Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE Family
Good morning in the Lord! How are you today?
May the Peace and Strength of our LORD be with you and yours…….
Luke 4:8 states…….Get behind Me, Satan!
Please pray over this……You will not settle for small things when you have such a BIG GOD!
For all our friends in Northern New Mexico, Sharon and I will be at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo this Sunday at 10am! I will be delivering the message, The Storms of life! It is taken from a sermon from my Friend Pastor Robert Lewis who delivered the original message after the Tornado in Joplin. Robert lives right near there. I also will be sharing on what the Holy Spirit is showing me at that time! The last time Sharon and I were in Chimayo at the Lighthouse Church was to hear Don Piper, the author of 90 Minutes in Heaven and we had a blast meeting so many friendly people who are so thankful for the KKIM FM radio Ministry! All the folks are so friendly! Please keep this covered in your prayers.
I just talked with Friend Randy Thom and he is going through heart break this morning as his Doggie Paki is missing. I was reunited with Randy in Mpls this year when I was there for Uncle Joe’s Funeral. Randy and I are childhood friends from Windom, Minn. I was so blessed to baptize Randy. I met his beautiful doggie Paki and now she has gone missing in Elk River, Minn. Randy and Paki have been at Randy’s brothers there. Please understand that Randy has been through much, getting out of prison, trying to reestablish his life, trying to get a job, he has been very active in his Church, and Paki has been right there with him through all this. She ran off into a wooded area in the Elk River area. Please join me in praying that Paki returns into the arms of Randy!
Let us now focus on this………let us pray over these word’s…..so many of you are holding back on forgiveness……let go……
Forgiveness: As I forgive, I begin anew………
Healing: I am healthy, whole, and vitally alive……..
Guidance: God guides my way…..
Comfort: God soothes me with a tender touch………
Renewal: The spirit of God infuses me with life and renewal
Harmony: I am an ambassador of peace and harmony in the world….
Inner Peace……..God’s spirit within me is my constant source of peace and serenity….
Divine Order: Divine Order surrounds me and is within me, I am calm and collected….
Words of comfort this morning come in a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ……My prayer this morning for all of us is that we grow closer to Jesus…..closer to Jesus….so we can feel his presence in our lives like never before!!!! That we have no doubt what the LORD is showing and telling us! It is so POWERFUL, like DYNAMITE to have a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST! There is more POWER in that than a nuclear bomb!!!!!! It will be the end of confusion and unrest in your life! AMEN! In the name of JESUS AMEN!
There is not any relationship that is more important to you my friends……than your relationship with Jesus Christ. What are you doing today to grow your relationship with HIM? Ask yourself each day how you and the LORD are getting along. I ask the Lord that everyday, “How am I am doing LORD?” he will answer you…….just listen. PRAISE GOD!
To start off our Friday Marten sent in this FUNNY BONE!……..
How Dry Is It In New Mexico?
A buddy out of Truth or Consequences said he’d killed a mosquito that was carrying a canteen. A man in Clovis said the chicken farmers were giving the chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs. In Elephant Butte Lake, they caught a 20 lb catfish that had ticks on it! But just this week, in Deeming a fire hydrant was seen bribing a dog. It’s so dry in New Mexico that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling, the Methodists are using wet-wipes, the Presbyterians are giving out rain-checks, and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water. |
Yes, It is still so dry here in New Mexico, we had a 5 minute downpour here the other day but nothing since. We continue to pray for rain.
One more funny bone….For you folks who get text messages from your kids…..they have developed their own language through texting……I have to ask them sometimes what they mean…I get asked when I use LOL, what does that mean? Lot’s of Laugh’s is what it means to me or Laughing out Loud! ….for us older folks Shone Neff came up with this……
TEXTING CODES FOR OLDER FOLK: ATD -at the doctor. BFF -best friend fell. BTW -bring the wheelchair . BYOT -bring your own teeth. FWIW -forgot where I was. GGPBL -Ota go, pacemaker battery low. GHA -got heartburn again. IMHO -is my hearing aid on? LMDO -laughing my dentures out. OMMR -on my massage recliner. ROFLACGU -rolling on floor laughing and can’t get up. TTYL -talk to you louder!
Thanks for sharing Shona!!!! By the way Shona and her husband Warren gave me a polo shirt from the Pentagon. It has the logo and the word’s of the Pentagon on it and I was asked by someone last week, if I have the authority to wear it!!!! LOL! LOL!
I want to share with you that Ernie Belanger Editor of the Christian Radio Guide called me yesterday and told me that they wanted to make KKIM Radio Ministry their cover story for their August issue!!!! For God’s Glory Alone! It is right to BOAST IN THE LORD! PRAISE GOD! Ernie wants to focus on our News Dept, giving the news through a Biblical lens. Please keep this in your prayers and pray that this article may encourage other Christian Broadcasters to develop a news dept and bring forth the news that CHRISTIANS NEED TO KNOW!!!! Chuck Bates Head of IRN/USA radio news had me on his program yesterday, IRN/USA’s News and Views on the air at 11 am to 1pm on KKIM/KARS and rebroadcast nightly at 10pm on KKIM, talking about our call for Gary King and Darren White to resign. Chuck stated that it is so important for Christian Radio stations to stand up and report the news! Most don’t even have a news dept!!!! The LORD has blessed us with a Dozen or more Pastors and Friends that act as our news dept. along with myself and Hall-of-farmer Frank Haley. Pastor Paul Holt runs the web site www.newmexiconewsandviews.com and that is fast becoming the web site for news and information for Christians. We also have our partnership with Pastor Ray Franks at KAZQ and bring the news on Ch 32 during the program INSIGHT! We PRAISE GOD for all the Pastor’s and all the lay people HE has brought together to help the Ministry of KKIM/KARS/SHINE! For GOD’s GLORY ALONE!
We covet your prayers….oh my friends, please keep us in our prayers……The Ministry is coming up on 40 years of service to our LORD and New Mexico and Southern Colorado…now the World with our streaming audio at www.mykkim.com …..The LORD has blessed us so much….so much……We give thanks to our LORD! Many our praying for more BOLDNESS for us in these dark days…..we receive those prayers in the name of JESUS CHRIST!

Loved by a Faithful God
“I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ. . . .”
Philippines 3:8
Philippines 3:8
Peer through the small window in the wall of the Roman jail. See the man in chains? The aging fellow with the stooped shoulders and hawkish nose? That’s Paul, the imprisoned apostle. His chains never come off. The guards never leave. And he’s probably wondering if he’ll ever get out. . . .
By the time we find Paul in his cell, he has been beaten, lied about, storm tossed, rejected, and neglected.
Ah, but at least he has the church. At least he can take comfort in the thought of the unified Roman congregation he helped strengthen, right? Hardly. The Roman church is in trouble. . . . Power-hungry preachers occupy the parsonage. You expect such antics out of nonbelievers, but Christians preaching for personal gain? Paul is facing Prozac-level problems. . . .
And who knows what Emperor Nero will do? He feeds disciples to the Colosseum lions for lunch. Does Paul have any guarantee the same won’t happen to him? . . . Paul is not naive. He knows the only thing between him and death is a nod from moody Nero.
Paul has every reason to be stressed out. . . .
But he isn’t. Rather than count the bricks of his prison, he plants a garden within it. He itemizes, not the mistreatments of people, but the faithfulness of God.
“I want you to know, brethren” (Phil. 1:12) “that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel” (1:12 NIV). He may appear to be bumped off track, but he is actually right on target. Why? One reason. Christ is preached. The mission is being accomplished.
— Every Day Deserves a Chance
Father, earthly stress and struggles remind us of your faithfulness. Help us, Lord, to serve you without grumbling. May we, like the apostle Paul, choose to plant a garden in the bricks of our “prison.” Help plant our thoughts firmly on your faithfulness. All hope comes from you, amen.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
2 Timothy 1:7
Let your heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.
1 Kings 8:61
1 Kings 8:61
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
