Dear Family In Jesus Christ,
May the Lord be with you and yours!
Let us pray on this please……..
Hi Dewey:
Just spoke with a friend from church. Kristin had cancer surgery this week and initially doctors thought they had gotten it all, but will be going in for more surgery on Monday. Please pray for her and husband Steve as they deal with this.
Blessings to all the Cup Readers,
Paul
Thank you Paul, Kristen is the wife of Pastor Kevin Hickey of Sioux Falls, SD. Paul introduced me to the writings of pastor Kevin by giving me his book, “Obtainable Destiny: Molding and Mobilizing today’s emerging apostolic people.” Pastor Kevin is also a member of the South Dakota Legislature and fights for Godly Legislation. Please keep Kristin in your prayers, Kevin and the kid’s! We pray for complete healing in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!
I also had the opportunity awhile back to talk with Pastor Kevin! It was a blessing!
Baby Eden at 7 months and 2 pounds 11 ounces is doing great!Just got that report. PRAISE GOD!!!!
Yesterday I went to St. Johns health care and prayed over Friend Ruby Wells anointed her with oil and read scripture to her. Ruby is in hospice care. When I got done reading scripture to her she tried to talk to me. Sharon and I love her so much. I also prayed for other residents…….One lady asked me to take her home………broke my heart. I had a guy tell me years ago that we all should visit a Hospital, Nursing Home, or a Grave yard at least once a month. Yes, it does help put things in perspective. When that lady was crying asking me to take her to her house, it reminded me of Sharon’s Dad when he had Alzheimer’s and wanted to go to his own home and my Grandpa Caraway when he had to go to the nursing home, he always wanted to be at his home, just like us all. This reminds me that our true home is with Jesus here on earth and in heaven, let us keep focused on that and spread the love of Jesus Christ. I met Jane there, what a Godly smile and wonderful lady she is, we talked and I prayed with her and anointed her with oil. On the way out I met Pete, who asked me who I was,.I told him and he said I need to talk to a Pastor. We talked for a long time. Pete just lost his wife in March, they lived together there at St. Johns. he misses her so. he is a Vietnam Vet and has lost one of his legs due to Diabetes. His wife’s name was Ruth, just like my Mom..that gave us some connection and we had a good talk and prayer time………we hugged and cried and hugged more…….he asked me if I would come back to see him, he has no children or family….I will be back. This is what God’s Glory Alone Ministries is all about! Meeting people where they are at…….one person and at time…….
This morning the Lord has me turn my Bible to Romans 1…Oh My I shook as I typed this……..this is just how I feel as Sharon and I embark on this new venture…………..
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because the report of your faith is made known to all the world and is:commended everywhere. For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my whole Spirit rendering priestly and spiritual service in Preaching the the Gospel and telling the good news of His Son, how incessantly I always mention you when at my prayers.
I keep pleading that somehow by God’s will I may now at last prosper and come to you. For I am yearning to see you, and that I may Impart and share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen and establish you;
That is, that we may be mutually strengthened and encouraged and comforted by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.
I want you to know that many times I have planned and intended to come to you, though thus far I have been hindered and prevented, in order that I may have some fruit (some results from my labors) among you, as I have been among the rest of the Gentiles.
AMEN!
There are many I want to travel and see………as we embark in our new Ministry For God’s Glory Alone, many have written letters to us, knowing we need your prayers and support…………
Here is a note from Ed Moore………..
I have had the pleasure of knowing Dewey since the mid-1980s. He started as a salesman with our radio team at WFRN and then as sales manager, a span of many years. After moving his family to Albuquerque he continued helping us as consultant for some time. It was my privilege to pray for and encourage Dewey over the years. It has been wonderful to see him grow in his relationship with Christ and in his fervor for effective personal ministry with spiritual fruit.
It appears to me that “For God’s Glory Alone” is the ministry that God has laid on the heart of Dewey Moede. I have seen that when Dewey starts a new challenge he gives it his full focus and with the strength of the Lord he will move forward. This is a ministry that I feel is worthy of our financial investment. I’m convinced that the Lord will bring forth fruit as He leads and empowers.
I believe God is calling Dewey to step out in faith in this ministry. He has made himself available to the Lord. Dewey and team are engaged in the startup activities. This will be a Kingdom building thrust. As this ministry will belong to God may all involved team together to reach many for His Kingdom growth.
Dewey and team will need the prayers of others. We need to pray that the Lord truly is at the helm and that all will let God direct each decision and action and that many, many will see His light and come to know Christ personally as the Way, the Truth and the Life for all eternity.
It will take a team for prayer, encouragement and financial support. I pray that many will respond to the touch of the Holy Spirit to be part of this team. Dewey is a man of God with integrity, honesty and openness. I would fully expect this ministry to be the same.
I will continue to pray for Dewey daily, as this has been my practice for years.

Thank you Ed. many letters like Ed’s are coming in as we start this God Led journey.
Please pray for us as we go off on this new venture the Lord has put before us.
I keep getting asked about a Mission Statement, I can only do what the Lord has me do and say. I am led by the Holy Spirit in everything I do.
It seems to me, that the people are really not interested in the Mission Statement, they really just want to know if you are sincere in our Lord in what you are doing.
I share with you my friends that I am very sincere with the work the Lord has assigned me to do.
My life’s verse is:
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24
I am here to serve. For almost 7 years I have poured my heart into the KKIM Radio Ministry. Now the Lord is moving me out to serve more people while still having an association with KKIM. Thank You Lord!
This all started in Windom, Minnesota back in 1974 when my Grandma Caraway said I would be a Preacher.
Having Sunday School Teachers like Irene Hartberg and Orville Fredrickson sure helped build a Christian Foundation under me.
More important than that was my Mom, Dad, Grandpa and Grandma Caraway and Uncle Joe Moede who all instilled me the Christian way of life.
My wife Sharon, a strong women of God is along side me to solidify what the Lord has us doing.
It took a long time……at 53 years of age I became a Preacher.
Almost 7 years ago I became the Shepherd of KKIM , which has been a Radio Ministry for over 40 years.
I have met many of God’s greatest people during this time who have taught me much!
It has been like 7 years of seminary while looking after KKIM. Hearing from Preachers like Charles Stanley, Chuck Swindoll etc.and all our local Pastors has taught me much!
Working with national and Local Ministries has taught me much.
Being in Christian Radio and TV now for almost 20 of my 35 years of Radio and TV has been so AWESOME!
As I have traveled New Mexico Preaching and when given the opportunity to travel outside New Mexico I see such a great need for one on one Preaching and Teaching, meeting people where they are at. There is a deep hunger for the God’s TRUTH!
When I get phone call’s people call for help, prayer, advise.
Many do not have a Church. About 50% of those that listen to Christian Radio or watch Christian TV do not have a home Church. They do not have a Pastor.
The Lord has led me to get out of my Boat and meet the needs of these People.
The Lord has me Preaching his truth in Church’s and groups in New Mexico, bringing a message of Truth and healing!
People love to hear the Word of God, they loved to be prayed for one on one and love to be anointed with oil. Oh my!
I am also striving to meet the needs of God’s people on Radio and TV with our programs and The Daily Cup which I have been doing for 14 years. Meeting the needs of people. Showing them the Love of Jesus Christ.
Being available to people.
I take calls from people who need help with different resources and they have a home Church but no relationship.
We encourage people to have a strong relationship with their Church and Pastor.
If they do not have a Church we encourage them to pray for the Lord to lead them to a home Church.
We are not a fancy dancy Ministry, we get down into the dirt and deal with people one on one meeting them where they are at in life, doing individual counseling.
We make Hospital visits to people who have come in from rural New Mexico and their Pastor cannot make it.
We counsel people who have lost a dear one, we do pre-marital counseling. We also do marriage counseling, Weddings, baptisms, and funerals.
We are here to serve our Lord and His people, For God’s Glory Alone.
Please pray about me coming to your Church or group to Preach.I still call it Preaching!
So the Lord has moved me and Sharon out into His land to roam free to Spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
One thing I know first hand is how tough it is for Ministries these day in this economy. But we need your help in our new venture. We are completely funded by friends like you. Would you please pray about donating to this Ministry? There is a donate button on this web site if the Lord leads you to.

August 27, 2012. Come ride with Me on the clouds of glory. Run with Me through the wheat fields of white harvest. Draw water from My wellspring of life like an ever-flowing artesian well. Sit with Me at My table of plenty and enjoy the fruits of my love and bounty. Lift up your heart in thanksgiving from the fullness of God in your human body. You lack in no thing because you are under My banner of love, my rule and authority. This is your reward – you shall live this life to the fullest while having much left over for the less fortunate. Let us commune together in a mighty feast of love everlasting. Subscribe to “What the Lord Is Saying Today” August 27, 2012. I want you to be who I have made you to be. You are comparing yourself with other people and that will never do you good. You will never be like someone else. Be who you are. I have made you just like I want you. You are one of a kind. There is not another person just like you. Soak up how much I love you. You have a specific call to love other people and, if you don’t love yourself, you will spend so much time trying to get love you won’t have the time or take the time to be loving to others. Love Me yourself and others. Mark 12:29-31 (NKJV) “Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Bev Robinson Scroll down to see “Photo of the Day” from our ministry to children in the Philippines. August 27, 2012. As a man, sometimes it’s difficult to wrap my mind around being the bride of Christ even though I can easily see Jesus as the bridegroom. I’ve been the groom and have watched other men in that role. The Lord says, “Can you receive who I have made you to be? Begin to prepare yourself as the bride of Christ. Can you see how beautiful you are to me and how much I love you? Humble yourselves and allow My revelation to enter deep within your heart. As the bridegroom, I have laid down my life for you. I am the bridegroom and I am coming again for My bride.” Revelation 19:7-9 (NASB) “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready. It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” Kevin Robinson |
The Story of the Barber
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: “I don’t believe that God exists.”
“Why do you say that?” asked the customer.
“Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.”
The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: “You know what? Barbers do not exist.”
“How can you say that?” asked the surprised barber. “I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!”
“No!” the customer exclaimed. “Barbers don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.”
“Ah, but barbers DO exist!”, answered the barber. “What happens, is, people do not come to me.”
“Exactly!” – affirmed the customer. “That’s the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don’t go to Him and do not look for Him. That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in the world.”

Back to School: Tips to Prevent Back Pain from Kids’ Backpacks
A review of the medical literature on back pain and backpacks shows inconsistent recommendations on how to avoid episodes of back pain in children who carry backpacks.
Although there are very few studies and the medical literature does not agree on specific guidelines for backpack safety to avoid back pain, parents can use common sense to reduce the chance that their child or teen will suffer back pain due to carrying a backpack.
Look for backpack design features that help reduce the chance of back pain:
– Lightweight material (canvas as opposed to leather)
– Two padded, wide (2-inches), adjustable shoulder straps on the backpack
– Padded back
– Individualized compartments
– Hip strap, waist belt, or frame to redistribute the weight of the backpack from the shoulders and back to the pelvis
– Wheels so that the backpack can be pulled rather than carried
– Consider using a separate bag for the child’s laptop or other heavier electronic items
– Article continues below
Teach your child how to properly load and wear the backpack to avoid back pain:
– Always use both shoulder straps and wear the backpack on the back rather than over one shoulder
– Pack heaviest objects into the backpack first so they are carried lower and closest to the body
– Fill compartments so that the load is evenly distributed throughout the backpack and items do not shift during movement
– Pack sharp or bulky objects in the backpack so they do not contact the back
– Adjust the straps to fit the backpack snugly to the child’s body, holding the bottom of the backpack 2 inches above the waist and keeping the top just below the base of the skull; do not carry the backpack low near the buttocks
– Lift the backpack by using the leg muscles and keeping it close to the body, not by bending over with arms extended
– Do not lean forward when walking; if this is necessary, there is too much weight in the backpack
Maintain a mindset to watch the weight carried in the backpack to reduce back pain:
– If the child complains of discomfort, reduce the weight in the backpack immediately
– Consider applying a guideline backpack weight limit as a percent of the child’s body weight. The American Physical Therapy Association suggests 15-20%; the American Chiropractic Association advises 5-10%
– Coach your child to carry only those books needed in the backpack, leaving unnecessary items at home and making frequent trips to his/her locker during the day
– Train your child to clean out the backpack at least once a week
– Become a Proactive Parent on the Issue of Backpacks and Back Pain
– Ask your child if they feel any back aches or pain and if they do have a Chiropractor examine them as they are the specialist for this
– Help your child choose the smallest backpack that will meet his/her needs
– Talk to teachers about how to minimize the need for children to transport heavy books back and forth daily in their backpacks; keep one set of books in the classroom for daily work while leaving heavy books at home; make photocopies of homework chapters and assignments that are easily carried
– Attend PTA meetings and discuss any proposal by school administrators to remove lockers or to reduce time between classes making it difficult to store unneeded books and materials
– Finally, there are a number of alternatives to traditional backpacks on the market. These include saddle bags, rollerbags, backpacks with inflatable lumbar support and straps, totally inflatable backpacks, and molded backpacks. Your Chiropractor can suggest the best one for your child.
