Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Corinthians 10:31
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Thank you for coming by for a CUP! It has been a very busy few days, first we had the emergency with Sharon’s eye and we thank you all for your prayers! The eye is stable at this time, please continue to pray that the retnia is not pulled on anymore! Pray for complete healing of the eye! Praise God! Then to Denver to spend the Friday night with the kids and then to Longmont, Colorado Saturday morning for the funeral of Ron Bernard the Dad of my dear friend Dan. Oh if we all could live like Dan’s Dad! I have quoted Mark Twain for years in him saying, “Live your life so that at your funeral even the undertaker cries!” Grown me young and old cried at Ron’s funeral because he lived such a Godly life and served many people in his life at Safeway, as a youth coach in football, basketball and baseball. More importantly as a Husband and father! I spoke about how I knew Dan’s Dad even though I never met him, because Dan is just like his Dad, a great man of God who serves many as a Teacher and Coach! Dan is also a great husband and father. I told the folks how we dedicated both games of last Monday nights doubleheader in memory of Ron, we won both games and how Dan made a spectacular catch to end the second game and I did my baseball play-by-play to tell them how exciting it was! It was a great celebration of Ron’s life! I pray we all have a funeral like Ron’s, a celebration of our life and how we served God.
At the reception the young Pastor who did the funeral came up to me and said he would like to hear me Preach more and how he loves my enthusiasm for the Lord. He asked me if I had any advice for a young Pastor!!! I prayed over him and said you have such a heart for God and his people, and God will always give you the words to speak for Him, it is all about Him, all about Him and he will always be with you and give you what you need to be a Pastor! AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!! Please pray for this young Pastor, what a wonderful young man, Sam Cho is his name and he serves at the University Hospital in Denver. Now Lars is coming home for 10 days from Chicago for a visit. PRAISE GOD!!!
Let us remember it is all about Jesus Christ and not us, it is all about serving Him and going where He wants us to go, but we will not know unless we HEAR HIM!
God took me to places I did not know I was going to go to while I was gone……….Pictures from my road trip, Sharon stayed home to rest the eye.
