Thanking the LORD for this day to be with you!

Jannetta, our webmaster here at the CUP  is having a great time with her kid’s in California…..a surprise visit! How wonderful! A love story! I love stories like this! Even thou she is busy, Jannetta still takes time to post the CUP! PTL! Jannetta is a true servant of our LORD! AMEN!!!

Wanell Pate is also a true servant of our LORD, she is working very hard forming “For God’s Glory Alone Ministries”, which the CUP is part of. Wanell and Jannetta are role models for us all! The launching of out TV program is coming in July to KAZQ TV 32 and Lord willing as times goes on we will have more GOOD News for you!

Let me touch on 1 Cor 2:16……….

Mark 10: 43-45 says……

Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

In other words, deep inside the mind and motives of Jesus, driving all He said and did, was a servants mentality.

A servant does not sow into their own success before they have first sown into another’s, helping them to be all they are distend to be in God.

Jesus was sent to serve, to execute the purposes of God on earth.

In the economy of God, the throne never precedes the towel……did you get that?

We see evidence of this servanthood throughout the Bible.

“When Moses the servant of the Lord died” Duet. 34:5

We also read about “Joshua the servant of the Lord.” Joshua 24:29 and Judges 2:8

Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours. 2 Peter 1:1

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes scattered among the nations. James 1:1

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ…. Titus 1:1

I find it so important that among all the titles these great men of God could have used, they list servant first!

In the Kingdom of God we find………

The highest place is found as we take the lowly place.

Strength is found as we discover our weakness.

Fullness comes as we empty ourselves.

Life is gained as we lay it down for love’s sake.

Riches are gained as we give them away.

Greatness comes as we carry a towel and washbasin into every circumstance and relationship in life.

This is opposite of what the World teaches……..It is what Jesus did when he walked this earth…and it is what His Word says we are to do.

The Mind of Christ is being a servant.

I PRAISE GOD for the how the LORD is using the life of Kyle Martin! When Kyle traveled here to New Mexico to hold a Revival, WOW! It was the start of REVIVAL here in New Mexico! From this the LORD showed me to put Kyle on the radio…….now his program is heard nation wide! October–1347.  A fleet returning from the Black Sea carries its death sentence for Europe.  Most of the sailors are dead.  The few who survive wish they hadn’t. Before it’s over, one-third of Europe’s population will be dead from bubonic plague!
Twenty-five million people died.  No cure was known.  No hope offered.  The healthy quarantined the infected.  The infected counted their days.  But was it humanity’s deadliest scourge?  No.
Scripture reserves that title for a darker blight.  It makes the plague seem like a cold sore.  No culture avoids, nor person sidesteps the infection of sin.  Sin sees the world with no God in it.
The Bible says “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21.”  Christ became that sin offering.  He overcame the punishment for sin–death–through his glorious resurrection from the dead!

A message from Franklin Graham……….

May 23, 2012 – We’re committed to preaching the truth as revealed in the Bible, and we proclaim the Gospel that changes hearts and saves souls for eternity.

A few weeks ago, my home state of North Carolina held a critical vote on whether to amend the state constitution to define marriage as only between a man and a woman. My father was quoted in a newspaper ad placed across the state supporting the amendment, and I did radio and television spots to remind people of God’s definition of marriage and the importance of this issue.

The world we are living in has changed so much. My father said, “Watching the moral decline of our country causes me great concern. I believe the home and marriage is the foundation of our society and must be protected. At 93, I never thought we would have to debate the definition of marriage. The Bible is clear—God’s definition of marriage is between a man and a woman” (see Matthew 19:4–6).

We were thankful that the amendment passed, but it was not without considerable opposition. One pastor told us that he had hesitated to take a public stand on the issue, but when he saw that Billy Graham was speaking out, it gave him the courage to do so as well.

On the day after the vote, President Obama gave an interview in which he stated, firmly and publicly for the first time, that he favors same-sex marriage. It grieves me that our president has now openly defied God’s definition of marriage and advocates a lifestyle the Bible calls sinful. It is a sad day for America. Pray for our country.

At BGEA, we’re committed to preaching the truth as revealed in the Bible, and we proclaim the Gospel that changes hearts and saves souls for eternity. We need your prayers and support as we go to Hungary and the Baltic region of Europe in the next few weeks—and then to the Great Lakes area of North America—to hold evangelistic Crusades.

In Hungary today, less than half the people believe God even exists and only 6 percent attend church. Millions need to hear the Gospel. Pray for me, that the Holy Spirit will enable me to preach clearly “about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance” (Acts 28:31, ESV).

Latvia is a small Baltic nation that suffered under Russian domination for many decades until gaining its freedom in 1990. Two years ago, I preached at Latvia’s first large-scale evangelistic outreach since it gained independence, and there was so much excitement and response to the preaching of the Gospel that they asked us to come back. This Crusade event in June is youth-focused and is the first time Latvian churches have united together specifically to reach youth.

Churches in the neighboring nations of Estonia and Lithuania are also participating, bringing in bus loads of young people. We’ll be going 12 hours strong—from noon to midnight. We will have a live music concert for several hours, then I will get up and preach and give an invitation. After more music, I will preach again and give an invitation. Then there will be some more music, and I will preach and give another invitation. Pray for a great outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit on the Baltics.

From there I will be going straight to Rochester, N.Y., one of several cities around the Great Lakes where we are holding evangelistic outreaches. The first Rock the Lakes event was in Milwaukee last year, and after Rochester this June, we will be going to Green Bay, Buffalo, and then Ottawa, holding a two-day Crusade in each city, with Saturday focusing on the youth and all day Sunday for entire families. The Great Lakes region is home to at least 40 million people, many of whom are without hope and without God.

It is frightening that the majority of young people in the world today know little or nothing about God and His Word and rarely, if ever, attend church. They don’t know that God created them, loves them, and sent His Son to die for their sins. Unless God moves in a mighty way among our youth, this will be a lost generation. I don’t know how much longer we will have—time is short. Please be a part of reaching them with the truth of the Gospel.

Our finances are especially tight right now, and we need your prayers and support to respond to the many opportunities God has given. Will you pray about how God might use you to help make sure as many people as possible hear the Gospel? There is no better investment, no more urgent need.

June 8, 2012. What to do with upcoming events are the thoughts filling your mind. You have heard the saying that “God comes through at two seconds until too late.” It often seems that way, but the truth is: I give you what you need at the time you need it. Sometimes My answer is “no.” But at times you need this. It doesn’t seem good at the time but nevertheless it is. You have often seen later in looking back that what I did was the best. Precious one, I would never do anything to bring you harm. Be at peace now. Think thoughts of thanksgiving. I will never leave you alone.

June 8, 2012. Make the necessary steps to establish and maintain the discipline of keeping your spiritual health and heart in exceptional condition. Your growth and well-being depend on it. What’s in a Hot Dog?
When it comes to summer time we go towards a different way of eating, especially if you live in an area where the climate changes from cold to warm. Our bodies innately need different types of foods during the various seasons of the year. But, there are some foods associated with the summertime that you may want to stay away from.
 
Hot dogs, hamburgers, and firing up the grill go hand in hand with warm weather, baseball season, summertime, and of course the 4th of July.   According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, Americans consume a whopping 20 billion hot dogs in just one year. It’s also estimated by the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council that a surprising 95% of American households serve hot dogs for a meal.  Americans, in 2010, spent a startling $1.6 billion dollars on hot dogs in supermarkets.
 
How Hot Dogs Are Made
There are a few basic steps to making hot dogs, although some of the spices vary and order of steps varies according to where the dogs will be sold.  According to the folks at hot dog manufacturing facilities, where the dogs are sold determines how they taste as people in different regions have different preferences when it comes to their hot dogs.
 
10 Steps to Making a Hot Dog
These are according to the Science Channels television show, “How It’s Made.”
 
1: Trimmings are raked into stainless steel cases. (Trimmings are what’s left over after cutting up steaks and pork chops.)
 
2: The trimmings are next dumped into a chopper where they are chopped.
 
3: Water, salt, corn syrup or sorbitol, food starch and liquid smoke are added.
 
4: All ingredients are blended in a large vat.
 
5: Secret spices are now added. These vary based on where the hot dogs will be sold.
 
6: Sodium nitrate is added for extending shelf life and color enhancement.
 
7: The meat mixture is put through a funnel and comes out the other end looking a lot like what a meat smoothie would resemble.
 
8: The dogs are stuffed into cellulose tubing and cut every 5 ¼ inches.
 
9: The now close to hot dogs are baked.
 
10: The cooked hot dogs are doused in cold, salty water and packaged.
 
What’s in A Hot Dog?
The burning question everyone wants to know is what exactly is in these things we call hot dogs. The subject of many playground jokes is what comes in our hot dogs.
 
According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, hot dogs are made of the following:
 
“All hot dogs are cured and cooked sausages that consist of mainly:
 
– pork
– beef
– chicken and turkey
– a combination of meat and poultry.
 
Meats used in hot dogs come from the muscle of the animal and looks much like what you buy in the grocer’s case. Other ingredients include water, curing agents and spices, such as garlic, salt, sugar, ground mustard, nutmeg, coriander and white pepper.
 
There are two unhealthy ingredients found in hot dogs:
 
Sodium nitrate
Sodium nitrate is a preservative that adds color to the dog turning it from a grayish color to a pinkish as well as extending shelf life. Sodium nitrate has been linked to cancer if it’s consumed heavily in the diet through ingesting certain processed meats including hot dogs.
 
MSG
You probably know of the potential health dangers associated with MSG. It’s used in hot dogs as a flavoring and is labeled as an excitotoxin meaning that it stimulates the sensitive neurons to the point where they die.
 
But that’s not all that’s in hot dogs. If you’re shopping the hot dog case you may notice a few packages that say, ‘variety meats.’ These are the extras you may find in your hot dogs such as liver, heart, and kidneys. The United States Department of Agriculture does require the manufacturers to disclose this information and you’ll find it labeled in one of the following two ways:
 
– Meat by products
– Variety meats
 
Unless for some reason you want to consume this in your hot dog simply look for ‘all meat’ hot dogs. Hot dogs with labels such as ‘all beef’ or ‘all turkey’ will not include any of these unsavory meat by products.
 
Hearts, Livers, and What?
Since 2004 this process has been made illegal in the United States it’s important to avoid mechanically separated meats that used to be included in hot dogs.
 
According to the regulations by the United States Food and Safety Inspection Services, hot dogs can contain no more than 20% mechanically separated meat.
 
Mechanically separated meats (MSM) are linked to mad cow disease and this is why they are now being closely regulated. What happens with MSM is that they are pushed through a sort of sieve with bone and meat attached. The force separates the edible meat from the bone and creates a paste like substance.
 
Healthy Alternatives to Hot Dogs
Consider buying hot dogs that may be a little bit less unhealthy.
 
Check out the organic section of your grocery store or the local health food store. Look for nitrate free hot dogs and ones that are labeled ‘all beef,’ ‘all turkey,’ or a specific kind of meat. Remember that even these hot dogs are high in fat and still may contain some very unhealthy ingredients. The best bet is to find a healthier dog and consume them on only very rare special occasions.
