Why Go To Church
Some Christians have a hard time regularly attending church for a variety of reasons, but with the right pastor and the right place that makes you comfortable, your relationship with God will benefit immensely. Here’s a great story about the importance of church 🙂
A churchgoer wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. I’ve gone for 30 years now,” he wrote, “and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me I can’t remember a single one of them. So I think I’m wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.”
This started a real controversy in the “Letters to the Editor” column, much to the delight of the editor.
It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: “I’ve been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this: They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me those meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!”
When you are DOWN to nothing . . . God is UP to something.
Faith sees the invisible, Believes the incredible and Receives the impossible.
Thank God for our physical and our spiritual nourishment.

Don’t Quit
Posted: 11 Apr 2012 11:01 PM PDT
“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4”
Whatever you do, don’t quit! The Christian race isn’t a jog—it’s a demanding and grueling, sometimes agonizing race.
God never promises to remove us from our struggles. He does promise, however, to change the way we look at them.
The apostle Paul dedicates a paragraph to listing trash bags: trash bags of troubles, problems, sufferings, hunger, nakedness, danger, and violent death. These are the very dumpsters of difficulty we hope to escape. Paul states their value. He said in Romans 8:37, “In all these things we have full victory through God.”
We’d prefer another preposition! We’d opt for “apart from all these things,” or “away from all these things,” or even “without all these things!” But Paul says, “In all these things.”
The solution is not to avoid trouble but to change the way we see our troubles. God can correct your vision!
I have to tell you that Fullnessonline has been such a blessing in my life……….

April 12, 2012. The path is ever upward and onward for the one who seeks to be wise. You will do well to see God’s wisdom about everything. The knowledge and understanding the world has to offer is foolishness to God. Those who seek after it will find disappointment and despair at the possession of their prize. Not so with you. Your quest in life has been to see as I see, do as I do and speak as I speak. Exchanging your life for the life of Jesus and then living it, gives you just about everything. Therefore, surrender your life and then give it away to others in need. This is wisdom that gains for you the whole world.
Proverbs 15:24 (AMP) “The path of the wise leads upward to life, that he may avoid [the gloom] in the depths of Sheol (Hades, the place of the dead).” Ras Robinson

April 12, 2012. You are close to becoming discouraged. There is a reason for this. Many more problems have happened than you planned fpr, and now you are on the verge of being overwhelmed. You knew to expect the unexpected, but much more unexpected happened than you imagined. You didn’t know how to do it all but figured you could handle the problems as they arose. There are a lot of problems, and now some strained relationships. The problems in procedures you can handle. But the relationships are going to be much more of a challenge. Slow yourself down. Meditate on My Word. Ask. Listen. Follow Me, and all will greatly succeed.
Joshua1:8 (NASB) “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Bev Robinson

April 12, 2012. Wait patiently for Me. You are much like a child that wants immediate gratification. All too often many falter because they did not take full consideration the possible consequences that followed. Others have gone down the path of futility because they could not wait any longer to have their senses satisfied. The flesh is weak but the Spirit is willing. Lean on Me when you’re not strong for the stability you earnestly desire. Apply your faith when you have so many thoughts of indecision. Cease your thoughts of me, me, me. When you are weak, direct your thoughts toward the needs of others. Find ways to serve Me with gladness.
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Kevin Robinson

Happiness, The Byproduct Of Righteousness
BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Happiness is something you stumble over on your way to serving Jesus.
When you are serving the Lord Jesus Christ, happiness is the byproduct of righteousness. People who are trying to be happy are focusing their energy at the wrong target. If you will seek after righteousness, then you will be happy.
What you need is to drink of the Spirit.
What you need to feed on the Word of God.
The deepest need of your heart will be met only in Jesus.
ACTION POINT:
Ask the Lord to fill you with His presence, to fulfill the deepest need of your heart in Him and Him alone. Now trust Him to do it.
Here is today’s Medical Bag with Dr. Joe……….
Did anyone ever tell you that eating carrots would save you from wearing glasses? Or that sitting too close to the TV could make you go blind? Their advice may sound rather mixed to you as an adult. But what exactly is good or bad for your eyes? Read on to find out whether any of the offbeat stuff you’ve heard is truly legitimate or the stuff of urban eye-health legends.
Myth: Eating carrots will improve your vision.
The truth: No studies to date show that your eyesight will get sharper just by eating more carrots. Carrots do, however, contain vitamin A – a nutrient your eyes need to function properly – so a deficiency would be bad news for your eyes. Keep the rabbit food on the menu. Just don’t bother with vitamin A supplements, because your body doesn’t need a lot of the stuff, and getting more than you need of the supplement form can be harmful to your health. Vitamin A helps maintain healthy eyes, skin, teeth, and bones. It’s also essential for cell division – which means renewal – and it plays a key role in keeping your immune system strong.
Recommended Amount: How Much Vitamin A You Need
Your body doesn’t need much vitamin A, and too much (in supplement form) can harm your health, so it’s best to get your A the natural way: from plenty of fruit and vegetables. If you take a daily multivitamin, make sure it contains no more than 2,500–3,000 international units (IU) of vitamin A and that it’s in the form of beta carotene (from plants). Your body regulates its supply of plant-based A – also known as provitamin A – by absorbing it slowly and flushing out any excess before it becomes harmful. But other types of A – from animal sources, such as liver and giblets, as well as some supplements – can build up in your system and become toxic. You need to limit these types, called preformed or retinol A. Bottom line: If you stick to fruit and vegetable sources and an appropriate multivitamin, you should be A-OK.
Good Sources of Vitamin A
Eggs, milk, and fortified cereals are good sources of preformed vitamin A. For plant-based provitamin A, the following foods are your best bets. If you’re not taking a multivitamin with A, try to include at least one serving of these foods in your daily mix:
Broccoli
Carrots
Cantaloupe
Mango
Pumpkin and squash
Red bell pepper
Spinach
Sweet potatoes
Myth: Working on a computer is bad for your eyes.
The truth: Computer eyestrain has less to do with computers and more to do with the way you work on them. Most of us forget to blink and take breaks as often as we should while working or reading, so all that time spent staring at the screen can make eyes tired and dry. It might even give you a headache. But it won’t damage your eyes, especially if you treat your eyes right while working. A lot of folks sit at their desks all day staring at a computer screen. The result for many: computer fatigue syndrome. It causes eyestrain, dizziness, headaches, low energy, and neck, back, and shoulder pain. So, if this is you, remember the Three R’s: Working or playing on the computer for more than 3 hours a day increases your odds of the condition: Readjust (your screen, that is – so your eyes look down); Refocus (your eyes – on something far away, once in a while); and Remove (your whole body – from your workstation, now and then). And blink once in a while to help keep your eyes moist.
Myth: Reading in dim light damages your eyes.
The truth: Reading or doing crossword puzzles in lower light won’t hurt your eyes, but it is very likely to tire them out. That’s the extent of the damage. Still, you should try to make things easier on your eyes and work in adequate lighting as much as possible.
Myth: If you wear glasses or contacts, your eyes will become dependent on them, and your vision will get worse.
The truth: Wearing glasses or contact lenses doesn’t weaken your eyesight. It’s things like aging, injury, disease, or genetic factors that make vision worse – not using vision correction.
Myth: Sitting too close to the TV is bad for your eyes.
The truth: Just like when you stare at your computer screen too long, you might get a headache from sitting too close to your TV. But there is no proof that the close distance is damaging. Still, needing to sit closer to the TV might be a sign of nearsightedness, so you may need to have your vision checked.
Myth: Wearing the wrong eyeglasses is bad for your eyes.
The truth: Wearing the wrong prescription (like someone else’s glasses) or not wearing glasses at all won’t harm your eyes. But only wearing your correct prescription will give you optimal vision.
Thank you so much Dr. Joe!
