Dear KKIM Family,
May God be with you and yours always….that is our prayer for you!
Another prayer we have for you is that you have prayer partners around you and your family. People that you can spill your gut’s to. The Lord has shown me that too many of His people do not have this. Too many of you keep things to yourself and let them eat you up. We have many prayer partners around us that we just open up to, that is how the Body of Christ works, nothing held back, nothing in secret. My friend Ernie and I have been in prayer all morning long for each other. Seek and you shall find prayer partners.
At this current time we are bring attacked by satan very much in many ways, at this same time we are seeing many good works in the Ministry, it is an amazing work the Lord is doing and satan is very angry. We should not be surprised by this spiritual warfare. Please keep the Ministry and our family and all those around us in your prayers please.
First of all let me share with you that Jonathan Chan the author of The Harbinger will be with me at 4:25pm on NM News and Views. Lord willing Jonathan will be with me a full hour. You can listen on line at www.mykkim.com
A Note on the Following: I thank my Lord that I have reconnected with Paul Dokken. This man of God helped lead me to Wisconsin to baptize my brother Daryl. Then when Daryl moved to South Dakota, Paul and his lovely wife Rene became such Godly friends with Daryl. Paul and Rene are excellent examples to all of us who not only talk about Jesus but walk in His footsteps! Paul is an airline pilot who also speaks at a Boy’s ranch nearby and is being used by God to bring many of these boys to Jesus Christ! Paul and I were classmates at Windom, Minn. High School and served together as Student managers on the football team. How God brings people back into our lives years later to do His work is just amazing! And how he connects us to encourage and love on each other, WOW WEE! And how about people we have never met!!!, and then we start a Godly friendship and we work together for the cause of Jesus Christ! AMAZING! For God’s Glory Alone! To have this happen you must be open to the Holy Spirit and not miss His call on you!
Paul Dokken gave me the book, Obtainable Destiny by Pastor Steve Hickey, it is an outstanding read! Pastor Hickey is also a member of the South Dakota Legislature and is doing such a mighty work for our Lord in our government! Don’t talk to him about that Pastor’s should not be involved in all aspects of our society!!! He is my kind of Pastor!!!! Please pray for his wife who has breast cancer. Please pray, Pastor Hickey and I have talked and we pray that he soon will be on NM News and Views.
From his book that the Lord wants me to share this day……..
We all should be birthing Jesus into Society all year. We should live in a constant season of Advent. “Advent” means arrival. The church is to be a maternity ward for God’s power rather than just a seasonal show. As it is, there are two seasons when the unchurched come to see our “show”—-Easter and Christmas. Apparently they are not aware there is something to see and experience the rest of the year, perhaps because we are not out “promoting” anything. My friends, we are to bring Jesus to people year round—–the church is to have continual Christmas. We may take the tree down, but we should keep the spirit of Christmas going all year.
There are certain values that seem to come more naturally in society at Christmastime. However, people should easily be able to find those values in the people of God all year! First Timothy 5: 1-16 is not a Christmas text, but it does emphasize three of these “Christmas” virtues—-loving, giving, and serving. You do not hear too many people in our society talk about loving, giving, and serving except between Thanksgiving and Christmas. But Paul says it is to be our business year round. We are to love as Jesus loves, give as Jesus gave, and serve as Jesus served all year long!
This passage sets the tone for not only how to treat people, but also how we relate to them. Look at verses 1-2:
Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
We are to relate to each other as family.
PRAISE GOD for the words of Pastor Hickey this morning!
Father Ken in Mishawaka, Indiana used to say every Christmas, “Oh, I see that my Easter Lillie’s have turned into Christmas Poinsettia’s!’
Let us seek consistency in our faith.
Day 27 in our 40 day Journey
Psalm 38:11 Old Testament Prophecy
Even my friends and loved ones turn away when they see this marked man;
those closest to me are no longer close at all.
Fulfilled in Jesus Luke 23:49
And all who knew Jesus personally, including the group of women who had been with Him from the beginning in Galilee, stood at a distance, watching all of these things unfold.
Knowing that Jesus took all the punishment due us and that we should be receiving all the horrible punishment, do you still distance yourself from Jesus when it’s not convenient or cool?
Let us be in prayer.

March 13, 2012. Spring is dawning. I am seeing buds and young leaves on trees and wildflowers. Where I live, spring is especially wonderful because it brings exquisite beauty to roadsides and hillsides. This is a happy time of year. There is something fresh and delightful in the air. The spring is followed by increasing temperatures and arid winds. God was so good to let me be born in this month on the first day of spring. It is also Easter season. What could be better? I tell you spring is a time for rejoicing. Let your shouts to the Lord ring out. Risk outlandish gusto shouts for your King Jesus. He alone is worthy of such praise.

March 13, 2012. Get your mind on what you need to get done. Your mind has been focused on what another is not doing. The reason your mind drifted to another is you are procrastinating in what you need to do. This is a pit and will keep you from tending to your own matters. There is nothing you can do about what another is not doing. Haven’t you seen that you can’t make them change? I know there are things they need to change but there are also things you need to change. The only thing you can handle is what you need to do. Worrying about another’s actions will stymie your actions.

March 13, 2012. Many have gone before you never having understood the love I had for them. Many feel unworthy to receive My compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance for them. My love is all encompassing, everlasting, and endures the test of time. Take a firm grasp of Me, then take a firm hold of others as well. You have and are continuing to fully understand the depth of all that I am. As you fully grasp Me you will begin to comprehend My unending love for you. Nothing can separate me from you. Again I say, nothing can separate Me from you. My firm hold on you will never cease.
Romans 11:33 (NASB) “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”

HEEL SPURS
The most common cause of heel pain is plantar fasciitis. Folks with plantar fasciitis have a heel spur on the front and bottom of their heel, but heel spurs do not cause the pain. The common name is “heel spur” because it’s easier to pronounce than “plantar fasciitis”. Doctors are able to quickly show you the spur on a radiograph (X-ray) of the side view of the heel.
Plantar fasciitis (pronounced PLAN-tar fashee-EYE-tiss) is an inflammation of the plantar fascia. “Plantar” means the bottom of the foot; “fascia” is a type of connective tissue, and “itis” means “inflammation”.
Heel spurs are soft, bendable deposits of calcium that are the result of tension and inflammation in the plantar fascia attachment to the heel. Heel spurs do not cause pain. They are only the evidence (not proof) that you may have plantar fasciitis.
Surgery is a last resort due to nothing else working to alleviate an extremely painful heel spur. The surgery may result in much more harm than good in up to 50% of patients. Recovery time is about 6 to 10 weeks before walking can be resumed comfortably if at all. Steroid injections into the heel may cause the loss of the fatty tissue pad at the bottom of the heel and bring about a condition this is even more painful than the initial heel spur pain and even worse, it’s irreversible.
The classic sign of plantar fasciitis is heel pain with the first few steps in the morning. If this symptom is not present then the diagnosis of plantar fasciitis has to be checked more carefully. The pain is usually in the front and bottom of the heel, but the definition of “plantar fasciitis” indicates it can be over any portion of the bottom of the foot where the fascia is located. Patients often report that the pain “moves around.” The pain can be mild or debilitating. It can last a few months, become permanent, or come and go every few months or years for the rest of a patient’s life with no obvious explanation. Every year, about 1% to 2.5% of the population seeks help for this condition.
The heel may hurt when it strikes the ground, but plantar fasciitis is not caused by the heel striking the ground. Some folks begin walking on the front of their foot because of heel pain. This may help if they have something other than plantar fasciitis, but if they have plantar fasciitis, walking on the forefoot causes more tension in the plantar fascia (which pulls more on the heel) and it often makes the condition worse. Unfortunately, it can take 12 to 36 hours after harmful activity before the pain increases, so it is not usually obvious what activity is causing an increase in pain.
Causes: In most cases, heel spurs occur in persons over the age of 40 and can result from a number of different reasons. The condition is usually caused by a change or increase in activities, no arch support, lack of flexibility in the calf muscles, being overweight, a sudden injury, using shoes with little cushion on hard surfaces, using shoes that do not easily bend under the ball of the foot, or spending too much time on the feet. It has often been said that those with flat feet or high arches are more likely to get plantar fasciitis (heel spurs), but this is usually not the case. Arthritis, heel bone damage (“stress fracture”), loss of natural tissue for cushioning under the heel (“fat pad atrophy”), tarsal tunnel syndrome (the foot’s version of carpal tunnel syndrome), and other conditions can cause similar foot and heel pain. Excess body weight is a major cause of heel pain.
Spurs can begin to form as a result of obesity or sudden weight gain, such as during pregnancy, which can place continuous and excessive weight on the heel of the foot. Other common causes of heel spurs are wearing ill-fitting shoes which fail to properly support the heel and other important areas of the foot. Pronation, which is the abnormal motion and misalignment of the foot, can also contribute to this condition. With excessive pronation, the plantar fascia, which is a bow-like ligament along the bottom of the foot, could be stretched and forced to pull away from the heel bone, contributing to the development of a spur. Other causes of heel spurs may be attributed to gout, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Here are natural treatments that are the most important:
– Stretching the calf muscles several times a day, especially in the morning and after prolonged sitting. Stretching the calf muscles without re-injuring the fascia before getting out of bed in the morning and a few times per day is well-known cure for a lot of folks. Not stretching before walking may cause a re-injury that can take a week to overcome, so consistently stretching before walking is crucial in many cases. But stretching too much can hurt the heel and Achilles tendon. The usual advice is to never stretch a cold muscle, but I believe this advice needs to be mostly ignored and taken as a warning against over-stretching when dealing with plantar fasciitis. Your Chiropractor versed in sports injuries (can also show you how to “tape” the foot for pain relie) or a physical therapist or a personal trainer can show you several different kinds of very effective stretches.
– Ice after activity: Ice is a miracle cure for soft-tissue injuries. Ice is great for desk-jockeys who can’t seem to get rid of their heel pain. Applying ice after activity or injury is crucial. It may be beneficial to apply it up to 5 times a day. The best method of applying ice seems to be freezing a can of beans and applying it for 5 minutes (at first it will feel cold, then “hot”, then “numb”. When it’s numb, remove the ice). It can be reused, it doesn’t melt and get things wet, and the metal transfers cold better than a plastic water bottle. It’s best to keep the injury cool as much as possible for up to 48 hours after the injury, but cooling it for only 5 minutes after the activity provides possibly 50% of the benefit. Apply ice every evening immediately after daily activities. Keeping a recent injury cool reduces internal “micro-bleeding” that can lead to micro-scars (and spur formation) and keeps inflammation down. Applying ice for longer periods of time may cause vasodilation (blood vessels increase in diameter in order to keep the tissue warm) that may speed healing by improving blood flow, but it may also be harmful by increasing inflammation if an injury occurred within the last 2 days. You’ll read or hear from some sources to apply ice for 15 minutes, but that is too long unless there is something like plastic or cloth that is partially insulating the ice from the skin. The tissue should be made cold, but not frozen. If the skin turns blue, it has been applied for too long. Some effort should be made to enjoy the ritual of applying ice so that you’re not discouraged from doing it.
– Rest: too much reduced activity can lead to atrophy which may be the cause of some cases. It takes 12 to 36 hours for many soft-tissue injuries to reach their maximum soreness, so it’s often difficult to know when you’re overdoing it or which particular activity (like squatting or climbing stairs) caused the pain to increase again.
– Arch Support (especially if you have flat feet) from a Chiropractor who can fit you for special orthotics or a Podiatrist can, too. Be sure and select well-made, rubber-heeled shoes; these are better for the feet than leather. Go for comfort and NOT for looks. Jogging shoes can be very comfortable. Adding heel cushions to your footwear helps to relieve pain.
– Losing weight: Overweight women are 6 times more likely than overweight men to get plantar fasciitis. This is probably because fat deposits lower on the body in women than in men. This lowers the center of gravity which will cause excess tension in the plantar fasciitis if there is not also greater flexibility in the calf muscles.
– Swimming is one of the few safe alternative exercises as is bicycling.
– Supplementation: use Fish Oil capsules because the omega 3’s will fight the inflammation that’s going on in the body because of the heel spur. Whatever the label says double the dosage! Take two capsules in the AM and two in the PM. Your Chiropractor can advise you to take Betaine hydrochloride which will help for the proper calcium uptake (don’t use if you have a history of ulcers) and a proteolytic enzyme.
– Nutrition: do not eat oranges or any citrus fruits, no alcohol, coffee, and sugar as these inhibit the healing process and upset the body’s mineral balance.
Despite the claims of various product manufacturers, there is no cure-all. Different treatments help different people. Patients need to be active in their treatment. Experimenting with several different treatments is often necessary before finding those that help. As in exercising and working out, actively finding a way to enjoy the daily routine that is beneficial to your feet is crucial for continued improvement. Applying ice, stretching, and special taping are not really enjoyable, and it’s not always obvious that they’re helping. The pain usually increases gradually over weeks or months before help is sought, and improvement is usually just as slow.
Setbacks are the norm in dealing with plantar fasciitis, and simply preventing the daily minor injuries is just as important as preventing the less frequent big injuries. A portion of a patient’s lifestyle (excessive running or standing, over-eating, inactivity, or inflexible shoes) has often caused the pain, and it is that portion of the lifestyle that has to change. Desk jobs are unnatural and a very recent development, so they are probably a major cause by way of atrophy (desk jobs prevent the feet and legs from being naturally flexible and strong). Frequent stretching before walking should be emphasized for those with desk jobs.

Thank you Dr. Joe! You are such a blessing!
Another Blessing is Pastor Bill Ruhl and the Financial News we all need to know…………
Financial Advice You Need to Know:
God has a 10% Plan in place that brings back to Him a portion of the resources He has made available to us. He is so pleased with this plan and sure of its merits to return an over abundance of blessings that He commands us to test Him in what He has said. (Malachi 3:10-12) Since God determined this to be an excellent means to allow us to give back and, in doing so, participate in His Kingdom work, I wondered how this same concept might work to keep our financial households blessed beyond measure. Well, let’s take our budget (noun) and do a little budgeting (verb) and see what we can come up with.
I especially like God’s 10% Plan because the mathematics involved make it easy to budget (verb) since the amounts are easy to calculate. No, really! If you think about it, you just write down your total income for any budget (noun and verb) period, say $1800.00 and move the decimal point “.” one position to the left or $180.00. 10% to God = $180.00 10% to You (savings) = $180.00 So, in this scenario you would adjust your budget (noun) to budget (verb) your “needs” based on $1440 ($1800 – $180 – $180 = $1440).
Your tithe is set aside unto the Lord and an equal tithe portion is set aside for your household. This should be a basic formula for those who desire to live debt free. It was one of my initial financial steps when I discovered the blessing of living according to a budget (noun and verb) based on needs instead of wants. It has allowed me to live abundantly, debt free for 14 years now while increasing my giving and savings every step of the way. The truth is: “He who the Son sets free, is free indeed!”
