Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Thanks for stopping for a CUP with us!
I pray that you enjoy the words of A,T. Pierson, let us not move unless we are with the Lord.
1 Sam 9 verse 7….”And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.”
And you will only know what the Lord demands of you through a close personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
What is the Lord showing you this day?
I now so much enjoy spending time in my prayer chair, it is the rocking chair my Mom sat in after she would come home from her Chemo treatments and sit and read her Bible. It is a very special time for me to listen for the Lord, pray and read. I encourage you to have an appointed time each day to go somewhere in your home to do the same. It is the most important thing of any day!
Really cold here in the Desert, we have wind chill temps at 26 below up North. We had around 2 inches of snow in parts on Albuquerque. My friend Jim Hofflander from Mankato, Minnesota is traveling today through New Mexico on his way to Arizona, we have talked this morning a couple of times about road conditions. Jim spent the night in Raton, NM where they had 10 inches of snow last night. Let us pray for safe travel for Jim and all who are traveling this day. Talked to former Congressman Bill Redmond yesterday, his son’s pipes in his house in White Rock, NM froze up Sunday night. That happened to many of us 2 years ago, we had water everywhere! Let us pray! I also had a very nice conversation with former NM LT Gov. Walter Bradley yesterday, Walter, like Bill are mentor’s of mine. Walter says he really enjoy’s the CUP each day!
To warm up your day, Sharon has a great write up on a Cup of coffee! Stay tuned for that!

I got this prayer need from Jeanell yesterday afternoon……..
From our Dear friend Jeanell Abeyta in Chimayo……….
Hello again everyone. This time we need to lift up Pastor Kevin’s(Lighthouse Church in Chimayo) grandpa. From what I understand, the doctors are staying he either has cancer in his lung – or some lung disease that is incurable. The family was told they need to decide if they want to pursue medical options – which don’t look hopeful – or just let him be (not expecting him to live long). Come on now – our God is GREATER!! Please spread the word and get this prayer chain going strong. I’ve attached a “healing scriptures” document. Please read through it and believe it with the Gonzales Family.
Thank you, thank you!
Jeanell Abeyta
We are praying Jeanell for healing, we love you all!
Let us also pray on this, United States of America Military suicides have hit a record 349, a jump of 50% in Marine deaths, in 2012.
Oh, let us pray………
Sharon found this……….
Life is Like a Cup of Coffee
A group of Alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups…porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite. He told his guests to help themselves to the coffee.
After everyone had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups have been taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive, and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup. But you consciously went for the best cups…and then you began eyeing each other’s cups to see who had the best one.”
“Now consider this…life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Savor the coffee, not the cups! The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.”
Live simply. Speak kindly. Care deeply. Love generously.

Let us pray over what Pastor Mark Tross has to share with us………..
Hey Dewey,
I’m heading up to Santa Fe today with some guys from the Promise Keepers Breakfast I attend every Friday 7am @ Weck’s in Rio Rancho (Chuck Harper, a Native American Ministry Leader from AZ will be speaking this Friday there). We’re going to meet with some of the reps to talk & hopefully pray with them, but I wanted to get this info to you, hope you can make it out for this event and help spread The Word, as I believe this will set the stage for what God’s going to do in the western part of our state & beyond. We’re expecting 100 people, some from CA, AZ, NM, with both national & international ministry people involved, so either way, please ask everyone who can’t make it to pray for God’s Perfect Will To Be Done!
Thanks & Blessings,
Mark
NM Prayer Summit details for you and others you want to invite
Friends, here are the details for the next prayer summit as agreed during our call this morning. Can each of you also begin to get the word out to praying folks in your own personal networks that you want to invite? Word of mouth is always the best way to go for such things.
