Please drink this whole CUP……there is plenty here to fill you up, and I hope when you are done, you will have renewed energy in our LORD!
To start off..here is a FUNNY BONE from a friend, and it fit’s the CUP today and the United States…….
Due to recent budget cuts and the cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions and the continued decline of the U.S. economy, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.
Not so funny when you think about it! We will talk about that in our leadership post that is coming up in a bit. Never forget man’s light goes out, but the light of Christ shines for ever and ever!
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24
“Oh God, let me die right rather than letting me live wrong. Keep me Lord from ever hardening down into the state of being just another average Christian.”
Thank you Darlene for those word’s. Darlene is from Mt. Lake, Minn. PRAISE GOD we are having more new folks come here to the CUP from Minnesota and Montana!!!!
I am so FIRED UP for JESUS this morning Darlene and friends, I am going to Preach, Lord Willing, at 11am this morning at the Open Door Church in Los Lunas. That is if I don’t POP before hand!!!!!
As Darlene says, LET US NOT BE AVERAGE CHRISTAINS!!!! LET US BE BOLD FOR JESUS!!!!!!!!!
Oh my friends my heart aches for mankind today all days now………
We must have a heart of a Servant….
So many people hurting……so many people do not know Jesus Christ………
I am seeing life speed up for me……I don’t know about you……..but it sure seems that way to Sharon and I. I am 55, seeing my family pass on to heaven…my hero’s pass onto heaven, just the other day, good ol’ Matt Dillon, James Arness was called home at age 88, hard to find TV programs like Gunsmoke that always had a moral to the story…..you can see by the fact that the TV series started in 1955 and it is still playing on TV as reruns how popular it still is, moral to the story..I don’t even her that term anymore. Check out James Arness goodbye letter to us all at www.jamesarness.com
I am seeing people younger than me losing their jobs………I am an old man in the Radio/TV World……..I have given my life to Radio/TV and the last several years to Ministry……..
I look around me and I see sadness and unawareness……..
Two things the Lord put on my heart this morning was Servanthood and Leadership.
The Heart of a Servant……..
But He that is the greatest among you shall be your servant.
Matt: 23:11
In the Kingdom of God we find…….
The highest place is found as we take the lowly place.
Strength is found as we discover our weakness.
Fullness comes as we empty ourselves.
Life is gained as we lay it down for love’s sake.
Riches are gained as we give them away.
Greatness comes as we carry a towel and a washbasin
Now you belong to him … in order that you might be useful in the service of God. Romans 7:4 (TEV)
When you use your God-given abilities to help others, you are fulfilling your calling.
Regardless of your job or career, you are called to full-time Christian service. A “non-serving Christian” is a contradiction in terms.
The Bible says, “He saved us and called us to be his own people, not because of what we have done, but because of his own purpose” (2 Timothy 1:9 TEV).
Peter adds, “You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you” (1 Peter 2:9 GW).
Growing up, you may have thought that being called by God was something only missionaries, pastors, nuns, and other full-time church workers experienced, but the Bible says every Christian is called to service (Ephesians 4:4 –14; see also Romans 1:6–7; 8:28–30; 1 Corinthians 1:2, 9, 26; 7:17; Philippians 3:14; 1 Peter 2:9; 2 Peter 1:3).
When you use your God-given abilities to help others, you are fulfilling your calling. The Bible says, “Now you belong to him … in order that you might be useful in the service of God” Romans 7:4 TEV).
Leadership………..
God needs leaders here on earth……..
What are you doing to be a leader for Jesus?
I feel we have a lack of Godly leadership here on earth.
We have a lot of people talking about it, complaining about it, but few are doing.
We have become a society of talkers and of no action.
Many see the problems of this day but don’t do anything.
We live in a Depression, something that is not Politically correct to say. We live in a modern day Depression, of economics yes, but more important than that is that we live in a Depression of the LIGHT OF JESUS CHRIST, We my friends are responsible for shining the light of Jesus, like a laser beam, not a little flash light with dull batteries!
I posted a story on facebook yesterday from the Sidney, Montana Herald about the oil boom….many people moving to the area to work……not just young people, but people in their 50’s and 60’s who have lost their job’s and homes.
Why don’t we hear about this from our elected officials?
99% of them are talking nothing noise are not doing anything for the average citizen in this country.
People continue to lose their jobs and homes.
No surprise here, but in Today’s Albuquerque Journal one of the Front page headlines is that younger people are having a tough time finding a job. Our Michael was promised a job coming our of New Mexico State and they had to go back on their word.
Our leaders have not sent one thing out of Washington DC to help us tax payers in how long? They just keep taking and taking and they do nothing for the hurting people of this country except drive it further into the ground.
You have to be like a laser beam…….
What’s the difference between stadium lights and a laser?
Stadium lights illumine an entire football field, turning night into day for cameras and spectators. They can be seen for miles.
But a laser so focuses the power of light that it can slice steel or perform surgery. Anyone who has had laser surgery for their eye’s knows the wonderful effects of when energy is not diffused but intensely focused.
You cannot use a scatter gun approach, a little here and there.
Here is what Peter Drucker says………
Throughout history, it was the super achievers—-and only the super achievers who knew when to say “NO.” They always knew what to reach for. They knew where to place themselves.
Where are the Super Achievers for Jesus?
Where are the Super Achievers for God’s people.
Many don’t even know where to place themselves because they are not with God and cannot hear Him.
The President of the United States sure is not a Super Achiever, he does not know what to, as Druckers says, Super Achievers always knew what to reach for.
There are few Super Achievers in America these day’s in leadership positions in government.
I disdain 99% of these Politicians because they are not SERVING the People of God!
Send me the names of people in Government who you think are Super Achievers!
Problem is we got lost some where along the road…. what do you think? 50% of America has heard of Gen/President Dwight Eisenhower? How many Americans do you think have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
Really, and this also is not Politically correct, It comes down to Spiritual Warfare here in America, maybe 50% see the light and the rest of America is in the dark.
I am here my friends to shine the light of Jesus Christ and not fear the darkness and not be fearful in sharing with you the word’s Jesus Christ gives me.
We need to hit theses issues head on for Jesus and not hide under the covers.
These people in Government need the role Model of Jesus Christ and of people like Gen/President Eisenhower who were placed on this earth by God for such a time as WWII.
Eisenhower told Norman Vincent Peale that his Mother always told him, “Ike you will have to deal with many situations in life and you will just have to deal with the cards you have been dealt.”
Ike said that helped him so much in WWII.
Ol’ Ike focused in like a laser beam, he had to with WWII, despite all the challenges of that war…..Eisenhower’s leadership in all the darkness of that horrible, horrible war…….helped lead us to victory over evil.
Eisenhower was a man of God…..later on he and Billy Graham had a wonderful relationship.
Stephen Ambrose wrote of Eisenhower:
In public, Eisenhower had a remarkable ability to shed his weariness, self pity, and pessimism. He held weekly press conferences and was consistently cheerful in his assessment of the situation. As he explained to Mamie (Ike’s wife, for you younger people) when “pressure mounts and strain increases, everyone begins to show weaknesses in his makeup. (WOW! we are seeing that right before our eye’s in our so called leaders here in America) Ike continues, It is up to the commander to conceal his; above all to conceal doubt, fear and distrust.”
How well he was able to do so was indicated by a member of his staff who wrote at this time. “Eisenhower was a living dynamo of energy,(Godly energy) good humor, amazing memory for details, and amazing courage for the future.”
Oh Lord, send us Godly leaders!!!!
Both Gen/Pres Eisenhower and Billy Graham despite their weariness, and challenges at times, they both were able to communicate hope to America, in a trusting way…..They both communicated with courage in Jesus Christ.
Darkness dictates, Light communicates.
Let me add that Eisenhower had pictures taken immediately of the death camps that Hitler had built to kill the Jewish people. He had his men take pictures of these acts of satan. That helped provide the evidence of the satanic acts of Hitler’s people.
I don’t see many out there who have the courage for the future! Too many are tied up in the moment with NOTHING NOISE, not being a laser beam for Jesus Christ. Not being a Servant.
Has courage been knocked out of the American Vocabulary,as far as our Leadership is concerned? It continues on in our Military, Police and Fire and others, but where is the Courage in Washington D.C. and our State Capitols?
Please join me in praying for Godly leaders with Courage for Jesus here in America! AMEN!
Oh, I just picture Jesus turning over tables at this time in America!
At this time in history we have so many problems…many HUGE problems…… we need to focus in like a laser, not scatter our brains and energy all over the place.
This not only goes for you and I, but for the Church and for our Government.
We can’t run around like chicken with our heads cut off.
Jesus is looking for SERVANTS, not selfish people only concerned with themselves!
Let us be BOLD FOR JESUS! Carrying out the Great Commission and being the Salt and Light of the World! That is what we are called to do, despite the darkness…..we MUST DO IT!
