John Hagee Ministries Weekly Update June 6, 2011 |
Greetings to all of our Salt Covenant Partners and friends across America and around the world.
This past week I was privileged to speak in Montego Bay, Jamaica to a crowd of about 50,000 people who were hungry to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The conditions for this mass gathering were not favorable. There were no seats; therefore, they stood for three hours to hear the Gospel in a muddy soccer field. It was raining! The wind was blowing! Despite the weather, they were determined to hear God’s Word. There was an 8 feet tall chain link fence surrounding the platform. The distance between the platform and the fence was about 50 feet. I walked to the pulpit as the wind began to blow. I looked into the hungry and expectant eyes of thousands of people who had already been standing for more than an hour. Nothing on earth can prevent one from preaching in a moment like this. This day was a day of evangelism and after all the “Decision Cards” had been counted, we found that more than 21,000 people had made their confession to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. May the Lord bless each of them to remain faithful and make their calling and election sure. I want to thank YOU for your financial support that makes it possible for me to leave San Antonio and preach the Gospel to the utter most parts of the earth. No man deserves to hear the Gospel twice until all men have heard it once. Secondly, for all our Texas partners, I had a conference call with Governor Perry this past week while in Jamaica. The Governor is calling ALL TEXANS TO HOUSTON, TEXAS ON AUGUST 6TH FOR A DAY OF FASTING AND PRAYER AT THE RELIANT STADIUM. Every Texan who believes in prayer is invited! We are going to fulfill 2 Chronicles 7:14 and seek the face of God that He may heal our divided nation. America’s only hope is God! I want to encourage every Texan of faith to personally attend this statewide prayer meeting August 6th. |
Wow!

Subject: Update on Chip Lusko
Dear Staff,
Though most of you are on Facebook and have read the updates on Chip, Larissa asked me to send an update via email for those of you who may not be on Facebook.
Chip is doing well, in great spirits with his bride now by his side, and trying to convince Levi to highjack him some espresso. Doctors have confirmed there isn’t any muscle or heart damage. Although Chip is a super healthy lean machine, the cause of the heart attack was due to genetic coronary heart disease & cholesterol. Coronary quadruple bypass surgery is scheduled for Thursday in Miami. It is approximately a two-hour procedure with a 97% success rate. The post-op recovery period in the hospital is four days and the doctor is confident he will have a quick recovery due to Chip being in such great shape.
The word “lucky” has been mentioned to him about ten times from the emergency team, to doctors and interns at the hospital. However, we know its God’s providence in all of this! Chip asked God what he should do when the pain continued to increase and he heard God’s voice say, “Go to the hospital.” Isn’t that just like God to say “Go” and He so faithfully takes care of all the details. Abraham comes to mind- God calls us to unknown places that are not according to our itinerary but if we heed His command, we will reap blessings on the other end.
The Lusko’s feel your prayers and sincerely appreciate your love and encouragement!
Blessings,
jen
Thank you for sharing that wonderful testimony! Chip was listening when God talked to Him………I am so glad that this is shared…..I am so sad when someone tell’s me that they have ever heard from God!
In Becky Tirabassi’s book, which was recommended to me by Pastor Leonard Navarre…….Let God Talk to you………Becky shares that When you hear from HIM, you will never be the same!!!!!!!!!!AMEN to that!!!! I was in the pit of hell and God spoke to me and I have never been the same just like my hero Paul!!!!
God wants to talk to you! he wants a personal relationship with you!
We just heard about our friend Chip Lusko and how he heard from God and acted on those word;s…it saved his life! How many times I wonder has God talked to you and I and we have not been listening?
As you read the following passages, do they inspire you to direct these words toward a living, loving God or to make them your own?
Psalm 138, verse 3 says, “As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength”
Psalm 25, verse 14 says, “The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.”
Psalm 119: 34, 38 says, “Give me understanding…..reassure me of your promise”
Get this my Friends!!!! 150 psalms contain the written conversations of those who knew God talked to them directly!!!!!!!!
This belief is evidenced by the way they poured out their hearts to HIM, as if to say, “Talk to me!”
Let us pour out our hearts and souls to the Lord each day!
God wants to talk with you right now! Listen……..pray….read God’s Word it will absorb into your heart, mind and soul……you will hear God more clearly! The Holy Spirit will come over you like never before!!!!
I KNOW I AM GOING THROUGH IT LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!
Just remember, as Paul tell’s us in 2 Timothy 4…….
For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new. They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths. But as for you, be serious about everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Okay, these times are here! People even in the Church turning away from God.
People wanting the word to read to fit their life style.
We will endure hardship in Preaching the Truth of Jesus Christ, My family has many right now. We have a challenge everyday to do our work!
PRAISE GOD the Ministry is bearing much fruit, For God’s Glory Alone!
But how many Christians are willing to go through hardships to proclaim the truth?????
We are to be the Salt and Light, carrying out the Great Commission…….The Word never changes here at the CUP,because God’s message is always the same. God never changes. People do look for something new thou……..
Yesterday when we read the news story on the Washington Post poll that shows Mitt Romney in a dead heat with Obama, We talked about a Mormon, Romney being President of the United States. Some are to young to remember that Emotions of hate ran high in this Country when John F Kennedy who was Catholic ran for President and was elected. Will this Country elect a Mormon for President? Pastor Paul Holt said last night he is praying for a Christian to become President, I am praying for the same, but know hate. We are just hear to proclaim God’s truth.
Now the Mormon Church has probably the greatest marketing plan since McDonalds!
They are winning many young families to the Mormon Church through TV/Radio/Print.
I have many friends who are Mormons, but Mormons are not Christians, they have the book of Mormon.
Yesterday I was with a dozen people most said Mormon’s are Christians, only 2 knew the difference. See the Book of Mormon, I am not trying to be mean, just present the truth.
To educate yourself, research the Book of Mormon.
Too many people who call themselves Christian’s do not know the word of God……….
Evident by majority telling me yesterday that the Mormon Church is Christian, Biblically based.
What does that really say about the Christian Church?
Why are we seeing the United States of America go down and down?It is because many, many have turned a deaf ear to God!!!!!!
Obama loses bin Laden bounce; Romney on the move among GOP contenders
The public opinion boost President Obama received after the killing of Osama bin Laden has dissipated, and Americans’ disapproval of how he is handling the nation’s economy and the deficit has reached new highs, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The survey portrays a broadly pessimistic mood in the country this spring as higher gasoline prices, sliding home values and a disappointing employment picture have raised fresh concerns about the pace of the economic recovery.
By 2 to 1, Americans say the country is pretty seriously on the wrong track, and nine in 10 continue to rate the economy in negative terms. Nearly six in 10 say the economy has not started to recover, regardless of what official statistics may say, and most of those who say it has improved rate the recovery as weak.
New Post-ABC numbers show Obama leading five of six potential Republican presidential rivals tested in the poll. But he is in a dead heat with former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who formally announced his 2012 candidacy last week, making jobs and the economy the central issues in his campaign.
Among all Americans, Obama and Romney are knotted at 47 percent each, and among registered voters, the former governor is numerically ahead, 49 percent to 46 percent.
Overall, about six in 10 of those surveyed give Obama negative marks on the economy and the deficit. Significantly, nearly half strongly disapprove of his performance in these two crucial areas. Nearly two-thirds of political independents disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy, including — for the first time — a slim majority who do so strongly.
In another indicator of rapidly shifting views on economic issues, 45 percent trust congressional Republicans over the president when it comes to dealing with the economy, an 11-point improvement for the GOP since March. Still, nearly as many, 42 percent, side with Obama on this issue.
The president has sought to point to progress on the economy, particularly in the automobile industry, and to argue that the policies he put in place at the beginning of his term are working. But the combined effects of weak economic indicators and dissatisfaction among the public are adding to the political pressures on the White House as the president’s advisers look toward what could be a difficult 2012 reelection campaign.
Meanwhile, Romney emerges in the new survey as the strongest current or prospective Republican candidate in the 2012 presidential field. Although he is by no means in a secure spot, on virtually every measure, the former governor appears better positioned than any of his rivals.
In contrast, the poll brings more bad news for former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, whose bus tour along the East Coast last week renewed speculation that she might join the race.
Almost two-thirds of all Americans say they “definitely would not” vote for Palin for president. She is predictably unpopular with Democrats and most independents, but the new survey underscores the hurdles she would face if she became a candidate: 42 percent of Republicans say they’ve ruled out supporting her candidacy.
This next story comes from WFRN radio in South Bend/Elkhart Indiana……..From Goshen, Indiana…Goshen College…….what do you think? Does this story bother you like it does me?

I feel this is UnAmerican…an insult to our Country.an insult to those who have given their life for our Freedom!
We covet your prayers! Love to hear from you!
