It’s all about God, It is not about me
Good day to you and may God’s glory, mercy and peace be with you. Inspired from DDC from yesterday, Monday, May 07, 2012, This has been me recently:

Rekindling the Flame of Our Ministry
Read | 2 Timothy 1:6-7
What do you do when you’ve lost your enthusiasm for ministry? Perhaps difficult circumstances have led to discouragement. Or maybe you just keep going, but the Spirit seems absent and no fruit is visible. Paul told Timothy to “kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you” (v. 6), but how is that accomplished? Over the years, God has taught me what to do whenever I sense that my flame is beginning to flicker.
Refill: Ministry is exciting when we’re filled with the Holy Spirit, but everyone springs a leak now and then. Get on your knees before the Lord and ask for a refill. Examine your life, repent of any sins, and submit to His leadership in every area.
Refocus: Nothing dims the flame like fixing your eyes on the problem. Whenever we focus on obstacles, they grow larger. But when we shift our eyes to Christ, He becomes bigger than any problem we face.
Reject: When we’re down, the Devil whispers his lies into our minds: You can’t do this. No one appreciates you. Why not call it quits? We need to recognize all discouraging thoughts as coming from him–and reject them.
Retreat: Turn off the phone, electronics, and entertainment, and get away with the Lord to rekindle your intimate relationship with Him.
After going through all these steps, you will be able to return to ministry with new enthusiasm and commitment. Hard circumstances may remain, but you’ll be equipped to handle them because the Spirit’s flame is burning brightly within you. Rely on Him, and He will empower you for service.
So fitting … From Randal Thom:
A Prayer All Day Helps You Stay!
Paul urges us in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5:17-19 to be joyous, but more important to pray continually. Prayer given to God each day allows you the chance to know HIS answers – sometimes we may not receive an answer to our prayer; but stay at it, God will give an answer to each and every prayer.
Use Prayer to give God thanks, for that too is our responsibility to be grateful in all our days. Sometimes it may seem hard to give thanks for a trying time in our life, but for those who fully trust God, you will know God is walking with you through that dim valley, that dark time.
Each day started in prayer means that you already get to open the channel of communication between God and yourself. Do not be selfish in your prayer life, pray fervently for others, and pray for true guidance in your walk each day. Know that God has a perfect plan for you, a plan to give you hope and a future – pray for those doors to open, that path to be smoothed, that joy for others.
Hallelujah to the Lamb of God. Amen 2/25/09, by Randal James Thom
When is the last time I was on my knees? It has been too long! When I serve I am on my knees, because I need God so much, but on the run, I pray on the run. This is not good enough, because we can become spiritually dry, burned out and uninspired!
I have so many things on my plate, that sometimes, I don’t know where to start, but I did find a place of rest recently! Rest is good! Every now and then we need to simply enjoy the day and the life that God has given to us! But still we have a God given purpose to serve!
When we make life about us, we are open to disappointment and failure, but when we keep our perspective, LIFE IS ABOUT GOD and God has given us LIFE TO LIVE for HIM and TO HIS GLORY ALONE!
It is all about God! It is not about us and this is a good place to find!
Take a look at Paul! He was in chains in prison and STILL he served! Today I felt like a bird in a cage, so I took time to go for a jog with God to clear my head. Paul was in prison and yet he had his JOY, which comes only from God and because of this joy, Paul served to share the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
If Paul can rise up and above his limitations, I believe we all can!
Because it truly is all about God and not about me!
Once in prison, Paul spent his days praising God, preaching to all who would listen, praying for the churches, overseeing his converts through correspondence, and preparing his defenses.
The WORD of GOD:
“Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” 14 When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, “The Lord’s will be done (Acts 21:13).”
Ephesians 6:18-20
New International Version (NIV)
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
So it truly is all about God not about me ! We can’t say “no” to God … or else we would be miserable! Our joy is found in serving God in bringing the good news of the gospel to others so they can see ~ because this is our purpose of being here ~ on earth here and now! Perhaps you ~ Did you know God has given you sufficient talent and faith to serve HIM well? I know that we are blind once, (sometimes we get bogged down once, twice … three times … ) … but the light of Jesus makes us see our knowledge and brings us understanding through the power of the Holy Spirit!
Agreeing with the Word of God:
Philippians 2:4
New International Version (NIV)
4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Final Exhortations
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice (Philippians 4:4)!
Don’t look down at all you can’t do! Instead, look up at all God has done and promises HE will do through you! All we have to do is show up ready to learn! I am so humbled at God’s patience with me right now! God doesn’t give up on me even when I give up on my self! And God has not given up on you either!
Answer your call and say, Yes Lord I am willing and ready to serve! Because, truly it is all about God, not about me. And God loves us so much that somehow, HE makes it feel like it is … at least in part about “me” because of this great joy and peace that comes from the fullness of being in HIS amazing presence …………….That God would have patience with me and take time for me…..Which is also from God for you as much as me.
John 3:16-17 is the greatest gift of knowledge to know! Because all we have to do is believe! And, all we have to do is accept and receive the love of God that will pour into our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit! And if that promise is not enough! God said,
John 3:16-17
New International Version (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Whatever his trials, we see that Paul always sought to advance Christ’s kingdom and God’s glory. He may have been willing to be chained or to die for Christ, but the reality, drawn out as it was for years, had to be hard to bear. Nonetheless, he triumphed, declaring that he had learned to be content whatever his circumstances.
God bless us one and all! May the love and peace of our Lord be with you and may your joy be complete through serving! Our prayers are with you all in the Spirit of God who knows the minds and hearts of all HE has created and continues to love and cherish each and every day! Learn the freedom in confession and live free in the Kingdom of God Today!
A Special thank you to Jim Hofflander and Randal Thom for daily encouragement to serve and be bold for Jesus! Dewey urges us to read and take to heart today-
Psalm 103
New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 103
Of David.
1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children —
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the Lord, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the Lord, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the Lord, my soul.

From Dr. Joe’s Medical Bag
If you live in chronic pain, and a doctor gives such common drugs for it like Flexeril, Celebrex, and Vicodin. But you feel constantly doped up and still living in pain. What else can you do?
I strongly advise you to avoid eating a certain class of foods known to ignite pain in the muscles, joints and nerves: The NIGHTSHADES – tomatoes, white potatoes (not sweet potatoes or yams), potato starch is found in hundreds of medications; eggplant, and peppers (including all those deliciously spicy peppers like cayenne, chili, and habanero). Tabasco sauce, which contains large amounts of heat-causing “capsicum annum,” ranks up there, too. Paprika is a sneaky one, showing up in flavoring mixes or under “added spices” on the label. Other nightshades include goji berries (the latest rage in the antioxidant crowd), ashwagandha, Cape gooseberries, ground cherries, and garden huckleberries.
Cigarettes cause all kinds of terrible cellular damage; they are also a nightshade!
All these all cause pain! If you don’t believe me, have a full-on nightshade “party” and load the salsa on your breakfast omelet, have French fries with lunch, and for dinner, eat eggplant parmesan with some stir-fry peppers and tomatoes. Because all those nightshades are sure to cause a flare-up for you, necessitating non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The flare-up could take 3 hours to 3 days to occur, so connecting the dots is tricky.
NOTE: If you are sensitive to weather changes, this could be a sign of nightshade sensitivity.
So what’s the problem with some our favorite veggies? Well, nightshades contain alkaloids that accumulate and block an enzyme called “cholinesterase” lighting the body’s pain fuse: Muscle spasm, aches, joint pain, tenderness, hip pain, inflammation, and stiff movement. Heartburn too! While symptoms may dissipate in a few days or weeks if there is no more consumption, the problem is that we keep eating nightshades in almost every meal. The body never gets clear of them so it stays ‘on fire’ 24/7 despite all your pain-relievers, massages, hot tubs, supplements, etc.
If you’re healthy with no pains, eat up! But if live in chronic pain, or have rheumatoid arthritis, try completely eliminating nightshades for 3 months. Hang in there because it takes at least a few weeks before the pain even begins to retreat. There are some folks who say goodbye forever to the pain just by avoiding nightshades. Yes, complete pain relief can easily occur if this is your case, it costs nothing and the only downside is an occasional craving. Be sure you read those labels to avoid the nightshades! In the meantime, take your Fish Oil capsules as this will greatly help you as you “withdraw” from the nightshades.
