Shalom Dewey!!!!
What does Shalom mean?
Shalom, the Hebrew word for “peace”, means the Kingdom of God invades your life. Picture an invasion in your mind…..remember that from an old war movie? Have you let God invade your Life? The Kingdom of God interrupts Satan’s plans for your life and replaces them with Shalom!
Shalom means blessings, prosperity, health, goodness, and abundance. It means that the kingdom of darkness has been defeated and flees in terror from you!!! Read James 4:7 please……..do it now please…….I know many of you read the CUP with your Bible!

As I mentioned last week son Lars and I headed to Chama this past weekend. It was one of those times you would like to stick in a bottle and save it! God really blessed this time together. WOW!! AWESOME!!! Sharon made this call……..she said you guys should go to Chama for the weekend, knowing we needed father and Son time. I am so thankful for my family.
Dad’s are you spending enough time with your kids. I am so blessed that my kids all over 20 now still want to spend time with me. I have some Dad’s say that their kids don’t want to hang out with them anymore……or kids telling me that they don’t get to spend time with their Dad.
Here are some things the Lord showed me on the trip to Chama……..I was able to read in the early morning hours outside in the cool weather of Northern New Mexico…by the way google Chama, New Mexico………you would be blessed by your visit to this area……..we had a visit from a bear at 5am Sunday!!!!!
Okay back to what the Lord showed me……..
God showed me once again that HE plans things in my life because I need them………and I don’t always know my needs……..I may think I do, but the Lord knows all my needs…….God showed me HIM first, Sharon and kids…and then Ministry. God continues to help me prioritize. God knew I needed to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and off into the woods…….
As I said God gives me things I didn’t know I needed…but HE uses others in my life to deliver messages to me and books etc……….
Pastor Leonard gave me a book by Ken Houts, “Maximize Your Influence” and I had it laying on my desk as I got hundreds of books I page through weekly…..but the Lord told me to pack that book for the trip to Chama. See what happens when we listen to HIM!!! HE guides our lives in what we may think are the simplest things, like what books to read…….
Anyhow here are some high points from the book that the Lord wants me to share with you……..by the way Leonard says the leadership group at Valley View is reading it……..

The plan that the Lord has for us is not to deliver us out of the world, but for us to invade the “power of darkness” with the dominion of Heaven. Breakthrough is when heaven invades the darkness on the earth. Breakthrough interrupts the devil’s plans, and it intrudes upon his works with the works of God. Breakthrough is when the devil’s plans of poverty, lack, sickness, division, decline, and decrease are replaced with God’s plans of abundance, blessing, health, unity, increase, and growth.
AMEN AMEN to that!!!!
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. 1 Cor 2:9
From the foundation of the world, God the Father has had a vision of what He created you to be, and what He created you to do. God has a vision of you——a vision of His created purpose for your life, your gifts, skills, and strengths—-a vision He had of you before the foundation of the world. He has plans for you to fulfill the vision He has for you. His vision will fulfill you more than any dream you have for yourself.
I will share more with you in the coming days……Lord Willing……………as we invade the darkness of this world……….We must be in prayer….we must have a personal relationship with our Lord to know His vision for us………
I was told awhile back that the words I preach had not been preached in their Church in years…….Those of course were not my words..they were the words of the Lord, as He gives me the words each day to preach……..I try everyday not to do something stupid. I try to follow the Lord’s Will in my life and pray and listen all the time.
When we turn our lives over to the Lord and listen………listen for his voice…….He will guide us in the simplest things in our lives….
A friend wrote, but Dewey I have never heard the Lord talk to me!…….my prayer is that our friend will pray with all his heart and give all of himself to the Lord and then listen for the Holy Spirit to invade his life………then you will hear…….
Also for you leaders in the Church……….leaders in our communities…….leaders at home………let me share this though with you………

An astonishing 98 percent of all Church growth in the American Church is Church transfer!!!! From Ken Houts.
Houts writes…….You know what the Church transfer is don’t you? Transfer growth is via Church hoppers, the steeple chasers. Church transfer growth is growth that is produced by Church members going from Church to Church.
We, the Church have plenty of work to do….instead of taking in steeple chasers we need to bring folks to the Lord. Houts has a lot to say on that. Here in Albuquerque we have new Church’s open, but are we just taking in people from other Church’s???? Oh no!!!I got going again……It seems we are not increasing the Body of Christ but just “trading players”

It is very sad to see what has happened to the Ministry of Robert Schuller……He and his son split……many have left the congregation,,,,,,,,the Church is in debt………very sad let us pray………This is what happens when the focus becomes money, big buildings…land…etc……
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. — The Rev. Robert H. Schuller, founder of Southern California’s Crystal Cathedral megachurch and host of the “Hour of Power” televangelism broadcast, announced Sunday he will retire after 55 years in the pulpit and his daughter will take over.
The 83-year-old Schuller told his congregation that Sheila Schuller Coleman will become sole lead pastor, after sharing that role with her father for the past year.
Coleman previously served as principal of a private Christian school run by the cathedral and head of the Orange County church’s family ministries division.
She was ordained just a month before she was appointed to head up Crystal Cathedral Ministries.
The elder Schuller will assume the newly created position of chairman of Crystal Cathedral’s board of directors.
Coleman’s appointment comes two years after Schuller’s son, the Rev. Robert A. Schuller, split from the church during a family rift that made headlines. The younger Schuller had been groomed to take over for his father.
Robert A. Schuller is now part of Dallas-based American Life Network, a cable channel aiming to produce family-oriented programming
Let us pray for the Schuller family………a family divided cannot stand……..
Lord, We pray today for the Schuller family….we pray for healing Lord, we pray that egos be put to rest and that You are allowed to do Your work in the family. Let us all rid ourselves of ego………in the name of Jesus, AMEN!
