Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE family,
My Dear friends we just got this note from Leslie……..
Hello Dewey and Friends…Sad news…Please continue to pray for Kevin
and his beautiful family…
My best friend, my soul mate, my wife, Karen, went home to be with the
Lord at 2:50p.m. yesterday afternoon, August 3rd, 2011. My daughters,
Rachel and Rebekah, my son (in law) Mark, and I praise God for His
mercy and grace as she went home in peace with no pain following a
long, painful battle with cancer. A celebration of Karen’s life will
be held at Christ the King Anglican Church on 2nd Street between
Montano and Griego on a date and time to be determined. An email
detailing the arrangements with follow. As many, many people have
grown to love Karen, we are unable to reach out to each and every one
of them. We ask for your help in informing those you know who know
Karen that we may have inadvertently excluded from this email. We ask
you all to plan and join us in celebrating the life of a most noble,
beautiful, and Godly woman: Karen Mains. We thank you all for your
prayers and support. Kevin
Let us cover in our prayers, Kevin, Rachel, Rebekah and Mark.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Fathers house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you may be also.
And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
John 14: 1-4
As Don Piper author of 90 Minutes in Heaven says, heaven is a prepared place, are you prepared?
How are you today?
We love you!
How are you dealing with God today…Oh My friends we have a CUP filled today with AWESOME workings of the Holy Spirit…please grab your Bible and Turn to the Book of Joel you are going to need it.
May we grow together in Jesus!
From Max Lucado…..
“He is able . . . to run to the cry of . . . those who are being . . . tested.” Hebrews 2:18 AMP
Jesus was angry enough to purge the temple, hungry enough to eat raw grain, distraught enough to weep in public, fun loving enough to be called a drunkard, winsome enough to attract kids, . . . radical enough to get kicked out of town, responsible enough to care for his mother, tempted enough to know the smell of Satan, and fearful enough to sweat blood . . .
Whatever you are facing, he knows how you feel.
AMEN! PRAISE GOD!!!
I think it is time for Christians in America to purge the temple! Purge our Government!
Let us take time to pray for our Nation on Saturday. Here’s Pastor Bill Ruhl……
“Response Too” Gathering coming up this Saturday, August 6 from 9AM to 4PM, at the
Global Destiny Ministry facility, 10600 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque 87112,
to coincide with the “Response” Gathering being held in Houston, TX.
Let’s gather as many as who “will” together here in Albuquerque for a “Joel Assembly”:
Seven hours to fast, repent, pray, proclaim, declare, worship, praise and stir up
the atmosphere from “our land” of New Mexico!
This will be a time to cry out unto the Lord as intercessors for our nation.
For those in the Santa Fe area Pastor Larry Moss and Rev Judith Nowers are also gathering
intercessors at the Capitol’s Roundhouse (west entrance steps) from 10AM to 12noon to pray.
Where ever you are, take time during the day to go before the Lord in prayer.
Big plans. Big God!
Blessings,
Bill and Monica
Thanks Bill! Gov. Rick Perry called this day based on the Book of Joel……Oh my friends you must read the book of Joel this morning, there is nothing more important than that today! With the panic that is spreading through the United States and Europe about the collapse of the economy, please read Joel today!
The economy has collapsed, BUT GOD HAS NOT AND NEVER WILL!!!!
In The Message Bible, which is a favorite of mine…..this is how Eugene Peterson introduces the Book of Joel……
When disaster strikes, understanding God is at risk. Unexpected illness or death, national catastrophe, personal loss, plague or epidemic, devastation by flood or drought, turn men and women who haven’t given God a thought in years into theologians. Rumor’s fly: “God is absent”…….”God is angry”……”God is playing favorites, and I’m not the favorite…….”God is ineffectual”…..”God is holding a grudge from a long time ago, and now we’re paying for it”….
It is the task of the prophet to stand up at such moments of catastrophe and clarify who God is and how he acts. If the prophet is good—-that is, accurate and true—-the disaster becomes a lever for prying people’s lives loose from their sins and setting them free for God. Joel is one of the good ones: he used a current event in Israel as a text to call his people to an immediate awareness that there wasn’t a day that went by that they weren’t dealing with God. We are always dealing with God.
PRAISE GOD!!! Joel stood up and now people like Gov. Rick Perry, Bill Ruhl, Larry Moss, and Judith Nowers and many more are calling us to pray, repent and fast.
I PRAY TODAY THAT PEOPLE’S LIVES AND OUR GOVERNMENT WILL BE CUT LOOSE FROM SINS AND SETTING THEM FREE FOR GOD!!!!
I PRAY TODAY THAT YOU WILL READ INTO THE BOOK OF JOEL AND THAT YOU WILL BE JOINING US IN PRAYING FOR OUR NATION DURING THESE MOST TROUBLING DAYS
PRAISE GOD!!! The Christian Radio Guide has done a cover story on KKIIM! For God’s Glory Alone. Ernie Belanger wrote the story and his prayer is that many more Christian stations will develop a news dept. like KKIM. You can read the story by simply clicking on this link…….. www.mykkim.com enjoy! FOR GOD’S GLORY ALONE!!
Tera Cory Elness from my hometown in Windom, Minn has her own blog. By the way Shona Neff of KKIM/KARS says she’s pretty sure that her and Tera were at the same Conference, The Proverbs 31 Women Conference a couple of weeks ago in Charlotte, NC!!! WOW! What a small World! Here is Tera’s latest blog……and it’s very timely!
What’s Your Wind?
Peter and the fellas were in the boat. They had been all night. Early in the morning light, they saw him walking toward them on the sea. “It’s a ghost!” they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, “Don’t be afraid guys, it’s Me!” Peter wasn’t convinced, so he asked, “Lord, if it IS you, command ME to come to you on the water.” So he did. Peter got out of that fishing boat and started walkin’ on the water towards Jesus. …….that’s when the wind picked up. When Peter noticed that strong wind, he started shakin’ in his galoshes, began to sink, and cried out “Lord, save me!” Jesus reached out his hand and caught him, exclaiming, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Friends,
What are your Strong Winds?
We all have them……Strong winds of circumstances that cause us to take our eyes off the One who can save us from sinking….
Perhaps it’s the wind of debt? the wind of marital problems? the wind of greed? of jealousy? Perhaps it’s the wind of self-doubt? of fear? Or the wind of anger? of unforgiveness?
Whatever your Strong Wind is right now……..Remember you are not alone. You are within arm’s reach of the Lifesaver. †
Acts 2:21 And Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
Peace <><

Dewey, I wanted to say amen to your Holy Spirit cup.
…and amen; and to compliment your message on marriage:
Rob and I were already married in God’s eyes, before we had the ceremony!
We had the ceremony to be right in God’s eyes and in the eyes of men who look at the law.
We had no other motive, except loving each other forever…and a day.
Be blessed today and continue on in the Lord bringing the truth that God wants us all to know, in order that we can be near him.
Karen
Dewey
Thank you very much! Also thank you for the reminder that when we get dressed each day the most important thing to put on is the Holy Spirit! Sue and I ask each morning to be filled by the Holy Spirit, we view ourselves as crackpots leaking the Holy Spirit each and every day. We need to be refilled each and every day by the Lord.

This is a great Devotional from Rick Warren…….
The Emotional Costs of Sin by Rick Warren |

When Solomon became king of Israel, God told him that he could ask for anything he wanted. Solomon could have asked for riches or power or even immortality, but instead he asked God to give him wisdom. God answered Solomon’s request, and today we have the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon that record the great wisdom Solomon received. |
Thank you for stopping by for a CUP!!!
