Not a message many want to hear right? That is the theme of the CUP today, please read on..the TRUTH is not always the popular message!

Not that I need anything to get me fired up for my Lord but yesterday was exceptional. With the taping of the newscast on Insight which is seen on KAZQ CH 32, and then Pastor Garland Moore on with me at 3:30 on Dewey’s Daily Cup www.deweysdailycup.com and Pastor Steve Smothermon on www.newmexiconewsandviews.com

 

I have to share with you that we are so blessed at the Radio Ranch to be surrounded by God’s Truth.The men and women that God has put on the air here at the Radio Ranch to bring forth the Gospel is just astounding! As I’m running the board (radio talk for the control board) I am soaking in the words of Garland, then Kyle Martin 4pm and 5:30am weekdays, and daily devotional at 7:35am, then Steve. WOW WEE!

 

The big light goes on when we talk about heaven and Hell.

Where will you live forever? In the house of the Lord. If his house is your “forever house,” what does that make this earthly house? You got it! Short term housing. This is not our home.

This explains the homesickness we feel . . . Deep down you know you are not home yet. So be careful not to act like you are.

When did Pastor’s stop preaching on Hell? Garland Moore, Mondays at 3:30, Sundays 9:45pm and 5:05pm, said to many Pastors don’t preach on Hell anymore because it offends People! OFFENDS??!!! Garland stated that it offends God when we do not talk about hell. Garland stated that Jesus talks more about hell in the Bible than he talks about heaven. Hell is full of well intended people.

 

The Church as a whole has become to soft and does not talk about consequences, just excuses or, it will be alright, NO, it will not be alright unless you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savoir!

 

It’s like in our Society, there are no deterrents or consequences to bad behavior anymore, just postponed trial dates, probation or never going to trial, or yes you can still drink and drive after your 20th offense!!!!!!! We have become so soft!

 

The last Preacher to go around the United States and the World Preaching on heaven, Hell and Sin was Billy Graham. Billy never delivered a sermon without Preaching on hell! He also always made an alter call!

 

New Stat out is that just 4%, JUST 4% of High School students in the United States of America are Christian!

 

Why do you think that is?

 

The message they get is not Christian based and they can live the way they want to live in the flesh and no consequences for bad behavior!

 

The World we live in is the result of what WE have done and not done.

 

Pastor’s Steve Smothermon (Weekdays 9am and 8:05pm and Saturdays at 7am)and Garland Moore both put the blame on the Church.

 

For Heaven’s sake I had a man come to be yesterday saying he was going to have to leave his Church. He serves on the board and the head Elder said that they can’t say the Pledge of Allegiance in Church because it is too political!!!!!!! Think of that!!!

 

That is the type of sick thinking that has got us where we are at! There is nothing Political about the Pledge of Allegiance!!! For years and years there was nothing wrong with the Pledge, then all of sudden there is a change in America when we kicked God out, that the Pledge is not Politically correct, well the Church needs to correct itself with God. Steve just simply said that is just dumb!

 

Pastor Steve said the Church MUST get involved in the Political process, not retreat!!!

 

We need more Pastor’s like Garland and Steve, I am thankful to say that all our Preachers and lay people at the Radio Ranch are all solid! Not afraid to speak for God!!!!!!!!!

 

Have you ever heard of Zephaniah?

 

Zephaniah 1: 1-18

 

Zephaniah spoke for God, just as other Old testament prophets had done. This divine message required Zephaniah to possess unique qualifications, for God called him to deliver a message his audience didn’t want to hear. The message wasn’t fun to preach!

 

Nevertheless, Zephaniah communicated judgement upon the house of Judah with great authority. How could he stand strong and deliver his message with passion in the face of entrenched opposition?

 

And how can we follow his example?

 

Make sure you follow the pattern Zephaniah did:

 

Believe in God!

Zephaniah had to trust in God to protect and empower him to communicate the message.

 

Believe in your message!

Zephaniah had to be convinced that this HARD WORD was exactly what the people needed to hear.

 

Believe in your cause!

Zephaniah had to embrace his ultimate cause.

 

Believe in your people!

Zephaniah had to have hope that the people would change and buy into his message.

 

Believe in yourself!

Zephaniah had to be convinced that he was the man to deliver this message.

It’s not always FUN TO PREACH THE TRUTH! I try and do my best everyday…..I wish I could just get on the air and report GOOD NEWS, but the news is not always good, Man’s ways are not always good! I have always been taught over the years is that a TRUE LEADER, Can deliver the bad news, a TRUE LEADER must deliver the GOOD and the BAD!

 

It is very draining Preaching the Truth, I now know why more don’t do it, it is easy to cave in. It takes a toll. That is why I say most days I covet your prayers.

 

 

What has happened to the Church and Our Government, we have few TRUE LEADERS! We have to many that just like to tickle the ears.and we have become a people that just want our ears tickled and don’t Preach Hell to me!

 

My prayer is that more and more will see that this World we live in is the result of kicking God out.
