The Pharisee saw the woman in Luke 7 as a sinner worthy of judgment, but Jesus saw her as a woman in need of forgiveness. Jesus, knowing what the Pharisee was thinking, told him a story about two men with huge debts that they couldn’t pay (Luke 7:41-42). Yet the moneylender canceled both of their debts. Jesus asked the Pharisee, “Which of them will love him (the moneylender) more?” (Luke 7:42 NIV). The Pharisee said the one with the greater debt. The point is that love and forgiveness go hand-in-hand. Because the Pharisee was counting on his self-righteousness, he couldn’t see his need for forgiveness and that blinded him to compassion, especially for those in great need. The woman, on the other hand, understood the depth of her sin and knew she could only count on God’s great mercy. And she showed her thankfulness through her bold, honest, humble and extravagant worship. Jesus pointed out the difference between these two hearts when he told the Pharisee how his actions differed from the woman’s. The Pharisee did not give Jesus water to wash his feet, yet the woman bathed them with her tears. The Pharisee did not give Jesus a welcoming kiss when he entered, yet the woman could not stop kissing his feet. The Pharisee did offer the customary oil for Jesus’s head, yet the woman poured her best perfume on him. When we understand the depth of God’s love and forgiveness, it deepens our love for him. It also means that we no longer look down on other sinners or think that we are better than anyone else. Read The Way of the Worshiper by Buddy Owens — This book is not about music. Thursday CUP with Dewey KKIM/KARS
Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May God be with you and yours………
In the last letter I received from my Mother Ruth before her passing to Heaven, she wrote in her letter for me to read Job 37 and Psalm 139…….I pray today that you will start your CUP off by reading those verses ……My Mother Ministered to us kids even at her Memorial service at the American Lutheran Church in Windom, Minn, Pastor Zeh cried through all of his message that Mom had him write and deliver, as she and Pastor Zeh had compiled that message from Mom’s hospital bed, Mom had Pastor Zeh direct the message to us kid’s, based on Psalm 139.
I am so thankful for the Godly legacy I have been given! From my grandparents, to Mom and Dad to Uncle and Aunts……That is one reason I am on FIRE for our LORD to give other’s the love of JESUS I have been given!
I am sitting here this morning crying tears of JOY!
I see more clearly in my life the everyday working’s of Jesus!
Oswald Chambers said something like this…..”What you are doing today may be the result of prayers said years ago for you!”
I guess since Uncle Joe passed on I think of all the prayers he said for me and my family and the Radio Ranch. Here is Uncle Joe in Mpls praying for KKIM., he prayed for us all everyday!
Also Joe is the main person who stood by me during the greatest trails of my life…….he kept me lifted up in prayer and he would talk to me and not judge me.
I was telling Pastor Paul Holt that I do not use the term death anymore….as Paul’s family is mourning the loss of Elaine, his sister-in-law,like Uncle Joe, have passed on to heaven from earth..it is a passing……..a passing to Eternal life with our FATHER!
I am thinking this morning of all the prayers you all have said for son Lars, especially Pastor Leonard who took an interest in Lars months ago. I got a call from him last night after I went to bed, it was on my voice mail, he said, “Dad I am sorry I could not get back to you today but I am studying so hard, and I am really doing well.” This young man is really applying himself, the most he has in his life, his life has changed through all your prayers….so I see first hand the results of prayer……..
A Couple years ago and the NRB a Michael DeLeon of Family Life Radio (Dennis Rainy’s Ministry) came up to me and said he has been praying for me for years……..the last time I had seen him was as an intern at WFRN over 20 years ago…….but everyday he has been praying for me.
I know you have others praying for you, that you have never met! That is what this Ministry is all about, brining others together in the Ministry of Jesus Christ to pray for each other! For God’s Glory Alone! Through the CUP, KKIM/KARS you have a HUGE family!
I see first hand the result in prayer, during this tough economic times, the Lord is seeing us through as long as we keep the Ministry first.
I also got such a nice note from Dena of Thru The Bible, Dr. J Vernon Mcgee Ministry, She is always so kind, she is one that helps build up the love of Jesus.
We got a nice call yesterday from a listener on air stating that KKIM/KARS was the best place for news and weather information….PRAISE GOD! Just think we are the only radio station in New Mexico that does an hour of news each weekday……Christian news and talk……We give thanks to Our LORD for the use of these airwaves!
Yesterday was so powerful on KKIM/KARS…….on my 3:30 program Dewey’s Daily Cup I had Pastor Bill Ruhl of Global Destiny Ministry with me. Bill and I talked about what we posted on yesterday, Archbishop Sheehan and getting unmarried couples to stop living together in sin and get married. Bill and I expressed such thankfulness to the Archbishop for his Biblical stance and we thanked the Lord for brining His people together for Biblical values. We see the Lord brining Catholics, Evangelicals, and Protestants together in New Mexico. The Biblical Worldview Conference we had in New Mexico was an AWESOME start. Now on April 14th at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley in Belen we will have a follow up, a statewide Pastor’s meeting of all denominations.
Pastor’s in New Mexico are not alone. There is a growing movement across the United States of brining Pastor’s of all denominations and races together to defend life, marriage, and liberty.
PRAISE GOD!!! REVIVAL of the Church is underway!
Pastor Bill Ruhl also talked about giving………so many people struggle with giving to their Church or Radio/TV Ministry programs. By the time Bill got done I was in tears! Bill makes me cry! Anyhow, we will have Bill on again Friday at 4:30 on NM News and Views to talk about giving……you gotta hear it! .many ministries are struggling right now..many individuals are struggling and cannot afford to give…..tune in, I know you will be blessed. Bill gave this presentation years ago on Son Broadcasting, Blackie Gonzales had him do it and it was received so well.
By the way a repeat of Dewey’s Daily Cup with Pastor Bill airs Saturday at 5:05pm and Sunday at 6:15am and 5:20pm.
We were so blessed to give away Chris Tomlin Concert tickets yesterday afternoon on KKIM/KARS, if we would have had 100 pair we would have given them all away! I thank Eddie of our Sister station “The Shine” for giving us the tickets! PRAISE GOD!

Brennan Manning writes…….Our indecision creates more problems than it solves. Indecision means we stop growing for an indeterminate length of time; we get stuck. With the paralysis of analysis, the human spirit begins to shrivel.
I see too many afflicted with indecision! I see too many saying to me….”Yes, I will be in Church this Sunday…….they never come..or “I want to be baptized…..” They never come……..Or……. “I want to get married before God”…..I say we will need to go through pre-marital counseling, they never call back…..many want God in their marriage on their terms! Too many want God on their terms…..Too many say I am going to do this or that…and then do nothing and like a turtle go back into their shell. Sometimes it is depression, past hurts, or mental illness that all goes into this. In carrying out the Great Commission we are to reach all…..in the Love of Jesus…..so we keep reaching out…….keep reaching out……do not be discouraged…….God is still in the miracle making business! Pray your way through your reaching out to others, do not PLOW your way through and create hurt! But realize souls are at risk…..the human spirit begins to shrivel in indecision.
