Dear KKIM Family
May the Strength and Peace of our Lord be with you and yours!
Whenever God causes a doubt about something, stop it immediately, no matter what it may be. Oswald Chambers
Yesterday our lovely doggie Brownie passed on at 18 years of age. Her body just wore out. She taught us much…..how to love much….how to be loyal……..common sense…….Brownie was abused…shot by her previous owner 8 times with a BB Gun..hit by a shovel…….and years ago the kids picked her out at the Shelter…saving her life. Brownie never forgot that……she was so loyal and loving to us. She loved it that she had a good safe home. God created all………He created Brownie and all or furry friends for us and to show His wonders……..
Last night as I was about to go on the air and Gretchen Lars and Franchesca were on the phone with me from the Vet’s Office and I got to say goodbye to Brownie and then Gretchen said a few moments later that She was gone………
As Gretchen said there will never be another Brownie…….she helped raise Gretchen and Lars……great watch dog………
The funniest story: On a road trip and Brownie is with us and we stop at a KFC in Kansas and we get the Chicken, put it in the van…..why did we do that?……..and then we all go back into the KFC to use the Bathroom….we all get back in the Van and all the Chicken……potatoes……..biscuits…….were gone!!!!! Brownie ate all!!!!! LOL LOL
Brownie then became hooked on KFC!
She taught me a lot about love and loyalty…..and about being a servant. She served the Moede family well……..We will most certainly miss her much…but we are thankful to our Lord for Brownie and all that she gave!
Certainly all you doggie and pet lovers out there know how we are feeling today.
The wonders of God never cease to amaze me……..on the way home last night the sun was setting and I was soaking in God’s beauty and His wonderful creation of Brownie……..as the sun was setting….it almost seemed to me I was looking into the very eye’s of our LORD! All is HIS…..All is HIS creation……..I am in AWE of our LORD!

Here is a note from Frank..I asked him to share a bit……….
I’m not sure what you might want me to write, so here goes. I started in radio at the age of 19 at a little 250 watt am station, KDNT in Denton, Texas while I was a Freshman speech/drama major on a scholarship at North Texas State University. I later graduated from Steven F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Over my 51 years in radio, I have worked for a lot of stations. Here’s the list. KDNT (Denton), KCPA-FM (Dallas), KGAF (Gainesville, TX, KEEE (Nacogdoches, Tx) KTBB & KDOK (Tyler, TX), KVIL & KLIF (Dallas) KILT & KTRH (Houston), KOB, KFLQ & KKIM (Albuquerque).
The Lord has really blessed me through the years. I want to thank our KKIM listeners for their prayers for me and for my family, especially for my 2 1/2 year old Grand Daughter Brooke Faith who was in UNM Children’s Hospital for 54 days in critical condition, in a coma, with the RSV Lung virus. She has made a complete full recovery. Praise Jesus!! I really can’t tell you how blessed I am to be on the “air” here at KKIM. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do the Lord’s Work here. For God’s Glory Alone!!

Brother Dewey:
Over the years KKIM has been our mainstay for us in Christian
programing. I remember when we lived in Espanola and Las Vegas in
the 70-90’s KKIM was the only Christian Station. It has helped us in
our walk with the Lord Jesus.
Blessings
Happy Birthday KKIM For God’s Glory Alone

Pastor Larry Moss was in studio with me. We got to talk to many folks on the scene.it was purely wonderful!!! People are sick and tired of the way our Country is being run!
Please tell 10 friends about New Mexico News and Views.
We also had this BREAKING NEWS story last night on NM News and Views….here is a note from Kay………….
My dear friend in Christ, On this day while our citizens are letting their hearts concern for our country be known through the tea parties, Federal Judge Barbara Crabb ruled that National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. I am sure you have heard this, but I just had to share.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER UNDER ATTACK
JUDGE RULES STATUTE SETTING NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER UNCONSTITUTIONAL… AMERICANS URGE PRESIDENT OBAMA TO APPEAL
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO (April 15, 2010) – The National Day of Prayer Task Force (NDPTF) and Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) are urging President Obama to appeal federal judge Barbara Crabb’s decision in Wisconsin that struck down a federal statute that sets a day for the National Day of Prayer. The order does not affect presidential prayer proclamations and will not go into effect unless the decision still stands after all appeals are exhausted in the case.
Shirley Dobson, Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force and wife of Focus on the Family Founder Dr. James Dobson, said “Since the days of our Founding Fathers, the government has protected and encouraged public prayer and other expressions of dependence on the Almighty. This is a concerted effort by a small but determined number of people who have tried to prohibit all references to the Creator in the public square, whether it be the Ten Commandments, the Pledge of Allegiance, or the simple act of corporate prayer – this is unconscionable for a free society.”
Joel Oster, ADF senior counsel, echoed these sentiments saying, “It’s important to remember this about the National Day of Prayer: It’s America’s heritage, and this day belongs to Americans – the court should not have struck down this statute. ADF urges the Obama administration to appeal this terrible ruling that not only undermines the National Day of Prayer, but the underlying heritage and tradition of the American people which dates back to the nation’s founding.”
“The National Day of Prayer provides an opportunity for all Americans to pray voluntarily according to their own faith,” Oster explained. “It does not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and this decision should be appealed.”
In 1952, President Harry Truman signed into law a joint resolution of Congress to set aside an annual National Day of Prayer. Congress amended the law in 1988, which was signed by President Ronald Reagan , for the purpose of establishing a more particular date. The law currently reads, “The President shall issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals.” The Freedom From Religion Foundation challenged the constitutionality of the statute in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
The tradition of designating an official day of prayer actually began with the Continental Congress in 1775, after which President George Washington issued a National Day of Thanksgiving Proclamation. Ever since, American presidents have made similar proclamations and “appeals to the Almighty.” Historically, all 50 governors, along with U.S. presidents, have issued proclamations in honor of the National Day of Prayer.
The court order does not demand that the 59th National Day of Prayer which occurs May 6th, be cancelled. Citizens desiring more information on the efforts of the NDPTF and ADF to defend the National Day of Prayer can visit www.NationalDayofPrayer.org
About the National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
The Following storey is AWESOME, thanks to Anita of Sidney, Montana…..Love you and Craig and family Anita!!!! I tried to find this story on snopes.com but could not but the story is very good…………
Isaiah 65:24
This beautiful story was written by a doctor who worked in Central Africa
One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive; as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator). We also had no special feeding facilities.
Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates).
‘And it is our last hot water bottle!’ she exclaimed. As in the West, it is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa it might be considered no good crying over burst water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways.
‘All right,’ I said, ‘put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job is to keep the baby warm.’
The following noon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily die if it got chills.. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying because her mother had died.
During prayer time, one ten-year-old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. ‘Please, God’ she prayed, ‘Send us a hot water bottle today. It’ll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon.’
While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, ‘And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl so she’ll know You really love her?’
As often with children’s prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say ‘Amen’? I just did not believe that God could do this. Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything; the Bible says so. But there are limits, aren’t there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from the homeland. I had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever, received a parcel from home.
Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator!
Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses’ training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door. By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there on the porch was a large 22-pound parcel. I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children. Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly… Excitement was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box.
From the top, I lifted out brightly-colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the knitted bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and sultanas – that would make a batch of buns for the weekend.
Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the….. could it really be?
I grasped it and pulled it out. Yes, a brand new, rubber hot water bottle. I cried. I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could.
Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying out, ‘If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly, too!
‘Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully-dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted! Looking up at me, she asked, ‘Can I go over with you and give this dolly to that little girl, so she’ll know that Jesus really loves her?’
‘Of course,’ I replied!
That parcel had been on the way for five whole months, packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God’s prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls had put in a dolly for an African child – five months before, in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it ‘that afternoon’.
‘Before they call, I will answer.’ (Isaiah 65:24)
Let us pray……….Lord thank you for all of YOUR creation……..Let us keep our eye’s focused on YOU! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
