Abba……….We belong to YOU!………Abba………I belong to YOU…………
Abba, If it’s possible, let this cup of pain pass Me by. But let it be done Your way, not mine.
Father, hallowed be Your name.
Your Kingdom come.
Give us each our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins.
For we ourselves also forgive
everyone who is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation.

Let us pray for Pastor Leonard and his lovely wife Diana and her Mother……..I awoke this morning to this email from Leonard……….
Bro, I hope and pray you are already in bed resting, sleeping. So hopefully you are reading this early AM.
Please pray for Diana. Her Mom has taken a turn for the worse. We were up most of Monday night with her coughing, and the doc is recommending morphine tonight. However, that makes her hallucinate. Each one of these spells just weakens her. Diana is all used up and can’t take much more of this 24/7. We are looking into nursing homes and maybe even take Granny back to her home town of Stilwell to the nursing home there to pass her last days. So prayers requested please for strength and wisdom to make the right decisions.
Sorry I won’t make it in Wed. Counseling calls tonight asking for appts which are stacking up Wed.
Pray, pray pray. The evil one is on the war path all over the world and also here in Edgewood.
Praying for you, Sharon, your family, KKIM.
Stay strong. Don’t give in. Don’t give up and No compromise!
luv ya
We are praying Leonard give Diana a hug from us, we love you guys!

Prayer…
Prayer is the essence of the Spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…..To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through Him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” by Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life
I got a letter in the mail yesterday from Patty Smith! Yes an actual hand written letter! Not an email! I love it!
This is for all of us in Ministry!
Patty said in her letter…………
Do not grow weary in well doing…………
The Kingdom of heaven is not an Academy Award ceremony.
Where two or more are gathered in His name, He is also.
Paul told me this morning the story of an elderly missionary couple who returned to America without advanced notice.
Unbeknownst to them, the President was on their ship.
When the ship docked, there was great fanfare.
At first, they were delighted so many people noticed.
Soon, they realized the fanfare was for the President.
They went to their Hotel room where the husband was dejected that they got so little welcome
when they came home.
The wife said, “Don’t despair Dear! We aren’t HOME yet!”
Our rewards are ahead, and in our hearts and minds we don’t even know it.
God Bless you Patty! I am going to have this letter framed……….It is such an encouraging letter!
This next devotional, by Max Lucado is so timely!
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13”
God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called!
Don’t let Satan convince you otherwise. He’ll try. He’ll tell you God has an IQ requirement or an entry fee. He’ll tell you God employs only specialists and experts. When Satan whispers such lies, dismiss him with this truth: God stampeded the first century society with swaybacks, not thoroughbreds.
Before Jesus came along, the disciples were loading trucks, coaching soccer, and selling Slurpee drinks at the convenience store. Their collars were blue and their hands calloused. There’s no evidence that Jesus chose them because they were smarter or nicer than the guy next door.
What about you? As God calls, he equips. Our maker gives assignments to people. What have you done well? What have you loved to do? Stand at the intersection of your affections and successes and find your uniqueness.
You have one. An uncommon call to an uncommon life.
We must continue to encourage each other, like we do each day on the radio at KKIM, on the CUP daily, in our Church’s and small groups! IN OUR FAMILIES at home!
Just know this my friends, from the bottom of my heart, this I believe, this I know, the LORD is working things in your life you can’t even imagine! I know because HE does it for me all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kind Words are like honey—-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 16:24
“A man who loves you the most is the man who tells you the most truth about yourself.” —Robert Murray M’Cheyne
Let’s check the mailbag…………..
This from my Dear, Dear Friend Annette……..
Dear Dewey,
Congratulations on KKIM’s 40th Celebration! This is a celebration all of us should be proud of and praise God for. KKIM has been a light in New Mexico and has touched so many lives with the word of God that has been shared through so many people.
Dewey, you have been an inspiration and encouragement to so many people through your joy and enthusiasm for the Lord. It is not always easy to run a radio station with all the responsibilities and demands, but you continue to trust the Lord in all you do and the fruit is evident. May Psalms 16:11 be a daily blessing and promise…You will show me the path of life, in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forever more.
Keep up the good work. It is an honor to serve the Lord alongside you in our community.
Your sister in Christ,
Annette

Dewey,
Here is the write up for the website and daily update email.
Another Dear friend……….
Dear Dewey:
I am so sorry I was too ill to attend the 40th Anniversary Celebration of KKIM Radio at Legacy Church last Friday evening. With strong leaders like Congressman Bill Redmond, Pastor Mark Tross, Pastor Steve Smotherman and you leading the celebration, I know the evening was full of information and inspiration.
Just wanted to take a minute to congratulate KKIM on 40 years of service to New Mexico. KKIM’s commitment to Christian values amidst worldly views provides a clear focus for my daily walk. I love listening to Dr. Larry Bates and Chuck Bates, Frank Haley, Pastor Leonard Navarre and you. Having taken a short journey in similar shoes, I know how much work goes into preparing each program. What is so remarkable about KKIM is the consistent delivery of high quality, timely programming.
As my time to listen becomes more limited, I am especially grateful for the comprehensive compilation of local, national and international news on the KKIM News and Views web site. KKIM is a link on my phone (and my computer) that I rely on to stay informed.
Last, I special thanks for a signal that covers so much of New Mexico, especially northern New Mexico. KKIM is truly a beacon of light via radio.
Please extend my congratulations and best wishes to the staff and management of KKIM.
Sincerely,
Janice E. Arnold-Jones
