Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our LORD be with you and yours forever and ever!
Happy July 4th to you all!! Thanks for all the Birthday greetings!!!
We are thankful for you all!!
What is your life verse?
As Pastor Leonard says……..mine is………Acts 20:24
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus.
I would select a life verse for yourself and live by it.
As I reflect on my life of 54 years……..I am so thankful for the Godly men and women in my life. Sharon and I have such Godly, Wise friends. Thank you all!
Let us remember……….
The Lord is my light
and my salvation—–
who shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—–
of whom should I be afraid?
When evildoers came against me
to devour my flesh,
my foes and my enemies stumbled
and fell.
Though an army deploy against me,
my heart is not afraid;
though war break out against me,
still I am confident.
Psalm 27 1-3
Though the World grows dark…….let us remain confident in our LORD!
We have many unspoken prayer requests………folks who have such needs
Many do not want their names used when asking for prayer………I understand that……..we pray for the unspoken needs………
In Andrew Murray’s book “The Inner Life” he writes a bout a simple concept that revolutionized my approach to daily Bible reading.
He writes, “Prayer and the Word are inseparably linked together. Power in the use of either depends upon the presence of the other……The Word gives me guidance for prayer, telling me what God will do for me. It gives me the power to pray, telling me how God would have me come……And it gives me the answer to prayer, as it teaches what God will do for me…..Prayer seeks God; the Word reveals God. In prayer we rise to heaven to dwell with God; in the Word God comes to dwell with us.”
From the book by Becky Tirabassi, “Let God Talk to You”
I have to tell you….I had the book in the truck in the garage and the Lord told me to go get it and turn to that page in Becky’s book and share it with you…..that is how the Lord moves in our lives………we just have to be listening and following HIS WILL not ours……..As I sit and write you almost everyday, I always seek the Lord’s Will in my words to you. AMEN! PRAISE GOD!
Steve would like us to pray for his family……..financial stresses our weighing heavily on his family. Let us pray for Steve. I am so thankful we can gather here at the CUP and pray together……..Steve is a wonderful man and is doing the work assigned to him by the Lord………
We also have these prayer needs for Curtis and Frank…………
Curtis is still in Intensive care, is blood sugar went up to 250, they gave him insulin to bring down.
If he continues to improve they will move him to a room later.
He has had back problems for so long, and if he didn’t get this surgery they said he could become paralyzed as it was putting pressure on his spine. We are at a wonderful hospital and I would appreciate the prayers.

Her husband, Curtis is such a lovely man……friend Taunya sent this email……..
Hi Dewey – can you please add Curtis (Brenda’s husband) to your next DDC? He had invasive neck surgery on Thursday – he is recovering, but has experienced some complications from his diabetes. Would you please ask your faithful readers to lift these two lovely people up in prayer? Please pray for complete healing/health for each of them and that our Dear Lord provide them much needed rest and support as they make their way through this.
God bless you and the work that you do – I pray for you daily.

Pastor Leonard has this prayer need he wants to share with us……….
Below is a special prayer request from Troy Mantel. Please pray for Frank and his family and also for Troy. May God bring healing and comfort to Frank.
Thank you in advance for your prayers.
Leonard
Frank Nieto has been hospitalized since last Friday (June 25). I found him shaking uncontrolably when I got home last week Friday. I had to call the paramedics, despite his protests. They brought him to Kaseman ER and he stayed there for about 20 hours before they moved him to the main Presbyterian hospital. He stopped shaking that first night but continues to be “out of it” and mumbles when he talks, and they’re just monitoring him while he withdraws from alcohol. He recognizes you when you visit but he doesn’t do well with conversations and I’m not exactly sure he really knows where he is. He is also too weak to walk at this point.
Thankfully, his family is getting involved. His oldest sister is drawing up Power of Attorney documents and they are working on getting him set up with Human Services medical insurance coverage (of sorts). They either want to move him back to Kaseman or to UNM.
I ran into John Schoening at Presbyterian yesterday and we prayed with him. Frank will need 24-hour care for a while and I want to pray for his family (who hadn’t had much to do with him over the years) that they fully step forward to care for their brother.
Feel free to forward this to others at VVCC. Thank you.

Let us be in prayer constantly………Paul my hero calls us to pray all the time………..all the time……..I have to say I pray sitting down, standing up, walking, running, playing softball…….etc……..it is the only way I get through the days…….pray and listen for the Lord. Pray and listen…….Our minute by the minute focus here on earth should be praying and listening.
Now read this please from Kitty, also please read the scripture she has at the bottom of her email……..
Good morning Dewey and Happy, Happy Birthday!!
May the Lord mightily bless you, anoint you and commission you in His work in an even larger and more profound way this coming year to spread the Good News of hope, love and salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I copied you on the “call2fall” event happening this Sunday, July 4th, just in case you are not aware of it. Also wanted to find out if there was a possibility of posting the following request on your Daily Cup email. I have a friend who has a ministry that reaches out to the poor, homeless, lost and forgotten people here in Albuquerque. He gives away Christian resources as he ministers to those on the streets, homeless shelters, nursing homes, hospitals, college campuses, etc (he also has a 24 hour prayer line). He is in need of more Christian books, pamphlets, tracts, magazines, Bibles….anything….new, used, marked up, dog-eared, it doesn’t matter, he can use it all. These resources are given and mailed to anyone having a need, anywhere in the world, but mostly here in the Albuquerque area. Anyone here in the Albuquerque area who has resources they find as they are cleaning out their garages, getting ready for a yard sale or as they are done reading their magazines and would be willing to donate….one of us would be happy to pick these up from them. They can call me at 250-5362. Thank you Dewey! And again, Happy Birthday! Thank you all for gathering here at the cup………..
In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
