Dear family of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
We are still rebuilding the Daily CUP and data base, sorry for delay……please pray for us!
This is the world we live in………
We love you all……..
I pray that you will let this soak in………………..
There is nothing more thrilling than pursing God and having a personal relationship with our Father. I was told years ago by a Pastor, “Dewey you are A man after God’s own heart.” He said you are like David. I really went to work and read all I could about David! Have you studied the life of David? Perhaps no man has ever went after God’s heart like King David. Many of the psalms are the results of his quietly waiting and reflecting upon God. As a “man after God’s own heart,” David first had to know the mind and heart of God. To a large extent, David accomplished this through the persistent practice of godly meditation. A vivid illustration can be found in 2 Samuel 7. In this chapter we see that David has reached a place of rest in his reign. His war campaigns are no longer on the drawing board, and he is now contemplating building a temple for the Lord. The prophet Nathan gives an encouraging message of God’s faithfulness to David and the Lord’s plan for constructing the temple. David’s response to Nathan’s communique is found in 2 Samuel 7:18 , “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?” Notice the phrase, David “sat before the Lord.” Now he wasn’t sitting in a chair as we would. He was kneeling and sitting back on his heels, listening, and talking to the Lord.
Let us do the same each day.
Pray over the words found in 2 Samuel 7:18″ “Who am I, O Lord God?”
We are to start our day with God and meditate……..
Meditation is the activity of calling to mind, and thinking over, and dwelling on, and applying to oneself, the various things that one knows about the works and ways and purposes and promises of God. It is an activity of holy thought, consciously performed in the presence of God, under the eye of God, by the help of God, as a means of communion with God. Its purpose is to clear one’s mental and spiritual vision of God, and to let His truth make its full and proper impact on one’s mind and heart. It is a matter of talking to oneself about God and oneself; it is, indeed, often a matter of arguing with oneself, reasoning oneself out of moods of doubt and unbelief into a clear apprehension of God’s power and grace. Its effect is to ever humble us as we contemplate God’s greatness and glory, and our own littleness and sinfulness, and to encourage and reassure us–“comfort” us in the old, strong Bible sense of the word–as we contemplate the unsearchable riches of divine mercy displayed in the Lord Jesus Christ.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Richard Griffin of Albuquerque a strong supporter of FGGAM, Richard calls FGGAM a “difference maker in our community”…..Would you and yours pray about becoming a financial supporter of FGGAM, giving has really slowed down in December and into Jan………We need your help today to continue all of our free services, please. We are running into extra expenses like rebuilding the Daily CUP, a new data base, a new delivery system and other costs that we have encountered here early in 2015. The implosion of the Daily CUP and data base was of course an unexpected event. I pray you all see value in what FGGAM does for God’s Glory Alone!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our niece in Milbank, South Dakota, Megan Montag! God Bless you and yours Megan! We love you all!

I want to share with you two inspirational posts that have been a big hit at FGGAM! The first is by Karen Rowe and Randal Thom, the second by Shari Johnson………..
Speaking to a friend this morning; and Randal Thom shares this: “Give it all to God …;” KJLY (Kinship Christian Radio program) says, “It is all God’s anyway!” Scripture says, “Every good and perfect gift comes from God.”
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17 ESV).
Now, God is our supply; and HE gives us all we need!
Why hold back part of who we are; or part of what we have been given from God???
Randal said, “Healing comes when we Stop trying to keep some of the broken pieces in a back closet; God can’t put the vase back together if we hold those pieces back from him. What good is a puzzle if you are missing 23 pieces … just makes for an incomplete picture.”
Is there a small part of you that you are still trusting in something else more than you trust God to handle?
Randal stated this truth: Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. But IF we don’t understand this; it is not UNTIL we come to understand this, THAT we will find Jesus … when we finally seek him with ALL OUR HEART.. We can’t keep half our heart back with the devil; and allow temptations to over power us!
WE can trust God to surrender it all to HIM — THEN, we can resist the devil and he will flee.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7 ESV).”
Jesus loves you! God is the God of an open hand! God loves you!
It is easy to honor the basic commandments, but it is the sacrifice of self thoughts in order to honor Jesus that is hard … but not impossible; we have a helper in the Holy Spirit to carry that blessed cross; and enable us to make choices that fit into God’s dreams for us. Trust Him and read His Word.
Love in Christ,
Karen

Randal’s testimony is both beautiful in the love and devotion of God; and powerful in the purpose of testimony; IN THAT THIS IS YOUR GOD TOO!!!
In Randal Thom’s words this morning:
My light bulb moment came full and clear when I was on my knees crying out to God asking why he took momma home when he did, cause I was so close to getting out. He spoke so clear. Randal, I had to take your mom home now when I had you in a safe place, cause if you were out you would have done as you always do, run to the devil, now you will have the chance to lean to me for the comfort and love you deserve.
So then I had 43 more days to feel the love of Jesus. And yes; I wish so often that I could have had one last time to hug momma, but I then remember that I will have many more times to hug her when we met in heaven. That had I had one last hug, I probably would have only had that one hug, cause the devil would have taken me down fully.
Another part of that testimony: KJLY had just dedicated the song, “I can only imagine” to me. That is why I ended up on my knees crying out.
I had sent them a letter the week before telling them that I needed prayer for my momma; that I was afraid I would not be released from prison before she passed.God’s song to you Randal …
Over the last 8 months of my incarceration, God kept putting Jeremiah 29 11-15 on my daily devotions. and then when I was learning what God love was, the word ALL in verse 13 became the action part of that whole verse. And what a difference; that is where my words from earlier come from.
Jeremiah 29 11-15
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
15 You may say, “The Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,”
Randal’s mom is with Jesus; and my dad; and life is a vapor here and now … It really matters how we do our job here and now … that is the purpose of our life on earth.
Randal replied: Absolutely; yes. It is why we need to give ALL OF OUR HEARTS for then that is when we seek him we will find him when we give ALL TO HIM.
OH shoot yea, I have days where I take back part of my ALL, but I feel it quick and say, “oh no devil, you ain’t getting that.” And, realize that my ALL HAS TO BE WITH JESUS..
Human Nature Verses Spiritual nature; and we have overcome already in Jesus, YET, what Randal has told to us, is living proof that we have to give our all to God daily. We belong to JESUS!
How about you? Do you know you belong to Jesus? Would you like to be certain? Pray to God and tell God that you believe in His Son and believe Jesus has claimed you as His own. Ask Jesus to be your Lord.
God bless you!
Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe

2 Kings 3:15
But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.
One thing that will almost assuredly bring joy to my soul is music. And stringed music that much more; it’s the basics that I love. So my “But Now” verse for today was literally music to my ear when I see the Lord setting the stage for victory through a bluegrasser! (Yes I know that’s a stretch, but a girl can dream can’t she?) Although it was harp that was played, it was still the foundation for the fiddle that would come along in the 16th century. And it matters not to me what particular instrument but rather the fact that God used it and my favorite thing in the world (the Word of God) together.
To set the stage for you in this text, it is the story of two Kings, normally at odds with one another. But this day they had formed an allegiance against a common enemy. King Jehoram of Israel met with Jehoshaphat king of Judah and together they met with the king of Edom and made this agreement in 2 Kings 3:7-8
And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses. And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.
But as they traveled, 7 days into the journey they ran out of water and then began to wonder if it was God’s will at all for them to go to this battle, and whether or not He had set them up to get them killed!
10 And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the Lord hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!
Ha! can I relate to that one. Halfway down any road in life I’ve asked myself that question, so you’ll find me throwing no stones at the kings. But here they are at the crossroad of battling Moab or tuckin’ their tales and turning home and they decide to seek the wisdom of God, which would come through, at that time, a man of God named Elisha. They’re not as privileged as we who are saved today and seek God’s wisdom from within.
I love Elisha’s response when they arrive to ask him to seek God for them; he has to get at least one jab in to the king of Israel who at that time worshipped other gods. He promptly tells him if it wasn’t for his buddy he’d not give him the time of day. That’s Shari quoted… read it for yourself…
14 And Elisha said, As the Lord of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.
Elisha preached it like it was, and the king of Israel did not take him to a happy place. But here comes the fiddle! Okay it was a harp. But before Elisha gives them an answer he needs to set the tone for worship and he does that through stringed music. The rest of the story, they find water and they win the battle through the hand of God!
The lesson here? Before any battle, be it of flesh or foe we need to seek the Lord and we need to do so with a heart of worship. The Battle is His alone. Elisha set his mind on the things above by using the tools below. We have them at our disposal… we just fail to use them. One of my favorite fiddle pieces that would cause Squire Parsons to grimace at the least is “Beulah Land.” Oh…. I have but to lay my bow to the string and draw the first note before God enters my presence… I think He likes Squire’s song too. Are you facing a battle and needing an answer? I suggest you take Elisha’s advice and call the minstrel, and make sure it’s a song God likes…
But now… Somebody get my fiddle.
Thank you for sharing Karen, Randal and Shari! We love you all!
