During many of Billy Graham’s Crusade’s of the past the people would crowd around Billy’s pulpit until there was no more room………..Invariably the Evangelist stood back…..arms folded, almost as if he were stepping aside for the Holy Spirit. Often he said, “It’s not Billy Graham calling you. The quicker you forget my name, the better. It’s Jesus who is passing by.”
Friday I had an AWESOME day in the Lord………Please let me share…………
Lately I have not been able to leave Dodge (Albuquerque) yes I am talking like ol’ Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke, things just have been so busy………but I wanted to get in the newly painted and lettered KKIM Van and start handing out Voter Guides to folks and the Lord was telling me to go south where Cowboy Clarence lives in Socorro, NM. So I decided Friday was the day no matter what! I stopped in the Belen area first and also had lunch with Al and Krista of KARS Radio, it was a good time! The Lord had put Pastor Jose Luis on my heart to call him and have him come on this trip as a prayer partner……..to pray over people……Jose is the Pastor of the Spanish services for Hieghts Christian Church in Albuquerque, and whenever he prays over me I get such a charge from the Holy Spirit, I have to tell you my friends this man has a gift from God! Anyhow I got so busy that I did not make the call to Jose that the Lord was telling me to! Leave it to the Lord, as I was working on a few things at the KARS office and the front door was open……there was Jose!!! Yes he drove by the station and looked right at me and WOW! He was in Pastor Don Kimbro’s car as they were taking a tour of Belen. Pastor Don and his wife Dorthy and Jose and his wife Artecelli all were in the car. The Lord had told me to bring Jose with me and I didn’t, so he delivered him to me!!! WOW! We then went to the Kimbro’s and toured their new home and then Jose and I struck out for Socorro to meet Cowboy Clarence and hand out more Voter Guides! We stopped in a parking lot in Socorro and set up for a live broadcast. I called Clarence and he and his Dad came right over to meet us and then after our broadcast we made our way to Clarence’s home. The Lord had sent Jose because Clarence and his family not only speak English but they speak Spanish. Jose prayed for the whole family and prayed over Clarence. We then did our live broadcast from their home during New Mexico News and Views and Clarence spoke a few words to the KKIM family. It was a wonderful time in the Lord. Here is a note from Clarence……………
MY NAME IS CLARENCE MONTOYA. I AM A 22 YEAR OLD MAN WHO WAS BORN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY. MY FRIEND DEWEY HAS ASKED ME TO SHARE SOMETHING WIITH EVERYONE WHO READS HIS BLOG. BECAUSE I AM NOT USED TO SHARING FEELING IN WRITING, I HAVE ASKED SOMEONE TO HELP ME EXPRESS THEM.
FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY, THAT LIFE WITH A DISABILITY CAN BE CHALLENGING, NOT JUST IN THE PHYSICAL SENSE BUT ALSO SOCIALLY. AT PRESENT TIME I AM QUITE CONTENT WITH WHO I AM. BUT IT WASN’T ALWAYS THAT WAY. WHEN I WAS YOUNG I USE TO WONDER WHY I COULDN’T RUN, JUMP AND PLAY LIKE ALL THE OTHE KIDS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. BUT AS I HAVE MATURED AND THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF MY FAMILY AND OUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, I HAVE COME TO BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING THAT COMES MY WAY, EVEN MY CEREBRAL PALSY. YOU SEE, CEREBRAL PALSY MIGHT LIMIT MY PHYSICAL ABILITY, BUT IT DOESN’T LIMIT MY ABILIITY TO THINK POSITIVE AND EXPRESS MYSELF. IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT IF WE LOOK AROUND US HARD ENOUGH, WE CAN ALWAYS FIND SOMEONE WHO HAS A GREATER NEED.
I BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS GIVEN EACH AND EVERYONE OF US THE GIFT OF LOVE AND WHEN WE COME TO RECOGNIZE THAT THEN WE IN TURN CAN SHARE THAT GIFT WITH THOSE AROUND US. I TRY TO DO THAT ON A DAILY BASIS WITH MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOR. AT FIRST WE ARE STRANGERS AND THEN WE BECOME FRIENDS. SOME PEOPLE RESPOND WELL AND OTHERS DON’T. BUT THAT’S OKAY. EVEN THE LONELIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD HAS A FRIEND IN JESUS CHRIST, THEY JUST NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT.
YOUR FRIEND IN CHRIST, COWBOY CLARENCE
I thank the Lord for friends like Clarence……….he is a wonderful friend and has lot’s to share with us all from his heart and soul. I thank God for the Radio Ministry of KKIM, the Daily Cup so that HIS people can share and be heard by the world..that HIS good works can be shared with others! I do not take this for granted!
I also thank the Lord for all the friends KKIIM and the Daily Cup have……….all friends in CHRIST! I thank you all for being part of the KKIM/DDC Family! PRAISE GOD!
By the way being from farm country……..Clarence lives as we say back in Minnesota, out in the country, and he lives near a HUGE pumpkin patch!!! It was fun to see the wonderful country side of that area of New Mexico.
We always need a laugh………..right?………Some folks have told me that want more Funny Bones in these times……….Sharon was sent this one……..
>>THIS IS A NONPARTISAN JOKE THAT CAN BE ENJOYED BY BOTH PARTIES!
>>NOT ONLY THAT– it is POLITICALLY CORRECT!!
>>
>>While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit
>>by a truck and dies.
>>
>>His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
>>
>>’Welcome to heaven,’ says St. Peter. ‘Before you settle in, it seems
>>there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these
>>parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.’
>>
>>’No problem, just let me in,’ says the man.
>>
>>’Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we’ll do
>>is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can
>>choose where to spend eternity.’
>>
>>’Really, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,’ says the senator.
>>
>>’I’m sorry, but we have our rules.’
>>
>>And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes
>>down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the
>>middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and
>>standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians
>>who had worked with him.
>>
>>Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him,
>>shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while
>>getting rich at the expense of the people.
>>
>>They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar
>>and champagne.
>>
>>Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly & nice guy
>>who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such
>>a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.
>>
>>Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises…
>>
>>The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where
>>St. Peter is waiting for him.
>>
>>’Now it’s time to visit heaven.’
>>
>>So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented
>>souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They
>>have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone
>>by and St. Peter returns.
>>
>>’Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now
>>choose your eternity.’
>>
>>The senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: ‘Well, I would
>>never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I
>>think I would be better off in hell.’
>>
>>So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.
>>
>>Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in the middle of a
>>barren land covered with waste and garbage.
>>
>>He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and
>>putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
>>
>>The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. ‘I
>>don’t understand,’ stammers the senator. ‘Yesterday I was here and
>>there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and
>>caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now
>>there’s just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable.
>>What happened?’
>>
>>The devil looks at him, smiles and says, ‘Yesterday we were campaigning.. ..
>>Today you voted.’
A need for prayer from our dear friend John Robb…………
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” (John 15:7)
Dear Friends,
Gathering with prayer leaders from different parts of the world is always a renewing and encouraging experience because they are normally used to “letting God be God”, wanting Him to lead and speak when we meet. While we met in London for our two gatherings, I felt like John 15, the metaphor of the Vine and the Branches, was so relevant. Jesus told his disciples that they together (plural) needed to live in Him and He in them. Truly, our life, unity and fruitfulness in ministry results as we connect with the Vine and with one another through Him. If we gather with this kind of understanding, laying aside our personal agendas, we can be assured that it will always be a powerful life and ministry-transforming experience.
The International Prayer Council executive leadership met for a couple of days of clarifying our ongoing focus. We will continue to gather prayer leaders, especially those who mobilize prayer in their nations and regions, but we will also give focus to important initiatives that the Lord is stirring in His Body during these days such as the Global Gates, those powerful institutions such as the United Nations, Hollywood and others that exert such a prevailing influence on our world. We will also give special priority to the emerging prayer movements among youth and children, encouraging and resourcing them where we can. Such movements we believe are especially on God’s heart and will impact generations to come.
“Surf’s Up” is an international prayer initiative for the transformation of Hollywood during the American Film Market, November 5-12, 2008, that is in its final planning stages. I would like to ask your prayer support and personal participation in it if you are able to take part. Please pray for the following:
1) For deeper unity, intimacy with the Lord and clear, strategic vision by ministry and entertainment industry leaders .
2) For God’s wisdom for those providing leadership and for the provision of ministry helpers, finance and other things required.
3) For the success of Christian-run studios and film makers, such as Promenade Pictures, a new company producing films with a Christian worldview. Their beautifully done animated features on Biblical characters help teach God’s ways to children, and they also want these movies to aid the growing Children in Prayer movement.
4) For the spirit of Babylon, seduction and idolatry coupled with violence and immorality, to be broken over Hollywood so that actors, actresses, producers and others involved in the movie and TV industries can be liberated to know the Lord and produce films that bring blessing rather than harm to the nations.
(Note: If you would like to come to Santa Monica, California to serve as an on-site intercessor or in other ways during the week of November 5-12, please see www.gac4ca.com to find out how you can be involved.)
Please also continue to pray for the overthrow of violence against Christian and minority people groups by Hindu and Muslim agitators in several states of India. I just received news that Muslim mobs have attacked non-Muslim groups in the NE Indian state of Assam, burning homes and driving about 20,000 Boro and other people groups into seeking refuge in schools and camps. Pray for the swift and strong intervention of the authorities and for effective relief for those in need of food, clothing and shelter.
Finally, I rarely mention individuals needing special prayer, but ask you to remember Andrew, the son of my close International Prayer Council colleague, Brian Mills, who was involved in a terrible accident yesterday. The accident severed his spine in five places along with other injuries. Would you please pray for God’s healing touch and for Andrew’s recuperation?
Thanks so much and have a blessed weekend,
John Robb

Here is a couple of excellent reads from our Buddy Nik……….
If God is for you, if you believe He’s still on the throne and still has all power and you’re His kid then maybe we need to start acting like it and get rid of the whoa is me mentality.
If it wasn’t going to be hard then we would be trusting Him…somethings got to give and I believe that we need to let God continue to show us the way. You’ve already seen what man has done.
Do You Really Believe It?
Alan Riley
Dr. Howard Hendricks used to tell his Seminary students that when he listened to most preachers preach, he wanted to interrupt them and say, “You know, I don’t think you really believe what you are preaching.” He said when they assured him they did believe it, he would then keep on goading them until finally they cried out with great passion, “Yes I do! I REALLY do believe this with all my heart!!!”
Hendricks says then he would sit back down and say, “Great. NOW tell us about it!”
Dr. Hendricks makes a great point. Sometimes we come across as not fully believing what we proclaim. Sometimes we don’t “practice what we preach” as my grandmother used to say.
We say that we speak for a God Who is over all and knows all and is in all, yet we frequently don’t behave as if we are Children of the King. We say that our Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills, yet somehow His church has trouble coming up with operating expenses.
The world has been hearing some really depressing economic news this past week, and we’ve bought into it. This past week I’ve heard a lot of church folks talk about how the crisis on Wall Street is affecting the way people are tithing and consequently the way churches are allocating funds. I’ve heard several conversations where people are scared that their ministry would fall victim to the hard times we appear to be heading toward.
Something doesn’t add up here, folks.
I have a question for you: Has the current economic situation changed God? Is He less able than He was a few weeks ago? No! In fact, God knew this was coming. The drop in the Dow Jones average didn’t catch God off guard. And I am certain there is no in Heaven, and that God will continue to provide for us to do what He guides us to undertake!
If we really believe what we have been preaching all this time, this is not a time for the church to fold under the economic realities of the day! If God is our Source – and He is – and if God is leading us to do something, then we need to know that He will provide for it.
We need to practice what we preach!
With the trouble of the economy and families struggling to just make ends meet…we have to remember where our faith is. Is it in God or man? Even those who have saved for retirement are impacted. Earthly treasures are depreciating and if this current economic condition is considered to be the start of a depression then we’re not crying out loud enough for God to hear us as a nation.
Faith Works by Love
Bishop Keith Butler
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love. Galatians 5:6 (KJV)
As born again believers, we have to confront fear or it will become our terror and oppress us.
Now, the Scripture says that oppression and terror will be far from us, and that they won’t even come near us. But how is that possible? Well, it’s possible when we do not allow ourselves to function in fear. Fear is what allows terror and oppression to come to you. And overcoming fear is what drives them far from you.
Many, many years ago, I had a parishioner who was afraid to drive. Well, not only did I pray for him, but I also took him driving at five o’clock in the morning. He started driving and we went on the expressway. Now, of course, there wasn’t a lot of traffic then, but the point was overcoming that fear. Now on the expressway he was terrified, but I told him to say, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I will not fear. God is on my side.” Well, he started speaking the Word and after driving for a week, God delivered him from that fear.
You see, the thought of driving terrified and oppressed him. It also stopped him from doing what he should have been doing for his family.
Listen, fear leads to terror. Terror is the planned, organized use of fear to render its victim helpless to oppression. That’s why we cannot afford to have our lives run by any aspect of fear; it will lead to terror, oppression, and then bondage.
Now Isaiah 54:17 tells us how to handle fear. It says, “You shall condemn.” In other words, you have to open your mouth and speak to fear. You have to condemn it; you have to speak the Word over it and it has to go.
Then, the verse continues by saying, “for this is your heritage, your righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” You are sons and daughters of the Lord and you have a right to condemn anything that comes up against you.
So don’t be dismayed about anything you have to face today. God is telling you to fear not. He is with you every step of the way. When you decide not to fear, you release God to move on your behalf. God’s anointing is on you, in you, and it will produce victory in your life.
