darkness!
The darkness upon the Church is in the very culture that has overcome the American Church. It is a culture that maintains.
Houts says that only 2 percent of the growth in the American Church is salvation growth…….an astonishing 98 percent of all church growth in the American Church is Church transfer!!!!
Houts continues that if any corporation today would fulfill its mission statement by only 2 percent, it would be out of business.
In the tender mercies of God, Houts continues, we must ask, “How can we say we are obeying the Lord when we are fulfilling King Jesus mission statement by only 2 percent?”
Here is the bottom line to all this……………
WHEN DISCIPLES ARE NO LONGER BEING MADE, DARKNESS IS NO LONGER BEING PLUNDERED!!!!!!!
WAKE UP CHURCH!!!!!
What quality of life is demonstrated when 9.5 out of 10 Church members are so fearful that they refuse to share the love of God that has been poured out in their hearts by the Holy Spirit ?See Romans 5:5
I have people tell me………..my Church is in trouble…….my Pastor cannot preach like he knows he should………my Pastor cannot talk to this Pastor because of problems in the denomination……….The words you spoke Dewey, have not been spoken in our Church in years…….our Church is falling apart…….only 5 people are keeping our Church alive……..we have people come and they don’t come back……..they said they were going to come, but they don’t……………….we have this new program we are going to do……..but we can’t get interest going in our Church………
Now with all that let me leave you with this…….
Let us pray for the Church………..for a Spiritual Awakening!!!
Let us pray over this verse that can be found in Luke 2:49……..
Let us focus on this………..
Jesus said, “I must be about My Father’s business”
We must ask ourselves are we fulfilling our Father’s business or Church business?
My Dear, Dear friends.how can we expect to help lift the darkness of the world………the two young men in Taos who were executed in a gang war,the young man who was killed in Santa Fe, gang related over a girl and then the horrible killings in Albuquerque yesterday…..Are we doing Church business or our Father’s business?
Jesus commanded us, “Go pursue your journey, and as you journey, make followers.”
It is time the Church get’s it’s hands dirty and roll up those sleeves and get to work!!!!!
My life verse…Acts 20:24
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus Acts 20:24
Let us pray………….
Lord, We pray for the Church, we pray for our Pastor’s, we pray for our Church leaders, we pray for Spiritual Awakening!!! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
