Dear Family of Jesus,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” 2 Cor 12:7-9
Good morning Dear friends, we are going to dig deep today into The Sermon On The Mount and God’s Grace today and talk about Divorce and other matters………
From Max Lucado…….
According to Paul, God has sufficient sustaining grace to meet EVERY single challenge of our lives. SUFFICIENT. We fear its antonym: insufficient. We’ve written checks only to see the words “insufficient funds”. Will we offer prayers only to discover insufficient strength? NEVER!
Plunge a sponge into Lake Erie. Did you absorb every drop?
Take a deep breath. Did you suck the oxygen out of the atmosphere?
Watch an ocean wave crash against the beach. Will there never be another one?
Of course there will be. No sooner will one crash into the sand than another appears. Then another, then another.
This is a picture of God’s sufficient grace.
Grace is simply another word for God’s tumbling, rumbling reservoir of strength and protection.
“Grace upon Grace” John 1:16
If God permits the challenge, He will provide the grace to meet it.
More in just a moment…………….pour yourself another CUP of coffee or tea………I get from many of you that you drink several cups while reading the CUP each day. I love it that you take the time………..read and pray…..read and pray……..to many hurry through the CUP and life. They want instant this and that.
Before we go any further let’s get this update from Taunya……..
We’ll…my HCG (pregnancy hormone)levels actually went down slightly ~ not good when they’re supposed to double every 48 hours. However, he was surprised to see a sac, that wasn’t there/he couldn’t see on Monday. Did not see a heartbeat, but that’s not really an indicator because I’m just @ the point (5.5 – 6 weeks) where you may or may not be able to detect one. That having been said, he’s discouraged about the HCG but doesn’t want to make any decisions based solely on that. Wants me to repeat my bloodwork in the a.m. and then return for an Ultrasound on Sunday morning. Told God I’d stop Googling all of these scenarios and just wait for my miracle…
Yes, We pray, God’s grace is with you and yours…….God is not found in googling…….you just keep praying……….Love you!
Update on Ruby Wells from Wanell Pate, is that Ruby was sitting up in bed in Sunday having a great time…….Let us continue to pray for a Miracle! AMEN!
Dewey,
I heard a few weeks ago that you were leaving KKIM but did not feel comfortable calling you. I wanted to express my gratitude to you for believing in me enough to offer me a chance to get my toes wet in radio. It has been a great experience that has grown my spirit and communication skills. My prayer is that God will continue to use you in the lives of others as He has used you in my life. You have been a great source of encouragement and support. I will pray for God to open doors for you in the future. I would love to have a phone conversation with you when you get a chance.

Your friend,
Ray Sturdivant
Oh my, I am getting so many notes like this and everywhere I go now, like yesterday..Charles from C and A Transmission said, I miss you so much on the radio.I miss your Strength that you gave us.” Love you Charles but it is the Strength of the Lord given to me to share with all…….
Or my Dear friend Aaron Cobb of Cobb Electric.”When we hear your voice we know it’s going to be okay.” My Dear, Dear friends, when we hear the voice of GOD, we know all is well, AMEN! Love you Dear Aaron and your words.
It is not of me, but of my God. is it not amazing that God gave me a Ministry called, “For God’s Glory Alone!” www.fggam.org
Kind words are like honey——-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body Proverbs 16:24
I am getting many, many kind words……..we must keep grounded in our Lord and not let it become EGO……EGO stands for Edging God Out!
I have Sharon and the Kids and doggies to keep me grounded!
A Friend of the CUP emailed this question in after yesterday’s posting on the Sermon On The Mount…….
Divorce
31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’f]” style=”font-size:0.65em;font-weight:bold;vertical-align:top”[f] 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
In your cup today from the sermon on the mount is where I got the quote.
I now must ask myself, am I an adulterer? My wife divorced her husband because he committed adultery, as did my wife. I divorced her.
This is how I answered the question of our Dear friend, Oh and I so PRAISE GOD for this question, the question on the heart and mind of many..This is what the Body of Christ is to do, be vulnerable in our Lord to ask…………Thank YOU LORD for what you are doing here at the CUP…….
We all strive to be closer to God….to press into God…….read about David, Read about Paul…….they tasted the pit of hell, I have tasted Hell, look how the Lord renewed them and me, Paul killed Christians became one of, if not the greatest Evangelist ever, David killed, committed adultery and other sins and was favored by God, David and Paul are my heroes, I have sinned, I do sin, but I like you, have the Grace of God with me ……and we PRESS INTO GOD to know him better watch how he changes us, The Sermon on The Mount is for us to strive for and encourage others to strive for..to guide us…..We must not look at the Sermon on the Mount as a judgement, but what we strive for and what we want others to strive for. We must not judge others, but pray for their restoration in the Lord and if they Judge us….we call it Nothing noise. Stand strong, don’t compromise……AMEN!
I am available for counseling.
Excellent questions …….these are the kind of questions God loves……..because you love Him enough to ask these questions. Do not let words and actions of others tear down you and your wife. That is why we are told to put the Armour of God on each day.
Pastor Leonard Navarre is helping me as I study the Sermon on the Mount and also God’s Grace, along with Pastor Steve Hickey with his book, Obtainable Expectations, a Timely Exposition of the Sermon On The Mount. God’s Grace with Pastor Max Luxcado with his new book, Grace.
I so love the Men and Women God has surrounded me and Sharon with to teach and guide us.
When many read The Sermon On The Mount they feel like they have failed, me included! Many give up and go into a life of continued sin. Many are chased from the Church and their families. What is so wonderful is that God led me to study The Sermon On The Mount and His Grace at the same time!!!!!!!! AMEN!
God’s Grace…………
I love the questions of that we have received here at the CUP this week…..How do I put God First in my life? And now today’s question. It means people feel safe and confident in God to ask these questions. God loves you to ask questions. I believe that is one of the reasons God has put me where I am at now……..I so miss being on the radio, but God wants me doing one on one Ministry and out in the face of people.
People are attracted to Honesty, not judgement…….I know in my heart people want honesty, they are tired of the nothing noise or the blah, bla, blah!
God gives us honesty, it’s in His Word, all we ever need is in God’s Word, the Bread of life.
Max Lucado says this: and I put my two cents in here also…..a mixture of Max and Dewey!
Find a congregation that believes in confession. Avoid a fellowship of perfect people (you won’t fit in), but seek one where members confess their sins and show their humility, where the price of admission is simply an admission of guilt. Healing happens in a church like this. Followers of Christ have been given authority to hear confession and proclaim grace. “if you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” John 20:23
Confessors find a freedom that deniers don’t. Deniers are a miserable lot!
“If we say we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, He will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what is right. he will cleanse us from all wrongs we have done” 1 John 1:8-9.
Oh, the sweet certainty of these words. “He will cleanse us.” Not he might, could, would, or has been known to. He will cleanse you and I. Tell God what you did. Again, it’s not that He doesn’t already know, but the two of you need to agree. Spend as much time as you need, weep……share all the details you can. Then let the pure water of grace flow over your mistakes!
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Cor 12:9
Cry for help and you’ll find it’s grace and more grace. The moment he hears, he’ll answer. Isaiah 30:19
God never gives a thorn without this added grace, He takes the thorn to pin aside the veil which hides His face. Martha Snell Nicholson
Grace is simply another word for God’s tumbling, rumbling reservoir of strength and protection. It comes at us not occasionally or miserly but constantly and aggressively, wave upon wave. Max Lucado
I am going to ask you to stop and pray right now…and come back to the Cup when you are finished.
I am going to finish this today in sharing a bit of what Pastor Steve Hickey writes on The Sermon On The Mount…….
Jesus was explicitly saying the Sermon On The Mount is foundational for future success and stability in His Kingdom. Could this be any clearer that we are to obey and build our lives around Matt 5-7?
This is just one of the clues within the “sermon” itself that underscores the importance of this specific teaching of Jesus. Verse one of chapter five records that Jesus went “up on a mountain” which directly parallels Moses going up the mountain for the law. “then Moses went up to God and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said….”Exodus 19:3
Going “up the mountain” has now become “Christianese” for getting with God to, among other things, getting a word from God.
Here in Matt 5-7, Jesus, the new Moses, ascends the mountain and sets down the new law of love. Going up the mountain with God, is something every believer ought to do every month. AMEN!
A time for prayer and fasting.
Sharon and I didn’t go up the Mountain, we went to Minnesota…….and got away…….prayed, visited the grave yards of family, visited my homestead, family and friends………..and God showed us much! AMEN!
That’s when I came back and resigned from KKIM, as God showed that to me clearly, and the need now to start www.fggam.org! Plus to spend more time with Sharon and the kids, as I worked 6 to 7 days a week. Travel to see the Kid’s the Lord told me.
To live a life of peace, is to me, a very close personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The closet relationship you have should be with Jesus Christ! AMEN!
God, Wife or husband, family, and your work the Lord has given you to do.
These are the Words the Lord gave me this day for you and yours AMEN!
I will be Preaching this Sunday at the Open Door Church of God in Los Lunas at 11am. Please come if you do not have a home Church. Call Pastor Jim Montoya for more info and directions 505-440-9770.

September 13, 2012. Out west in America, people are applauded for “shooting straight.” Another term often said about people who “tell it like it is” is that you can count on them to do business and communicate in a “straight up” manner. Some of these saying were strange and trite to us when our family first moved to Texas many years ago. Now we come to expect our relationship to be characterized by truth with no mixture. Some get a little too abrupt in their straight forward talking, even to be corrective and abrasive. A good person usually knows God and delights in being His child and thus treats other believers like brothers and sisters. That goes down well. We have come to a place where we do not tolerate devious schemers and slick willies. God shoots straight with us. Why don’t we just shoot straight with others?
Proverbs 12:2 (MSG) “A good person basks in the delight of GOD, and he wants nothing to do with devious schemers.” Ras Robinson
September 13, 2012. Now it’s time to stake stock. If you don’t do it now it will hinder what happens later. Actions are happening so fast and steps will be left out if you don’t find out exactly where you are and what yet needs to be done. Record what you have and then what you think you need. It’s important to do a good job now but it’s also in preparation for what is ahead. If you knew what is coming it would be difficult to believe how good it will be. But don’t concentrate on the future. Do what is just before you and the future as glorious as it is will happen.
Philippians 4:19 (AMP) “And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Bev Robinson

September 13, 2012. Be about being obedient. My Son had pinpoint obedience in everything He did while He was on the Earth and He continues to operate that way with Me as He sits at My right hand. He is literally positioned in the proper place of authority. He was and is a man who completely understands the value of submission. He respects Me as the authority in His life, so that We have a win/win scenario in all We do. I gave and continue to give guidance and direction for Jesus to accomplish My desires, and He assures Me that My plans will be completely fulfilled and accomplished. Position yourself underneath My authority.
Deuteronomy 4:1 (NASB) “Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I am teaching you to perform, so that you may live and go in and take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.” Kevin Robinson For God’s Glory Alone, Dewey Sharon and Family
