Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE Family,
May you be overcome by the Holy Spirit this day!
Please drink this whole CUP it has been brewing for you even before you were up this morning as they morning dew lay on the ground, it comes as a fresh message from the Holy Spirit to you…….please share it with others…….share the CUP……..
Pastor Don Kimbro sent this in……..
The threefold purpose of the Bible is to inform, to inspire faith and to secure obedience. The Holy Scriptures will do us good only as we present an open mind to be taught, a tender heart to believe and a surrendered will to obey. – A.W. TOZER
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Titus 1:16..Oh My! By your actions would one know you are a Christian 24/7? That is our theme today…….
Last night on New Mexico News and Views we talked about what Tozer said. Pastor’s Don Kimbro and Leonard Navarre joined me. I have to say I wish I would have been walking with Jesus like I am now, 40 years ago.
It is now that I am at the point in my life where my steps are no longer my own…..they are the steps of Jesus as I have completely surrounded to HIM and HE carries me. HE guides my every step, every word I speak, every action I take. It takes complete surrender. It takes reading the Word everyday and having it absorb into your heart soul, and mind. Then comes obedience.
You have a Peace and strength like never before….also a sense of security like nothing else, a security that is not of the flesh…or a feeling of self confidence, it is a covering of the Holy Spirit, like the covering of cloth..like a blanket..I love thick blankets that are warm and cozy! That is how I will explain it in the Love of God.
Words and actions come to your mind and mouth and you know they are from the Holy Spirit.
You are asked about this and that…….the answer comes from the Holy Spirit, God’s Messenger, I got asked the other day if I would do something and the person said, “Well Dewey do you think it would be a 30% chance?” And I said very kindly, “I cannot predict that, I will have to pray on it, then give you an answer.” Man wants a quick answer, they are not always available.
Man is in such problems because of quick answers and not seeking the Lord.
When you have a close personal relationship with the Lord you will hear HIM clearly.
Many say they have never heard from the Lord, for that I am very sorry. I will pray with you and talk with you, if you contact me.
Another topic that came out of yesterday was that Men need to be Men. See Postings on my Facebook account. Friend me on facebook so you can get updates during the day.
One of the greatest compliments that a Man can get it that he is a Godly Shepherd of his wife, family, at his work and to those around him.
WOW! Did this receive affirmation from many women! The Lord has shown me that Women are thirsty for men to be leaders! I challenged all men last night on NM News and Views to ask their wife how they are doing as leaders in the family, to the kids, to people around them. GODLY LEADERS, Shepherds…….Guys, ask how you are doing. Men, it is time for us to be GODLY LEADERS! You lead by example! All men need Godly mentor’s and an accountability group!
If I could I would take off weeks and just go read and study……..study the Christian way of life. Two new books I am reading came in the mail yesterday. They are life changers. I love it when people recommend books to me. We must read about the Christian Way of life, we must read my friends. Pastor Don Kimbro suggested the book, Healing Reflections on the Gospel by George Martin and Dr. Joe Fawcett suggested The Christian Atheist by Craig Groeschel. Life changing books, books to help you lead a Christian way of life.
Martin writes these profound word’s……
Sometimes the gospels do not describe the faith of the sick person, but talk about the faith of their friends. When some men brought a paralytic to Jesus, Jesus saw their faith and healed the paralytic in response (Luke 5:17-25) When a centurion came to Jesus and asked that he heal his servant, Jesus marveled at his faith and the servant was healed. (Luke 7:1-10) The gospel says nothing about the faith of the paralytic or the servant
