Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
It is a blessing to have you with us this day!
What people are saying about FGGAM……”When I hear your voice, I know everything is going to be okay.” Aaron Cobb, Albuquerque
“Great job you are doing…….keep us all aware.” Ruth Smith, Arizona
Let us BOAST IN THE LORD FOR THE WORK HE IS DOING!!!!!
We must BOAST about HIS AWESOME WORK!
We all need to share the our testimonies with this dark world! Let your light shine for Jesus Christ! AMEN!
I’ve heard people say, “I’m trying to find myself.” But how will you know you found YOU if you don’t know you. You don’t find you by looking for you. You find YOU by surrendering to God. He made you. Tony Evans
Too many evangelical Christians in America no longer even remotely resemble the courageous Christians described in the book of Acts – who lived out their faith in Christ and were willing to die for Him. We have surrendered the moral high ground to immoral low-lifes and developed a collective case of unexplainable laryngitis, due to years of laziness, lethargy and indifference, where we can no longer even sing “Stand up, stand up for Jesus.” Instead, we whisper quietly so no one can hear: “I sure hope I didn’t offend anyone.” ~ Barry Cameron
Let us go into prayer right away…………..
Dewey,
Thank you for always sharing your Cup with us. Vickie and I need your prayers again as she found out yesterday that she has a recurrence of Endometrium cancer and will start chemotherapy on Tuesday Jan. 22, to be followed with surgery after the tumor shrinks.
Love in Christ,
Lou & Vickie Cannavale
Lou and Vickie are longtime friends of myself and Sharon. Vickie was my first sponsor when I came to KKIM. You might remember Vickie from her days in the Travel Agency business as A-1 Travel. They are such a Godly couple. Lou has been a leader for years at Paradise Hills Methodist Church! They hosted me and Sharon on a cruise where I proposed to Sharon! Let us pray for complete healing for Vickie!
Pastor Richard Garcia’ s(Church of God in Belen) Mother Jane VanDamme has been admitted to UNM Hospital ICU with complications diabetes and heart issues.
Please pray for healing and deliverance from diabetes.
Pass on.
Blessings.
Pastor Jim Montoya
Let us pray for complete healing for Jane! AMEN!
PRAISE NOTE: Rick reports that all the baby pup’s and Mom are doing fine! Rick and Sandy thank you for your prayers!
Also pray for my Uncle Bob Caraway who has swelling in one of his legs. He served our Country in WWII. He was on a secret mission during WWII serving in the Navy on a sub and was not heard from in over a year, and will not talk about it yet to this day.
It seems very often of late I run into WWII Vet’s like the other day at the Post Office, this man was getting into his car walking with a cane, I went up to him and gave him a love tap on the shoulder and hand shake and prayer! He is just about to turn 90! He said there was 5 WWII Vet’s that saw the same Doctor now there is just 2 left, him and his buddy.
Hero’s, I look for them each day and give them love and prayer, when I began to pray this WWII Vet took his hat off, respect for our Lord. A respect that is not seen enough! It’s becoming a lost art.
What a world we would live in if more JESUS HUG’s and PRAYERS! were given each day!!!!!!!!!!!
I love to say hello and talk with strangers because you know what? With Jesus Christ we meet no strangers, we are all from God. We need to show the love of Jesus Christ to the World.
I share this with you, as I have in tears telling you this, I share it to BOAST in my LORD…….I am told when I enter a a place, the Lights go on, it is not my light, but the LIGHT OF JESUS CHRIST! It is of the Lord not me. You have to guard this light with all your life and never do anything to dim the light or embarrass God.
Do you know I have never had anyone break away from me once I grab their hand or give them a love tap? It is because of the POWER OF GOD! I am weeping yet as I type this because my prayer is that all fall in love with God as I have and receive the blessings I have. Sharon and I don’t have things of this world, less and less, but we have God with us. I had a Doctor and a wife of a deathly ill husband not agreeing and I grabbed both of their hands and pulled them together in prayer……and they both prayed and came to agreement in treatment for the man. NOT OF ME BUT OF OUR LORD.
This is where too many Pastor’s and Christians get mixed up and it starts to go to their head, that it is of themselves and their wonderful testimony is ruined, it turns into what an unbelieving world wants to see. Christians gone bad……big ego’s! Do you know what EGO stands for?
Edging God Out!
I am sharing you this today as the Holy Spirit brought it to me to share to you this day, too show you the POWER OF GOD! HE took a lost soul like me and as lifted me up higher than ever and Sharon is right with me! We do not preach enough on the POWER OF GOD THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THE POWER GOD HAS MADE AVAILABLE TO EACH OF US!
I did not intend to write about this today, but the Holy Spirit did! AMEN!
There is too much nonsense going on in the Country at this time, I turned the dial on the TV last night to about all the channels and my discernment was soured by what I saw and heard. For the most part it is madness on TV, thank the LORD for KAZQ KCHF and KNAT and other Christian TV and Radio stations. I caution you my brothers and Sisters as to what you are hearing and watching, what you hear and watch you become. The United States has become a divided nation, an angry nation, an irresponsible nation. The old saying is how the Church goes, the Country goes…..OUCH!
I have said for years our Country goes from one great crises to the next…….and guess what? That is the subject of an Editorial in the Albuquerque Journal this morning. The problem is, we go from one crises to the next without solving the problems. Now we go to the gun crises and it seems many have gone mad over this.
In all of these crises, we must seek the face of our Lord Jesus Christ and not what we think. We must spend time in great prayer and hear from God, but too many do not do this and go off on emotions.
This sounds to simple to this world we live in, but God is the solution not man.
This devotional piece by Our Daily Bread fit’s the CUP today…………
READ: Isaiah 55:6-13
My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways. —Isaiah 55:8
There are a lot of things that intrigue me about Jesus. One of the aspects of His ministry that has always produced jaw-dropping, head-scratching responses is His upside-down teaching about life.
As we journey through life, we may get to the point where we think we’ve got it figured out and our thought patterns and responses for navigating through life are deeply engrained. Yet Jesus interrupts us in the midst of our routines and calls us to a new and better way. But beware! This encounter with the ways of Jesus will be challenging.
Consider these paradoxical propositions: to live you must die (Mark 8:35); to gain you must give (Matt. 19:21); “blessed are those who mourn” (5:4); to rule you must serve (Luke 22:26); and suffering has purpose (5:10-11).
It is pronouncements like these that make people think Christ is strangely out of touch. But we are the ones out of touch. He is not upside down, we are! We’re like children who think they know better than their parents what is best.
No wonder God has told us, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways” (Isa. 55:8). So, rather than relying on our mixed-up instincts, let’s ask Him to help us reflect His ways. —Joe Stowell
Lord, You know what is best, and You desire to lead
us in paths that are right and good. Give us the
courage to trust and to follow You in the ways
of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Amen.
What may seem upside down to us is right side up to God.
AMEN!
This also fit’s so well today……..by my buddy Ras………
January 16, 2013. You are being held accountable. Did you know that? Jesus was ultimately and completely accountable. He asked the Father about everything, being careful to only say what the Father was saying. He also inquired of the Father before everything He did to make sure His actions were what the Father was doing. Through His retreats and other prayer times with the Father, Jesus seemed to adjust all He did and said to agree with the Father. All power in heaven and earth was given to Him and He gave that power to the disciples, apostles and saints of today. Walk in His footsteps and great will be your power to overcome and minister the Kingdom of God everywhere you go. Find your Father and your father on earth. Get accountable.
Revelation 3:19 (MSG) “The people I love, I call to account-prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!” Ras Robinson
We need your help, it has been a very slow month of Jan. for love offerings to FGGAM, very, very slow. Would you please help us fuel the Ministry with a monthly love offering or one time gift? You can give on the web site www.fggam.org or mail to FGGAM PO BOX 65516 Albuquerque, NM 87193. We would be so thankful for your support as we go forth for God’s Glory Alone. We try to show you letters of testimonies on the work the Lord has us doing, Jannetta posted more at www.fggam.org ;
After all this we need a FUNNY BONE provided by Darlene Quiring!
Lost Churches of the East Coast
When hurricane Sandy struck the East Coast, even houses of worship were not spared.
A local television station interviewed a woman from New Jersey and asked how the loss of churches in the area would affect their lives.
Without hesitation, the woman replied, “I don’t know ’bout all those other people, but we ain’t gone to Churches in years. We gets our chicken from Popeye’s.”
The look on the interviewer’s face was priceless. LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!!
Darlene also sent this gem………
By Lynn Cowell
“I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them.” Hosea 11:4 (NIV)
How could I have messed up, falling for that same old trap? I didn’t mean to. It wasn’t like I purposefully tried to make her look bad. Yet, once again, I didn’t think before I spoke about a mutual friend during lunch. My careless words cast my friend in a negative light.
I felt awful and questioned if I’d ever be who I wanted to be: a woman who guards her words wisely. Though I purpose each day to live in a way that brings honor to God, some times I stray from His ways. And that was one of those times.
Later that day I threw myself into busyness to push down the shame of my conversation. But no matter how much I vacuumed, carpooled or read, the only relief I could find came through prayer.
Prayer should have been the first place I turned. It’s in conversation with Jesus that He leads me away from my unwise choices and whispers, “I forgive you.” He invites me to accept His forgiveness. When I mess up, Jesus’ tenderness and love draws me back to Him and His ways. As Hosea 11:4 says, love is the “cord” He uses to bring us again into fellowship with Him.
God has a lot of experience when it comes to drawing back runaways. In fact, God’s people, the Israelites, strayed from Him by choosing sin and walking apart from His commands. Time after time they left their Lord and time after time He pursued them … with love, as seen in Hosea 11:4. “I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them” (NIV).
God contrasts His gentle guidance with that of a farmer bringing back a runaway animal. The farmer, frustrated with the heifer’s action, might drag the animal back to the pen with a heavy rope. Unlike the firm hand the farmer may have to use to lead the cattle, the Lord tells us that when we run from His best, His hand leading us home is tender and kind.
After asking for forgiveness of the friend I’d spoken with, I was glad when I discovered my words hadn’t altered our relationship. The grace I received from my friend, and God, has caused me to be more careful. God’s kindness makes me want to be like Him, extending that same gentleness in my words and relationships.
Some days, our sin weighs us down and leads us far from the Lord. Yet, God is there, waiting to lead us back, with love, to Him. Today, instead of being stubborn or unresponsive, let’s follow God’s gentle pull back to His heart and His ways.
Dear Lord, thank You that YOU don’t throw me in the pit of my own mistakes. I love You for the way You love me … so perfectly! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
