Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE Family,
I did not think I would be writing to you this day, but the Lord instructed me to do so……
As many of you know it has been a tough week here at the Moede house, with Sharon be diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and Buffy with cancer. We are praying for complete healing! AMEN!
I have been very sad.
Sharon is looking at this in the way I should that this may aid with a complete diagnosis of her autoimmune challenges.
With Buffy, I just want to make her as comfortable as possible, and also praying for a complete healing. We are praying!
My sadness in all this is the pain that Sharon and Buffy have or will have.
My faith in healing remains strong. Sadness is so normal when we love somebody.
I think part of the problem in our World today is that we do not mourn enough, and we do not go to the Lord enough.
It is like many are on automatic pilot.
What the Lord has shown me is that on 9/11 much of America goes through the ritual of remembering 9/11 but what will it mean in the days to come.
It is kind’a like the Church, much of the Church has become just going through the rituals ever Sunday.
We must again, all of us fall deeply in love with Jesus Christ.
All this has been shown to me by the Holy Spirit…….
The Lord led me to an column by Bishop Max Whitfield of the Methodist Church here in New Mexico……
What is essential for a group of people who come together to justify calling themselves a Church, the body of Christ?
Healthy, vital congregations reflect people who are deeply in love with Jesus. When Sharon and I travel New Mexico, we find so many people, so deeply in love with Jesus Christ. It is such a blessing to get out and travel and visit other Church’s, I encourage all to do the same, it is good to visit other Church’s from time to time!
We need to look at the Church as the bride of Christ.
Looking into the eye’s of a bride or groom( I just witnessed that at Steph’s and Pat’s wedding!) as they wait anxiously to see their true love reveals the love we must have for Jesus Christ.
Their eye’s danced with joy!
They are in love and everyone can see it and hear it in their voices.
Do you see it and hear it in your Church and in your home and work place?
I now expect to see people who are deeply in love with Jesus Christ.
It is great to see Pastor Don Kimbro and his lovely wife Dorothy come to the Radio Ranch from time to time to drop off Don’s programs. There is a couple who just celebrated 55 years of marriage who act just like they got married, that shining light of Jesus love is still in their marriage, they act, just like they have fallen in love for the first time.
There is no doubting their love for each other.
You can see it in their eye’s and in their warmth and care for each other.
That is what I pray for when people come together in the name of Jesus Christ!
They love Jesus, they love each other, but perhaps as important they love those in their community with the same passion and concern.
Their concern is not to survive or receive the praise of others, but to serve!
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. Matt 23:11
The Edification Test…….The word edifying is defined as enlightening or uplifting so as to encourage moral improvement.
Paul, in writing to the Romans, summed up the heart of God in the matter:
Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. Romans 14:19
We should make it our aim not to cause another to stumble because of our personal liberty. What we do may even be permissible according to Scriptures. But ask yourself: Does it seek the edification of another or myself?
All things are lawful for me,but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. Let no one seek his own, but each other’s well-being….Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God.
Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but profit of many, that they may be saved.
1 Corinthians 10: 23, 31-33
I encourage you to allow the Holy Spirit to funnel every area of you life through this scripture. Allow Him to show you any hidden motives or agenda that are for your profit and not for the profit of others.
His challenge is for us to live as a servant to all.
Use your liberty in Jesus Christ to set others free, not to assert your won rights. That was one of the guidelines for ministry that Paul wrote, “We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed” 2 Cor. 6:3
This message was brought to me by the Holy Spirit and the Spirit led me to the writings of Bishop Max Whitfield and to John Bevere to help in this message! PRAISE GOD!
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
