Bobby Jones of KKIM shared this quote from his Dad, he said this is one of the most memorable things his Dad said…….Pastor Thomas Jones would have been 75 yesterday, Thomas passed away in Albuquerque at the age of 59 and served as Pastor of the Los Altos Nazarene Church and the Nazarene Church in Belen. Please continue to pray for Robert Perry who was in that awful motorcycle wreck as he was raising funds for Make-A-Wish of New Mexico. Robert has many, many challenges right now, he is still in the hospital. Let us continue to pray for complete healing for Robert. Sandy Harrington of Make-A-Wish told me yesterday there was also another bad accident involving another person raising funds for Make-A-Wish on a motorcycle from another state. Let us pray together for Robert, the other motorcycle driver, I don’t have his name, pray for Juliet’ Dad and Michelle’s Mom, Rosalind Archuleta.

Here’s a PRAISE REPORT: many of you know that my Grandpa Moede was one of the first fireman in Windom, Minn when it became a Town and that my Dad served on the Dept. for nearly 40 years….and I never got the opportunity to serve in Windom but I was a Fireman in Osceola, Indiana for a few years………well yesterday daughter Gretchen was driving the Firetruck on the Wildlife Refuge! The Moede family tradition continues!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!

Yesterday as I was interviewing John Taylor who wrote the book, “Make My Life a Bible” which was co-authored by Robin White, KKIM listener Leslie Mouser texted this in…..”Faith is an underused muscle! AMEN! John loved that, and so did I! In his book John has collected the stories of the many miracles he has seen over the last 10 years as the Lord called him to pray for healing. John makes it clear he is just a vessel sent by God to pray for people, Jesus Christ does the healing. From Twitter to Facebook I had people sending me messages during the interview, John’s message was very well received. I can always tell now when someone I am interviewing has been well received, because I start to get text and facebook messages! I encourage you to got to John’s website www.makemylifeabible.com and order his book and read for yourself. John will be making the trip to Albuquerque on July 19th, Lord Willing and we will tape a segment for our TV program!

I just love that so much about John Taylor, he’s an good ol Cowboy from the great state of Texas that found our Lord and now is sharing the LOVE and POWER of our LORD too many!

John also shared that when people die that he has prayed for he knows that through his prayers that they have accepted Jesus Christ and have been healed and gone to heaven.

I’m praying that Robin White who co-authored the book will come also.Robin wrote this in her forward of John’s book……..

Signs, wonders, and miracles should follow us if we could only believe what the Bible says about God and if we abide in Him. Why is it so easy for people to believe in the supernatural in regards to the other things that are in this world, but doubt that God still works that way today? Miracles are more than just physical healing: they apply to every aspect of our lives if we are willing to put our faith out there.

As we pray over what we just read…..and what we have been sharing the last few days on reading into Proverbs..seeking Faith and Wisdom…….we all seek Wisdom each day, not the Wisdom of man, but of God.

Ephesians 1:15-23

Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdomand insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called-his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:6-7, “Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”

All of us can use a guardian angel to watch over us. Knowing that wisdom is available to us as just such a protection, why not spend a little time meditating on these words of wisdom. July 11, 2012. An error was made in judgment. Not a big error but nevertheless enough that put you back. Do not fret over this this, but begin again. Go from where you are and before you know it you will be ahead of where you were before the error was made. No one knows the error so don’t speak about it. Speaking about it will slow down your progress. Speak only to Me, and tell Me thoroughly what happened. Then get your mind and thoughts off the error. If you just go straight ahead from where you are now you will be back on track quickly. You will get back by going straight ahead.

July 11, 2012. To have the heart of a child again would make life so much easier. When we were children, the majority of life was fun. We didn’t worry about where to sleep. We weren’t concerned so much with what we were going to eat. Our minds didn’t ponder the thought of not having shelter from the sun, wind, rain or cold. We had no anxiety of what we would wear inside our home, or even outside. Most of us knew deep down inside that we would be taken care of. The Lord says, “Don’t worry, be happy. Give all of your cares to Me. Trust Me and this Father’s heart of Mine.”

Are You Dehydrated?

‘Cause it’s REALLY HOT outside!

Water plays a key role in body temperature regulation. When we begin to overheat, we sweat. By sweating, we lower our body temperature through evaporative cooling. Because sweat is mostly made up of water, when we’re dehydrated, we’ll stop sweating and can quickly overheat. Anyone who’s ever suffered heatstroke understands the importance of hydration on a hot summer’s day!

If someone is outright bawling and they have nothing but dry eyes to show for it, then there’s a strong chance that they’re dehydrated. Tears are used to clean and lubricate the eyes. Although tears for crying differ in composition from tears used for real lubrication, all tears contain water. So, if we’re low on H2O, we usually stop producing tears.

When we’re properly hydrated, water moves from our cells into the bloodstream in order to maintain the appropriate amount of blood in our blood vessels and to regulate blood pressure. With chronic dehydration, blood volume and blood pressure may drop such that the oxygen content of blood drops as well. Without proper oxygen, our muscle and nerve functions slow down and we become easily fatigued.

With a drop in blood volume and pressure, dehydration can also cause us to feel lightheaded, faint or become dizzy. One of the key signs of dehydration-related dizziness is a sudden rush of lightheadedness when we stand up too quickly, a condition called orthostatic hypotension.

Proper hydration is extremely important for the active male. Although it’s not entirely understood how dehydration affects muscle function, it’s probably related to an imbalance of electrolytes. Electrolytes like sodium and potassium are electrically charged ions that our muscles use to contract. If we’re chronically dehydrated, we may develop a lasting electrolyte imbalance that can lead to continuous muscle cramping or spasms during or after exercise.

The heart needs a healthy and normal body environment in order to function properly. Because the heart is a muscle like any other, with reductions in blood flow and changes in electrolyte concentrations due to dehydration, the timing of our heart can be affected and we may begin to experience abnormalities in the heart’s beating pattern (called palpitations).

Dehydration reduces the elasticity of the skin (also known as “skin turgor”). Doctors may actually use skin elasticity as a quick check of dehydration through a special test called the “pinch test.” Basically, the skin on the back of the hand is pinched and pulled upwards, and then released. Skin with normal turgor snaps rapidly back to normal while skin with decreased turgor remains elevated and drops slowly. Give it a try. Although this isn’t the best test of dehydration, the elasticity of the skin is still a good sign to do.

When we’re healthy, the food we eat moves freely through our colon. The colon will absorb water from foods we’ve eaten while leaving behind waste. The waste left behind is what forms the stool. Constipation occurs when the colon absorbs too much water or when muscle contractions are slowed. When we’re dehydrated, the colon will try to conserve water and will absorb too much water from our food, causing our stools to become hard and dry. The result is constipation.

As blood pressure falls and tissue dries out in the dehydrated individual, the kidneys will kick into action and try to conserve water by concentrating the urine or by stopping the production of urine entirely. As the urine becomes more and more concentrated, its color will become darker and darker until it reaches shades of dark yellow or even amber.

The No. 1 sign that you’re not sufficiently hydrated is probably the most obvious: you’re thirsty. The mouth dries out and your tongue becomes slightly swollen as your body cries out for hydration – signs that should not be ignored. The best way to avoid dehydration is simply to drink water whenever thirsty. But if you’re drinking enough water and you’re still noticing signs of dehydration, then some other underlying condition may be source of your problem…see your health care provider.
