Dear KKIIM/KARS/SHINE Family,
This morning as I was waiting for blood to be drawn during my physical I met a nice man Dwayne……that is my God Given name that got turned into Dewey.
Dwayne was so polite, he knows Jesus as his Lord and Saviour!!!
I have a heavy heart and tears while typing this to you all…….
He shook my hand! Offered his hand to me and in the other hand he carried his portable oxygen tank.
He has COP, congestive heart failure given a limited time to live, but knows Jesus!
As I was using my crutches and he wanted me to go first.
He again put his hand out to shake mine, (What has happened to the hand shake?) he shook the hand of all the nurses that he came into contact, they all knew Dwayne!
I was so touched by talking to Dwayne, I prayed for him and with him as they took blood from him.
We proclaimed our Love for Jesus!
I was very touched like I am always when I go to the Doctor’s office……..
I pray over the room…….
So many sad faces………
Young and old………
Jesus loves all……..
We must carry out the Great Commission and be Salt and Light!
Today let us all pray for those like Dwayne….who are facing death here on earth…..we all are, even thou we don’t like to face it, or at least most of us……see this mornings earlier post on Death………
And you shall remember all the way
which the LORD your God has led you
in the wilderness these forty years
that HE might humble you, testing you,
to know what was in your heart,
whether you would keep HIS commandments or not.
And HE humbled you and let you be hungry,
and fed you with manna which you did not know,
nor did your fathers know,
that HE might make you understand
that man does not live by bread alone,
but man lives by everything
that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD.
AMEN PRAISE GOD! Deut 8: 2-3
The weakness of hunger which leads to death brings
forth the goodness and power of God who wills life.
Here there is no extortion, no magic, attempt to force God’s will. We merely look with
confidence upon our heavenly Father and through our fasting say gently in our
hearts: “Father, without you I will die; come to my assistance, make haste to help me.”
