Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE Family,
May God be with you this day!
From Max Lucado….
“A person is made right with God through faith.” Romans 3:28
Dare you stand before God and ask him to save you because of your suffering or your sacrifice or your tears or your study? . . .
Nor did Paul. It took him decades to discover what he wrote in only one sentence.
“A person is made right with God through faith.” Not through good works, suffering, or study. All those may be the result of salvation but they are not the cause of it.
Diana Navarre had this posted on Facebook, “If you are a Christian, you can expect folks to criticize, (AMEN to that!!!!) but you ought to live so nobody will believe them.” (AMEN AND AMEN TO THAT!!!) by Robin Hart
Good words!
Congrats to all the folks at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood who moved into their new facility this past weekend! They sure needed more room! For God’s Glory Alone!
I pray that you were able to attend a “Response Too” prayer meeting in your area this past Saturday!
God founded the United States of America…….
Ernie Belanger who writes for the Christian Radio Guide and has become such a great friend in our LORD told me this fact……
in 1620, those who signed on to the Mayflower Compact sealed the agreement with these words, “In the name of God, by the grace of God, to the glory of God, and the advancement of Christian Faith.”
Pastor Bill Ruhl Preached on Saturday at “Response Too”, that Christopher Columbus when he discovered America called the people, “People of God,they were so giving!”
Our first President, George Washington said, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without the Bible and God.”
Our 16th President Abraham Lincoln, wrote, “I believe the Bible is the best gift that God has ever given man. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this book. I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go.”
How can people deny that our Founding Fathers and other Leaders of our Country Believed in our Lord, believed HIS Word and God founded this Country?
Too many American’s do not know our own History!
Our 40th President Ronald Reagan, declared, “Within the covers of the Bible are all the answers for all the problems men face. The Bible can touch hearts, order minds, and refresh souls.”
All our Founding Father’s believed that a Republic founded on devotion to God was much stronger than one with no faith at all.
We must read our Bibles, we must live our life through the Bible.
We must be the Salt and Light and occupy until the LORD returns!
Saturday was a Great Day in our LORD as many gathered at different prayer meetings around the Country to pray, fast, and repent. The day was called, “Response Too” called by Gov. Rick Perry who hosted the event in Houston.
I was able to be at Pastor Bill Ruhl’s Church in Albuquerque, on Saturday, I went there after I got off the air and prayed with several others. There was certainly a flow of Prayer and Praise. I did a live report on this event during KKIM’s “Ask The Pastor” program with Pastor’s Mark Tross and Jim Montoya. When I got there to Bill’s Church, I was overcome with the Holy Spirit and was then clothed in so much peace!SO MUCH PEACE IN OUR LORD!!! Both Mark and Jim came to pray also after getting off the air!
Bill described the Day of Prayer like this……
“Response Too” – Seven hours of prayer and praise, in His presence. Now to take His response and put it into action. Fingers are a bit sore from seven hours of guitar, but worth it to be in the flow of Holy Spirit for so many hours. Blessings to those who came and created a harmony of sound before the Lord. Some amazing prayer intercessors out there. As Chuck would say…the Triumphant Reserve was on the march.
Gov. Rick Perry said this at the “Response Too” event in Houston…….
We see fear in the marketplace. We see anger in the halls of government and as a nation, we have forgotten who made us, who protects us, blesses us, and for that we cry out for your forgiveness.”……Gov. Rick Perry
Jose and Miki Vasquez give us this report on the “Response Too” prayer meeting on the State Capitol Steps in Santa Fe…….
August 6, 2011, will be a day remembered, as a prominent public
official called the nation to fast and pray.
It will be the day our nation looked into the Book of Joel and lamented,
the day the nation pleaded for atonement and the day the nation was called to arms.
It was the day of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s call for “The Response: A Call to
Prayer for a Nation in Crisis.” More than 30,000 Americans came
together in Reliant Stadium in Houston for “The Response.”
Governor Perry’s call was heard in New Mexico. From all around the
northern part of the state, our people heard and gathered on the steps
of the Round House, our State Capitol. Our state’s Prayer Coordinator, Pauline Terry,
organized the event, and Pastor Jack
Webb from Destiny Church in Albuquerque provided the leadership. The
shofar was blown and Ms Linda Cobb from KCHF Channel 11 pronounced our
state’s alliance with and prayer for the state of Israel.
Governor Perry’s proclamation was read and Pastor Webb led us in prayer.
We then gathered in smaller groups for our individual prayers. All
kinds of people prayed, from 7 years old to 75 years old. We gathered
again as one body, and our petitions were spoken again for all to hear.
Healing prayers and anointing for a dying sister were part of the
assembly.
(It was noted that a serpent sculpture called “Sun and Moon” that could
represent false gods decorates the entrance to our Capital. The
sculpture was declared powerless in the name of Jesus.)
“God Bless American” was our final, heartfelt anthem. The name of Jesus
was lifted up in New Mexico on the same day as the event in Houston.
Santa Fe will remember the day we also responded and called on the Lord.
Jose and Miki Vasquez
Thank you Jose and Miki for that report.
I would like to hear from you if you attended a “Response Too” event in your area, please let me know. God Bless you!
Let us continue to prayer constantly for our Country….Let us pray that our Government allows God to return, as our Government has kicked God out……

Prayer…
Prayer is the essence of the Spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…..To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through Him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” by Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life
We have this prayer note……
Hi Dewey,
Just wanted to reach out to our wonderful Body of Christ and ask for a little more prayer. Yesterday, I found out that RJ will not be receiving any funds from the insurance company and settlement from the accident. (Keep in mind, he also has been denied Social Security) The State of Connecticut is putting a lien against him for his hospitalization costs. I understand the hospital needs to be reimbursed for their costs (and I’m grateful for all they did), but I guess I’m outraged because, the attorney will get his 33-1/3%. The attorney was demeaning and rude to RJ and his aunt (most likely because RJ’s Dad turned out to be such a scoundrel and there is no money to be had).
The only thing that is getting me through this is knowing that greater things are waiting for us in heaven. My heart is breaking, but I am so thankful that God is still on the throne. Although greedy men seem to be controlling this situation, I know better and God is the only one truly in control.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support…
Leslie Mouser
Let us continue to pray for RJ and Leslie’s whole family. Let us cover this HURT in our prayers to our LORD! HE is bigger than this hurt!!! AMEN! AMEN! IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
I woke up this morning and find this email…….I have never heard from this cousin before! She is looking for my Uncle Burton Moede who lives in Minneapolis. I don’t think she knows that Uncle Joe and Aunt Evey passed on this past winter. Her dad, is my Dad’s brother. Her dad, Bob passed away in July of last year. Oh my, can you feel the pain in Susan? The Lord be with her….I will contact her today
Dear Mr;Rev Dewey,
I am desperately trying to find the whereabouts of Burton Moede, my Daddy’s brother. My Daddy passed away in July 2010 and I have been trying to find my uncle Bur since that time. I have sent mail to my Aunt Evey in Eden Prairie in hopes the missives would be forwarded to Uncle Bur’s current address. But all letters have been returned. Uncle Bur is my Buffalo Brother and his heart is my pillow as expressed by him. I truly need to find his whereabouts because I need to talk to him about my Daddy Robert Moede’; the man I judge all men by. My grief is more than I can bear without contact with someone who loved him as much as I do. Just to talk about what a wonderful man he was. I need this so much in order to put me a please with his passing (7/10/20010). Uncle Bur is my heart link to my Daddy and if you could please ask him to contact me at I would so very much appreciate it. Please feel free to contact me yourself with the whereabouts of my Uncle Bur. I would be so grateful of any communication from the Moede side of my family.
Very truly yours,
Susan Moede Hollers
Let us pray for Susan, please!
Here is a good word from Rick Warren…..
Is Something Missing in Your Life? by Rick Warren |

Do you ever have that feeling that something is missing in your life, but you don’t know what it is? Maybe there’s a longing in your heart, and you feel disconnected from God. |
Have you checked out the write up Ernie Belanger did on KKIM in the Christian Radio Guide? You can read it by clicking on www.mykkim.com For God’s Glory Alone!
