Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Just a reminder if all images do not show for you please go to FGGAM.ORG www.fggam.org
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24, my life verse.
Sharon and I want to thank all of you who give monthly to support FGGAM. We do not know how to express our thanks in words. Through our Preaching, teaching, counseling, the radio and TV, the website we try our very best each day to bring forth what God shows us. Some of you give when you can and that helps so very much. We know how tough things are. You have entrusted us with a Godly honor, to help us stand in the gap for God and His people, to be watchmen on the wall. You trust us and trust is a precious thing. We trust in our Lord that we do our very best for Him and you everyday. We will work hard everyday the rest of our lives on this earth for God and you. I love to work hard for God, I regret that I spent so many years working hard for man and the secular world., but it did give me valuable experience, I believe it’s made me a stronger man of God. I am thankful for my Godly wife, as I could not do what I do without her backing. She has given up much since I entered ministry full-time. She has sold off many of her personal belongings, and continues to do so in the last 2 years so we can keep going. When God calls you into something your life is never the same. There will always be struggles, it’s in the book, read it, it’s a pretty good read!, LOL!, but when God calls you into His place, the place where He wants you, He will supply all, He will give you enough. It is good to learn in our walk with God that His enough is not many times what are selfish ‘enough’ or wants are. One of the biggest lessons I am learning, It is about surrounding all to God. I wonder at times what we will do when the Chevy quits, transmission is acting up, needs a 1,200.00 repair to the fuel system…….or how we are going to pay for this or that………but then the phone rings at 6am today with Pastor Ruben Gomez out of Midland, Texas who is going to help us make the house payment.! All God! It is a walk of faith and I am getting better at it…..but I have a ways to go! My Sharon and Buffy and Reno are my day to day encouragers. We send our love to you all! Happy Thanksgiving!
Please pray for Tara Shaffer as she is in the hospital with kidney stones. Tara is the lovely wife of Brandon Shaffer the lead Pastor at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, NM and the daughter of Pastor Leonard and Diana Navvare. We pray healing over Tara.
We also ask for prayer for our Buffy who was up at 2am this morning sick and in pain. She is like a daughter to us please pray for healing for her. She is snoring right now as I type this to you! Buffy and Reno are our ministry dogs! Amen!
This was given to me in 2010 when I was manager of KKIM Radio from listener Nancy Huerta
Remember Jesus is the Reason for the Season—-Reason to Celebrate
The Reason being:
He came to show us the Way to Heaven
The way to live a Godly life in a sinful world
to die on a cross for us for our sins
He was God in the flesh Emmanuel–means God is with us
So believe in Your Heart that
He is the Son of God—-the Christ
Confess—declare with your mouth that He died for you and me
He paid the price so that we could live
So that we wouldn’t have to die eternally which is an eternal life in hell.
He did all this for us so we could live eternally in Heaven with Him.
He is God—He is Pure Love
His Love for us is the Reason He came for us
Amen!
Remember Jesus
When I was a little boy growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, I grew up respecting my God, my parents, grandpa and grandma, aunt and uncle’s, my pastor and Sunday school teachers, my teachers in public school, policeman, all adults in my hometown………I was raised in a town of about 4,000 people in Windom, Minnesota. When we were up town if we did not behave ourselves people would say, “Dwayne,(birth name) you better behave, do you want me to call your Dad?” That is what we called “Community Policing” back home! I had a Mom and Dad who taught me self-responsibility and the love of God. One of my Dad’s favorite saying’s to us kid’s was, “Clean up your own backyard before you try cleaning up someone else’s.”
It breaks my heart that our first granddaughter to be born in February is coming into a world that, as a whole, does not know “Self-Responsibility”.
My classmate of 1974 in Windom, Minnesota said this: Jeffrey Galle Well said, pretty simple when it comes down to it.
Thanks Jeff!
Galatians 6:5
For each will have to bear his own load.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
I think it was Pastor Leonard Navarre of Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, New Mexico who first told me about “Thanks-living”. I remember having a wonderful chicken dinner after I preached a few years ago in Grants, New Mexico for Pastor Mark and Juliet Tross at the Church of God and I was expressing how thankful I was for the meal and how delicious the fried chicken was! Juliet said to me, “You sure are thankful for everything, Dewey!” She meant that very sincerely. It got me thinking on how I grew up and what Mom and Dad taught me. Be thankful in everything. Live a life of thanks. Yesterday at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, New Mexico I witnessed first hand a lot of thankfulness. Words didn’t even have to be spoken, you could see it in the eye’s of so many, thankful for a meal and the love of Jesus Christ. Not only were people fed a thanksgiving meal, nearly 600 people!, 200 families were also supplied with food, including a turkey. It was a huge effort by Valley View Christian Church, the Edgewood Mobile Food Pantry, Shorty’s in Moriarty, employees of Smiths Supermarket, Girls and Boy Scouts and more.., I know I am leaving someone out, I am so sorry!….a community effort. I was blessed to be there and offer a little help, but once again I was the one blessed by witnessing and receiving the love of Jesus Christ. I’m big on consistency. I look for churches and people that are consistent in the works of God. I look for churches and people that are consistent in applying God’s Word to this world we live in. That would be Valley View Christian Church. On Monday Valley View held a Thanksgiving Dinner for ‘First Responders’, Police, Fire, Rescue and had 70 hero’s show up for dinner! Thanksgiving and Christmas go on 24/7 everyday of the year at Valley View, if people need help they call or come to Valley View. Last night an Edgewood Police officer showed up to get food for a family in need, he knew he would get help from Valley View. Valley View is the 911 Jesus Christ help line in the Edgewood area. Is your church the 911 Jesus Christ help line in your area? If not, why not? I know another Church like Valley View and it is in Grants, New Mexico, the 911 Jesus Christ help line is Immanuel Baptist Church led by Pastor Garland Moore. If the Police need help with an individual or family they call Pastor Garland. If a family is stranded off the interstate going through New Mexico, the police call Garland. I have seen Pastor Garland in action for Jesus Christ. I also preach once a month at the Reserve, New Mexico Baptist Church and when people in the area need prayer or help they call. You see, Thanksgiving and Christmas are not just a one or two day “celebration” at Valley View, Immanuel Baptist and Reserve Baptist Church, it is a 24/7, everyday of the year expression of the love of Jesus Christ. They apply the Word of God daily. These three Churches witness to me daily, they know no walls.
The communities of Edgewood, Grants and Reserve, New Mexico and the surrounding towns know where they can find Jesus 24/7…….there is always food, water and and lodging.
It really tells me something when I know who the Police look towards in their community for a helping hand.
Is your Church known as the ‘Jesus Hospital’?
This also shows us how important the Church is throughout America, in our smaller communities, in our rural areas……..but it is such a powerful testimony to all Churches, no matter the size of the community or Church.
This Thanksgiving I hold up these three Churches and their Pastor’s and wives and leaders and congregations as the way the Church is meant to be.
Make your Church known for the service you give to God’s people.
These three Churches serve not only their own congregation, they serve their entire community.
Lessons for us all to learn from.
I took these pictures last night at Valley View.
