May God be with you this day and all days.may the Holy Spirit be with you like never before!
“He knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust” Psalm 103:14
I understand it got down to around 54 degrees in the Windom Minn. area last night!!! WOW! at 4:30 am here in Albuquerque is 75 degrees, and another near 100 degree day in store for us, maybe just a bit cooler this weekend. Fort Smith, Arkansas ended their 100’s streak yesterday at 35 days. Waco, Texas goes for a record of 42 consecutive days of 100 degree plus weather today. Our buddy Ken from the National Weather Service in Albuquerque told me that there is no relief in sight for the drought we are having. I am starting to see lawns burn up and bushes and trees die, it is very sad. Maybe with the prolonged drought and extreme heat the drip irrigation systems are no longer effective. Keep an eye on your trees and bushes, so important for our environment. One town in Texas shut off the water for two days so the city wells could catch up with the demand. This situation of heat and drought is very serious in parts of the World, please pray.
Congrats to Pastor Steve Smothermon and all the folks at Legacy on the opening of their East Side Campus at Wyoming and Montgomery! Meetings the needs of our community! God Bless you all!
Pastor Steve will be with me on NM news and Views today at 4:25, making his usual Wed visit with us.

Pastor Leonard Navarre shares this……
Good morning.
Great stuff from Oswald Chambers this morning. You probably already read it, but it is good.
Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast heard Me.” John 11:41
When the Son of God prays, He has only one consciousness, and that consciousness is of His Father. God always hears the prayers of His Son, and if the Son of God is formed in me the Father will always hear my prayers. I have to see that the Son of God is manifested in my mortal flesh. “Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost,” i.e., the Bethlehem of the Son of God. Is the Son of God getting His chance in me? Is the direct simplicity of the life of God’s Son being worked out exactly as it was worked out in His historic life? When I come in contact with the occurrences of life as an ordinary human being, is the prayer of God’s Eternal Son to His Father being prayed in me? “In that day ye shall ask in My name. . . .” What day? The day when the Holy Ghost has come to me and made me effectually one with my Lord.
Is the Lord Jesus Christ being abundantly satisfied in your life or have you got a spiritual strut on? Never let common sense obtrude and push the Son of God on one side. Common sense is a gift which God gave to human nature; but common sense is not the gift of His Son. Supernatural sense is the gift of His Son; never enthrone common sense. The Son detects the Father; common sense never yet detected the Father and never will. Our ordinary wits never worship God unless they are transfigured by the indwelling Son of God. We have to see that this mortal flesh is kept in perfect subjection to Him and that He works through it moment by moment. Are we living in such human dependence upon Jesus Christ that His life is being manifested moment by moment?”

Healing and prayer……..
Hi again family and friends! I got the results of the MRI on my lower back last Friday and today met with a back specialist to go over the results. I am thankful to report that my prognosis looks good! The MRI confirmed what the XRay had already shown, which was significant narrowing of the disc space in the area I had surgery on in ’97. That sounded pretty scary but the specialist told me that it’s probably been like that since surgery, as they removed disc, and it’s not the area causing my recent trouble. The new info the MRI revealed was that I have arthritis in my lower spine that is causing pain. And finally, the MRI revealed that I have a bulging disc further up my back, in the middle back area. This is a new thing and is what has been causing the numbness in my upper left thigh. It’s considered to be a mild to moderate bulge. So, while there are clearly problem areas in my back, my doctor believes with continued weight loss and physical therapy I can recover and get strong enough to not throw out my back as easily as I do now. Even better, I don’t need surgery or anything invasive to fix the problems. This is exactly what I was hoping and praying for! In a word, I wanted “hope”, and that’s what I was given today after 8 weeks of uncertainty. I still have a ways to go, more weight to lose, an undetermined amount of physical therapy. I still have some pain, numbness, range of motion loss and can’t sit comfortably for long. But I have real hope now that this is coming to an end and I can get better. The Lord Jesus has and is healing me. Thank you again for all your prayers and encouragement. I have truly seen and felt the love of Jesus through you. As always, I’d appreciate your continued prayers as I begin physical therapy and do my part to get better.
Thanks again and God bless you!
Victor
We will, continue to pray for you Victor, for complete healing!

Charles Stanley writes….How Do We Receive The Holy Spirit?
Yesterday, Jim Montoya, Mark Tross, Larry Moss and I were talking about how so many people are afraid of the Holy Spirit. I am sadden by that. My prayer by posting Charles Stanley’s writings on the Holy Spirit is that those of you who want to be fed on the Holy Spirit will receive this and begin a life being filled with the Spirit.
There are many Christians who seem to believe that the Holy Spirit is imparted to them through some type of action taken by an ordained minister
